Vetrophonia / Ultrasomnambula U: bandcamp
Almost 10 years have passed since the release of the last album of the St. Petersburg project Vetrophonia "Formula of War" (Der Angriff, 2011). Of course the duet of Alexander Lebedev-Frontov and Nick Sudnick hasn't been idle all this time: they recorded and released the soundtrack to the movie "A Page of Madness" (Zhelezobeton Film, 2014), the multimedia compilation "Vizualizacija" (Ultrasomnambula U, 2017) and the "Russian Universal Robots" EP (Zhelezobeton, 2017), not taking into consideration multiple solo ventures of both musicians – but the truly new full-length audio work is being released only now.
"Dadacacophonia Dao" was recorded over three years: from 2017 to 2020, and unlike many other recordings of the duet it's not really a conceptual work. In its form, it is a complex collage of a great number of sounds: samples, percussion instruments, fragments of TV and radio programmes, musical pieces and anti-musical noises varying from subtle yet annoying crackles to blustering industrial clatter. Like always with Vetrophonia, all this is composed utterly meticulously, thoughtfully, and spiced up with peculiar humour. This album isn't easy for listening, yet it will surely reward a curious listener with its uniqueness.
The work found its physical embodiment in the form of an audio cassette, released in an edition of 70 hand-numbered copies. The digital version is available on bandcamp.

Petrograd Drone Gathering: vk | telegram
Together with BioSonar^Labyrint we are pleased to present the third release of Petrograd Drone Gathering after "Live at Electro-Mechanica 2018" (Zhelezobeton, 2019) and "17022017" (Status Prod., 2020), with two pieces recorded live in 2016-2019.
The first track is a 20-minute fragment of the very first live performance of the Gathering on October 28th, 2016 at the St. Petersburg Sound Museum (ex-GEZ-21). At that time the project consisted of Evgeniy Savenko (Lunar Abyss), М.М. (Kryptogen Rundfunk), Pavel Dombrovskiy (Uhushuhu) and Pyotr Abysov (Ogni Videniy). From the very beginning the ensemble acquired their trademark sound – a dense psychedelic cocktail of experimental ambient character, based on vibrating guitar drones, processed acoustic instruments, shamanic incantations, analogue synthesizers and field recordings.
The second track is a 45-minute set recorded at the tea club "Know The Tea" on November 30, 2019 with an extended line-up: Evgeniy Savenko (Lunar Abyss), Dmitry Maslyakov (Mira Drevo), Alexey Korablin (Reconstruction Of Moss), Pavel Dombrovskiy (Uhushuhu), Lilia Tkachuk (Tremorkikimor), Anton Sonda-Junglov & Sergey Shmykov (w i i). A gentle stream of sound, enveloping the listener with layers of abstract patterns, into which one can plunge entirely and have a good trip, or simply use it as background for a tea party with hatters of any degree of madness.
The physical manifestation of the album is presented as a limited edition CD of 112 copies, packed in cardboard boxes with silk-screened covers and some inserts hand-made by project members. Digital version is available on bandcamp.

CDs & CD-Rs
AB INTRA -- "Henosis VI-XI" -- CD -- €10
2020 Zoharum, ZOHAR 212-2, (ltd. 300)
Ambient / Experimental. AB INTRA returns to Zoharum with a new piece of music. As title suggests we’re dealing here with a continuation or an expansion of the ideas explored in "Henosis I-V" from 2016. "Henosis VI-XI" takes us on a sound journey that unites (as "henosis" in classical Greek stands for "oneness", "union" or "unity" ) the opposites on different symbolic levels. As much as album presents sound pallete that resembles the previous part it differs in terms of arrangement and composition presenting new, unknown and exciting side of AB INTRA project. Taking the formula of "old plays new ways" AB INTRA once again presents music that’s strongly influencing listeners imagination. Album comes in 6 panel digipack limited to 300 copies. [label info]

GENETIC TRANSMISSION -- "Lullabies" -- CD -- €10
2005/2020 Zoharum, ZOHAR 208-2, (ltd. 200)
Musique Concrète / Industrial. “Lullabies” is an eight instalment in Zoharum’s GT Archive reissue series. “Lullabies” is somewhat of a mock title as Tomek Twardawa plays instruments similar to the ones previously used to record “Strychnina” and gives us nothing short of “tour de fear”. This time industrial rawness is accompanied by narrative field recordings creating coherent yet eerie sound collage. Album could easily soundtrack a horror movie or be perceived as a nightmarish soundscape. Moods shift here suddenly keeping you in constant tension. Rewarding listening. Not for the faint-hearted... Album limited to 200 copies comes in 4 panel ecopack with cover design by Wojtek Zięba. [label info]

GENETIC TRANSMISSION -- "Strychnina (Music For Acoustic Installations)" -- CD -- €10
2005/2020 Zoharum, ZOHAR 207-2, (ltd. 200)
Musique Concrète / Industrial. It has become a sort of tradition that every year during first days of autumn we release at least one part out of GT Archive Series. Keeping this tradition alive we present you seventh instalment of this series that is “Strychnina”. “Strychnina” being one of the most important albums in vast Genetic Transmission discography, originally was released in 2005 as CD-R via his own imprint Die Schöne Blumen Musik Werk. It consists of 2 compositions about 20 min each. Limited edition of 200 copies in 4 panel ecopack. [label info]

GRASSOW, MATHIAS -- "Jericho" -- CD -- €12

GRASSOW, MATHIAS -- "Mondseele" -- CD -- €12
2020/2021 GS Productions, GSP 319 / Nebosvod, (ltd. 100)
Ambient / Drone. "Mondseele" was created in the mid-90s. Shorter pre-versions can already be found on "Arcanum" and "Himavat". This long version is the best and is ideal as a background with "repeat" function. Klaus Wiese contributed to singing bowls and "CLOSING THE ETERNITY" (121) was also involved. However this mixture came about - it comes closest to my understanding of "ambient". [from the author] Released as a 4-panel digipak, limited to 100 copies.

GRASSOW, MATHIAS -- "Vivamus Sit Potens" -- CD -- €12
2018/2021 GS Productions, GSP 321 / Nebosvod, (ltd. 100)
Ambient / Drone. «Vivamus Sit Potens» is a reminder of what man is and what he fails to be... a descent in ten stages... the way, the truth and the lie... [from the author] Released as a 4-panel digipak, limited to 100 copies.

JARL -- "Hyperacusis" -- CD -- €10
2021 Zoharum, ZOHAR 222-2, (ltd. 250)
Experimental / Drone / Industrial. Erik Jarl hails from Sweden and is actively recording and releasing for over two decades now either solo or as a part of power electronics/industrial acts like IRM and KAITEN. On his fourth release for Zoharum titled “Hyperacusis”, Jarl gravitates towards drone void as he explores and sonically interprets this rare hearing disorder... Album consists of 2 long (around 20 minutes each), trance inducing tracks that put you into sedative state. Drones, high frequency pulsations and oscillations work here as a intronautic vessel in which you descend into the depths of subconscious and as much as we are aware that this is a bold statement, the closest comparison that comes to mind is Coil’s Time Machines. Yes, we said it... At first this appears to be a demanding piece of work but it’s utterly rewarding and eventually makes you wanna listen to it on and on and on… (to turn your mind off… to turn your mind off...). CD edition of 250 copies comes in a 6 panel digipack. [label info]

KEIN Z. NECRO -- "Tranen - Tau" -- CD-R -- €6
2021 Evil Dead Productions, EDP 026
Modern Classical. Those who are familiar with Russian underground scene might know the name of Yekaterinburg-based musician Kein by his projects SOL MORTUUS, CHURCH OF HOWLING DOG and CHAOTIC BOUND SYSTEMS, and also from his participation in such bands as ZINC ROOM, PROGNOSTIC ZERO, and some others... But this time he has recorded an album under his own name (well, almost), and this album differs in sound very much from what he had been doing before, because it's completely performed on a grand piano without any electronic manipulations. Yes, it's different in sound, but still quite similar in its mood. Here once can hear some melodic elements that Kein uses in his other projects: detached psychedelia of CHURCH OF HOWLING DOG, complete abstraction and fluency of CHAOTIC BOUND SYSTEMS. These aren't tunes that you can hum to yourself, rather, it's constantly morphing stream of sound, from which a rather dark and disturbing atmosphere seeps out – such music could be quite appropriate as a soundtrack to old silent black & white horror films...

MERTVIJE HIPPY -- "Love" -- CD + CD-R -- €15
2020 Retrogad, RG 05, (ltd. 23)
Industrial Rock. A compilation of tracks from one of the earliest projects of Alexander Lebedev-Frontov (LINIJA MASS, VETROPHONIA, VEPRISUICIDA) – the band Mertvije Hippy ("Dead Hippies"), which also included Yuri Kovalsky (WORMS, MONUMENT STRAHA) and Alexey Flyorov. These recordings were made in 1991-1993 and never previously releasesd (except for two tracks which came out on a tape "Wash + Die / Smells Like Shit Spirit" released by the Ultra label in 1995 with the cat. no. U 03). A must for the fans of Alexander Lebedev-Frontov's work! This set contains the self-titled CD "Mertvije Hippy", released by Provoloka and signed by the band members, plus a CD-R "Archive" with rare tracks and a videoclip. All packed in a black hand-numbered plastic bag.

MUSLIMGAUZE -- "Abyssinia Selasie" -- CD -- €11
2015 Staalplaat / Muslimgauze Archive, 26
Dub / Experimental. Although Bryn Jones’ work as Muslimgauze certainly numbers dub within its influence, rarely is that influence treated as directly or centrally as it is on many of the tracks found on Abyssinia Selasie. A rarity among the material Jones left behind... The opening title track alone, with its steady bassline and dopplering, insistent beeps, is as close to an unadulterated dub track as Jones ever came, even as the separate coda “Benzedrine Wallah” starts cranking up the outbursts of percussion. Not every song on this trim, focused collection goes in that same direction, but even elements like “Arab”’s wobbling percussion and female vocals share a similar sensibility. Even the stark “Mind of a Suicide Bomber” is more coolly menacing than overtly hostile. [label info]

MUSLIMGAUZE -- "Jerusalaam" -- CD -- €11
2016 Staalplaat / Muslimgauze Archive, 32, (ltd. 700)
Experimental / Tribal. Jerusalaam plus the two extra tracks make up unused material from the Return of Black September sessions. The contrast, even for someone with as wide a range as Muslimgauze had, is stunning. The original Jerusalaam fits in with much of Bryn Jones’ classic work, with a heavy emphasis on hand percussion, bass-heavy distortion, sharply clipped loops, and the seething his of static. The two otherwise unnamed Return of Black September tracks, however, follow that album in taking a much more cleanly digital feel, with many of the elements Jones usually uses present but in more stripped down or even mechanized forms. The relatively clean pulse of these two longer compositions serve as a refreshing contrast next to the hand- and tape-made feel of tracks like “All the Stolen Land of Palestine” and “Hessian Bag of Camel Parts”, an invigorating reminder of the breadth and vitality of Jones’ work even now. MUSLIMGAUZE -- "Libya Tour Guide" -- CD -- €11
2015 Staalplaat / Muslimgauze Archive, 31, (ltd. 700)
Experimental / Tribal. Libya Tour Guide ranges over different sounds and modes as it goes, from the almost collage of short pieces featured near the beginning to the subdued, sinister pulsing of “Great Satan Shadow” to the extended, sometimes digitally shredded journey of “Aqua Tingktyur”. Even more than normal, here Jones’ tracks comment on each other, with the already hectic squiggles of “Benzedrine, Effendi” immediately answered with the fiercer distortions of the same sound on “No, Benzedrine, Effendi” and “East of Tarabulus” naturally takes the listener further than “Tarabulues” just did. The result, whether it’s the richly echoing hand percussion of “Kurnel” or the choking static of “Rebiana Sand Sea”, is as intoxicating as always. [label info]

NOR_POL -- "Construction" -- CD -- €10
2020 Zoharum, ZOHAR 206-2, (ltd. 250)
Ambient / Experimental. NOR_POL is a project that came to life as a natural effect of long term collaboration between Jørgen Knudsen and Łukasz Szałankiewicz aka ZENIAL. Artists met at Detali Zvukow festival in Kijev in 2006 and since then worked together on numerous sound installations and musical forms of which some of them were released as parts of some ZENIAL albums. Along the years Jørgen and Łukasz recorded enough material to select out of it tracks that put together created a coherent stand alone release "Construction"... Album itself presents a vast sound palette from ambient to more abstract and experimental forms putting emphasis on artists workflow based on metaphors... Mastering for this album was done by Rafal Sądej (MOAN). Artwork based upon graphics of Bartosz Zaskórski was desinged by Radek Kamiński (AB INTRA). Album comes in 6 panel ecopack limited to 250 copies. [label info]

OLE LUKKOYE -- "Zapara" -- CD -- €10
1993/2021 Fulldozer Records, FDCD43, (ltd. 300)
Darkwave / Ethnic / Psychedelic Rock. Fulldozer Records presents an extended reissue of the significant Russian album of the 90s - Ole Lukkoye "Zapara", originally released on vinyl in 1993 by the label Antrop. Ole Lukkoye does not need a special introduction: the ethno-electronic band from St. Petersburg, which has existed for more than three decades, is well known to all connoisseurs of world music and psychedelia, not only in Russia, but also far beyond. Since its inception in 1989, Ole Lukkoye has released 8 full-length albums, which were released in Russia, Germany and the United States and received good press coverage. Starting from 1994 the band toured extensively throughout Europe, and five years later met the legendary German krautrock band Faust. The result of this collaboration was the recording and release of the album "Crystal Crow-Bar" in 2000 on the Klangbad label, owned by one of the Faust founders Hans Joachim Irmler, as well as the release of two other Ole Lukkoye albums on this label. The permanent leader and songwriter of the band Boris Bardash, among other things, is known for his participation in the recording of Theodor Bastard's albums "Pustota" and "Beloe: Hunting For Fierce Beasts"... A very special place in the creative heritage of Ole Lukkoye is occupied by the first album "Zapara", recorded in 1993 at the Antrop studio in St. Petersburg with the participation of engineer Yassin Tropillo. The album had a great influence on the sound of famous modern Russian ethno-electronic groups and on the entire Russian world music scene. As those who have not yet had the opportunity to hear this album and who have heard it for the first time today rightly point out, it is hard to believe that such music was recorded in Russia in 1993. The unique and original sound of the album "Zapara" has absorbed both the influences of the best examples of the 80s darkwave scene and the tunes of various ethnos of the world, as well as the psychedelia of meditative rock and the avant-garde techniques of jazz fusion. Roughly seven musicians took part in its recording, and the range of instruments extends from keyboards, percussion and acoustic and electric guitars to bassoons, cello and banjo. The album's magical spirit-lifting atmosphere is enframed by hypnotic recitatives in Russian performed by Boris Bardash and Andrei Lavrinenko... The canonical CD version of the album is supplemented with two previously unreleased bonus tracks: the meditative instrumental "Enfilade", recorded in 1993 at the studio of the Leningrad House of Radio, and the first version of the song "Toomze", which was recorded in 1995 at DDT studio in St. Petersburg, but was never included in this form in the eponymous album released a year later. RAPOON -- "Dust of Souls" -- CD -- €10
2019/2020 Zoharum, ZOHAR 209-2, (ltd. 500)
Ritual / Dark Ambient. “Dust of Souls” was previously released by Ultra Mail Prod. Limited to 100 copies release was almost entirely sold out in pre-sale leaving many Rapoon fans empty handed and aurally dissatisfied. Trying to meet the expectations of those who weren’t lucky enough to get this album Zoharum picks up the gauntlet and decides to reissue this important piece of Rapoon’s discography... Album presents 8 tracks of trance inducing rhythms and sounds. With a use of processed acoustic instruments, electronics and ambient scapes Robin Storey takes us on a journey to the unknown lands and spaces. Near East ethnic influences are served in a form of loop based brain captivating compositions. Think of softer side of Muslimgauze but more ritual and hypnotic... As usual former member of :zoviet*france: delivers a great piece of listening, where you can fully appreciate his years of experience as musician and independent artist. This is experimental music in its best. Album comes in 6 panel digipack limited to 500 copies. [label info]

2008 Sketis Music, SKMR-062
Guitar Ambient / Trance. Guitar ambient on a album Kukkovka is a journey into the fragile world of images and sounds. THE SAND RAYS -- "The Infant Cycle EP" -- 3"CD-R -- €3
2019 CEIL, CEIL047
Drone / Glitch / Experimental. In 2009, The Infant Cycle released a CD titled "The Sand Rays". Now, ten years later, The Sand Rays created an EP that will allow the The Infant Cycle to name itself after it, closing the ten year envelope that will loop in perpetuity. There is nothing The Sand Rays enjoy more than repetition. Although this release may appear to be yet another attempt for The Sand Rays to sabotage its own catalogue, it's really just a shimmer and fold. A great deal of material was generated for the Ruddy online release for Silber Records' multi-artist Droneuary series, much more than was used, later all sprawled out into a number of alternate versions and re-thinks/sidetracks rising out of the murk. SCHROTTERSBURG -- "Dalet" -- CD -- €10
2021 Zoharum, ZOHAR 224-2 / Bat-Cave Productions, BCCD84 / DIY Kolo Records, #DIY083, (ltd. 300)
New Wave / Post Punk. "Dalet" is a fourth full length installment in Schröttersburg (aka Płock – city in central Poland) output. Album presents persistence of vision in trio’s style and that is new wave and postpunk aesthetics with kraut rock propulsion enriched by echoes of psychedelia and industrial rawness. Add yearning vocals on top and you get a balanced mixture that keeps you hypnotized throughout 7 songs from the very beginning till the very end. Album is very cohesive as a whole, but also every song lives its own life as a autonomous entity. The lyrics are as deeply emotional as they are expressive and they complete the music perfectly. Limited CD edition of 300 copies comes in a digipack with 16 page booklet. [label info]

SYNTA[XE]RROR -- "[.] DOT" -- CD -- €10
2021 Zoharum, ZOHAR 220-2, (ltd. 300)
IDM / Experimental. SYNTA [XE] RROR is a duo of Bartosz “Kostia” Jakubicki and Artur “Blacha” Błaszczyk hailing from Wroclaw in southern Poland. Project came to life in the late ‘90s. Guys officialy released 2 albums – “Abyad” in 2006 on Polish War Office Propaganda and “Final” in 2007 on Italian Ars Benevola Mater... Among 9 tracks of the album Kostia and Blacha present their skills of sound design and quite intricate arrangement. Artificial sounding and non-obvious rhythms are enriched by very emotional, melodic pads and synths giving a great impression of symbiosis of a man and machine... Album recalls early 2000s IDM sound in a great way, bringing back memories of projects like GRIDLOCK or SOMATIC RESPONSES of Hymen fame - cold and synthetic on one side, warm and very humane on the other. CD edition of 300 copies comes in 6 panel ecopack. [label info]

Drone / Dark Ambient. Troum returns to Zoharum with "DA-PU-RI-TO-JO" – a collection of tracks taken from 7” singles (and one digital EP) that were released through the years 2004-2016. Listening to the album in one go Troum takes us on a journey to the farthest corners of human psyche. From heaven to hell and back. It’s all here. VIDNA OBMANA & SERGE DEVADDER -- "The Shape Of Solitude" -- CD -- €10
1999/2020 Zoharum, ZOHAR 211-2, (ltd. 400)
Guitar Ambient / Experimental. "The Shape of Solitude" is Vidna Obmana’s collaboration with Belgian guitarist and synthesist Serge Devadder. The album marks once again Vidna Obmana’s constant strive for experimentation and expanding his oeuvre with new combinations, blending genres so to speak. Influenced by way more than only the ambient music he stood for, Vidna Obmana believed in music that exist beyond classification and that also the genre in which he operated could use way more than the standard approaches. THE SHAPE OF SOLITUDE is an unique album in his oeuvre: bold, abstract, emotionally-charged and eerie. [label info] The Shape of Solitude takes Vidna Obmana’s music nearer the realm of the Avant-Garde. This collaboration with guitarist Serge Devadder demonstrates Vidna Obmana’s willingness to lead the audience, not persue them; fans of his gentle soundscapes or tribal grooves will find themselves challenged by this CD. The source for all the pieces was the guitar. Devadder’s already contorted riffs were bent even further by Vidna Obmana’s studio wizardry. Even the pacing of the album is somewhat difficult: a piece of dissonant outside music - followed by something warm and mysterious - into a harsh studio mutilation of yet another twisted guitar loop... The music is questioning and plaintive, completed only by a listener’s comprehension. Fortunately, the music is as interesting as the process by which it was realized. At moments edgey and inpenetrable, at others deep and serene, The Shape of Solitude is a successful experiment in the use of timbres and sounds to portray moods and feelings avoided by most musicians. YAO 91404 D -- "Retinoskop Sredneugolniy" -- 3"CD-R -- €16
2021 self-released, (ltd. 5)
Laboratorial Droning Noise Ambient with industrial sound, pulling cosmic rumble and wry psychedelic flavor. Twenty-minute work in the key of "Elektron" and "Psychocosmic", but at the same time, of course, completely different. The general morbid mood in the style of the old Membrum Debile Propaganda (and especially Stabat Mors) is supported by the design: a hand-made montage from old scientific photographs, crudely decorated with silver paint. Each copy is packed in a DVD box, supplemented with 2 extra photos and a real vintage optical lens. [from the author]
YASNAIA -- "Oniro" -- 2 CD -- €15
1996/2021 Zoharum, ZOHAR 219-2, (ltd. 500)
Ritual Ambient. Zoharum is proud to present “Oniro” an extended 2CD reissue of 1996 classic previously released by World Serpent - home to projects like CURRENT 93, DEATH IN JUNE, COIL and alike... Leen Smets aka YASNAIA - vocalist of HYBRYDS project (until her departure in 2000) takes us on a great journey through many states of consciousness and dimensions. Her haunting and hypnotising voice guides us through 10 tracks of the album. Chants and incantations keep us captivated from very beginning to the very end. Dark rites and ethereal psychedelia. A sexual energy channeled in rhythm driven magical tribalism... Exclusive to this release is a second CD containing live performance recorded at "Wolfsmond", München, Germany on 16th of August 1997 giving you a pretty good impression of how the whole ritual conducted by YASNAIA might sound and look like. The CD ends with 3 tracks, two of which were previously released on 7” vinyls courtesy of Ant-Zen and Spectre (Nexus) and third has been unreleased - until now... A great testimonial of '90s Art of industrial music. Unparalleled and essential. 2CD edition of 500 copies comes in 6 panel digipack. [label info]

Ritual. Zoharum is proud to present another ritual recording by PHURPA brought to you on beautiful 180g vinyl. After "Rituals Of Bon I & II", "Lta Zor" is the third installment of mysterious Russian duo on Zoharum. If you ever had the opportunity to experience PHURPA live you know how overwhelming experience this is, as this is not a gig. This is a ceremony in purest sense of word. Overtone singing piercing through your mind and soul creating vibration that penetrates every cell of your body, occasionally accompanied by traditional Buddhist instruments (some of them made of human bones) all veiled with dense smoke of incense. This is what "Lta Zor" is like. It’s a spiritual transfer enclosed in an album format. This is the power of human voice. This is the power of sound. [label info]

Seamlessly flowing from one dancefloor to another, the music envelopes in magic waves more and more densely and pleasantly, as if offering to be a caterpillar pupating for the winter in some cozy place in between worlds. FLUCTUATING GUITAR TRIO -- "Stress Field" -- CS -- €8
2021 Extra Notes, EN 002
Free Improvisation / Guitar Noise from St. Petersburg, Russia. In their initial form rock masses are stressed – this state is called natural state of stress and is determined by the action of two independent forces inside the Earth’s crust – gravitational and tectonic. Gravitational force is quite homogeneous, while tectonic is more complicated, due to uneven spreading of speeds of tectonic movements and deformations of Earth’s crust in space. Parameters of fields of tectonic tensions may greatly vary both in space and time. Natural state of stress and its changings lead to deformations, displacements and destructions of different elements of rock masses in the depth and on the surface. [label info]

Ambient / Drone / Folk. The second album of the St. Petersburg-based female drone project. This album is a kind of soundmap. We've never been to these places, but from somewhere know about them. Our way starts at the backwater and then leads through shady thickets of nettles. Then the soil under your feet seems to end. It's like you're falling underground. Here, in a strange new place, you start to move towards the forest. Your way leads to the hut. The door is open and you can enter. Time passes and you find yourself next to the cold northern lake. You put your hands in icy water and wake up touching it... [label info] Pro-dubbed cassette tape, full on-body UV print, in printed 'O' sleeve with additional handmade outer wrap.

XURI -- "Bedlam Of Salt" -- CS -- €14
2021 Janushoved, Janushoved no. 129
Dark Ambient / Experimental / Industrial. “Bedlam of Salt” marks the fourth full-length album by Xuri (formerly known as Yuri), a product of the desire to connect and collaborate in a year of absence. From pulsing club ready tracks to contemplative arrangements, Xuri displays her signature sound of playful industrial in a new shared exploration, featuring the dramatic vocals of Lueurs Nocturnes, along with cellist Oliver Vaupel and drummer Hasse Bruun. The listener is transported to a gallery of chimeric illusion, always moving between confinement and release. Travelling through a number of contrasting soundscapes, the album forms an intriguing kaleidoscope of emotive states in a time of disruption... From the repetitious trance-inducing opening ‘Datura, Luciferin’s Trumpet’ to the high intensity club-fitting anthemic ‘Kali’s Dance’ and the uneasy but tender landing of ‘A Scene of Calx’, the album provides a steady journey into the multifarious unknown, agitating and engaging in an encompassing and dramatic movement... For the past few years Xuri has made note of herself as one of the clearest new voices in the Copenhagen experimental scene, known for her playful style as well as her techno output as Parietal Eye (out on Mama Snake’s Amniote Editions label) and various collaborations with Internazionale. This latest outing sees her venturing even further into a collaborative space. [label info]

1000SCHOEN / AB INTRA -- split -- 2 CD -- €12
2014 Zoharum, ZOHAR 070-2, (ltd. 400)
Drone / Ambient / Experimental. Zoharum proudly presents the split release of drone stalwart 1000SCHOEN (DE) and ambient soundscape sculptor AB INTRA (PL). Drone and ambient structures are places on the opposite poles, like fire and water, or air and earth. Acoustic music of 1000SCHOEN created with using only natural sound sources in mind and electronic compositions of AB INTRA complement each other on this release despite many differences. In the four parts of this split album various colours, shades, tones of such soundscapes are presented. The content of the following split release would make up separate albums of both artists, yet they gain another meaning in such a juxtaposition, in changeable atmospheres, building tension and reflections. It is a unique record, a rare one in the scene. This collaboration did not end up with sonic content only since both Radek Kaminski (AB INTRA) i Helge S.Moune (1000SCHOEN) paint apart from creating music. Hence the split album boasts two separate front covers submitted by the artists. This release is presented in a vinyl replica sleeve and is strictly limited to 400 copies. [press-release]

2006 Diophantine Discs, n = 5,6, (ltd. 100)
"Heart Full of Soul," nearly 23 minutes, is one of DELPHIUM's darkest and noisiest recordings to date. The very direct and engaging work features tracks ranging from droning dark ambient to distorted and expressive rhythmic beats. "Translation" is a 20-minute release consisting primarily of THE INFANT CYCLE processing and supplementing avantgarde clarinet recordings by Ramunas Yaras. The resulting experimental (and somewhat rhythmic) pieces fall variously within the spectrum between ambient drone and noise. This release is presented as a pro-printed 2x3"CDr set, packaged in a special color folder sleeve, and limited to 100 copies. DELPHIUM has been active since 1993, releasing numerous vinyl and CD releases on labels such as Drone, Moloko+, Hibou, and his own Aquese label. THE INFANT CYCLE, active since 1992, has many releases on labels such as EE Tapes, Blade, Hands, and his own label, The Ceiling. HUM -- "Roots of Cruelty" -- 3"CD-R -- €6

Industrial / Drone. This minion represents more industrial than drone side of the project. Metal objects, rumbling far away, dim noises and lingering sound waves - these are the colours used by Hum to draw the four soundscapes in this album, with beautiful sense of taste which is typical for this project. Nice cardboard artwork.

HYBRYDS -- "Dreamscapes From A Dark Side / Voices Without A Sound" -- 2 CD -- €14
1996/2019 Zoharum, ZOHAR 179-2, (ltd. 500)
Dark Ambient / Ritual. The next volume in HYBRYDS reissue programme is a double CD collecting two albums: "Dreamscapes from a Dark Side" and "Voices without a Sound". After the well-received reissue of "Mistrust Authority & Tectonic Overload", which contains a more rhythmic, cybernetic face of the Belgian project, "Dreamscapes" (originally released in 1996) is a return to very atmospheric regions. Next to "Soundtrack for the Aquarium", it is the most ambient album in HYBRYDS discography. Tracks full of stillness are interrupted by samples from several iconic films. "Dreamscapes from a Dark Side" is certainly a unique disc in the discography of the Belgian project... The later album "Voices without a Sound" perfectly goes with the first disc (it contains recordings from 1999-2001), originally released under the name NA-DHA. The recordings on this one are the effect of improvisations recorded live which also can be heard perfectly. Sandy Magthea Nijs shows here a slightly more ritual face of his music, a bit closer to the early recordings of HYBRYDS. Still, it is a pensive, moon music... The album has been digitally remastered from the original master tapes. Sandy Nys provided the cover based on the previous editions. The CDs are housed in a digipak sleeve and the album is strictly limited to 500 copies. [label info]

HYBRYDS -- "Music for Rituals" -- 2 CD -- €14
1992/2014 Zoharum, ZOHAR 059-2, (ltd. 500)
Ritual Ambient / Industrial. Zoharum continues reissuing past works of one of the most interesting projects coming from the 1980s underground - Hybryds. The third installment in this series is the extended 2CD reissue of their first CD album "Music for Rituals". Sandy Nys talks about the album: "Music for Rituals was first released in a hand-made pouch, on the German label ARTWARE. The music was like the first tape release, made in different places with different people on a 4-track Tascam cassette recorder. I also started making mail art music with musicians from far away in the world (no Internet back then) sending basic music on cassette which I used in the compositions. In this music, Yasnaia and her cello + voice became prominent as we started working together. The rarities cd contains some stuff I did with Alpha Project aka Mark Burghgraeve (Somnambulist, Mbryo, Klinik etc..). The saxapulation project was a mail collaboration with Barry Edgar Pilcher. A saxophone player from the UK, sending me sax improvisations on cassette. From those pieces I made small samples with a Korg delay capable of making samples of a few seconds (remember it were the 80 ties!). I mixed them together on the 4 track cassette to new sounds and compositions. It was released as a tape on 3RIOTAPES. From than on Barry started to be a Hybryds member with his sax contributions on the Hybryds releases. Beautiful girl hunter: I met Michel (I forgot his second name) in a pub in Antwerp. We started discussing astrology as he claimed to be an excellent astrologist himself. At the end of the evening after lots of drinks he told me he was building and playing kotos. A few days later he came by with 2 beautiful crafted kotos. It was a pity we only had an afternoon time, he showed me how to play this wonderful meditative instrument. We played a lot, but I did not record much, thinking this could lead to a new music collaboration. But Michel just disappeared out of my life. Another meeting in those times happened when I was running a video renting store and he rented some weird underground stuff. "Girl Hunter" was a strange SM video from Japan. I mixed the voices of this movie on the few recordings of koto and some cello pieces from Yasnaia to create a fantasy world, the soft meditative music with the exotic Japanese voices telling weird stuff about life, sex, pain, lust and death. Luckily, the movie had subtitles and you can find it now on the Internet. The track disappeared unused in my archives and was specially remixed from the original 4-track cassette for this CD." HYBRYDS -- "The Rhythm of the Ritual / Ein Phallischer Gott" -- 2 CD -- €14
1994/2016 Zoharum, ZOHAR 116-2, (ltd. 500)
Ritual Ambient / Industrial. Zoharum continues reissuing past works of one of the most interesting projects coming from the 1980s underground - Hybryds. ”The Rhythm of the Ritual / Ein Phallischer Gott” is the fifth instalment in the reissue series of Hybryds classic releases... Sandy tells a few words about the period: In the 1990s only small independent labels existed which had their own area to cover distributionwise hoping to spread our music in the world. ”The Rhythm of the Rituals” (1994, Charnel Music) and ”Ein Phallischer Gott” (1997, Crowd Control Activities) shared some songs. There were no official media supporting this world of “underground” music. Acid and rave became popular in the “commercial” scene. Pro Tools was the magic word. But we made our music live on the 8-track. The only sequences were the drum machines. We stayed loyal to working the old-fashioned way. It's the more rhythmical and ethnical side of Hybryds, lots of percussion, played acoustically, or sampled and looped, or from drum machines. Some of the basic music was from the 1980s but by then we worked on a reel-to-reel 8-track tape recorder with a bigger mixing desk. Livewise we started to transfer to our cyberpunk period (as visible in the live version of ”Whisper”). Depending on the demand we had two live shows, the “magical” or the cyberpunk. It was also the time when Yasnaia and me did the live shows alone. We did not work live on stage with others anymore. We had a manager, Patty Hele from Motherdance. It was easier to travel and perform with two people only. Yasnaia released her solo album and started playing live with her solo project... The first CD collects tracks from two studio releases ”The Rhythm of the Ritual” and ”Ein Phallischer Gott”. The live CD contains live versions of the studio CD (some taken from the live Obuh vinyl LP) and some extras, like an unreleased song ”Dusk Falling”... The album has been digitally remastered from the original master tapes by none else but Sandy Nys, who also provided the cover based on the previous editions. The CDs are housed in a digipak sleeve and the album is strictly limited to 500 copies. [press-release]

IEROPHANIA & FANUM -- "Escort Of Endless Summer" -- CD -- €9
2012 Radiodrone Records, RD-09, (ltd. 250)
The new chapter in the chronicle of the end of times. Ierophania (UFA Muzak, SkullLine) from Rostov-on-Don and Moscow based act Fanum (Valgriind, Radiodrone Rec.) gathered in order to convey their disturbing mystical revelation to us. Stepping "through the open reality" with them, you risk to gain the experience that is incompatible with your past life, to be in the midst of a tense battle between Madness and Faith. Here, on the border of physics and metaphysics, "the temple on the blood of Human" is dominates, from which we can hear snatches of spiritual songs, blending with the roar of infinity. The fragments that was ?ollected on the battlefields adds up to an apocalyptic picture. But the "Soldiers of prophecy" is coming closer, and the "heart inherit the eternity." [press-release]

JARL -- "Negative Rotation / Intensive Fracture" -- 2 CD -- €14
2017 Zoharum, ZOHAR 152-2, (ltd. 250)
After the critically acclaimed (and almost sold-out) collaborative album with Envenomist, Jarl returns to Zoharum fold with the next release. It is the first in the series of albums collecting rare works of Erik Jarl known for his involvement with IRM and Skin Area apart from his solo work. His own compositions are an exquisite mix of static ambient with strong influence of drone, noise or post-industrial electronica in general... This double CD is a reissue of two cassettes originally released by Abisko. They were recorded on a Fostex 8-track recorder. Both tapes sound very different. ”Negative Rotation” is cold and monotonous, but with some changes in sounds that repeats themselves, while ”Intensive Fracture” is improvised psychedelic floating noise. Both recordings were done with analogue synthesizers and analogue effects. This double CD also contains five bonus tracks from different compilations... The CDs are housed in an ecopak sleeve and the edition is strictly limited to 250 copies. [label info]

Noise / Experimental / Dada. I presents in one edition a full twelve-year anthology of the Kinoteatr Provolochnykh Pirozhko project. In 2008, a provincial Siberian visual and noise act began with this project. Unlike my other projects, all this time it had practically no physical incarnations - only web releases. Now I have fixed it and made this artifact containing noise work in a variety of forms. Here and field recordings, and radio noise, and dadaistic audio collages and dark ambient and minimalistic drones and much more. From early naive work to more thoughtful. All so that you can fill the silence of your environment for more than ten hours. The design of the release is made under the same motto under which all this activity began twelve years ago: Vive La Primitivism! Ten white CD-Rs with blue spots (the number of spots corresponds to the disc number), packaged in a large multi-disc DVD box. The design of each copy is individual. [from the artist]

Martial Industrial / Dark Ambient / Neoclassical. Even the Paper Moon Republic is familiar with the tread of war. Along with it we're presented with a terrifying and somewhat attractive collage from the inevitable cannonade of fear, violence, cheerful children’s voices and pure unadulterated love. The steel gates of the upcoming Valhalla's propaganda sparkle as a fiery star through the hazy fog of everyday life. Let in the collection of things from the Empire of War Factories. You have to love it. Two surface-printed CD-Rs packed in a Double DVD Box. [label info]

MACHINEFABRIEK -- "The Measures Taken" -- CD -- €10
2015 Zoharum, ZOHAR 091-2, (ltd. 300)
Experimental / Drone / Soundtrack. After last year's two releases (a compilation of rare tracks ”Dubbeltjes” and the reissue of a collaborative album with Dag Rosenqvist entitled ”Vintermusik”) a renowned sound artist Rutger Zuydervelt returns with a completely new album called ”The Measures Taken”. It is the score for a dance performance by choreographer Alexander Whitley and visual artists Marshmallow Laser Feast. ”The Measures Taken” was originally commissioned by the Royal Opera House (it premiered there in May 2014). The spectacular performance involves a lot of hi-tech interactivity between dancers and projected visuals. The theme of man vs/with machine is magnified by the music, which combines warm melodic pads with glitchy white noise and (more than on any other Machinefabriek release) propulsive rhythms. Now you can enjoy the music from the performance on a physical album which is also striking without the use of the visual side... The album is released in a 3-panel ecopak in a strictly limited edition of 300 copies. [press-release]

MACHINEFABRIEK -- "Wendingen (Selected Remixes 2005-2015)" -- CD -- €10
2016 Zoharum, ZOHAR 117-2, (ltd. 300)
Experimental / Drone. This is the third Machinefabriek album (and Rutger Zuydervelt's fourth) released in cooperation with Zoharum. After last year's well-received previous album, "The Measures Taken", containing music to the contemporary dance performance, Rutger prepared "Wendingen" for us. The album which is a compilation and at the same time it is not; which contains recordings of other artists and at the same time is completely fresh look at them through the Zuydervelt's glasses; finally it is an album that contains remixes and at the same time sounds like a completely new Machinefabriek album... In fact, from the beginning of its activity under the name Machinefabriek, Rutger Zuydervelt also acts as a prolific remixer for the likes of Nils Frahm, Balmorhea, Dirk Serries and Amon Tobin. The collection entitled "Wendingen" collects a substantial part of those reworks and contains reinterpretations of tracks by Mensenkinderen, Wouter Van Veldhoven, Fieldhead, Aaron Martin, Coppice, de la mancha, The Moi Non Plus, Djivan Gasparyan, Amon Tobin, Gareth Hardwick, Fiium Shaarrk, Vladimir and Red Stars Over Tokyo. Because they are reconstructions done by, not for, Machinefabriek, "Wendigen" sounds like a completely new album, not a compilation. It is also the proof of the craftsmanship of one of the most interesting figures on the European electronic or experimental music scene... The album is released in a 3-panel ecopak in a strictly limited edition of 300 copies. The cover is based on the original by Rutger Zuydervelt. It was mastered by Lukasz Miernik. [press-release]

Drone / Industrial. Musicians of the now-defunct Maeror Tri have already had many opportunities to work with Zoharum on both releasing their new recordings and reissues of their older material. Our catalog contains titles by Troum ("Autopoiesis / Nahtscato", "Seeing-Ear Gods" and "Dreaming Muzak"), 1000Schoen (double split with Polish Ab Intra), and also their original project Maeror Tri ("Emotional Engramm" and "Meditamentum"). Together with musicians we remove blank spots in their discography by restoring their older recordings... Maeror Tri was a project operating since the mid-80s until 1997, when they released their last album entitled "Emotional Engramm." In their works they penetrated such genres as minimalism, ambient and industrial music, and borrowed drone aesthetic from classical music. In addition to seven regular albums on CD and LP, they released a number of cassettes. They contained much rawer recordings compared to those from the trio's regular albums... The third release in this series is "Archaic States" originally released in 1993 by the Japanese label G.R.O.S.S. Tapes. It was the ninth cassette in the discography of Maeror Tri. MAW -- "s/t" -- 3"CD-R -- €6
2002/2012 Datura Landscapes, Datura 12
Industrial / Drone. Side-project of Hum. One long track recorded in 1999 and previously released on a self-titled cassette by Ultra Low Fidelity label in 2002. The composition starts with a slowly looped flanger coil gradually powering up and then suddenly falling in rusty abyss... metallic clanging comes in, interrupted by unexpected outbursts of insanely hypertrophic voice and subtle resonating waves embracing everything in a droney fog... Beautiful soundscape in vein of isolationist ambient / industrial / drone... "Initially dedicated to a one from Blake's "Proverbs of Hell" in demo version this project had a subtitle - "Everything possible to be believ'd is an image of truth", later reduced. All material recorded and mixed on 4-track in three days in early September 1999 with using tapes, tape loops, Lel'22, radio and Korg ToneWorks. There are two versions of this work. This release contains the original version of September 1999 without any correction. Cassette release of 2002 features a revised version, with some additional treatments and an extra section excluded from original mix of 1999. Final section in both versions co-produced with Roman Sidorov (STARUHA MHA, DER GOLEM), who in turn used same material as basis for the last track on "Diszipline of Blown-up Bridges" album. Both versions are illustrated by photos of Pavel Aleynikov made in 1998/99 and perfectly conveying the idea and spirit of the project." [from the author]

PHURPA -- "Chod" -- 2 CD -- €14
2016 Zoharum, ZOHAR 127-2, (ltd. 400)
Ritual. Tibetan “chöd” roughly means “being cut off”. That is also the title of the new piece of work of shamans from Moscow. Phurpa returns with a completely new material, without doubt, the best in their discography. It perfectly shows the strength of their music based on the “rgyud-skad” singing, meditation and the use of traditional instruments, often made of human bones... Chöd is the practice of sacrificing the body. To actively participate in meditation we invite not only enlightened beings, but also the residents of the six realms of existence, including the essence of hell and all the spiritual “filth” there is, all possible demons. They just have to be the main beneficiaries of the sacrifice made, and the body of the meditator becomes their food. Traditionally, this practice was carried out in desolate and lonely places, and often even frightening – in the fields of cremation and burial grounds near the dismembered corpses and wild animals preying on them. The practitioners of chöd were called crazy yogis... Over a 90-minute monolith in two scenes. The musical trans introducing listeners into the state of meditation. “Chöd” is released as a double album in 3-panel ecopak, in a strictly limited edition of 400 copies. [label info]

PHURPA -- "Mantras Of Bon" -- CD -- €10
2014 Zoharum, ZOHAR 075-2 II, (ltd. 250)
Ritual. PHURPA is one of the most interesting recent music phenomena. Founded by Alexey Tegin they create meditative music with its roots in the ancient pre-buddhist tradition BON. Their concerts resemble shamanic mysteria where sounds, singing and rhythms invoke trance-like state introducing the listeners into the realm of dead gods and the times of culture that is already gone. The musicians themselves stress the spiritual nature of their activity. They have carried their message to many cities all over the world. They played gigs in Paris, Bristol and Amsterdam among others, and also took part in prestigious festivals. They are a staple of Moscow concert scene, where they hold live sessions lasting a few hours. One can look for a similar band in vain, a band that approaches the sound matter and its creation in such an accurate way. They use traditional instruments, but also human bones found in Tibetan wastelands. They meditate and practise the way of singing called "rgyud-skad." The magic and strength of their music has been appreciated by Stephen O'Malley among others, who released one of their albums on his own label... Zoharum would like to present the latest album by the band entitled "Mantras of Bon." It is an extraordinary release, even for such an extraordinary and unusual project as PHURPA. More than 70 minutes of music here is divided into two parts. The first one, featuring Alissa Nicolai on vocals, shows the band from a completely different angle; the other one presents the most important and interesting sessions recorded over the past few years, with a recording from CTM festival where they impressed the audience with "kuntunzangpo." "Mantras of Bon" is an excellent introduction into the adventures with PHURPA, the world of Tibetan music filtered by contemporary reinterpretation free from rigid rules. It may enchant both those looking for interesting sacral music and the ones searching for a new form of sonic statement. [press-release] Second edition.

PHURPA -- "Rituals Of Bon I" -- LP -- €20
2016 Zoharum, ZOHAR 126-1, (ltd. 300)
Ritual. Phurpa is an extraordinary artistic and cultural project, not only on a European scale. For years, its members have been exploring the traditions of Bön - the magical practices of ancient Tibet, Iran and even Egypt, and they take it closer to their listeners. Over the last few years they have recorded dozens of sessions, released on various formats. They have already played countless number of concerts in various parts of the globe. Each of their performances assumes the character of a ritual where Phurpa members, thanks to their "rgyud-whence" singing and playing traditional instruments, often made of human bones, bring the audience into a kind of trance, a transgressive journey, inviting to a meeting with the ancients gods and demons of the pre-buddhist era. PHURPA -- "Ya Tog Rid Pa'i Gyer" -- 2 CD -- €15
2017 Zoharum, ZOHAR 145-2, (ltd. 500)
Ritual. This double album is the successor to the previous release entitled “Chöd” from nearly a year ago. The new release shows how Phurpa constantly transforms itself through their own musical exploration as well as personal spiritual development. Apart from intensive concerts, its members are famous for their long meditation trainings/sessions. This constant movement, the exploration of various techniques and discovering new inspirations in eastern culture makes Phurpa musicians more and more eager to use traditional instruments in addition to their distinctive “rgyud-skad” singing, thus enriching the already familiar formula. By emphasizing the sacred and spiritual nature of their activity, they seek to enrich it in such a way that the listener can find the novum, bearing in mind that not only the aesthetic but very spiritual world of the ancient deities of the Bön tradition is particularly important. The title, referring to the magical quest for the universe, should set the direction for the interpretation, or be merely a pretext or an invitation to this mystical journey... The album consists of two discs with over 90 minutes of music. It is released in a 3-panel ecopak in a strictly limited edition of 500 copies. [label info]

RAPOON -- "Darker By Light" -- CD -- €10
1996/2018 Zoharum, ZOHAR 173-2, (ltd. 500)
Ritual / Ambient. Here's another one in the reissue series of rare and sought-after albums by Robin Storey, entitled "Darker by Light". Originally released in 1996, it is a document of the early period of Rapoon's work. It was full of strong rhythmic emphasis hidden behind the wall of ambient dust... This desert period of Rapoon's work falls on the 1990s, from which we have already released three CDs: "Vernal Crossing" (1993), "The Kirghiz Light" (1995) and "The Fires of the Borderlands" (1998). "Darker by Light" is also a part of this exploration which consists of static walls of sound coming as if from the distance and processed rhythms inspired by ethnic music, sometimes complemented by the sounds of flutes and pipes. This great album, unavailable for many years, is worth another spin... The CD is housed in a digipak sleeve and the album is strictly limited to 500 copies. [label info]

RAPOON -- "Fall Of Drums" -- CD -- €10
2014 Zoharum, ZOHAR 078-2, (ltd. 500)
Ritual / Ambient. It has been a year since the release of highly-acclaimed album entitled "To West and Blue". After various archive releases (the second volume in the rarities collection entitled "Seeds in the Tide" plus expanded reissue of a classic album "The Fires of the Borderlands") and new albums on other labels ("Psi-Transient" and "Conduits And Estuaries"), Robin Storey aka Rapoon presents a carefully woven new masterpiece called "Fall of Drums"... The new Rapoon album marks his return not only to the analogue electronics territories, but also to ethnic rhythms which he was known for in the very early days of his solo project. We are back to Middle Eastern territories, to deserts, opium hallucinations and ghosts whisper amidst the sand. 4 long hypnotic tracks of staggering beauty take us on an hour-long journey into your subconsciousness. In other words, it is another top quality album from Robin Storey... The CD is housed in gatefold sleeve in the vein of Japanese-style vinyl replica and is strictly limited to 500 copies. RAPOON -- "The Fires of the Borderlands" -- 2 CD -- €14
1998/2014 Zoharum, ZOHAR 067-2, (ltd. 500)
It's been 16 years since the release of Rapoon's masterpiece entitled "The Fires of the Borderlands". It is arguably his best known work which is still much appreciated by both old fans of his music and new-comers to it. Long out-of-print and much sought after, this classic has now received a well-deserved expanded reissue treatment... Originally, "The Fires of the Borderland" is comprised of 11 tracks full of evocative ambient sonic textures. These sounds generate images of desert lands somewhere in uncharted countries in Africa or Middle East suspended in time. It is a chronicle of those lands which was found buried in the scorching sands. You can almost feel the texture of it in every second of this album which conjures up ghosts of people from those lands with writhing snakes at their feet... This special edition is comprised of two discs. The first is the main album which is mastered from the original tapes, therefore, it sounds significantly better to the 1998 version. The bonus disc is a 40-minute live recording for the San Francisco-based radio KFJC which again proves that Robin Storey has mastered the ability to creating haunting sonic atmospheres... This expanded edition of the album is packaged in a digipak sleeve and is limited to 500 copies worldwide. [press-release]

On this fifth volume you will find collaborative works, remixes for other projects, the full version of 'Human Energy Field' (from the sold-out compilation 'From Earth to Sirius', which was the beginning of Zoharum collaboration with Rapoon), unreleased track from 'Stray' album and other curios. Three twenty-minute compositions seem to be the highlights at first, although there are a lot of interesting bits among shorter tracks as well... The CDs are housed in a digipak sleeve and the album is strictly limited to 500 copies. [label info]

1993/2013 Zoharum, ZOHAR 043-2
This is the 4th Rapoon release on Zoharum. And this one is really a treat. The double album celebrates the 20th anniversary of "Vernal Crossing" release, Robin Storey's third album. But it's not a mere reissue. The artist revisited the original and adapted it for the 21 century, hence the title. "Vernal Crossing Revisited" is two sides of the same coin: the first disc contains the original album (faithfully remastered by our label's favourite Lukasz "Wookie" Miernik) and the other one being the 2013 reinterpretation of the original. This is Rapoon at its most rhythmic stage. Prepare yourself for the journey to the desert. [press-release]

"Dreaming Muzak" is the first full-length material od TROUM duo originally released on tape in 1998 and later re-released on a limited CDR (100 copies only) in 2005. The following prerequisites have been accompanying the duo for many years, hence they have become their credo executed on many excellent records and gigs. It is "Dreaming Muzak" that constitutes an excellent introduction to the adventures with TROUM and their music. The cover design is based on the artwork of Wiktor Jackowski. VIDNA OBMANA -- "The Surreal Sanctuary / The Contemporary Nocturne" -- 2 CD -- €14
2000/2018 Zoharum, ZOHAR 172-2, (ltd. 400)
By releasing "The Trilogy" not so long ago, we have opened a new series in which we are trying to bring closer the VIDNA OBMANA albums, which have long been unavailable in regular distribution and which reach exorbitant prices on auction portals... This time we took two regular albums to work on. "The Surreal Sanctuary", like "The Contemporary Nocturne", recorded with the guest appearance of Steve Roach, Jim Cole and Joris De Backer, originally appeared in 2000 on Hypnos as separate publications. However, their character, the time in which the compositions were created and the participation of the same guests combine them into an extremely poignant and musically rich entity. Therefore, together with the artist, we decided to publish a two-disc album, closing this chapter in the discography of Vidna Obmana... All the material was remastered by Dirk Serries in 2018. Photos for this album were made by Martina Verhoeven. The 2CD album is released in an 8-panel digipak, strictly limited to 400 copies. [label info]
