The Russian prophet of dark sonic surrealism Igor Potsukailo (Bardoseneticcube) once again teams up with the Japanese master of dark ambience Manabu Hiramoto (Shinkiro). "Beyond the Edge of the Universe" is their third collaboration work after "Four Noble Truths" (2011, Athanor) and "Inner and Outer Space" (2015, Zhelezobeton). Like both previous albums, the new release continues to explore the ghostly dichotomy of inner and outer worlds, this time shifting the focus to the border of the known universe and beyond.

Unknown landscapes full of diverse acoustic phenomena are slowly unfolding before the aural gaze of the listener: from dense layers of synthetic sound and industrial samples to the finest emotional melodies, sensual female voices and echoes of a prepared koto. Such a rich sound palette allows the musicians to create incredible images, in the intricacies of which listeners can spend hours each time discovering something new. Beautiful, delicate and complex cosmic dark ambient music.

Artwork was created by the St. Petersburg based designer Cyril Kazanov. The physical edition of the album is presented in two versions: a CD limited to 300 copies in a glossy 4-panel digisleeve and an audio cassette limited to 50 copies. The digital version is available on bandcamp.

"Nihil Est In Intellectu" @ bandcamp

Notum: bandcamp | website | facebook

We are pleased to present the debut full-length album of the Berlin-based project Notum! Despite releasing a debut full-length only now, Notum is not a newcomer to the world of experimental music. The first digital EP "Wooden Grandmother" was released back in 2015 and was followed by a series of self-released EPs, last year there was a joint cassette with Neznamo, and a while back the project’s mastermind Ikk Ygg even played a couple of times in a live line-up of Lunar Abyss Deus Organum.

It's damn hard to describe the music of Notum in just a couple of succinct words, although the author himself uses the terms "experimental / free-form". The unwillingness to follow any particular musical style creates an interesting multiverse in which the listener moves from room to room, sometimes without even noticing how this happens. Here you are crinkling from noise and shrill frequencies (one track is recorded with the drone-noise project Kryptogen Rundfunk), then you are relaxing from a soft piano, totally sinking in an odorous floral drone – and bam! – jumping from an unexpected sample, foolishly giggling, and then starting to tap your foot, sometimes breaking into a real dance.

It all sounds like a psychedelic labyrinth built by a sonic architect with a brisk imagination and a peculiar sense of humor, or a bright morning dream in which scenes are changing in an unpredictable way, completely absorbing the dreamer. The oneiric theme is also emphasized by the incredible artwork created by the Californian artist and musician Matthew Waldron (irr. app. (ext.)). The physical edition of the album is available in two versions: a CD limited to 100 copies in a glossy 4-panel digisleeve and an audio cassette limited to 30 copies. Digital version is available on bandcamp.

You learn to understand laws and meanings. You recognize what is good and what is bad. Gaining experience, you immerse yourself deeper and deeper into life. BLADH, MARTIN & BO I. CAVEFORS -- "The Island of Death" -- CD -- €10
2012 Freak Animal Records, FREAK-CD-065, (ltd. 200)
New album of Martin Bladh is his best and most challenging. Many of the known elements of his works are there. Amazing tones of bow / string instruments, wailing yelling voice known from IRM, usage of samples/spoken word collages like on "Dirge", rhythms, musical patterns and electronic noise. But simply everything goes further. Leaving all expectation behind, what should qualify as "genre album". Less of noise, more of experimental disturbing elements, often avoiding playing it safe. This work is most definitely recommended for anyone who wants to hear albums what stand out of line. Packaged in dvd case with full color cover and full color 24 pages booklet including Bladh's unique collages and Cavefors' texts. [label info]

DA-SEIN -- "Mirror Touch" -- CD -- €16
2019 Galakthorrö, Galakthorrö 047
With their latest album, Da-Sein are well on their way, have made some live appearances in front of diverse audiences, and have been gathering experience. Experience can be seen to have flowed significantly into Da-Sein’s second long-player Mirror Touch. An exceedingly organic work – the opposite of sterile and digital – which lends, with masterfully applied distortion and lo-fi effects, additional complexity and depth to the analogue foundation. Kas Vision’s lyrics also add a sensation of depth, marking highlights, and are enhanced by her darkling vocal intonation. And Darkness is also the slogan – within which type of format frequencies take shape, fractured music arises and rhythm drives: It pushes from within the Darkness, and takes us with it into the Darkness. A potem będziemy razem spada... CD in jewel case with 16 page booklet matt finish. [label info]

Industrial Australia’s potent duo at their absolute best: static analogue tension, feedback squeals and pitched rhythm in studio-to-live-in-yer-face extravaganza. A 300 black/white matte-laminated Digipak edition with a great design by Mauro Berchi (Eibon Records). [Old Europa Cafe]

2015 Old Europa Cafe, OECD 2015, (ltd. 300)
A split album offering the old versus the new Italian Power-Electronics Industrial sound. His album "Disinfektionsraum" dated 1984 was released on the cult label RECLOOSE ORGANISATION which was run by Bourbonese Qualk. While LE COSE BIANCHE is the new and rising Italian Power-Electronics... For this split EVITAXAL and LCB join forces and demonstrates once more (if needed) that Italian Power-Electronics is still alive and fighting. Try this old/new Italian harsh blend. [label info]

FEMEHEIM -- "Egofanal" -- CD -- €10
2017 Death Continues Records, DCRCD010
The third album from Berlin's death industrial/power electronics act Femeheim. It's total early Brighter Death Now / Cold Meat Industry / Slaughter Productions death industrial worship going on here, with cold, noxious tones and ultra bleak frequencies that waft from a pit of misery and hopelessness. At times minimal and singular, other times more pulsating, antagonistic and heavy. 'Egofanal' brings back good memories and fills a niche that hasn't existed for some time. [label info]

HYBRYDS -- "Mistrust Authority & Tectonic Overload" -- 2 CD -- €14
1996/2018 Zoharum, ZOHAR 161-2, (ltd. 500)
Ritual Ambient / Industrial. For the seventh time, we present a piece from the history of the Belgian underground legend Hybryds. This time Sandy Nys reached for slightly different albums than before. The following set consists of the material from 'Mistrust Authority Promote Decentralization' released on vinyl in Iceland (1996) and a full-size CD 'Tectonic Overload' (1998). These two discs show Hybryds in a slightly different light. Strong rhythmic motifs of ethnic origin are still here, but music is much more aggressive, technoid and cybernetic. It was certainly a big surprise twenty years ago, but it can be surprising for those who have reached for the earlier Hybryds reissues released on Zoharum... As with almost every previous Hybryds reissue, some additional material is also given here. This time it is a large fragment of the Munich concert from 1996 lasting more than half an hour. It shows, similarly to both core albums, the beginning of the new cyber punk face of Hybryds... The album has been digitally remastered from the original master tapes by TraumaSutra. Sandy Nys provided the cover based on the previous editions. The CDs are housed in a digipak sleeve and the album is strictly limited to 500 copies. [label info]

Harsh noise project by the US-based artist Jeff Plummer aka CREEPING.

IN SEARCH OF DEATH -- "III" -- CD -- €10
2015 Death Continues Records, DCRCD007, (ltd. 200)
Death Continues is a recent discover for me, but one of those that as soon I received the most recent batch of production got immediately filed under the “labels-to-follow” tag. As the name suggests, this Belgian label focuses on atmospheres strongly inspired by the grim reaper; nothing new somebody could say, but as soon you any of their releases will play, you are going to be reassured that the pale muse can still inspire the right minds to deliver the goods. When I received the preview of the third instalment of mysterious project In Search of Death – simply entitled III – I was more than eager to immediately give a spin to it since I really enjoyed the earlier work and I was definitely impressed. The mortiferous cover is simple but direct and perfectly introduces you to what you are going to experience while listening to the CD. We are dwelling in a form of high-class industrial structure under of veil of obscure atmosphere, but I would not file it under proper death industrial as somebody could expect. In Search of Death moves more toward 90’s Scandinavian industrial sounds, with well-shaped atmospheres based on repetitive patterns, well-thought constructed structures and a clear production that allows any detail to emerge. This release works at both guts and mind level and the constant changes in EQ avoids the “dull” effect that many projects attempting to follow this path tend to have. Despite being a collection of old archive material, this release sounds pretty fresh to me and make me want for more in the near future… [Wertham]

INHALANT -- "Bloodshed" -- 3"CD-R -- €7
2005 Pitchphase, PP-307
Harsh industrial noise from Texas. Recorded by Chad Wicked using synth, voice, feedback, effects & guitar directly to 4-track.

KLINIKAL SKUM -- "Chosen Powerless" -- CD -- €10
2009 Expectorant Recordings, EXP005
Death Industrial. Active for many years now under a variety of monikers including NEUNTÖTER DER PLAGE, XOMBIE, REDROT, POST-MORTEM JUNKIE and FABRICO INCUBO, Ryan Oppermann has established himself as a dependable purveyor of pathological sounds of all sorts. "Chosen Powerless" is his first CD album and it marks the milestone with 5 venomous doses of analogue synthesizer textures that would have been at home on Slaughter Productions (which did release some early Redrot and NDP albums after all). The disease is spreading. [Mechanoise Labs]

THE [LAW-RAH] COLLECTIVE -- "...As It Is..." -- 2 x 3"CD -- €10
2007 Spectre, S29, (ltd. 323)
Dark Ambient / Drone. As happy as some people are to give you the uttermost truth on life's questions, The [Law-Rah] Collective happily tears it right down again. On their sixth release '... As It Is ...' The [Law-Rah] Collective gives its dark poetic view on stuff like, you know, the world, leaving the listener with food for thought and space to fill in the blanks... On two 3" cd's you are guided through soundscapes built from deep ambience, harsh analogs and haunting narration. Just like on the highly acclaimed '1953', released three years ago on Spectre, this album is another true collective effort, combining the sounds from Bauke van der Wal with the words from Hiekelien van den Herik... '... As It Is ...' is about poles and opposites: 'Heaven' versus 'Hell', sound versus vision, life versus afterlife and 'me' versus 'that other me'. Vast themes carefully downsized to fit your skull and keep ringing in your head long after the last track ended... The beautifully designed 7" artwork in which the cd's are packed contains three photo's in 7"x7" format by the Dutch photographer Mareli Huizenga. Just the right size to frame and hang on your wall and give you a headstart on your journey through the darker parts of your mind. [label info]

THE [LAW-RAH] COLLECTIVE -- "Isolation" -- CD -- €10
2003 darkambient.net
"The ritual as a method of coping with fear" is the basic thought behind 'Isolation', which is the first output by The [Law-Rah] Collective since the release of 'Incarnation' in 2001. The emotionally triggered droning soundscapes, which are the Collective's trademark, have the power of confronting the listener with his or her deepest inner fears... The 44 minute track, built from drones, ambient noise and extreme frequency modulations, was created for and performed at the New Forms festival in The Hague, Netherlands on June 7th 2002. The performance was (and still is) a collaboration between The [Law-Rah] Collective (music) and Juxtapose (choreography and dance)... To underline the collaborative effort, a 12 minute video is included on the CD which holds outtakes of the actual performance. The video was shot with four cameras and produced by Videopunx in Amsterdam... 'Isolation' was mastered by The [Law-Rah] Collective at Studio Am Rhein between December 2002 and March 2003. In order to reassure the performance's nature and concept, this CD has not been stripped from extreme frequencies and its live-dynamics; therefore care should be taken when listening to it at high volume... Are you ready to confront yourself? [label info]

MACHINEFABRIEK with ANNE BAKKER -- "Short Scenes" -- CD -- €10
2018 Zoharum, ZOHAR 174-2, (ltd. 300)
Ambient / Experimental / Modern Classical. Machinefabriek, or Rutger Zuydervelt, is one of the most prolific artists in the field of contemporary experimental music. However, unlike many musicians with extensive discographies, the quantity goes hand in hand not only with the quality but also diversity. "Short Scenes" (the sixth album by Rutger on Zoharum) is a mixture of electronic textures and neoclassical violin parts enclosed in twenty miniatures... Rutger Zuydervelt on the album: ”Short Scenes” came to life when working on a soundtrack with violinist Anne Bakker. Taking a series of her improvisations as a starting point, I started to edit and construct them into new songs - no pre-conceived plan, just being lead by these violin recordings. Still working in the ”soundtrack modus operandi”, the resulting tracks are short and concise. None of them ended up being used in a score, but from the very beginning I felt these little vignettes would form a darn fine album. And here it is...” The album is released in a 3-panel ecopak in a strictly limited edition of 300 copies. [label info]

MAEROR TRI -- "Archaic States" -- CD -- €10
1993/2018 Zoharum, ZOHAR 163-2, (ltd. 350)
Drone / Industrial. Musicians of the now-defunct Maeror Tri have already had many opportunities to work with Zoharum on both releasing their new recordings and reissues of their older material. Our catalog contains titles by Troum ("Autopoiesis / Nahtscato", "Seeing-Ear Gods" and "Dreaming Muzak"), 1000Schoen (double split with Polish Ab Intra), and also their original project Maeror Tri ("Emotional Engramm" and "Meditamentum"). Together with musicians we remove blank spots in their discography by restoring their older recordings... Maeror Tri was a project operating since the mid-80s until 1997, when they released their last album entitled "Emotional Engramm." In their works they penetrated such genres as minimalism, ambient and industrial music, and borrowed drone aesthetic from classical music. In addition to seven regular albums on CD and LP, they released a number of cassettes. They contained much rawer recordings compared to those from the trio's regular albums... The third release in this series is "Archaic States" originally released in 1993 by the Japanese label G.R.O.S.S. Tapes. It was the ninth cassette in the discography of Maeror Tri. The following rerelease is expanded with an additional track lifted from the compilation "My Lom II" released in 1998. All the recordings have been remastered for this release. The album is released in a 2-panel ecopak in a strictly limited edition of 350 copies. [press-release]

MURDEROUS VISION / KURU -- "Blood-Brain Barrier" -- CD-R -- €7
2003 Somnambulant Corpse, sc009
Blood-Brain Barrier is the latest release from America's Somnambulant Corpse label who specialise in high quality short run CD-Rs of post-industrial and dark ambient musics. Blood-Brain Barrier brings together two of the harsher names from their stable... The opener from Murderous Vision offers rhythmic industrial but it's soon blown away by the abrasive 'A Body Left At The Corrigated Dock' as it lambastes the listener with high pitched screeches and electronic tremors. Voices are obscured throughout the Murderous Vision tracks and pushed to the back of the mix allowing the dark oppressive atmosphere to prevail. In many ways they're applying old school power electronic techniques to dark ambient soundscapes, although the frenzied approach of '4th Day Stench' and 'Baby - It Ain't No Sin' offer little respite. Those of a particular persuasion may get off on these noise excursions while many will find them simply redundant... Kuru's dark soundscapes are far more palatable. Their twisted vision is eschewed through electronic textures that are less dense, and as a result carries greater impact. And on this abrasive split CD it really is a case of less is more. MX NIHIL -- "Sick Beasts" -- 3"CD-R -- €7
2008 Tosom, XS-007, (ltd. 150)
Power Electronixxx from Germany. The man behind MX NIHIL is very active for a long time now. He stands, with projects like BLANK BANNER, IRON YOUTH, BLACK LIGHT ORCHESTRA, THE 120 DAYS (and others) with tons of different releases (most very limited), for the tradition of Industrial Noise: d.i.y., provocative, aggressive, harsh and loud. MX Nihil is the newest project. [label info]

NEKROFELLATIO -- "Pesadilla En Una Noche Sin Estrellas" -- CD -- €10
2014 Death Continues Records, DCRCD005, (ltd. 200)
Primitive Death Industrial from this Italian project. 'Cold and slow evolving minimalist drones, smattering of dialogue samples, 80’s horror synths and muted grinding static... this is not an outwardly aggressive album, rather it is one which embodies a slow, tense and stalking atmosphere which has been honed to razor sharpness through the mastering undertaken by John Stillings (aka Steel Hook Prosthesis). With ten tracks at just short of hour’s playtime, this is a far more focused and accomplishes album than the debut, and should more than please any fan of Atrax Morgue’s morbid analogue minimalism.' NOISEWERRRRK -- "Martyr" -- 3"CD-R -- €7
2006 self-released, (ltd. 35)
With really fat noise and sawing PE, the NOISEWERRRK project, which has been active for almost a year, presents itself on the Martyr MCD-R. Recommended to the fans of such noise units as CONTROL, CLEASE, SLOGUN, etc. Thematically it's dedicated to the omnipresent religious fanaticism surrounding us. Released as the limited edition of only 35 copies. [Krachom]

ORSI, FABIO -- "Uncharted Waters" -- CD -- €10
2019 Zoharum, ZOHAR 177-2, (ltd. 300)
Ambient / Electronics. With more than 30 albums under his belt, Fabio Orsi has been one of the leading figures of the Italian electronic scene for over 10 years now. In his work he experimented with folktronica, drones, field recordings, minimalism, and sampling. As the title itself indicates, his latest album (and the first one released on Zoharum) is a journey into previously unknown areas. "Uncharted Waters" is a pulsating, multi-layered, multi-coloured 36-minute composition that can surprise current fans of the artist. It proves you can expect the unexpected from Fabio Orsi. At the same time, the melancholy hovering over the melodies and the atmosphere of this album links "Uncharted Waters" with previous releases of this Italian artist... The CD is housed in a ecopak and the album is strictly limited to 300 copies. [label info]

2009 Hellville Records, HVR:018
Harsh Noise.

RADIO NOVA -- "Assfunction" -- 3"CD-R BOX -- €7
2007 self-released, (ltd. 47)
Assfunction contains crude noise made by squealing balloons and a car tire. While there isn't much hard strength to it, the disc makes up for it by staying interesting in some tricky way. It's a collection of squeaks that work as a whole, sounding like a crazy man walking to and from on a snow-covered front yard. Antti Oksanen, better known from the band SQUAMATA, has clearly been able to utilize his mad idea to great effect, creating something that impresses, even if it doesn't strike completely home. And it's stuff that makes you wonder how it'll play out done live... Assfunction comes in a hand-made box, with scissors, rubber bands and instructions to "cut off your asshole". So it's not very stylish, but highly logical in its own twisted way. And that's precisely what I'd say of the music as well. [Kuolleen Musiikin Yhdistys]

RAPOON -- "Darker By Light" -- CD -- €10
1996/2018 Zoharum, ZOHAR 173-2, (ltd. 500)
Ritual / Ambient. Here's another one in the reissue series of rare and sought-after albums by Robin Storey, entitled "Darker by Light". Originally released in 1996, it is a document of the early period of Rapoon's work. It was full of strong rhythmic emphasis hidden behind the wall of ambient dust... This desert period of Rapoon's work falls on the 1990s, from which we have already released three CDs: "Vernal Crossing" (1993), "The Kirghiz Light" (1995) and "The Fires of the Borderlands" (1998). "Darker by Light" is also a part of this exploration which consists of static walls of sound coming as if from the distance and processed rhythms inspired by ethnic music, sometimes complemented by the sounds of flutes and pipes. This great album, unavailable for many years, is worth another spin... The CD is housed in a digipak sleeve and the album is strictly limited to 500 copies. [label info]

RAPOON -- "Seeds in the Tide, Vol. 5" -- 2 CD -- €14
2017 Zoharum, ZOHAR 155-2, (ltd. 500)
Ritual / Ambient. Here's the fifth instalment in the series entitled 'Seeds in the Tide' featuring rare and unreleased Rapoon recordings. The next part focuses on 2008-2011 compositions from Robin Storey's project history. These seventeen diverse pieces are a great introduction to Rapoon's body of work, and at the same time they will please all the hardcore fans searching for every recording of the project. On this fifth volume you will find collaborative works, remixes for other projects, the full version of 'Human Energy Field' (from the sold-out compilation 'From Earth to Sirius', which was the beginning of Zoharum collaboration with Rapoon), unreleased track from 'Stray' album and other curios. Three twenty-minute compositions seem to be the highlights at first, although there are a lot of interesting bits among shorter tracks as well... The CDs are housed in a digipak sleeve and the album is strictly limited to 500 copies. [label info]

ROSENBOOM, DAVID -- "Roundup Two (Selected Music With Electro-Acoustic Landscapes (1968-1984))" -- 2 CD -- €16
2012 Art Into Life, AIL001, (ltd. 300)
For over four decades, composer-performer David Rosenboom has developed unique circuitry and software for making musical models of the wondrous natural world come alive. Traversing the raucous and the sublime, ROUNDUP TWO presents live performances with vacuum tube analog computers, solid-state manifestations of chaos and harmony, musical interventions on political tunes, virtuoso performers interlinked with hybrid processing, and more. ROUNDUP TWO is an essential, historical document containing important examples from a sixteen-year period in this innovative artist’s extraordinary, pioneering work... Several of these pieces appeared in an audio cassette package released in 1987 by Slowscan Editions, ‘s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands, titled Roundup, A Live electro-acoustic retrospective (1968-1984). For Roundup Two, all those pieces have been re-mastered from tapes in audio archives that were in various states of preservation. Several that were originally presented only in excerpts are now presented in complete, unedited versions, and other works not on the original Roundup have been added. 2 CDs and a sixteen-page booklet packaged in a grey heavy card box. VIDNA OBMANA -- "Soundtrack For The Aquarium" -- CD -- €10
2001/2019 Zoharum, ZOHAR 182-2, (ltd. 400)
The next installment of VIDNA OBMANA in the Zoharum catalogue is the third album of the Dirk Serries' project, reissued here in a remastered form. It is a kind of continuation of the informal series bringing back to life long-forgotten albums of this Belgian artist. This is also a continuation of the releases created specifically for the needs of the Antwerp Zoo, the second after Hybryds' "Soundtrack for Antwerp Zoo Aquarium" CD... The album features a total of 7 ambient compositions made between 1992-1993, mastered again by the musician himself in 2019. The artwork is composed of the photographs by Martina Verhoeven. The album is released in a limited edition of 400 copies. [label info]

VIDNA OBMANA -- "The Surreal Sanctuary / The Contemporary Nocturne" -- 2 CD -- €14
2000/2018 Zoharum, ZOHAR 172-2, (ltd. 400)
By releasing "The Trilogy" not so long ago, we have opened a new series in which we are trying to bring closer the VIDNA OBMANA albums, which have long been unavailable in regular distribution and which reach exorbitant prices on auction portals... This time we took two regular albums to work on. "The Surreal Sanctuary", like "The Contemporary Nocturne", recorded with the guest appearance of Steve Roach, Jim Cole and Joris De Backer, originally appeared in 2000 on Hypnos as separate publications. However, their character, the time in which the compositions were created and the participation of the same guests combine them into an extremely poignant and musically rich entity. Therefore, together with the artist, we decided to publish a two-disc album, closing this chapter in the discography of Vidna Obmana... All the material was remastered by Dirk Serries in 2018. Photos for this album were made by Martina Verhoeven. The 2CD album is released in an 8-panel digipak, strictly limited to 400 copies. [label info]

VIDNA OBMANA -- "The Trilogy" -- 3 CD -- €19
1996/2018 Zoharum, ZOHAR 159-2, (ltd. 400)
Dirk Serries, known for his Zoharum collaboration with Celer entitled 'Background Curtain', was operating for many years as Vidna Obmana. The first recordings under this moniker appeared in the mid-1980s. Initially in his work he penetrated very rough industrial sounds, but at the beginning of the following decade he turned to ambient music with subtle ethnic undertones. His first albums, where he successfully explored this style and which also brought him wider notoriety, were 'Passage in Beauty' (1991), 'Shadowing in Sorrow' (1992) and 'Ending Mirage' (1993), composing a trilogy in both sonic and visual sense. A few years later, they were reissued in one package by the American label Relic... This year marks the 25th anniversary of the release of the last album from these three. This is a good opportunity to bring the entire trilogy to light again, as it is considered one of Dirk Serries' outstanding achievements as Vidna Obmana. On top of that, all three albums, both in the form of a triple compilation and as single discs, have long been unavailable and reach quite high prices on auction sites. The discs received a new graphic design, their sound was also remastered by the artist himself. We can enjoy over three hours of these classic ambient sounds again... The triple album is released in an 8-panel digipak and it is strictly limited to 400 pieces. [label info]

DA-SEIN -- "Mirror Touch" -- LP -- €25
2019 Galakthorrö, Galakthorrö 047, (ltd. 550)
NOVEMBER NOVELET -- "Magic" -- LP -- €25
2007/2019 Galakthorrö, Galakthorrö 019, (ltd. 847)
A number of items in the Galakthorrö Catalogue have attracted requests for issues or re-issues to be made available as long-play records. Runaway top of the list is the Magic LP from 2007. Although in those days not specifically released in small quantities, and certainly not the oldest of Galakthorrö offerings, it has become, notwithstanding, an object of desire. Today this LP is rare, hard to find, and changes hands for very large sums of money. In order to give those who were born too late, and any newborn afficionados, the opportunity to possess Magic on Vinyl, we are now able to offer a second issue. It differs from the first pressing with a new design, it leans towards the previous one, but has been extensively re-worked while the sound presentation remains unchanged. Therefore there is now a new chance to hear at last smash-hits such as Street Of Lost Hearts, Magic, or Free, on Vinyl. The best of all ways to hear music... 12" LP, black vinyl, sturdy cardboard cover, printed inner sleeve and insert card. [label info]

BEYOND ENCLOSURE -- "Dungeon of Total Void" -- CD -- €10
2016 Malignant Records, TumorCD98
Prominent S&M inspired electronics is not a new theme, but it has been a long time since such a vital voice has arisen. Enter Beyond Enclosure. With their debut recording Dungeon of Total Void, this Portuguese duo fronted by Samantha Diabolik with the assistance of Andre Coelho (of the now defunct Sektor 304 and operating here as "The Analyst"), have assembled an imposing homage to discomfort, pain, and pleasure. Built around a foundation of subversive and deviant themes, the eight tracks here undulate and throb with malfunctioning electronics, noxious, droning wavelengths, brooding, low slung bass, and malevolent psychoacoustics, with a stream of processed vocal instructions and commands that create a heightened sense of tension and unease. It's a brilliant display and musically should find immediate appeal among fans of Puce Mary, IRM, Sewer Goddess, and Haus Arafna. [label info]

This is the long-delayed and anticipated solo release by the genius frontman of Swedish industrial legends IRM. Cavefors. Standard edition jewel case. [label info]

BURIAL HEX -- "Book Of Delusions" -- CD -- €10
2011/2012 Cold Spring, CSR166CD
During the period in which Clay Ruby first began working on this piece of art, he had become so completely surrounded by evil and deception that he was forced to begin summoning a particularly extreme and ancient force of protection and vitality just to make it alive through the end of 2008. Aside from spiritually fortifying Ruby's life, the complexities of these new elemental entities brought with them circumstances causing a much more rich and intense recording experience than he could have ever composed on his own. Classic horror electronics and post-industrial apocalyptic soundscapes with unsettling notes, anguished cries and voices of the dead. His most ritualistic album yet. Reissue of the extremely limited LP with bonus tracks taken from the split LPs with Kinit Her and Zola Jesus, all available on CD for the first time! All tracks have been carefully remastered. FLUTWACHT -- "Heroinloops" -- CD -- €10
2008 Steinklang Industries, SK 45, (ltd. 350)
"Heroinloops" is a brilliant, pure Industrial album by German's top-Noiser FLUTWACHT. Their new album brings a great mix of rhythmic oldschool Industrial a la early Esplendor Geometrico, or like the famous early 90ies Steinklang Rhythm-Noisers, with a strong touch of "modern" Power-Electronics. The powerful noise-tracks alternate with hypnotic Ambient-Noise tunes, which give the album a comatose and traumatic character. "Heroinloops" is a varied and well structured Noise-album, for all fans of the early Industrial years. [press-release]

KOMMANDO -- "Necroinvasiv" -- CD -- €10
2007 L. White Records, LW-050, (ltd. 300)
They digged very deep in the UMB-archive, and finally brought some really rotten, dirty, sticky "audio-corpses", dated from mid of the 90`s,to the surface. The material had been digitally cleaned and partly restructured for being presented for the very first time on cd. Well arranged power-electronics with distorted screams and aggressiv vocals, leads to the roots of this pre-THOROFON project. [press-release]

Raw minimalistic industrial rumble and roar, trademark reversed sounds, melancholic guitar drone and psychedelic wave of spiraling melodies.

MAEROR TRI -- "Hypnobasia" -- CD -- €10
1992/2016 Zoharum, ZOHAR 112-2, (ltd. 350)
Musicians of the now-defunct Maeror Tri have already had many opportunities to work with Zoharum on both releasing their new recordings and reissues of their older material. Our catalog contains titles by Troum (“Autopoiesis / Nahtscato”, “Seeing-Ear Gods” and “Dreaming Muzak”), 1000Schoen (double split with Polish Ab Intra), and also their original project Maeror Tri (“Emotional Engramm” and “Meditamentum”). Together with musicians we remove blank spots in their discography by restoring their older recordings... Maeror Tri was a project operating since the mid-80s until 1997, when they released their last album entitled “Emotional Engramm.” In their works they penetrated such genres as minimalism, ambient and industrial music, and borrowed drone aesthetic from classical music. In addition to seven regular albums on CD and LP, they released a number of cassettes. They contained much rawer recordings compared to those from the trio’s regular albums. One of these two tape albums is “Hypnobasia” originally released in 1992 by the Italian label Old Europa Cafe. It was the fifth tape in the discography of Maeror Tri. The following rerelease is expanded with 3 additional tracks lifted from various artists compilations from 1989-1992. All the recordings have been remastered for this release. The album is released in a 2-panel ecopak in a strictly limited edition of 350 copies. [press-release]

MAEROR TRI -- "Meditamentum" -- 2 CD -- €14
1994/2013 Zoharum, ZOHAR 046-2 / New Nihilism, NN X, (ltd. 500)
After a successful reissue of a long-lost classic "Emotional Engramm", MAEROR TRI returns to Zoharum and New Nihilism with another album. This time it is a double, deluxe reissue of both volumes of "Meditamentum" (released previously on Holonom and Manifold respectively). Unavailable for many years, "Meditamentum" is a collection of tracks culled from tape releases and rarities hidden on many compilations. It spans the whole existence of Maeror Tri, starting with 2 tracks from 1989 ending with 3 tracks from 1996. It is a sort of "best of" Maeror Tri, as it tells the story of the bands progress. From rough edges of "Peak Experience" to dreamy soundscapes of "The Beauty of Sadness". "Meditamentum" is also a document of the underground tape scene of the 1980s and 1990s, and of a genius of MAEROR TRI as purveyors of mind-altering sonic experience. It's "Music for the Brain" at its best. The release is presented in a lavish gatefold Japanese vinyl replica designed by Marcin Lojek (Ibsendesign, responsible also for the cover for Zoharum's reissue of "Emotional Engramm"). Each volume is extended with a bonus track making the whole collection 155 minutes long and comprising of 23 tracks. The sound is greatly enhanced by our remastering wizard Lukasz Miernik. "Meditamentum" is co-released by Zoharum and New Nihilism to give you the maximum sonic experience. This double CD is strictly limited to 500 copies. [press-release]

MASKA GENETIK -- "Strada" -- CD -- €16
2011 Galakthorrö, Galakthorrö 027
“I’ve reached the limits of my strength” said Amon Radek, and set off in search of a new life. There was to be no place for Maska Genetik, it was too much of a torture to justify those high standards he insisted on. We were astounded and couldn’t believe it, and so we held his album back for some considerable time. Perhaps he wanted urgently to replace one of the songs? An artist of course, has his sensibilities, and a Russian has an additional inbred melancholy. So let us not be too hasty. Over the years we have certainly fulfilled our role as inheritance trustees, and so now we present his first and probably last album. It is all the more regretful, because Maska Genetik represented a pinnacle in the history of Galakthorrö, for us and for many of our listeners. This is obviously the case with Strada. There are songs to be heard that were created before, and after, the sought-after Quarantine EP. Radek’s inner conflicts and his very real suffering have shaped his Angst Pop into its own unique form. We are not presented with self-pity, but with anger and a deep sorrow, at a world fashioned by mankind, in which a future for humanity is hard to imagine... CD in jewel case with 8 page booklet. Painful, dark and personal release that has been delayed to be released far too much, ranging from dark ambient to death industrial, to power electronics. Nightmarish soundscapes, recorded 2008-2010. NILSEN, BJ & STILLUPPSTEYPA -- "Passing Out" -- CD -- €10
2008 Helen Scarsdale Agency, HMS 013, (ltd. 1000)
The Nordic sound artists BJ Nilsen & Stilluppsteypa have authored the last component to a trilogy of isolationist compositions for barren field recordings and lumbering electric drones, thematically linked in the psychotropic effects of alcohol. In doing so, they have issued a brief statement in defense of their research: "It's been four years and three studies, Passing Out being the final. Even in its most general, colloquial usage, Passing Out indicates the occurrence of a state that is incompatible with active behavior. It is possible that the individual could experience both consciousness and unconsciousness at the same time while encountering Passing Out."... Yes, Passing Out is a crepuscular recording, with the flickering of twilight further dimmed by the distant Arctic sun in wintertime and the blackened numbness of too much drink. With one singular track that spans 60 minutes, a nearly constant thrum and rumble of monochromatic low frequencies casts a grim pall upon the precisely dialed-in modulations and vibrations. Spectral guitars, maudlin tunes from haunted radios, angrily growling voices, and field recordings of wind-whipped snow and ice bury themselves deep amidst these subharmonic drones. All of these tease at the edge of perception, sculpting the narrative of the drone into a vehicle for unhinged expressionism of varying degrees of horror, melancholy, beauty, and oblivion. NOCTURNE -- "Fleisch und Metall" -- CD -- €10
2007 Steinklang Industries, SKD 17, (ltd. 500)
"Fleisch und Metall" is a conceptual album, a soundtrack for an actionistic performance, done by the French Industrial / Noise act Nocturne. The performance took place in a old, ruined factory and the 20-page booklet shows impressions from this event, as well as several artistic fotos from industrial areas. "Fleisch und Metall" is a very organic and icecold album, sometimes reminding to early Werkbund, sometimes even to japanoise-like metall-orgies. All in all the album is very complexly structured and many changes in music and style don't let come up any boring moments. Nocturne also uses a lot of samples in French language and even more sirenes, saws, metal-hammerings and more machine sounds, what gives "Fleisch und Metall" the grade of a 100% pure Industrial album. An additional 11 minute video brings you a challenging hommage to industrial work and revolution, accompanied by an amazing Industrial soundtrack. [press release]

ORGANOID -- "Bitsevsky Maniac" -- CD -- €10
2017 Filth And Violence, FILTH&VIOLENCE-163
Organoid "Bitsevsky Maniac" was recorded in 2007-2008 when I was 17-18 years old, and it was my first rather "adult" work. Unlike the first demo records, the material here took the form what was meant to be - atmospheric sinister crime electronics in the spirit of Slogun, Deathpile, Skin Crime, etc. "Bitsevsky Maniac" was lost by me in 2008 and still was never published, but in the summer of 2016 I was lucky enough to find it from my friend from another city! So this material waited for the listener for nearly 10 years. "Bitsevsky Maniac" is a conceptual material about Alexander Pitschuschkin, Russian serial killer, it includes Bloodyminded cover version plus some bonus tracks from first demos and compilations. Mastering by Pentti Dassum (Umpio). [from the author]

PHURPA -- "Rituals Of Bon I" -- LP -- €20
2016 Zoharum, ZOHAR 126-1, (ltd. 300)
Phurpa is an extraordinary artistic and cultural project, not only on a European scale. For years, its members have been exploring the traditions of Bön - the magical practices of ancient Tibet, Iran and even Egypt, and they take it closer to their listeners. Over the last few years they have recorded dozens of sessions, released on various formats. They have already played countless number of concerts in various parts of the globe. Each of their performances assumes the character of a ritual where Phurpa members, thanks to their "rgyud-whence" singing and playing traditional instruments, often made of human bones, bring the audience into a kind of trance, a transgressive journey, inviting to a meeting with the ancients gods and demons of the pre-buddhist era. [label info]

PHURPA -- "Rituals Of Bon II" -- LP -- €20
2017 Zoharum, ZOHAR 146-1, (ltd. 300)
Phurpa is an extraordinary artistic and cultural project, not only on a European scale. For years, its members have been exploring the traditions of Bön – the magical practices of ancient Tibet, Iran and even Egypt, and they take it closer to their listeners... A year ago the first volume of “Rituals of Bön” was released on vinyl. Zoharum now presents the second volume of this series, based on the recordings from the Moscow gigs where Phurpa performed magic shows lasting up until a few hours. The participants would certainly confirm that they are a highly intensive ritual in which both the band and the audience participate... As in the case of the previous LP, the second part of the series presents the sacred aspect of the Russian troupe’s activity. It’s more than 40 minutes of shamanic trance. Just like the first volume, this edition on black vinyl is strictly limited to 300 copies. [label info]

PHURPA -- "Ya Tog Rid Pa'i Gyer" -- 2 CD -- €14
2017 Zoharum, ZOHAR 145-2, (ltd. 500)
This double album is the successor to the previous release entitled “Chöd” from nearly a year ago. The new release shows how Phurpa constantly transforms itself through their own musical exploration as well as personal spiritual development. Apart from intensive concerts, its members are famous for their long meditation trainings/sessions. This constant movement, the exploration of various techniques and discovering new inspirations in eastern culture makes Phurpa musicians more and more eager to use traditional instruments in addition to their distinctive “rgyud-skad” singing, thus enriching the already familiar formula. By emphasizing the sacred and spiritual nature of their activity, they seek to enrich it in such a way that the listener can find the novum, bearing in mind that not only the aesthetic but very spiritual world of the ancient deities of the Bön tradition is particularly important. The title, referring to the magical quest for the universe, should set the direction for the interpretation, or be merely a pretext or an invitation to this mystical journey... The album consists of two discs with over 90 minutes of music. It is released in a 3-panel ecopak in a strictly limited edition of 500 copies. [label info]

SACHER-PELZ -- "In Hoc Urbia Miazi" -- CD -- €10
2007 Old Europa Cafe, OECD 090
After more than 28 years the seminal contamination by Maurizio Bianchi / MB called "Sacher-Pelz" is finally back with dyslexic hollows in the hypertoxic forewarning of scrupulous connoisseurs: "In Hoc Urbia Miazi" is its irrational title, and you should take note of this for your survival! Uncompromising & best quality old-school industrial-noise like in the very early "Come Organisation" times by this Italian CULT project! [press-release]

SEKTOR 304 -- "Subliminal Actions" -- CD -- €10
2011 Malignant Records, TUMORCD53
The follow-up to the highly acclaimed Soul Cleansing CD finds Portugals Sektor 304 expanding on all aspects of their debut, once again channeling the essence of the old school guardians (Test Dept, SPK, Crash Worship), while simultaneously exploring new, uncharted territory. Comparatively speaking, Subliminal Actions is a more complete and focused album, with an even better flow than Soul Cleansing and more attention paid to detail, unleashing a cacophonic whirlwind of buzz saw grind, loops, power tools, and scraping, junk metal debris, clashing head on with exertive tribal percussion, clanging oil barrel rhythms, and industrial clamor resonating over a sprawling, post- apocalyptic wasteland. Some tracks, such as the opener, “A Carving on Metallic Flesh”, heap on the scorching noise, while others, such as the resounding, rhythmic driven “By The Throat”, “A Vessel of Guilt”, or “Vultures” are delivered with factory-line precision, laced with grimy layers of bass-heavy dirge, bleak, reverbed squall, and distortion filled, atmospheric drone. Among the many highlights, is the albums closer, “A Prismatic Sun”, a 10 + minute epic excursion into a nightmarish world, populated by whispered vocals and uneasy drift that slowly rises and grows in intensity, climaxing into a blissfully dark and sweaty orgy of low slung bass, ominous, ceremonial drumming, and suffocating darkness... Subliminal Action not only compliments Soul Cleansing, but takes the Sektor 304 sound to new heights, delivering yet striking record sure to solidify their standing as one of premier, truly industrial acts in operation today... 10 tracks, totaling 63 minutes, in 6 panel digipak, mastered by James Plotkin. THEOLOGIAN & STROM.EC -- "Hubrizine" -- CD -- €10
2014 Malignant Records, TumorCD68
Proper and overdue re-issue of a limited edition 12 cassette on Annihilvs released back in 2012. Hubrizine was two years in the making and features source material by Finland's mighty STROM.ec, undoubtedly heralded as masters of the PE oeuvre, as reinterpreted and re-engineered by Theologian, in celebration of a shared appreciation for the works of Philip K. Dick. From the opening moments, what immediately strikes you is that this probably isn't what you thought it was going to be, given the history of both acts. Sure, there are a good deal of passages of volatility and focused intensity as you might expect, but they are complimented by an equal amount of passages of hallucinatory ambience and cold, serene atmospherics. It's this very dichotomy that makes this such a masterful recording, and listening to it one sitting becomes almost mandatory just to wrap your head around the mind fuckery that unravels over its 7 tracks, as celestial drift and horizon filling textures collide with sudden eruptions of militantly hostile vocals, machine clatter, blistering frequency pulsations and writhing distortion. The title track is clearly the centerpiece here... an epic and sprawling 18 minute track of climatic and shimmering drones that disintegrates into corrosive generator hum and contorted loops with an insane vocal outburst that rivals any STROM.ec output ever created. Hubrizine clearly takes heavy electronics in a direction where few have dared go, and few will ever match. In fold out presentation folder with artwork by Andre Coelho (Sektor 304). [press-release]
