"Now It's Dark: David Lynch Tribute" @ bandcamp

"Now It's Dark: David Lynch Tribute" is an album made by Russian experimental sound artists dedicated to the famous film director and musician David Lynch, and produced by the kultFRONT label with the support of Zhelezobeton Distribution Division.

The idea of a tribute to Lynch first appeared when Sal Solaris recorded the track "With Me" for "The Black Square" compilation (KF-VI, 2006), using samples from the movie "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me". The digital EP "Lynch" featuring compositions by Tsaraas, DMT and Bardoseneticcube (KF-XVII, 2012) followed several years later but only now the time has come for a full-length album.

Eleven projects from the Russian dark underground scene have presented their own visions of the mysterious and meditative atmospheres pervading the works of the American tenebrous genius: Reutoff, Light Collapse, Dvory, Skripp, Wunderblock, Relic Radiation, Kryptogen Rundfunk, Sal Solaris, Arcuation, Povarovo and DMT.

Overall sound mastering was done by Arnold_pR (Reutoff). Artwork of the 6-panel digipak features a fragment of the painting "Special Agent Gorgon Cole" by Chris Mars. The edition is limited to two hundred copies.

CDs & CD-Rs

Alio Die -- "Under An Holy Ritual" -- CD -- €9
1992 Hic Sunt Leones, 002, (ltd. 1000)
Alio Die’s magnum opus - a milestone of ritual ambient music. Ghostly incantations from the void, subtly shifting frequencies and moods. Dream-inducing atmospheres and introspective drones. Stefano Musso has managed to resurrect unsettling sounds from a pre-Middle Ages epoch and merge them into a pastiche of gripping, evocative pastures for the discerning Ambient fan. [SmallVoices]

Aqua Dorsa -- "The November Earth" -- CD -- €9
2013 Gterma, gterma025
The duo Aqua Dorsa, perhaps better known under their respective names, Gianluigi Gasparetti (Oophoi) and Enrico Coniglio, here present a very solemn yet foreboding album with dark undertones. Gigi originally composed the source material which was then expanded upon by Enrico. After letting the material sleep for a while we then rearranged and edited the tracks during the summer and fall of 2013. The November Earth is a stark expression. At times very minimal and dark, yet underneath its foreboding surface beats a vibrant and pulsating elemental heart. Accompanying this landscape is also a short story written by Gianluigi in 2012, titled Sogno di Luce. Thank you Gigi, for all that you've done. [Enrico Coniglio]

Autopsia -- "Palladium" -- CD -- €9
1991 Hyperion Records, HYPER COD I
Music of Autopsia oscillates from romanticism to avantgarde, from bizarre to sublime simplicity, from coldness to warmth, from exclusiveness to popularity. Songs of Autopsia are wanderer songs. Palladium leads us to great gates, gates through which there is no passing-by. Leads to great moments, when views into a depth of dark abysses open, in which, one day, staggering, we have to plunge ourselves. These songs are composed in ideal case, only for one man and only one man, in quietness and loneliness can listen to them. There is something aristocratic in the music of Autopsia. Palladium is a declaration of the end - or perhaps the announcement of the beginning? [Music From The Empty Quarter]

Baron, Marc / Bertrand Denzler / Jean-Luc Guionnet / Stephane Rives -- "Palladium" -- CD -- €9
2007 Potlatch, P107

Bernocchi, Eraldo & Shinkiro -- "In Praise Of Shadows" -- CD -- €10
2016 SSSM, sssm-117
“In Praise Of Shadows” is a 7 years long massive collaboration album by Italy’s legendary producer Eraldo Bernocchi of Sigillum S and Japanese dark ambient mastermind Manabu Hiramoto of Shinkiro. The music weaves dark electronics and industrial dub with heavy atmosphere. The 8 tracks based on a concept of the traditional Japanese aesthetics inspired by Junichiro Tanizaki’s essay, beautifully contrasted light and shadow, stillness and motion with using modern technology and various musical compositions. 4-panel cardboard sleeve. "There is so much material in the vaults, we could easily have made this a 3 or 4-CD package. But we decided to put only the very best on the physical CD, and compile an appendix of extra material free to download with every purchase". Beyond Dawn have released on great labels such as: Adipocere, Candlelight Records, Misanthropy Records, Eibon Record and Peaceville. Ltd x 1000 copies in a 6-panel digisleeve with postcard. Burke, Dan + Thomas Dimuzio -- "Hz" -- CD -- €5
1999 Sonoris, SON-11, (ltd. 1000)
Released in 1999, Hz documents a series of live performances which took place in October 1997. The always adventurous and engaging Dan Burke, aka Illusion of Safety, here teams up with Thomas Dimuzio, an electronic sound artist probably best known for his releases on RRRecords (Sonicism) and Odd Size Records (Louden). Both artists have reputations for creating dark, nightmarish post-industrial sound environments, and this is exactly the sort of thing we're given here in ample doses. One hour's worth of some of the most dark and disturbing sounds to issue forth from my hi-fi in recent months, Burke and Dimuzio have assembled a collection of imposing sound environments. Burke performs on electric guitar, processors, tape, radio and objects, while Dimuzio handles sampler, processors, loops and feedback. These free-flowing pieces range in sound from low-end rumbles and deep industrial noises (the loud hum of large machines) to walls of feedback and noise loops. Brief glimpses of hard industrial beats flash before your ears on two short occasions, but are soon quashed by the enveloping drones of noise. Once you reach track 10, with its imposing and unrelenting wall of dense static, you can pretty much say there's no turning back. The disc ends abruptly and in mid-stream; you're left hanging over the edge of a vast precipice, abandoned to the once-familiar silence of your home you thought you knew so well. The truth is, you found something incomprehensibly comforting in these sounds, this noise, this audible darkness. It occupies the space and fills your lungs, so in such a short time you grew accustomed to this nightmare, probably just in time for Burke and Dimuzio to sever the umbilical cord so suddenly, leaving you helpless and in silence. Candor Chasma -- "The Key" -- CD -- €9
2014 Old Europa Cafe, OECD 194
Two years after "Rings", Corrado Altieri and Simon Balestrazzi are back on Old Europa Cafe with a new release that draws its inspiration from the life and work of Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, the 19th centuty Russian occultist, whose research and publications are still today a reference for many modern esoteric disciplines. "The Key" is a psychic voyage in eight parts, each one referencing dates, places or events which have been pivotal in Mme Blavatsky life and spiritual journey. Candor Chasma once more update the esthetics of post-industrial electronic sound with an obscure suite of psychedelic frequencies streams, hypnotic mantras and abrasive analog bursts of noise. As in the previous works no laptop was used in the realization of the album. [press-release]

Capparos, Olivier & Lionel Marchetti -- "Equus" -- CD -- €7
2009 Pogus Productions, Pogus21052-2
Equus is a collaborative work of musique concrиte recorded in 2001-02 on a commission from the INA GRM It is truly a delight for Pogus to add this title to our catalog. As Capparos notes: "Equus guides us through human memory and history. It may sound a bit strange that sound & music would appear as a "vehicle", or as we had cast a lead into a labyrinth. This brings us to the question of whether we are alive or not; travelling the path throughout these soundings would drive us down and up our consciousness and our listening, not to mention that we are dead or alive." Chiesa, David / Jean-Luc Guionnet / Emmanuel Petit / Eric La Casa -- "Belvedere Dans L'etendue" -- CD -- €9
2005 Creative Sources, CS 058 cd
"We all are in a house: "Villa Adriana", (René Quinon's house - little village - low mountain - high valley - Ardéche). A bunch of all kind of microphones are deviced in the house and amojng the landscape around the place. Each of them is plugged into a mixing desk that Eric La Casa is using during the recordings. The duration of the mix is more or less pre-decided by the 4 of us. During this amount of time, the 3 instrumentalists (alto sax, double bass, guitar) are going around, in and out of the house, following their own improvised sounds and courses throught this open expanse filled by sound-catchers - thus we all are working on the construction of a sort of abstract and tentacle-like belvedere plunged into the acoustic space of the place. This CD is the direct result of one of those mix-experiences." [label info]

Chop Shop -- "Oxide" -- CD -- €6
2008 23five, 23five 012, (ltd. 500)
Chop Shop is the moniker of New York based sound artist Scott Konzelmann, whose activities have comprised installations featuring his speaker construction assemblages and sonic compositions since 1987. There have been plenty of micro-edition CD-R releases, 2 noted 3”CDs for the prestigious V2 label, several old school cassettes, a handful of singles, and two legendary 10" vinyl productions. One of which was a double 10" bound in roofing tar strapped to a plate of steel. The other was a split 10" with Small Cruel Party, which was literally chopped in half and assembled on the listener’s turntable at their needle’s peril. 23five Incorporated is delighted to present Oxide, the long overdue full-length CD from Chop Shop... Konzelmann's sound and noise are intrinsically connected to his sculptural objects. Forged from repurposed junkyard fragments fitted with functional loudspeakers, these objects compress and articulate particular frequencies into hissing static, jet-engine drones, and noxious rumbles, all of which retain a metallurgist residue. Such were the sounds on the original analogue tapes of Oxide; unfortunately, those tapes had endured what Konzelmann merely qualifies as "an unhappy accident," which caused extensive and prolonged moisture damage to the tapes. In revisiting these tapes, Konzelmann discovered drop-outs and print-throughs, as ghostly noises shadowed his muscular drone music. The tape itself had also begun to crumble during playback, making an eerily similar parallel to William Basinski's Disintegration Loops. However, Chop Shop does not share Basinski's melancholy theatrics, and Oxide dials in a proper dose of distilled contemporary sonic dead-tech mantra through a leaden stream paralleling the Hafler Trio's Intoutof. [press-release]

Cloama -- "Neuroscan Organization / Blood Illumination" -- CD -- €7
2002/2015 Industrial Recollections
Dark and gloomy industrial-soundscapes from Finland. Re-issue of LP from 2002 and tape from 2007 on one CD. [label info]

Cordier, Eric & Jean-Luc Guionnet -- "Tore" -- CD -- €7
1998 Shambala Records, Shamb99004
One of the most melodic and somehow even sentimental collaboration works of two French musicians. Eric Cordier plays hurdy-gurdy (wheel lyre, eastern european string instrument), Jean-Luc Guionnet plays church organ, flute and saxophone. Four long improvisations recorded in 1995 in some cathedral in southern France. [Monochrome Vision]

Daina Dieva -- "Kas" -- CD -- €10
2016 Vibora, VIB001
KAS is the third album from Daina Dieva, a dark ambient - drone project from Vilnius, Lithuania. Notably darker (and at times noisier) than the recent collaboration with Skeldos ("Aviliai" / 2015), KAS is a creepy trilogy of deep nightmare explorations. Hammering at the gates of nothingness and drowning in a bottomless pool of ink... Daina Dieva's sound is a layered, multi-faceted mixture of voice, effected guitar patters, noises, drones and various instruments, like bamboo flute, bells, various chimes, metallophone etc. The project is active since 2008. During this time, DD has played live concerts in various events - from small scale appearances in underground bars, to bigger scale open air festivals. Working with soundscapes and slowly-evolving compositions, her songs are chants of murky waters, windy nights and lucid dreams, autobiographical and sincere. DD's soundscapes for art installations, sculptures, performances & video are specially prepared in close collab with the requesting artists... For friends of: Zoviet France, Aural Hypnox, Drone Records, Isolationism. [press-release]

Enkidu -- "Hasselt" -- CD -- €4
2003 Turtles' Dream, TDCD-03
What a strange and fascinating recording this is. Enkidu is the name for the trio of Chie Mukai (erhu, drums, and percussion, in addition to singing and dancing), Seichi Yamamoto (guitar, flute, vocals, and electronics), and Eric Cordier (hurdy-gurdy and electronics). Together they have a bizarre and baffling pedigree. Muhai has long been associated with the dark Japanese neo-psychedelic scene; she’s worked with Masayoshi Urabe, Jutok Kaneko, and the Hallelujahs, and her dour emotionalism might reasonably be likened to that of kindred spirit Keiji Haino. Yamamoto is, of course, one of the key mischief makers in The Boredoms. And Eric Cordier, who has worked in sound manipulation among other areas, is actually said to have introduced both Jim O’Rourke and Haino to the hurdy-gurdy, the insanely textural medieval drone instrument... The music itself is a freely improvised, hour-long drone that is heavy with portent and somber ritualistic overtones. The sound ebbs and flows, coalesces and disperses; and while it’s generally rather restrained, it is laced with an ominous feeling that something could erupt at any moment. Sometimes the drones are thick and robust, pregnant with the sound within sound, and other times the instruments are stretched out thin and fragile, wafting on the gentlest of brush strokes or prepared strings. It is rich with detail and layering, whether bathed in echoes or up-close and grainy... [Jason Bivins, Dusted]

False Flag -- "Metal Birds" -- 3"CD-R -- €3
2011 FTAM, FTAM-027
Harsh noise in a very weird state. The sounds of protests and riots filtered through distortion pedals and AM radios that are just out of reach. This is a release that could easily fall into the realm of Harsh Wall, but every track moves just enough that it skirts the genre while keeping all the good parts. The whole thing feels as if its on the brink of falling apart. A record that sounds just a tad too pissed of to be polished, which is the way I like it. [Peter J Woods]

Favriou, Fabrice -- "Phases" -- CD -- €7
2012 Creative Sources, CS 205 cd
Even if in the very first seconds of this album, you could think about someone in the act of fixing a broken intercom, this eccentric multi-instrumentist was meddling with an harmonium when he recorded this release at home-garage-studio... Due to its quite high cost of maintenance, the resulting disappearance from churches (where it was mostly used) and the coming of more cheap electronic or electric instruments, this fascinating instrument close to accordion, but completely different from the technical viewpoint, maybe lost its notoriety, even if many musicians know its particular acoustics, its piercing timbre. Moreover harmonium's feature of keeping distinguishable different tones, even when they are played together, was particularly appreciated by tuning testers... On "Phases", Fabrice Favriou manages to extract six very interesting pieces, mainly based on modulations and microtonal variations through changes of pumping pressure, and you could be astonished by the impressive timbral possibilities as well as by similarities with other instruments which can be emulated by harmonium, so that while listening some of his six phases, you could even think that Fabrice is playing a distorted guitar or a brass. From the stylistical viewpoint, "Phases" sounds consistent with previous collaborations or releases by Monsieur Favriou, who seems to compel listeners to a sort of sound-induced trance through proper drones, untiring perforations or long-lasting dilutions of single note. [Vito Camarretta, Chain D.L.K.]

First Human Ferro -- "Heterodox" -- CD -- €10
2016 Old Captain, OCCD17 / Gradual Hate Records, GH 126 VN, (ltd. 200)
Old Captain’s owner, Olegh Kolyada (Oda Relicta, In Meditarium), fights the sea and presents his Lost Generation victory in defeat. “Heterodox” is a dark ambient album born of the sound and the fury with heroes lonely and mad. A sparse, straightforward yet emotionally vigorous record with its own interior monologue, a discourse to be a silent interlocutor to. Restraining the interior the musician offers the nature symbolism via modular synthesizers and analogue junk approach to scatter one’s ego worldwide for good. Full of elemental primitiveness the heretic in his destructive folly challenges to claim a nihilistic vision of reality to engage the listener into an ever-present absurd. A 200-CD edition in a classical glossy Digipak. A co-prod of Old Captain and Gradual Hate Records. [label info]

Guionnet, Jean-Luc / Seijiro Murayama -- "Le Bruit Du Toit" -- CD -- €4
2007 Xing-Wu Records, XW5004CD
LE BRUIT DU TOIT is a rare meeting, and a recording which took place at a Buddhist temple in Mishima, between two stalwarts of music — Seijiro Murayama, founding figure of numerous seminal avant-rock outfits during the 80s/90s like Fushitsusha (Murayama was its original drummer) and ANP (Absolut Null Punkt); and Jean-Luc Guionnet, already a veteran and a revered artist in the musical constellation of sound art/composition and improvised music. A rare meeting, not because this was their first and only time playing together, but rare in the sense that this meeting was a culmination of a series of unprecedented events (mostly seemingly banal and mundane) and musical possibilities that occurred before and during that meeting. This document could be viewed as a portrayal of the very first time they had expressed themselves in a manner previously never explored and rendered conceivable between the two. Sounds, approaches and possibilities never before coaxed from their instruments, not to mention constitutive of their overall artistry, have now and hitherto found life during this meeting and after. LE BRUIT DU TOIT could not only begin here but invites its own possibilities. [Yeoh Yin Pin]

The Haters -- "Further" -- CD -- €8
2008 Transparency, 0322
THE HATERS were formed in 1979 and are known as America's premier noise act. They won Best Electronic Experimental Artist in the 2005 LA Weekly music awards. These are brand new studio recordings, two "extra noisy" tracks totaling over an hour. "A lot of what people think is Noise is not. The only true Noise bands I can think of are TNB and The Haters and stuff like that because it has no human element to it whatsoever." — John Olsen of Wolf Eyes.

The Haters -- "The Totimorphous" -- CD -- €6
1992 V2_Archief, V217
CD featuring a series of 16 noise collages. Each individual piece made from the sounds of things falling apart; some being partly or completely silent. Some of the gaps between the pieces are silent, while others are of noise. So while some pieces of silence are interrupted by gaps of noise and some pieces of noise are interrupted by gaps of silence, other pieces of noise are followed by gaps of more noise and other pieces of silence are followed by gaps of more silence. The theme being the role that uncertainty plays in knowledge. Packaged in a jewel-case with 12-page booklet and additional transparent cover insert.

B.Moloch and W.Herich, both active in Genocide Organ and Anenzephalia, joined new forces and started working on a more personal concept. Harsh noise artist Kohei (Guilty Connector) meets Kelly Churko (Canadian jazz and noise musician who is living at Tokyo, member of Hospital) for a singular album, very far from the harsh noise of Guilty Connector. Lieutenant Caramel -- "Et Sonner Les Coucous" -- CD -- €5
1992 Sounds For Consciousness Rape, SFCR CD002
Extraordinary French electronic composer resides somewhere between the wackier end of early Nurse With Wound and surrealist electroacoustic composer Michel Chion during his more whimsical moments (his "On N'Arrete Pas Le Regret" CD being a good example). Really beautifully accomplished weirdness.

Lopez, Francisco -- "Azoic Zone" -- CD -- €6
1993/2003 Geometrik, GR-003
Second edition with different cover of the first (Geometrik 1993). Francisco López CD, Azoic Zone, published also by Geometrik in 1993 and out of stock for many years. A work with the collaboration of many musicians from the 90's electronic network like David Myers, Illusion of Safety, Scot Konzelmann, John Hudak, Michael Gendreau, John Wiggings, Richard Franecki, Minoy Steve Peters, and Zan Hoffman. Azoic Zone is a sonic experience inspired by the organisms of abyssal zones. A journey to an unknown world where the physical phenomena and the developoment of life processes follow aberrant guidelines of a crushing beauty. The profundity, the cold, the isolation of these underwater depths are reflected in a starling way in Azoic Zone, a work on life and death beyond the know world. Azoic Zone is for most of the first Lopez followers one of his best works, where elements of his personal style can be found, even if in Azoic Zone we can also find certain traces of the post industrial music. Those who have known this artist from Madrid in the last years have now the opportunity of obtaining this basic work in his discography. [Rotor Discos]

Lunde, Eric -- "Ootheka" -- CD-R -- €5
2010 TraitMediaWorks
For Ootheka Lundes writes that he's not sure how to call it, which is a bit, seeing the quite nice presentation of it. He calls it a cross between power electronics, noise, and tape processing, so I was prepared for some ear damage. This is not the case. There are no less than forty-three tracks on this release, among which are various of six seconds only. Track seventeen to thirty-one has one title. I guess the music is best described as an update to his own previous sound approach. There is a analogue electronics, computer treatments, cheap tape techniques (memorecorder) and the voice of Lunde which is always easy to recognize. The analogue electronics, no doubt just one synthesizer, plays at times nasty, piercing stuff, but also pulse like material (like a very reduced Pan Sonic). At an hour its perhaps a bit long, but that might also be because the tracks are pretty short and sketch like. Maybe its a good to work some ideas out into somewhat longer pieces and make the whole thing forty or so minutes. There is indeed some great power in this release, but its not, thank god for that, the power electronics that is full hour of distortion. [Vital Weekly]

Marchetti, Lionel & Seijiro Murayama -- "Hatali Atsalei (L'echange Des Yeux)" -- CD -- €6
2008 Intransitive Recordings, INT031
For his second Intransitive album, Lionel Marchetti returns to his favorite subject: the modern musique concrete composer as shaman. Amid an atmosphere of heavy mystery and sublime confusion, "Hatali Atsalei (L’Echange des Yeux)" seems to be informed by radio drama, improvisation, and documentary recording. According to Olivier Capparos’ liner notes, the album provides a “rather faithful“ experience of Ancient Greek ritual: Hatali Atseli, the exchange of eyes. Is it real? Does it matter? Marchetti the sonic alchemist takes the listener to the scene of an imaginary sacred rite, drawing us in with hints of narrative, only to throw expectations aside with the slice of razor on tape. Fire, water, and wind instruments are blended with the voice and percussion of collaborator Seijiro Murayama to create something which is not quite a representation of ritual, but is a ritual itself which becomes completed by the act of listening. Moslang, Norbert / Ilia Belorukov / Kurt Liedwart -- "Sale_Interiora" -- CD -- €10
2016 Mikroton Recordings, mikroton cd 47
Norbert Möslang had been playing in Voice Crack duo with Andy Guhl in 1972-2002, they’ve been working with “cracked everyday-electronics”, modifying and recontextualising the use of home electronics. After the split he continued working solo and in different musical combinations using “cracked everyday-electronics”, among them a duo with eRikm with whom he played in duo from time to time since 2002. He released numerous solo albums as well as collaborations with Günter Müller, Jason Kahn, Ralf Wehowsky, Tomas Korber, Aube, Christian Weber, Katsura Yamauchi. He is part of Signal Quintet and mkm. "sale_interiora" is his third album on Mikroton after "Stodgy" with eRikm and "Five Lines" with Casey Anderson, Jason Kahn, Günter Müller and Mark Trayle... Ilia Belorukov hails from St. Petersburg and works mainly with prepared saxophone in the field of improvised, noise and electroacoustic music. He’s a member of different projects like Wozzeck, Mars-96 and others. He practices an experimental approach of sound extraction on alto saxophone and uses laptop, electric guitar, drums and other instruments. He also runs our partner Intonema label and organizes with us Teni Zvuka festival in St. Petersburg and Moscow... In 2009 he joined his forces with Kurt Liedwart, a Moscow-based musician and curator of Mikroton Recordings and organizer of Teni Zvuka festival. When the duo started Liedwart was using only sinewaves and field recordings adding more sounds and noises with time. Liedwart works mainly with computer, electronics, synthesizer and objects, sometimes deleting the line separating concerts from performances or installations, at the same time he’s active in the fields of electroacoustic improvisation and sound art... In 2014 they invited Norbert Möslang to take part at Teni Zvuka Festival, played two concerts in trio and made 4 hours of recording overall which formed thirty four minutes of "sale_interiora". The three musicians generate pulsing waves of rushing sound, piercing whisltes, bombastic microsound glossolalia, conjuring wide panoramas of sound colours and light streams. The unstable cover drawing was created by Kurt Liedwart. [press-release]

"Entropolis", composed by Nick Parkin and released by Soleilmoon Recordings, explores themes of entropy in the city. It evokes a ravaged apocalyptic architecture of decaying machinary and metallic residues. "Entropolis" is an imaginary city subjected to the uncontrollable forces of nature in which energy existing in the internal motion of molecules undergoes chemical and alchemical processes of transformation, corrosion and implosion. "Entrolopolis" is being issued simultaneously with "Geomorphic Resonance" (Soleilmoon Recordings SOL 113 CD). [Hypnos]

Nick Parkin’s latest release on Soleilmoon Recordings, draws its inspiration from the movement of light and water. To create this album Parkin electroacoustically manipulated and blended a variety of gongs and other metallic percussion with environmental field recordings. It’s eight tracks of intense, multi-layered work evoking hidden subterranean waters and gloomy oceanic depths, where shards of light only occasionally penetrate. Sonic images conjuring reverberant aquatic chambers, storm swept surfaces and horizons abound, while winds and other elemental phenomena bring about transmutations, distillations, evaporations and cycles of tides. Pylar -- "Poderoso Se Alza En My" -- CD -- €10
2013 Knockturne Records, KTR007, (ltd. 300)
Ritual / Doom Metal. The debut album of this Spanish collective, already famous for their masked and robed performances, which are much more like ceremonies and ancient invocations. Their lyrics and mise-en-scene are heavily based on alchemy, ancient religions and occultism. Pylar is formed by several hierophants, shamans, and druids (including members of Orthodox and Blooming Latigo). This album features 7 extended themes, creating not only music but a gateway for you to enter other realities, where spoken word is power and the repetition of sacred texts will call upon you to listen to the oldest music of the universe, the glorious music of the Spheres. Their guitars are like circular demolition echoes and there are hums of wind and background voices, shamanic drums invoking the sound of the abyss of time performing music that it’s older than memory itself. "Superb and essential" (Julian Cope). [Cold Spring]

R.H.Y. Yau -- "The Hidden Tongue" -- CD -- €4
2000 Ground Fault Recordings, GF009
Randy Yau is Vice President of 23five Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to the development of sound works in the public arena, and to the support of artists working with the medium of sound. He also founded Activating the Medium, an annual music festival, and Auscultare Research, a record label releasing sound works from artists all over the world. Not forget to mention that he designed graphic layout for all Ground Fault CDs too. His second CD (after remarkable debut on RRR Pure series) seems to be the soundtrack to performance-art like event which is dedicated to his common conception of the sound emerging from its physicality. He provoke listener to see the conflict between existence and nothingness, turn the time singularity into the incident, or better to say, series of incidents, which give names to tracks. Really collapsed and nervous music, broken concrete sounds mixed with noise outbursts and raped silence. Even when you are aware of its human nature, you'll only able to track down the maximum inner hostility as common sense of various fragments. For me it's difficult to imagine the reaction of the listener who never heard before stuff like this - it is impossible to understand it, or to keep it synchronized with your own senses, it's totally different from all your previous experience. So you should forget everything, mobilize your soulcraft and make first step into... [Monochrome Vision]

RLW & Das Synthetische Mischgewebe -- "Die Eisenbuglerin" -- 2 CD -- €8
2012 Auf Abwegen, aatp36, (ltd. 300)
The idea for this project was in the air since the late 1980s. RLW CD: the basic recordings were created by RLW from early-mid 2009, sound sources are instrumental (piano, trombone) and household objects. First detailed sketches of the compositions include heavily treated versions of these recordings, cross-modulations with sounds supplied by DSM and with DSM-variations of the RWL sounds sent to Caen. DSM CD: with very few exceptions he used only the original sound recordings of RLW, using treatments only what would be conceived to be already into the realm of the compositional strategies. Ryr -- "Shadow Of All Shadows" -- CD -- €10
2016 Ufa Muzak, UFA71, (ltd. 160)
Apocalyptic industrial. New chapter of the dark apocalyptic saga. Second part of the trilogy started with the album "Until the End of Time". Obscure transcendental atmosphere evolves in the new direction. Beton labyrinth provokes the visions of the supreme archetype, the war continues on the new level, echo rages in agony searching for the way out. Noise loops bring the altered state of cosciousness, trying to make out the difference between dream and reality, to find the secret door of all doors, to solve the Demiurge's second riddle. If "The end of time" was the beginning of the alchemy process, death of the world, a prophecy and a hope, then the "Shadow" is the red stage, the catatonic search in smoke and blood. Nostalgic madness, infinitely winding deja vu. We offer you to solve this puzzle, probably you've already heard all this long time ago... in another life... The album features contributions from ULTRAPOLYARNOE VTORZHENIYE and T-WALD. 9 tracks, 55 minutes. Standard edition: glossy 4-panel digipak. [label info]

A Small Good Thing's slow and steady history is now bookended by these maps and explorations of the Wild West, shaped by the gauzy iconography of half-remembered Saturday afternoon TV movies and reinforced by the lonely literary landscapes of Raymond Carver, Richard Brautigan, Cormac McCarthy and Flannery O'Connor. A world of wandering lost souls, damaged cowboys, bad preachers - thems what don't fit in. Disengaged by sheer distance from the heat of the desert, ASGT's music glides into the cool slipstream of ambient space, returning frontier America to its source in ghostly form... Slim Westerns began as a musical score to the mythical adventures of an outlaw character by the name of Gerry Melody. The 12-page fake pulp western novel accompanying the CD continues this thematic thread of Gerry's unraveling tale. [label info]

T.A.C. -- "Chaosphere" -- CD -- €7
2013 Old Europa Cafe, OECD 170, (ltd. 1000)
Finally available for the very first time, exactly 15 years from its completion, here it is T.A.C.'s lost album "Chaosphere". Recorded between November 1997 and February 1998 in New York City, "Chaosphere" was planned to be the sequel of "Apotropaismo" (also out on OEC) disclosing, in typical T.A.C. style, the "other side" of that album. Gone were the lush and variated instrument array leaving room to a grey and menacing cloud of analogue electronics and sparse ambient samples. For this realization T.A.C. consisted of band mastermind Simon Balestrazzi alone, working mostly on his freshly rescued VCS3 synthesizer and a few other devices and under the heavy influence of Andrej Tarkovskij's masterpieces Solaris and Stalker. Due to Balestrazzi sudden relocation back to Italy the master tapes lay in a box for several years and after that even some format issues prevented them to be retrieved. Till now. So finally here is Chaosphere and you can hear once again T.A.C. visionary and evocative signature sound again. Pure analogue industrial-ambient of the old era. [label info]

Teeth Collection -- "Ojo" -- 3"CD-R -- €4
2008 Cut Hands, CH043

Telepherique -- "V=S/T" -- CD -- €5
1998 Ant-Zen, ACT 71
"V=S/T" is the 3rd CD by Telepherique; a concept album about the formula of speed. They offer the most complex soundscapes by combining elements of chilling ambient, industrial, noise, and drum&bass. Like the formula V=S/T life itself is also closely connected to different influences. CD and special tracing-paper booklet packed in jewel-case... V contains the track 'Bewegung,' from the performance in Mainz, Germany 1992, which became a legend in rhythmic post-industrial. There are three main parts, which shall be marked by V: gaining the consciousness that life is moving faster and faster without notice, because we're existing within the complex. The movement itself is expressed by the dance of active visitors during a performance. The support of a communicative movement gaining the understanding of proportions... S: because of the fast development and stimulus satiation, phobias, fear, and panic-attacks are arising. One possible way to overcome this, is the stimulus-therapy, or a deliberate way daily life in which you make certain conscious decisions about what things are important... T: observing nature, you notice the rhythm of life, which states silence and order - quite the opposite to the activity of man. Our lifetime also depends on how we live our lives, and how fast we're willing to change anything. [label info]

Tietchens, Asmus -- "Parergon" -- CD -- €10
2016 Stille Andacht, SA04
"Parergon" (Greek 'collection of small texts') is the sequel of the idea to continue to recycle recyclings of recyclings. That does not mean remixes or deconstructions but much more genuine compositions derived from already repeatedly recycled structures. In the future the new compositions, too, will be transformed by recycling into totally new music. This approach is in no case hermetic because no circular course happens: There is no way back to the beginning. With digital tools - but without chance operations - one can achieve treatments and processings which lead to a nearly endless multitude of aesthetic relevant compositions derived from once defined basic structures. In this connection 'sampling' is not of importance. The pieces of "Parergon" do not intend to provoke pictures or moods, but will give the listener simply something to listen to - it is up to him how he handles this offer. In consequence the pieces have no titles. Instead they have index data which point to certain series. "Parergon" has been composed in dark times, but at the best only the artwork reflects this conditions. The sounds themselves come from the vacuum. 6-panel digisleeve. [label info]

Tzesne -- "Cliffs Under The Mist" -- CD-R -- €12
2007 Mystery Sea, MS41
Tzesne is a veteran of the varied Basque experimental music "scene". Txesus Garate began to sign with this Tzesne pseudonym at the end of the 90s after stopping with his earlier rockier & dark electronics projects. At that moment, he became obsessed with the array of possibilities offered by the combinations of sound textures and field recordings... Along his experiences, emerged a consideration of the sound as a poetic form, coupled with the importance of its graphical representation... Till now, he has already managed to gather together an impressive collection of dark, reflective, mesmeric soundscapes, collaborations and other contributions on various interesting labels such as DRONE, TIBPROD, ANTIFROST and most of all on his own imprint SERIESNEGRAS... Latest developments show him teaming up with partner PARALUX to experience the further blend of sounds and visuals... For his MS excursion, Tzesne permeated himself with the surroundings of an old marine bottom located in the region of Salas de los Infantes (Burgos), next to the Basque country... A panorama of eroded cliffs standing there in a belt in a rather wild nature, a sort of paleontological museum in the open air, gave the impulse to the project... [label info]

2008 Crippled Intellect Productions, C.I.P. CD 22
Jason manipulates multiple spools of cassette tape (and their shells, reels, guide rollers, and pressure pads) with fire, water, hand held demagnetizers, and manual tweaking -- and that's just the starting point. Each cassette component may be disassembled, reassembled (with parts added or expelled), stretched, shrunk, or otherwise permutated into a condition it was likely never intended to be put into. 2006 Sonore, SON 24/25 / Xerxes, ESCD:0007/0008 / Nu NuLAX NuLAN, NUCD0777/0888, (ltd. 500)
Let’s celebrate our advanced age by wallowing in 80s pop culture. A splashing tribute to feathered hair, pink sweaters and leather jeans. A double CD compilation dedicated to American Billboard Hits. Carelessly scratching the gloss of these candy-floss memories with a disrespectful electro-punk attitude inherited from the very same decade, Nu Nulax Nulan, Xerxes and Sonore labels have joined forces to fulfill a colossal task: collecting 40 freaky covers hacked by a tribe of twisted international artists including: Satanicpornocultshop, Dag Shen Ma, Gangpol Und Mit, Conceal, Carl Stone, S Isabella, Liftman, Juicy Panic, Xper. 2015 Gradual Hate Records, GH 124 CD + DVD / Twilight Records, TW 1.129, (ltd. 200)
The short film "Estigmas" is by Jose Moral & J. Luis Martinez. "During World War II, German scientists and occultists, in their quest for perfection, developed a substance capable of creating a mystical metamorphosis in men and enhance their human condition. A key to get in tune with the gods and achieve a higher level of existence. With the fall of Germany after an atomic bomb that razed the entire country and its empire, the substance called Futhark 5 fell in the hands of a secret society. This sect used the substance and its effects as an instrument of extinction. After one of these experiments, one of his guinea pigs escaped, developing the original effects of the substance, passing to another dimensional plane and posing a threat to the organized chaos". V/A -- "A Musical Tribute To Edward Packard, Master Of Adventures" -- CD-R -- €8
2013 Gradual Hate Records, Logia 933
Edward Packard is the creator of the concept that gave birth to the book series "Choose Your Own Adventure". Author of over 50 books in the series that captivated the imagination of the world from 1978 to 1998. In these books the classic writing in the third person was replaced by the second person, "you". This novel premise broke the conventional role of the reader (passive and linear) and threw it to new horizons. A mysterious cave that communicates with different points of history. The acquisition of a supercomputer capable of performing wonders. Being abducted at latitude 54/40 by an alien race that inhabits a giant UFO. The descent into an underground kingdom lit by the Black Sun. These are some of the topics addressed in the magnificent Packard books. A man who marked the Juvenile literature forever. All material was recorded in 2012 and distributed by the musician himself among the few lovers of his work. This set includes a lathe-cut 7" with two tracks and a CD-R with 4 more tracks. Hand-painted box with various artifacts, just 16 copies! [Monochrome Vision]

Donis -- "Bez Grazhdanstva" -- LP -- €23
2016 Autarkeia, avi 068, (ltd. 150)
This long-planned LP is dedicated to a very close man of the author – his grandfather. Based on the story of his life, it reflects the post-war Lithuanian near border residents’ fates. Some were killed, others exiled or remained in the occupied territory of the Soviet system, which is an equivalent to the internal deportation or capitulation and surrender, hypocrisy. However, it turns out that even in such circumstances there’s possible a silent one person's resistance against the entire system. In the dark Soviet times album’s hero dared to defy the executive instructions of their actions on the grounds that he was not a citizen of this country. In the events of turmoil, it can be considered a miracle that the latter had survived, but had not been exiled to the northern camps. He was issued an identity document “Без гражданства” (in Russian, “No citizenship”)... Album compositions encode the post-war era’s symbols from child’s memory while listening to the stories of relatives. "So called Wolf's children – children wandering alone in East Prussia, which were protected by good people. "Flowering Gardens" – a generous harvest greeting exiles that returned home. "Cult servant" – a multi-layered and complicated personality and social status. "GEBURTSORT: SZINDAITSCHEN" – inscription in grandfather's personal documents indicating the place of birth, current Zindaiciai town. "1977” – the symbolic year in which the album’s hero died, and a few months later, LP’s author was born... The record is done using only acoustic instruments and ambient sounds of the authentic grandfather's life places: the remaining houses, attics with old craftsman’s tools, native whistling winds of Zindaiciai and chirping birds, church, yellow rusted documents and photographs, squeaky steps in Jurbarkas’ town cemetery... "Без гражданства" is a melancholic, atmospheric instrumental ambient album for the human condition, when you become a stranger in your own homeland, imprisoned in a trap and a hard choice: to flee or to stay. Junko -- "The Void" -- LP -- €10
2015 Erratum, EM011, (ltd. 300)
After "Sleeping Beauty" in 2002, here is the second SOLO album from the ultimate japanese voice! Very rare. The scream beyond all screams, the most incredible intensity within its simplest aspect. Two years in the making, here it is finally, "THE VOID", a minimal masterwork with two tracks recorded in Paris: the first one with a raw direct naked voice approach - yet very clear and unheard as JUNKO has never recorded her full voice this way, and a second track with all of JUNKO's voice frequencies pushed to extremes for a wild excessive vocal trance. Minimal, repetitive, obsessional: this is one of the keys to enter THE VOID. [label info]

Trepaneringsritualen / Body Cargo -- split -- LP -- €23
2016 Autarkeia, avi 067, (ltd. 300)
This product is a common work of Swedish and Lithuanian industrial music scene. Two well-known artists of industrial / ambient scene decided to collaborated and recorded into this vinyl three pieces each. On the A side one can find Sweden’s TREPANERINGSRITUALEN which composed impressive dark ambient / death industrial tracks. Culled from the same sessions as Akallan: Mimir, Trepaneringsritualen’s side of this split features a prolonged death chant in three movements. Sombre, slow-moving and ritulistic in approach, this working fits in stylistically somewhere between the previously mentioned Akallan: Mimir and Deathward, To The Womb. They are different from some other releases from this project’s mastermind Thomas, as here you won’t find any metal rock touch. On the B side – Lithuanian post-mortem act BODY CARGO, which, as it is usual to this project, plays dirty and brutal lo-fi about cannibal cults of Papua New Guinea. [press-release]

Under The Snow -- "The Background Noise" -- 12" s/s -- €9
2013 13, sps1301, (ltd. 86)
Under The Snow is a project by Stefano Gentile (guitar, objects, field-recordings) and Gianluca Favaron (microphones, field-recordings, processing). Stefano Gentile is well known for his work as owner of the Silentes and Amplexus labels; he is part of Maribor (along with Maurizio Bianchi, Nimh, Andrea Marutti and Gianluca Favaron) and in the past he has collaborated with Aube and Amir Baghiri. Beyond releasing under his own name, Gianluca Favaron collaborates with Ennio Mazzon on the Zbeen project; in the past he has released music as Ab'she and was part of Lasik Surgery along with Pierpaolo Zoppo. Released after a series of works for Silentes and U-Cover, "The Background Noise" is a single-sided 12" record, built starting from acoustic guitar sounds that develop on a background of statics and digital scoriae, where the cold and aseptic electronic frequencies melt with the plucked strings, resonating in a dramatic request for help or, maybe, in the warning of an imminent danger. A welcome release in the fast-growing discography of Under The Snow, that will appeal to fans of other Italian musicians like, among the others, Gianluca Becuzzi, Fabio Orsi, Enrico Coniglio, Stefano Pilia and Giuseppe Ielasi (who took care of the mastering). "The Background Noise" is released in a limited edition of 86 copies. [label info]

Barton, Todd / Curtis Roads -- split -- C-40 -- €7
2016 Nekorekords, NEKO-28, (ltd. 150)
Prof. Curtis Roads (CA, USA) has influenced tons of people with his explorations in granular synthesis in the 70’s, his books on computer sounds, and with his music, which has shaped, among others, the sound of Autechre. Here we have a very noisy version of a new composition called “Then”, specially driven in the red for this release. Pointillistic and harsh!! Todd Barton (OR, USA) is a lecturer and flag-carrier for Buchla synths. Tirelessly exploring the possibilities of this infinitely configurable modular beast, we hear 2 long pieces in the spirit of Krell music, that is: linear compositions of outerworldly space contemplations, balancing between controlled chaos and clarity, with a touch of a distant future from a parallel past... Edition of 150 on C-40 chrome tape. 1:1 duplication at Matomeri HQ. Clear tapes with red spools. Includes a postcard. [label info]

Forward -- "Infinite Momentum, Infinite Tension" -- C-40 -- €5
2014 self-released, (ltd. 20)
This is basically the first publicly-released and official full-length album by Forward. Two tracks of long-form, linear static and droning harsh noise, straight and to-the-point, extremely minimal and precise. Heavy electronics for the obsessive but discerning ear. These long pieces are studies in the adjectives used in the title: momentum and tension. Maintaining both is key to proper composition of the wall of harsh noise, the harsh noise wall, yet these tracks also move along and keep one's attention and awareness through many detailed and subtle changes. Steady, deep pulsing synthesizer drones blanketed in shifting, highly multi-textured patches of extremely rough static noise recorded to tape, using only a broken mixer as a noise generator and absolutely no effects pedals or equalizers. Edition of 20 copies on white Type I professional tapes with Xeroxed artwork. [from the author]

Post Scriptvm -- "Thunderclouds over Borsk" -- MC -- €7
2016 NEN Records, NEN04, (ltd. 45)
Post Scriptvm, Brooklyn duo with Russian roots, is an unique example of classical post-industrial, which has not lost any sense and power. Their album ‘Raspad’, released by Tesco Organization, remains unattained Mariana Trench of god rebellion and abandonment. Although "Thunderclouds over Borsk" on the format and the sound returns to the mini-album ‘Chiaroscvro’ and ‘Sea-Green Series V’ (2003-2004), the steel conflict with the Supreme connects this new album to ‘Raspad’... "Thunderclouds ..." is an experimental short record, similar to the steep feverish dream. The album's title refers to the Soviet anti-religious propaganda film of 1960’, which is set in the fictional town Borsk. A hint of what everyone has his own "Borsk" is quiet obvious... Musically, " Thunderclouds..." is a strong dark ambient of the old school, which despite all the respect for the rules of the genre, is intrinsically not predictable and that is more important for the listener, is not predictable on psychoactive level. This music lies in the space between a nightmare and mysterious reality. The reactionary otherworldly sound resonates perfectly with the themes of religious obscurantism... and for quest for higher truth... Special mention deserves the visual side of the release: the first edition issued NEN Records artist - Irina A. Goryaynova. [label info]

Pri Doline Mak -- "Narcolepsy" -- C-90 -- €5
2016 YAOP, YAOP 083, (ltd. 27)
Third full-length album fron the great St. Petersburg-based experimental Drone Ambient project. Starting from nowhere and abruptly ending analogue pieces; lots of synthesizers, handmade sound sources, complicated ways to exit; narcolepsy works as a single organism, confusing mind with dampen tapes, guiding the listener, as if holding his arm, blindfolded, through his life. "Every man's life is a labyrinth with death standing in the center, and maybe even after death, before going completely into oblivion, a man walks through his last labyrinth." Cover made of craft paper, hand-numbered. [label info]

Torba -- "Polyester Catacomb" -- C-20 -- €8
2013 Aaltra Records, aa07
Torba is the solo project of Mauro Diciocia, an italian noisemaker based in Berlin, Germany and head of Aaltra Records. His sound is a crude collage of tape loops, hums and crackings, walls of noise, audible insalubrity, odd found-sounds and other crusty textures. "Polyester Catacomb" is a sort of concept-tape about the wreckage of domestic relationships. Some of the fields recordings contained in the tracks were captured in abandoned houses or collapsing buildings to emphasize the social entropy theme through the sound documentation of the decline and destruction of the symbol par excellence of the modern family: the house. Recorded between may 2012 and january 2013 manipulating tape-loops and field-recording as well as handmade oscillators, contact microphones and circuit bent radios, this two tracks offer a gloomy journey through frustration and collapse. 2016 Noyade Records, NR-14, (ltd. 50)
New compilation cassette by Noyade Records continues the line of the previous "Eintauchen" compilation - it presents tracks from drone artists throughout the world, united by a common idea. Two parts of the title match two sides of the cassette. First is textural and meandering side of the genre. Mild, hypnotically vibrating track by LUNAR ABYSS reflects - or maybe is a reflection itself - in a ringing frozen moment by GHOST REFLECTION. Bells and voices, spaces yet to be visited and experienced. Second part is the Line. Like any line, you can follow it. Well, THISQUIETARMY's "Hydrocution" is rather a flow: but the one carried by it has some time to look around. Repeating guitar fingerpickings of SYSTEM MORGUE take one further and further, however not on a quite Roman road. These are other locations, and everyone can choose where to stay. [label info]

Badrutt, Gaudenz / Ilia Belorukov / Jonas Kocher / Alexander Markvart -- "Quiet Novosibirsk" -- DVD + book -- €15
2016 Bruit / Edition Haus am Gern
From August 31 to September 10, 2014 Swiss musicians Jonas Kocher and Gaudenz Badrutt teamed up with St.Petersburg-based saxophone player Ilia Belorukov for a series of seven concerts in Russia. For this trip, they were accompanied by photographer Lucas Dubuis. All travellers documented their journey intuitively, collecting all kinds of audio and visual material. The result is a varied approach to this project: a 32-minute film on DVD, a series of photographs, a short and fragmented tour diary by Ilia Belorukov, an extended discussion about musical practice between Gaudenz Badrutt, Jacques Demierre and Jonas Kocher, and a contribution from Kemerovo-based musician Alexander Markvart about improvised music in Siberia. AKPAN -- "Schwarze Sonne" -- CD -- €8
2007 Strely Peruna prod., SP019, (ltd. 420)
A project of a man also performing as Sva Battalion. Militant shamanistic dark-ambient/noise in which throat singing, khomus, percussion and wind instruments (not sampled but recorded by the author himself) meet noises and gunshots. Feeling like a gathering of shamans-generals conjures about their military business. In general, quite vivacious and non-standard recording, qualitative and interesting.

Alfarmania -- "Skracken" -- CD -- €10
2012 Autarkeia, acd 069, (ltd. 300)
A deeply rooted transnational policy of methadone promotion by a jew George Soros, one of the major drug lords in the world, has changed genetic code of human beings and provoked apocalyptic catastrophe of civilisation. A synthetic opiate turned to be a reason of mutation resulted in la carte noire for the world’s population. A synthetic substitute of opiate has unique feature. A special formula was created in a way that eliminates sensual pleasure, however ensures strong addictiveness and intoxication that erase human emotions by destroying neural points responsible for hope and faith. Billions of methadone seekers, with no feelings yet with a horrible hunger for methadone, provoked massive riots and overtook control of a planet. A black-and-white regime, a new order prevailed in the world, driven by anxiety. Faded and intoxicated bodies trespassed to the new level of existence where pleasure was replaced by addictiveness, emotions – by emptiness, colours – by greyness. A kingdom of mutant dominated on the ruins of a planet. A continuous flow of regime agenda and propaganda has been broadcasted through the corrupt media. This world is expressed in sound structures of the latest album Skracken by a cult Swedish post mortem project ALFARMANIA. As depressive, dark, claustrophobic, toxic as synthetic METHADONE of G. Soros, exterminating population, emotions and future. [press-release]

Altieri / Balestrazzi / Becuzzi -- "In Memoriam J.G. Ballard" -- CD -- €9
2012 Old Europa Cafe, OECD 159
James G. Ballard (1930-2009) was one of the most important and brilliant contemporary writers and his death has left a big cultural void. The influence of Ballard’s aesthetics has produced on millennium-end generations a true cult, inspiring artists and art-works in all disciplines. Yet nobody, until now, has decided to dedicate an entire work to his memory. Thus, by mutual agreement, Corrado Altieri (Candor Chasma, Monosonik, TH26 ..), Simon Balestrazzi (TAC, Kino Glaz, Candor Chasma, Dream Weapon Ritual ..) and Gianluca Becuzzi (Limbo, Pankow, Kinetix ..), have decided to dedicate this album to the master of post modern literature and his work. The nine tracks of that album take their titles from so many Ballard novels, trying to recreate his special visionary mood into music. A universe ruled by free dreaming associations: eroticism, technology, consumerism and cruelty mingle together to create a new perception of reality. A constant dialectic between micro-events and macro-rumorism, between digital pointillism and white noise, in between static drones, fluctuations, shifts and sudden changes of scenery. The changing environment is producing sound architectures where the organic and the inorganic are no longer self-conscious, casting vague on each other. The Marilyn Monroe hologram projected on the wall of a motel near an airport is sexier than the original. James Ballard is dead, long live James Ballard. This is best Italian Industrial in good old-school mood! [press-release]

Arkhaion -- "When Gods Walked The Earth" -- CD-R -- €9
2012 Ufa Muzak, UFA57, (ltd. 150)
Heroic / Mythical sympho neoclassic ambient. Human history is not what is seems for the majority of modern people today. There's no evolutionary and progressive history of development. The primitive modern science can only suppose that it all started about 8000-6000 years B.C. The raven darkness of this delusion is penetrated by other theories which may seem to be completely fantastic, talking about cyclic models of development. 10.000 years before the Common Era humanity was at the peak of cosmic growth and highest development. All myths and heroic eposes, ciphered and allegorical, tell about that times. In those times there was a different race on Earth, now we call them Gods. The great ancestors built gigantic cities, they were developing and lived according to the highest wisdom. This race was certainly of cosmic origin, and they laid the foundation of the whole history on this planet. There were humans like us too, who lived in the same time with the highest creatures, the Gods, and received knowledge from them. First kings described in ancient myths were the offsprings of the Gods - they belonged to the other level and deserved complete worship. Their power allowed them to reach the highest spiritual state, the biggest progress of science of much more absolute character, to build the cities of unseen constructions. The power of human beings came from the Gods who gave them self-consciousness and combined their fate with their own great fate and goal within the Universe. It started 200.000 years ago. Majestic, triumphant and cryptic album of the conceptual project Arkhaion opens up slowly and calmly like movement of a huge body in cosmic space. Everything is undisturbed and grandiose, white light divides in spectral colours and the micro-symbol starts rotating, a mandala containing the new model of the Universe. Ambient and symphonic structures repeat the process of matter efflux from the stars. Immersion in music is like obtaining wings for a short time enough to see the fabulous picture from the bird view. Genetic memory will allow only a few to dive deeper into the visionary space of the Ancient and live some more time there. 8 tracks, 52 minutes, pro-CDR, 8-page booklet with 8 myths. [press-release]

Aube -- "Ambera Planeta Wawar" -- CD -- €10
2007 Autarkeia, acd 025
AUBE Ambera Planeta Wawar goldenCD was the first bootleg issued by AUTARKEIA label. However, after the author Akifumi Nakajima apologised to us for his "negligence“, the misunderstandings between AUTARKEIA and Akifumi were cleared out. In the meantime after the author recognised the bootleg, AUBE Ambera Planeta Wawar goldenCD has acquired a new status. This publication has become an official release of the project, while its previous concept (that of a bootleg) became meaningless. The exclusive record by the Japanese genius is based on excellent psychedelic ambient and the collages of extreme, structural noise music. The release is sold in an elegant digipack, which is probably the first in AUBE history. [press-release]

Bad Sector -- "CMASA" -- CD -- €8
2009 Power & Steel, PAS 23
In 2005 Massimo Magrini was invited to provide a soundtrack for the M3M art exhibition in Pisa/Italy. The exhibition was based around images of the seaside and the rivers estuary of Pisana area with CMASA airplane factory built there in it's centre vis a vis of archaic marine cottages. This marvelous seaside scenery mixed with vintage industrial locations, together with some kind of nostalgia, created an unexpected but amazing mood. To sculpture a soundtrack of this scenery Massimo Magrini was asked to use acoustic and natural sounds too and so he added for this work treated piano and snippets of acoustic guitars together with water sounds and metal samples. This may sound unusual for a BAD SECTOR release but all those new elements are perfectly blent into the massive and ambient soundwaves for what previous releases are known for and making CMASA probably to the most emotional album of Massimo Magrini to date. All initial exhibition sounds where regenerated, remastered and re-assembled during 2007-2009. Digipack. [press-release]

Becuzzi, Gianluca -- "[In]visible Fields" -- 2 CD -- €5
2011 Silentes Minimal Editions, sme 1145
INVISIBLE FIELDS is collection of tracks created in order to non-compositional works: sound and video installations, theatre, performances, live set. The first CD includes 5 tracks from various installations and theatre pieces. FOR E.A.P. is a reworked audio section for a theatre piece based on E.A. POE novel "The Pit and the Pendulum". THE CAGE is a performance made for the art exhibition "Strade Bianche". Gianluca Becuzzi played, into an etruscan barrel, a big empty aviary, scraping and beating it. RADIO TRANS IT was composed for an installation by Pietro Riparbelli / K11 entitled "Camera Sonora for 4 Radiodramas" presended at eXperimenta 02. WATER MEMORIES is the title of a site specific work presented at eXperimenta 03. BREATHS is the soundtrack of a series of video portraits by Francesco Arena. Bianchi, Maurizio & Mauthausen Orchestra -- "Spiritual Noises" -- CD -- €5
2012 Old Europa Cafe, OECD 155
Historical collaboration between two of the fathers of Italian (and not only Italian) Old-School Industrial: MAURIZIO BIANCHI [M.B.] and PIERPAOLO ZOPPO [M.O. / MAUTHAUSEN ORCHESTRA]. “Creating noise is determined by the presence of an original particle to which randomly apply an alteration to convey a voltage-activated disturbing that determinates the electro-phonic perturbation. As a result we obtain the SPIRITUAL NOISES”. Sounds by M.B.: ancient loops, modern metals and futuristic waves, M.O.: synthesizer, loops, noise effects. Final sound manuipulation by Gianluca Favaron: masterful amalgam and mixing. [press-release]

Blood Ov Thee Christ -- "Behind Thee Bars" -- CD -- €10
2010 Autarkeia, acd 061, (ltd. 300)
Harii does his time in prison, but the curse of blood ov thee christ reaches malice adepts even from the cellars of the repressive structures. Kristian Olsson has compiled the latest album Behind Thee Bars of the sound recording sessions, while Harii was still on the rampage in freedom, and so far it seems it may be the strongest album BOTC ever made. The tracks contain brutal vocals of both Harii and Kristian, very intense lo-fi noise, and morbid samples of trash films. Generally, this album reminds early works of SURVIVAL UNIT. Most probably because the sound in Blood Ov Thee Christ project is mainly managed by Kristian himself. One will find tracks recorded in the cult festival ICETODIRON 2007 TE, followed by a long break in concert activities of Autarkeia label. [press-release]

Bocksholm -- "Rinna Leathercluster Liveaction 2008" -- CD -- €10
2009 Autarkeia, acd 044, (ltd. 500)
Lina Baby Doll [Deutsch Nepal] and Peter Andersson [Raison D'etre], two famous punks of the industrial scene, played the havoc again. In the beginning there was a very drunken gig that resulted in a very drunken album. Nevertheless, it is impossible to accuse the musicians of unprofessional recording or unusual state when recording. Since seas of beer are the most favourable condition for the records and gigs of these Swedish blokes, the concert in Malmo is simply perfect. In the meantime, well-mastered record does not leave any hints of non-studio work. Bearing in mind the reputation of these well-know masters of havoc, no wonder that this record is dominated by remarkable, powerful industrial rhythms, outbursts of psychedelic ambient, intoxicated, gargling vocals, sombre and dismal atmosphere transfused by alcoholic delirium, alcoholic despair and alcoholic hysteria that has only one culprit... No, no, it is not the alcohol, but this isolated, remote Swedish provincial town Bocksholm with its fauna and polluted nature that had such a heavy impact on the childhood of these alcohol addicts. Bolverkstorm -- "Ewigkeit" -- CD -- €6
2014 Valgriind, VG54, (ltd. 500)
Martial \ Neofolk. "On the second album "Ewigkeit" Russian project Bolverkstorm presents the continuation of the sonic pictures of "9 Steps To Death" depicting the sensory perception of a white warrior's death, soldier or officer, in significant military conflicts of the historical realities. The breath of project - is pagan death in a battlefield, a clear derogation of the christian image of death of "those persecuted to death". May it be a mass massacre of people masses brought to war by the rulers, or a death of a volunteer warrior from a piece of metal, love and contempt for life at the same time - "der letzte sieger ist der tod". The eternal spirit of war burns the wicks of people fates, the fight for higher ideals borders with death - but the fates of those contempting death spark brighter. From the deep roots of antiquity to the young branches of modern weltanschauung - this spirit is constantly whispering to us over the clank of swords, rumble of cannons and rustling bullets..." Bolverkstorm -- "Pest Of Disarmament" -- MC + CD-R -- €13
2015 Strely Peruna, SP 025, (ltd. 20)
Quite experimental and abstract work by Bolverkstorm, not much in common with previous martial / neofolk albums. Here we get into a calm atmosphere with gloomy hues. Many found sounds: wind blows, electronic signals sweep, some disjointed percussion, rare inclusions of instrumental melodies, all this is set in a logical narrative. From time to time the events thicken, with more rough noise structures appearing, as well as militaristic rhythms and clang of weapons... suspense hanging in the air, but gradually dissolves in overall sound flow. Great work in terms of sound, composition and atmosphere. 20 copies of a cassette with a handmade insert, the album is also duplicated on a blank CDR.

Bruta Non Calculant -- "Instinct" -- CD -- €10
2015 Dark Vinyl, DV62
Instinct is a wonderfully discomfiting album, but not in the self-conscious way so often seen and heard in post-industrial genres. Supremely weird and difficult to categorize, it meanders through minimal synth and folk, techno and industrial, grabbing handfuls of the worst vibes from each genre and combining them to form a slurry of miserable vocals and beats both druggy and danceable without the slightest hint of irony. In a sense, Bruta Non Calculant is accomplishing what so many artists in the much-maligned witch house genre set out to do and ultimately failed at, falling into k-holes of late 80s/early 90s nostalgia and Tumblr posturing. Though at times it’s hard to believe that Instinct is a recent album, it lacks any “retro” affectations, or any affectations, period. It’s brutally honest, and wields that honesty like a subtle sledgehammer. Use all the Third Reich samples or autopsy photos you like, but listening to Instinct is like sitting alone at a dingy club in a foreign country where you don’t speak the language, and realizing you’ve been drugged. Candor Chasma -- "Rings" -- CD -- €9
2012 Old Europa Cafe, OECD 152, (ltd. 300)
Candor Chasma is the new electronic Italian duo of Corrado Altieri (Monosonik, Uncodified) and Simon Balestrazzi (T.A.C., Dream Weapon Ritual). The band name comes from outer space (Candor Chasma is one of the largest canyons in the Valles Marineris canyon system on Mars) and their debut album is a 5-part hallucinogenic voyage inside analogue whirls, multilayered textures made of tapes and white noise, psychedelic frequencies and cerebral ambient-noise. With the duo rewrites and revises old school industrial, creating contemporary hypnotic atmospheres and up to date power-electronics explosions yet making full reference to the experimental side of the grey area. For sure a project that will appeal to all the fans of good old-school sounds. [press-release]

Cisfinitum -- "Tactio" -- CD -- €7
2008 Mechanoise Labs, mn033, (ltd. 500)
With a parsimonious discography mostly released on seasoned Russian labels such as Waystyx, Ewers Tonkunst and Monochrome Vision, Evgeny Voronovsky has established himself as a uniquely engaging artist in the country's current ambient scene. Under the name of Cisfinitum, he has taken a syncretic approach to an often codified genre, uniting his formal training as a violinist at the Moscow State University with his affinity for concrete sounds and experimental structures. Past releases have shown a capacity to synthesize these factors at times while emphasizing the contrasts between them at others, sometimes over the course of a single track. In this aspect, this album follows the tradition faithfully... Tactio is the live recording of a Cisfinitum concert at the St. Petri Dom (St. Peter's Cathedral) in Bremen, on November 24, 2005. The particular (and as expected highly favorable) acoustics of this environment were consistently used not only as an enhancing effect but as an integral foundation for the performance, making it unmistakably tied to its context. Presented in the form of six continuous tracks, the album is a contemplative composition of vibrant drones, reverberating bells and synthesized resonance, gracefully evolving from the celestial tones of its start to the tellurian pulses of its climax. This is a piece of work that is elaborate in its simplicity, and it's with much appreciation that it is presented here today. The beautiful iconic artwork by Evgeny Kuprienko further emphasizes the relic-like qualities of this recording. [press-release]

Coil -- "Backwards" -- CD -- €10
2015 Cold Spring, CSR203CD
After the ground-breaking release of 1990's "Love's Secret Domain" album, Coil were not dormant; the main project was "Backwards", which was started in 1992, updated considerably between 1993 and 1995, and transferred in 1996 to New Orleans, where it was finished in the magic of the Nothing studios of Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails). The album saw the fruition of Jhonn Balance's recent vocal coaching, producing haunting, passionate vocals, while reaching new heights. 23 years after its initiation, these tracks have been beautifully preserved by Danny Hyde and are finally available in highest quality audio. Differing substantially from the later, remixed incarnation, "The New Backwards" (2008), "Backwards" contains the original versions of Coil's much-loved tracks; 'A Cold Cell' and 'Fire Of The Mind', which have appeared on various compilations over the years, and are now presented as originally intended. This album is the essential bridge between "LSD" and the later "Musick To Play In The Dark" series. It is an essential conduit, to understand the journey that was taken. It was to be released… it should have been released… but because of issues with grey men it wasn't. It is now, so enjoy. (Danny Hyde).

Coniglio, Enrico feat. Manuel P. Cecchinato & Massimo Liverani -- "Sea Cathedrals" -- CD -- €3
2010 Silentes, cd201026
Five superb tracks of deep and evocative ambient music, enriched with echoes of ancient ritual suggestions. The immense spaces and the abyssal deepness of the sea, but also the sound of the bowels of the Earth, the colour of the sand of the desert, the energy of the wind, the strenght of all the Elements, the infinite cycle of day and night, of life and death… A long circular journey through interchanging atmospheres that shake and capture, dragging with energy, then leave room for more quiet and soothing introspective “stasis”, and again become dramatic and overwhelming. A great, unmissable album of “classic” ritual ambient music. [press-release]

Day Before Us / Nimh -- "Under Mournful Horizons" -- CD -- €9
2012 Rage In Eden, RIE 91, (ltd. 500)
Giuseppe Verticchio (Nimh) is a brilliant Italian underground musician specialised in organic / visceral ambient tales. He is notably known for his collaboration with Maurizio Bianchi and modern experimental electronic artists (Nefelheim, Baghiri from Italy...). He released more than 10 albums (between 2001 & 2007, including collaborative projects). His charged, orchestrated abstract universe features dynamic musical motifs (from acoustic percussions, exotic instruments to e-guitar) superposed on electronic dronescapes. His work is now called ambient-electronic-ethnic-experimental music... Day Before Us is an acoustic micro-tonal ambient project formed in 2010. The musical signature is turned to solemn soundscaping ritualism, dada-esque hypnopedies and soundtracky ambiences. The content is sometimes sustained by digital field recordings. All tracks are recorded live. The main sources of inspiration come from odd literature, ghostly presence, angelology, cinematic poetry and the magical realism. Day Before Us means the everlasting power of ancient time which saves us from the amnesia of everyday life. [label info]

Deadwood -- "Sheolic" -- CD -- €10
2014 Cold Spring, CSR163CD
The desolate new album from Sweden’s Deadwood (aka Daniel Jansson of CULTED). Recorded 2009-2011, “Sheolic” mixes dark ambient with black Industrial and power electronics, making this the bleakest Deadwood album to date. Cold, distorted waves of nefarious electronics, putrescent vocals and dense, heavy rhythms take you to a new sub-level of despair that delivers on many plains of consciousness. Influenced by the downfall of mankind and the men and women that willingly embrace it; from religious cults to those who choose to act on their own. This is the final part of the Deadwood trilogy for Cold Spring – beginning with “8 19? in 2005, continuing with “Ramblack” in 2008, and finishing with “Sheolic” in 2014. Cover art by Laetitia Mantis. Deutsch Nepal -- "Amygdala" -- CD -- €10
2011 Autarkeia, acd 066
Amygdala is the latest album of the Swedish industrial music guru Der General. After listening to this album, one finds it difficult to decide whether it is a masterpiece of hypnotic music, the hallucinations of delirium tremens or perhaps the sign announcing the approaching apocalypse? Magnificent, gloomy and profound tracks create the atmosphere reminding the last days of the last member of the royal family or the celebration of the collapse of its era by a majestic empire. But that is only the general mood of the album. The tracks are very different from each other. Some of them frightful, some majestic, while the rest are calm and deep like dreams. And yet the subject matter of all lyrics is in one or another way related to death and the secret lurking behind it. Actually, Der General conveys it with remarkable subtlety. The album contains a number of crescendos, at least three hits and yet none of them reveal the secret fully. Der General music mesmerises with its slow and massive rhythms inherent most probably only to the Scandinavian electronics, and icy ambient flow inborn to the Northern men. Amygdala is the undisclosed secret. In various shapes it occurs throughout the album tracks where Der General to Heaven travels to meet Jesus and the holy family and investigate the nature of the supernatural ecstasy. Something bothers him and he leaves Heaven. In other tracks he states that we have to be reborn and continue living, later he takes part in the mystic funeral train burying and then resurging dead dogs. Upon their revival, the dogs attack the participants of the train and spread panic. Amygdala is a very colourful kaleidoscope of psychedelic visions. Der General concludes the album by letting us know that it is all clear to him and that the atmosphere is absolutely rotten. Perhaps it is a result of the empty bottle, or much more serious reasons… [press-release]

Deutsch Nepal -- "Rapist Park Junktion" -- 2 x 7" -- €16
2011 Autarkeia, avi 056, (ltd. 370)
Perhaps the most charismatic figure of the industrial scene - Lina Baby Doll - has recorded a new 25 minute material for his cult project Deutsch Nepal. Many people call this extraordinary artist Robie Williams of the industrial scene. Yet, after listening to the latest record of Deutsch Nepal, many will undoubtedly call him Frank Sinatra of the scene. The atmosphere of the new Deutsch Nepal tracks somewhat reminds the American genius’ old hits pervaded by deep longing and specific black humour. However Rapist Park Junktion is far from the return to the depressive epoch of Erosion. The new tracks contain the features of all periods of Deutsch Nepal music. They remind ritual aspects of Deflagration of Hell and Benevolence, rhythms of Tolerance and nightmares of Comprendido… time stop, as well as mournfulness of Erosion coupled with wild sexuality of Erotikon. Lina says Rapist Park Junktion is a bridge between his earlier music and that what is coming soon. To be more precise, this is a connecting-link to the mysterious Amygdala. So, Rapist Park Junktion is the same old and charismatic Lina Baby Doll now playing the role of Frank Sinatra instead of Nick or Robie Williams, and the gloomy atmosphere of drinking-songs glowing in the background of horrible audio hallucinations. Dimeth Trip -- "Instructions From Konstantin Lopushansky" -- CD -- €10
2011 Autarkeia, acd 058 / Moontrix, MTXCD003, (ltd. 200)
This disc is a joint project of two independent labels Autarkeia and Moontrix. Geid and Dega, members of the industrial/ambient formation MALDUR ATAI, have recorded an album inspired by fatal post-apocalyptic films of the talented Russian director Konstantin Lopushansky. In their musical work, Geid and Dega build the atmosphere reminding of a horrible nightmare where the future can be glimpsed only in eerie fragments of the past. The new post-apocalyptic world is bizarre and hopeless, therefore, the surviving people dream to wake up. Sadly, the dream would not go away. That is a new reality with no existential meaning, an absolute dead-end that has destroyed the majority and made the surviving ones wish for death. The message of the album authors, like the films of the Russian director, is crystal clear: the dream is soon set to become the only prospect of the human civilisation. DIMETH TRIP's disc Instructions From Konstantin Lopushansky is a fine industrial/ambient album distinguished by its tough atmosphere and containing a number of samples from Konstantin Lopushansky’s films. Moreover, it is a clear warning that we have come to the limit. Once we step over the line, there is no way back. Master for the record was made by ambient genius Peter Andersson (RAISON D’ETRE). Donis -- "Alexandreia" -- CD -- €10
2007 Autarkeia, acd 018, (ltd. 500)
Donatas Bielkauskas - the man having keen ear, primeval curiosity, solid musical education and exquisite taste, who has released into the world the musical project DONIS (tribute in Prussian) - expands the space of creative quests with every new album until it transgresses this single regular cultural medium - music related with the tradition of Lithuanian ethnos, which he is the expert of. This time the artist has embarked on a new challenging journey, that is, to compose music revealing the unknown spirit of antiquity. His efforts have resulted in Alexandreia album that serves as a deep, pure and dreamy manifest to the ancient times. Tranquil, transparent and persuasive ambient stream prevails in the tracks. The archaic winds of different nations tastefully add to it in some of the tracks. These include hornpipe, bagpipes, mesmerising rhythms of tabor and mystifying bells. Soft and velvety voice of vocalist Alwyda, who has created the key vein of the album, opens the idealised femininity of the antiquity and conveys emotionally-charged world vision of genius Konstantin Kavafi where the Mediterranean past and present, the East and the West, the Greeks and the barbarians meet in the catharsis of profound sadness and wisdom, where the fall of civilisation witnessed in the vanishing cultural heritage is revealed. The Greek poetry recited in an enchanting voice and the ambient melting the words with elemental force embrace the audience who do not even know the archaic language. Alexandreia album will not disappoint the lovers of Dead Can Dance, Kameras 48, Raison D’etre music, either. [press-release]

Fanum / Karna -- "Something Else" -- CD -- €10
2014 ZHELEZOBETON distribution division, ZHBD-05, (ltd. 100)
A split-album by two brother projects from Moscow and Rostov-on-Don, each of them having a serious discography under the belt: Fanum has released two solo works and several collaboration recordings with such projects as Exit In Grey, Kromeshna, Vazhes, etc., and Karna has eight solo discs and two collaborations with Melek-Tha and Velehentor... On this album we will hear two long suites in classical industrial dark ambient style. The track by Fanum is an unhurried drift through deserted mechanized spaces, slow loops of soft noises and streams of vibrant drones. It seems like birds singing somewhere? Or is it just a rusty flap creaking in the wind?.. The composition features many field recordings, the origins of which are not so easy to guess. Sound fabric sways like waves, sometimes rolling over with assertive density, then retreating and creating a rarefied atmosphere with sweeps of rare electric flashes and phantom echoes... Karna presented the final recording of the project here: a monotonous post-apocalyptic soundscape imbued by cold moonlight. Lifeless space, painted with pulsating low frequencies and grainy crackling of the electrified air. The composition is minimalistic at first sight, but it gradually sprouts with various layers and structures: rare metal clangs and machine samples, electronic strokes, a grid of simple rhythm and a quiet synth melody underlining the overall atmosphere of desolation. Like an automated sand mining colony somewhere on the outskirts of the galaxy, long abandoned, semi-ruined, living out its remaining days in vacuum, zero gravity and oblivion…

Fire In The Head -- "Icon" -- CD -- €10
2007 Autarkeia, acd 023
I/CON is an exploration of religion as a both a catalyst for mental illness born of the human condition and as a disease itself. These are the incessant and uncontrollable screams of a deified ego mired in its own fallacies, of the pious and the possessed, of hypocrisy and holocaust, of resurrection and insurrection, of suffocating paranoia and immaculate deception, a final descent into a mind consumed with lies left to putrefy since youth, a head first plummet into the burning depths of malignant neuroses where the borders between reality and aberration have been razed, a maelstrom of auditory hallucinations and recurring apocalyptic nightmares. The dark ambient interludes of previous F/I/T/H releases are absent from this release having been replaced by a highly hysterical hallucinatory component resulting from the use of human voices used as a key of the aspect of the source material. I/CON shunts pure psychosis through eleven tracks of densely layered power electronics / industrial / noise leaving no room to breathe. [press-release]

Five Elements Music & Denis Shapovalov -- "Steel Glares and Night Shadows" -- CD -- €5
2011 Observatoire, obs * 029 cd, (ltd. 350)
Record of this disc has been made during 2010,2011. The material of Moscow region project Five Elements Music is used as a basis. The record was made at night in different industrial areas of town. In this collaboration F.E.M. goes ahead with its field recordings line. Denis Shapovalov (Adriva) finds his sound recovery from natural materials - metal, glass, wood… One cannot find synth's in this disc, however, naturalistic sticky pseudo-analog sound provides "authentic old school". This effect is sustained by wave reverberations which run into massive drones. But it's not the very essence of buzzing often cut by new structure waves and cycles conjoined with field recordings. Galerie Schallschutz -- "H.A.A.R.P." -- CD -- €5
Tesco Organisation, TESCO053
This album of a German project is based on a US military project referred to as HAARP. The material is composed of extended structures that usually evolve from and into pulsating frequency patterns and deep enveloping patterns of noise... Here some more infos about the concept: The U.S. government has a new ground-based "Star wars" weapon which is being assembled on a military base in Alaska, by the Air Force and the Navy. HAARP stands for High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program. This new system has the capability to manipulate the environment in such a way as to change weather patterns, disrupt global communication systems, disrupt human mental processes, negatively affect health and impact the earth's upper atmosphere in an unnatural and damaging way. All participants involved in designing HAARP are part of a giant partnership of government and it's done in secret. The military gives the impression that this project is mainly an academic project with the goal of changing the ionosphere to improve communications for our own good but they has deliberately misled the public, through sophisticated word games, deceit anf outright disinformation... for all who still want to think and who still can think... Comes in nice DVD package. [label info]

Gelsomina -- "Pythogenetics: Collection" -- CD -- €4
2009 Turgid Animal, TA285
Since the early 2000's, up until the UK tour in the summer of 2008, Gelsomina has been the musical outlet of Finnish Harsh Noise fiend, Pekka PT. A brutal mix of junk metal abuse and pedal worship, sometimes resulting in total unflinching chaos and other times resulting in a more structured industrial noise masterwork. Having released dozen's of tapes, cd's and vinyl it was never going to be an easy task to wittle it all down to CD length but through the critical eyes of the man himself, Pekka has managed to pull together 74 minutes of what he considers the best of his Gelsomina, and I couldn't agree more. Featuring a full colour tray card and 4 page booklet with liner notes by Mikko Aspa (Grunt/Freak Animal Records) and Pasi Markkula (Bizarre Uproar/Filth and Violence). Essential Harsh Noise document by a now defunct but legendary project. But it's not all bad; Watch out, Sick Seed is on the rise! [press-release]

The Grey Wolves -- "Blood And Sand" -- CD -- €12
2002 Cold Spring, CSR42CD, (ltd. 1000)
Originally released as a cassette a decade ago (with SHOCK CITY), the original tapes have been radically remixed by the band, then digitally mastered to bring out the extreme sound of the UK’s premiere Industrial unit. Do not expect simple noise – this album contains extreme electronics, mixed with dark ambient rumblings, the sound of armoured helicopters and military transmissions. It was originally issued as a comment of the Gulf War, then raging in the early 1990s. Released a decade later in this remixed format – the timing is appropriate as the US once more attacks the Middle East. [press-release]

Hall Of Mirrors -- "Forgotten Realm" -- CD -- €4
2009 Silentes Minimal Editions, sme 0927
Second “chapter” in the “Hall of Mirrors” saga, a project that hides the fervid minds of Giuseppe Verticchio/Nimh and Andrea Marutti/Amon. On this release they’re supported by Andrea Freschi (Subinterior, Konau…) and Andrea Ferraris (Ur, Sil Muir…), who gave their contribute with additional sound sources. Another long and fascinating journey among the ruins of lost and ancient civilizations, among desolate landscapes forgotten by time… To enrich the already busy electronic stratifications, among slowly evolving ambient sonorities and occasional parts of more sharp and “rough” elements of a Post-Industrial nature, we also find suggestive sound of reverberating flutes and dilated electric guitar parts, ending with delicate melodic arpeggios and evocative rhythmic accents of a vague cinematic taste. The adventure goes on… [label info]

His Divine Grace -- "Reverse Aleph" -- CD -- €12

You may be dead and even then you don't know a thing about this release. Just experience it! [label info]

1993/2007 Loki Foundation, LOKI 24
Due to the big interest we decided to re-release the legendary "Burning Flesh" material from 1993 with all the bonus material that appeared already on the limited CD-Version in 2000 in a new sympathically remastered version done at Secretlab in June 2007. Inade -- "Samadhi State" -- CD -- €7
2006/2008 Loki Foundation, LOKI 41
A Japanese edition of collected studio works from the last years, recorded during several sessions and rehearsals at the Light Channel. Remixed, re-constructed and re-edited in 2005. This release was accompaning the Spring Equinoxe concert in Tokyo and is now available outside of Japan as well. "Samadhi State" is illuminating the space of reality and the luminous arcs of dreams. Samadhi is a over-conscious experience that lies beyond waking, dreaming, and deep sleep. The realisation made in Samadhi is numinous realisation. A perfect condition in vigil, a condition of absolute consciousness. It is the final goal of everything and the highest form of self-possession, in the sense of collecting all the faculties of the constitution towards reaching union or quasi-union, long or short in time as the case may be, with the divine-spiritualЕ Life in the spirit is not fading. If the restrictions of the empirical being are exceeded, the universal life is intensified. The life becomes cosmical and even hypercosmical. The Samadhi State is neither guards nor dreams it is the fourth dimension, where the infinite eternity prevails. [press-release]

The Infant Cycle / Antmanuv -- "Periodical III" -- 3"CD-R -- €4
2006 The Ceiling, CEIL031, (ltd. 80)
THE INFANT CYCLE presents more "Unrelated Work Tapes" - part of series of that is both deeply interconnected (to other parts and future and past Infant Cycle tracks), yet can be heard on their own. Like much of the Ceiling catalogue, what is seemingly chaos later reveals itself as something else, and features much of the Infant Cycle's uneasy balance between abrasive textures, and quiet meditation - a balance often on the verge of tipping over. Over the past few years, ANTMANUV has created a diverse body of work in many different mediums. On this release, he has contribued a piece of wholly organic sound, a dense and growing entity of everyday sounds propelled into a hypnotic sphere of the familiar moved into unfamiliar territory. IRM -- "Anthology" -- 2 CD -- €20
2012 Autarkeia, acd 065, (ltd. 500)
Having started out in 1997 when Erik Jarl asked Martin Bladh to join him, 2012 sees the 15th anniversary of IRM. 15 years - incidentally the legal age of consent in their native Sweden - that have seen them mature from bedroom autodidacts to masters of the studio environment. Taking their cue from the confrontational sounds of BDN and Whitehouse on the tape debut, IRM have honed their sound by each album and eventually fleshed out the sonic tapestry by the addition of Mikael Oretoft (ex-Katatonia) on bass. By tapping into the mindsets of outsider artists/authors such as Mishima, Rudolf Schwarzkogler and Francis Bacon, their obsessions with pain, purity and beauty leaked into Bladh's personal lyrics. This aesthetic amalgamated with the volcanic eruptions of Jarl and Oretoft have set IRM apart as true originators in the diluted sea of contemporary power electronics. [press-release]

IRM -- "Oedipus Dethroned / An Act Of Self Mutilation Is An Act Of Freedom" -- 2 CD -- €20
2011 Autarkeia, acd 062, (ltd. 300)
This release calls for a very laconic word, actually, it speaks for itself. One sentence say it all: IRM Oedipus Dethroned / An Act of Self Mutilation Is an Act of Freedom box containing two golden discs is the pearl of the global post industrial; re-released after being fully sold-out, basking in glory, enjoying the same relevance after so many years and still vehemently desired and sought-after. After the first edition of the cult album Oedipus Dethroned, the audience of heavy music realised that Sweden had once again defended its heavyweight champion's name on the industrial scene. Disturbingly massive, crushing and oppressive Erik Jarl’s analogous loops and rhythms combined with uncompromising vocals and poetry of Martin Bladh create shockingly ruthless and naked idea of deliverance through unbearable suffering. The tortured body in all its most hideous conditions turns into an instrument for revealing the true nature of being and surpassing its limitations. In destruction and devastation it opens the true road to the genuine unconditional beauty in its decay. Very elegant, valuable package and a new booklet with Martin Bladh's collages raise the release to the new aesthetic heights in the pantheon of gods of industrial culture. [press-release]

Iron Fist Of The Sun -- "We Can Yield Our Own Footsteps" -- CD -- €10
2015 Cold Spring, CSR204CD
In a scene dominated by outsiders, Iron Fist Of The Sun still seems to stand alone. “We Can Yield Our Own Footsteps” sees IFOTS maintain his exemplary, melancholic, cold industrial, with sinister frequencies and tumultuous, mutilated vocals. The album utilises new recording methods and extraordinary, intoxicating song arcs that will leave the listener still hearing and absorbing the album long after it has been filed away. “Follow no-one… yield your own footsteps”. Jarl -- "Turbulence Colour" -- 2 CD -- €20
2008 Autarkeia, acd 030, (ltd. 500)
Turbulence Colour is the tenth album of talented Swedish composer Erik Jarl, containing two and a half hours of new, never released sound material in two CDs. In terms of music, Erik Jarl remains loyal to his original but dismal style. Very long, hypnotic tracks convey unbearable, depressing and morbid states of human psyche. Turbulence Colour is at the same time a journey into the grey matrix of anxiety where the listeners are masterfully taken through the sickly labyrinths of the author’s mind. The latest Erik Jarl’s release is the top class drone psychocollage packed into a very elegant package. [press-release]

2012 Gradual Hate Records, GH 116 CD / Twilight Records, TW 1.99
Dark/Ritual Ambient. Liber Corvus (the Raven Book) is the new and occult edition by KAZERIA after the succesful "Discipline Of The Shadows" (SkullLine, 2008) and "Credo Nostrvm" (Twilight Records, 2010). Exploring a more dark/ritual ambient, contemplative, neoclassical and gothic side than previous works, this album was conceived as a rite of passage from dusk to the deep night in order to reach the Gnosis. The Crow guides the Neophyte through the Four Ways towards transmutation in the Midnight Sun, which is also the Morning Star. The concept was deeply inspired by the thelemic works of Frater Perdurabo (Aleister Crowley) the medieval mysticism, hermetic and alchemic symbolism and the heathen wisdom. The album contains four tracks plus two hidden tracks (the "Corvus Rituali" appendix), and a video-ritual directed by Diego Arandojo, in the Kenneth Anger occult-filmic style. [press-release]

Kriminaaliset Metsanhaltijat -- "Koskemattomuus" -- CD-R -- €3
2009 BloodLust!, B!138
BloodLust! is happy to announce "Koskemattomuus," the label's second release by the emerging industrial noise group, Kriminaaliset Metsänhaltijat, which follows on the footsteps of the bands recent "Anarkkia, Kaaos, Maailmanloppu!" EP [B!129]. The members of this shadow group of old-school industrial acolytes originally hail from Finland and from Karelia -- a region and an autonomous republic of northwest Russia, between the Gulf of Finland and the White Sea. To paraphrase some of the band's own dogmatic yet oblique statements and manifestos, Kriminaaliset Metsänhaltijat quite accurately claim to have built their sound on the bones of such groups as S.P.K. and Throbbing Gristle, through a prism of Japanese harsh-noise and Finnish hardcore-punk, spewing out a nihilistic nightmare of diffused synth hiss, commanding metal percussion, waves of harsh-noise, anarcho-punk attitude, and dissident power-electronics. This "new" album, which the band actually recorded in 2001, furthers the group's association with the anarcho-punk scene [CRASS, et al] by presenting a fiercely grim anti-war statement. By conjuring the disasters of war, both historic and contemporary, the group lays the blame for the death of so many innocent civilians squarely on the shoulders of greedy politicians and big business. Kriminaaliset Metsänhaltijat weave their aggressive, dark industrial-noise style with segments of traditional, romantic Finnish war songs from World War II, as well of impassioned battlefield vocal segments, creating a complex and compelling tableaux that should appeal to a broad group of listeners, including fans from the martial music, minimal synth, crusty punk, and noise scenes. These are professionally duplicated CDs, with single panel, double-sided inserts, featuring striking color artwork; in jewel boxes with shrinkwrap. [press-release]

Lebensessenz -- "Die Letzten Momente Von Werther" -- CD-R -- €5
2010 Valgriind, VG 42, (ltd. 120)
The new work by this neoclassic project is dedicated to the novel of J.W.Goethe "Die Leiden des jungen Werther" (1774) which describes the German reality of XVIII century and the dramatic personal feelings of main character who ends up with suicide. This novel brought fame to Goethe, none of the books of that time were read that much by the contemporaries as this novel. The circulation of the novel cased an epidemy of following suicides in Europe, which was later called the Werther effect. This effect was so strong that some of the countries had to prohibit the distribution of the book. "..Zum Bleiben ich, zum Scheiden du, erkoren, Giingsit du voran - und hast nicht viel verloren.." Lunde, Eric (aka Trait) -- "Inspirationals" -- CD -- €5
1988/2009 Industrial Recollections
Back in 1988 Arbeit Group label released obscure industrial-noise release by project called TRAIT. A-side of the tape includes several different arrangement for inspiration in battle. B-side included several of those arrangements combined together for temporary unified action. 45 minutes of most primitive analogue destruction, leaving no place for easylistening or relaxing moments. Even with the atmopheric and dark moment, sound is extremely decayed and coarse sound of tape loops, manipulation and electronics which transforms it to difficult industrial-noise. Years after the original release, personnel behind it has been officially declassified. Trait is one of the most vicious works of Eric Lunde, known for 80's masterpieces under his own name and legendary industrial group Boy Dirt Car. Releases on V2 archief, RRR, AWB, Powertech Industries. "Inspirationals" is carefully reflecting the original tape as accurately as possible. Material is transferred from original master tapes to CD by artist himself, leaving everything 100% as is. There is 2 long pieces (A and B side) with no mastering, no cleaning up, no boosting. Artwork is faithful to the original release, replicating the it as accurate as possible. This is the first release by Industrial Recollections label, aimed for re-issuing sold out pe/industrial/noise releases for fanatical audience. [press-release]

Maldur Atai -- "Checkpoint" -- CD -- €10
2010 Autarkeia, acd 047, (ltd. 300)
This is the first full album of industrial/ambient project Maldur Atai, titled Checkpoint. This dose of music of nearly one hour emanates strong and solid atmosphere that grows, develops and changes during each exquisitely constructed track. The notional indexes of the album touch upon a variety of religious aspects. Yet, they all are related to violence in religion and religion as an arcane or masked violator acting in informational reality. This album reveals religion as a system marketed and propagated by invisible conspirators. The system marked by powerful structure, network and techniques. It exists as a secret institute in the informational field of hallucinations, entices with its promises and attractive images, however, in reality opens horrible nightmares, marauds and kills. What is worst in this matrix is that it chooses children as its main target. The adults have been conditioned in their childhood so that they would sacrifice their children to the system later. Checkpoint is a filtration camp where the children's souls are met by elitist creatures of the arcane society wearing black mantles and hiding their faces. They lie, they enslave, they manipulate and they involve you in the vicious circle with almost no hope of retreat. Checkpoint is an abstract, universal and purified vision of Maldur Atai in which many will recognise their own very personal experiences and the symbols of the everyday secret war. [press-release]

Maldur Atai -- "Verger" -- CD -- €10
2011 Autarkeia, acd 060, (ltd. 300)
History is falsified. Facts are fiercely distorted, while the reasons for that are hidden with even more ferocity. A powerful network of a secret organisation creates phantasmagorical projection that has nothing to do with reality. Official explanations for the millions of people killed during the Second World War and the official causes of this war smack of absolute farce, while the political leaders have never existed in the first place. These were new generation 4D holograms. The actual war causes are concealed by a formidable conspiracy and lie in the pre-Buddhist epoch, the history of Maldur Atai puzzle. Although concealed so vigorously, the true causes of the Second World War and all other wars have been far from economic or political. They have to do with religion, the old Maldur Atai cult and the anticipated second Resurrection. According to the conspiracy, those building the falsified hologram of the world do everything to prevent the prophesy from happening and the ancient cult from returning as predicted. They do not want the truth to be disclosed. They seek the reference and the element containing the encoded signs of its Revelation. It is suspected that the main obstruction of time machines and projector of holograms is hidden in deep labyrinths under one of the small countries that has been responsible for the Crusades of the ancient times as well as all invasive wars. Indeed strange events took place on the threshold of the Second World War, the bloodiest war in human history. A secret leader has rallied all his agents and they have performed some kind of special ritual, the purpose of which is not known until today. A number of signs were seen and then the war raged with lethal outcomes. The truth remained hidden. What does the leader conceal from us? And, after all, who is he? What will his next ritual bring forth? The rebirth of Maldur Atai cult or the Third World War? MALDUR ATAI’s album Verger is exactly about all of this. [press-release]

Maldur Atai -- "Vermin" -- CD -- €10
2010 Autarkeia, acd 049, (ltd. 300)
Vermin is the second full album coming from the industrial/ambient project Maldur Atai. The subject-matter of this album is the arcane supernatural world that is sometimes accidentally opened by unawares people. They summon demons they cannot control later. Vermin is a contact with otherworldly powers with unpredictable aftermath, the word about which will spread for ages. It is an album testifying the outburst of aggression destroying safe existence. This is one of the gloomiest and most persuasive albums released recently. The atmosphere of the tracks varies greatly, yet they have one common impact: they make your hair rise. Languorous, ominous and full of longing sounds turn into devouring mentally disturbed elements. Rich sample library was used for the composition of the album. The layout of samples in the sonic fabric is not accidental. The place of each sample is meticulously chosen and well-thought, so the album seems incomposite and involving. Vermin is the invasion of powerful and especially malicious demons into the everyday life upon the accidental uttering of the forbidden mantra. Do not forget to make the circle in chalk, the vermin knock on you door. [press-release]

Mauthausen Orchestra -- "Digression" -- CD -- €10
2010 Silentes Minimal Editions, sme 1040
After the recent reprint of “historical” material collected on the “SONIC DEPRIVATION” CD (SILENTES SME0930), and the collaboration with NIMH on “FROM UNHEALTHY PLACES” (SILENTES SME9032), Mauthausen Orchestra/Pierpaolo Zoppo comes back with brand new tracks and a new album where the “fury” and aggressiveness of his usual “harsh” sonorities of a Noise/Power-Electronics nature are merged with more “quiet”, wide and always dark ambient parts, sometimes surprising us with unexpected and undisclosed pulsating rhythmic-electronic inserts. A great album for a project that has recently born again with an unsuspected and inspired artistic vital energy. [press-release]

Coming as a wonderful digipack CD, these six tracks collected from his very first cassette releases (Murderfuck, Mafarka, Anal Perversion, Host Sodomy, From Homicide to Slaughter) are released in a completely restored and remastered edition that finally does justice in full to the incredible and futuristic visions of one of the most significant Italian experimental artists of the last thirty years. Unthinkable and apocalyptic sonic masses pushed to the extreme, an endless flux of strong emotions, a violent and devastating impact… Absolutely not to be missed. [label info]

Mind & Flesh -- "Martyr Generation" -- CD -- €11
2012 Force Majeure, Force 007, (ltd. 500)
"Martyr Generation" is the first CD by the Oslo / Norway based musician Anders B. under the MIND & FLESH moniker. While initial recordings of his first industrial band, KATABOL PROCESS were done in summer 1996, Anders started up to compose alone under the name BABYFLESH around October 1998. Starting from that point, two full-length releases were recorded and produced: "Curiosity killed the Angel", CD-R on Slaughter Prod. in November 2002 and "New wave of Cynicism", CD on Vendlus Records in February 2005. Sometime in 2010, Anders B. decided to change the name into MIND & FLESH as he lost any connection with what could refer to "BABYFLESH" as a name for a musical project. The nine tracks of "Martyr Generation" were recorded between 2005 and 2008. Among them two feature collaborations with other musicians. The music of MIND & FLESH is a mix of dark & heavy analogue electronics and pounding rhythms with processed vocals. His sound can be filled under the Death Industrial genre, without any doubt. Hypnotic and powerful at the same time... "Martyr Generation" comes in a nicely designed three-panel digipack in a limited edition of 500 copies [press-release]

Molnija Aura -- "Utopian Suns" -- CD -- €5
2010 Topheth Prophet, TP020
Molnija Aura is an electronic ambient/glitch project of Davide Del Col and Andrea Marutti. "Utopian Suns" is their debut album under this project and is influenced by the theme of old satellites floating around our planet... Davide Del Col started his solo adventure as Ornament in 1999, with the death-industrial oriented "Strychninlovenectar". His second work entitled "Adorers", was released shortly after on Oktagon Records. In 2000 came the self-produced "Unicorn Lullaby" (...re-released later by Afe...), his most oniric and beautiful album, followed by the abysmal "Yzaniaveis" in 2002. Ornament's latest release entitled "Effortless" was made available in mp3 format. This work represented a return to the project's harsh roots. Davide Del Col is now involved in an electro-experimental project called Echran along with Fabio Volpi (a member of the Otolab collective). Their first album was released by Ebria Records and Smallvoices in 2005. He is also taking care of his cosmic-influenced electronic solo project called O Diabo De Vila Velha... Andrea Marutti began his experiments with music in the early '90s. He is better known for his Amon and Never Known projects. He had several releases on Eibon, Amplexus, Silentes, Drone, Taalem, etc. He is also responsible of many other projects dealing with different styles of electronic music: Lips Vago, Wolkspurz & Ramirez, Spiral, etc. Recently he also started recording and releasing music under his own name, in duo with Nimh as Hall of Mirrors and again in duo with Andrea Ferraris (Ur, Airchamber 3, etc.) as Sil Muir. During the years he has published on his label - Afe - countless releases of electronic / experimental music created by a lot of italian and international musicians. [press-release]

After the post-industral / power-electronics "diversions" of hise recent collaboration with Pierpaolo Zoppo / Mauthausen Orchestra in "From Unhealthy Places", and "Forgotten Realm", the "second chapter" of the Halls of Mirrors projects with Andrea Marutti / Amon in dark ambient "territories", Nimh (Giuseppe Verticchio) returns as a "solo" artist in his newest "Krungthep Archives", rediscovering the sounds of his oriental ethnic instruments, collected in he Far-East, mainly in Thailand. The recordings of these "Archives from Bangkok" (the "City of Angels" or Krungthep in the local idiom) are often submerged with electronic sounds, drones, voices, urban noises, field-recordings, loops, rhytmic fragments, lively and dinamically reach sound waves. Otherwise, sometimes the traditional instruments own natural sounds emerge, giving life to suggestive and catching semi-acoustic soundscapes. New ambitious Ethnic-electronic-experimental evolutions stylistically located right among "The Missing Tapes" and "Travel Diary" previous CDs. All the contrasts of a geographical universe perpetually suspended between ancient cultures and an out of control modernism, perfectly translated in in music by a careful and sensible expert of those places and cultures. Nimh -- "Subterranean Thoughts" -- CD -- €3
2005 Silentes Minimal Editions, sme 0505
About one year after the release of The Impossible Days, Nimh (Giuseppe Verticchio) explores the innermost paths of electronic experimentation again with his new Subterranean Thougths. The album showcases a kaleidoscope of many different sounds, from the lysergic visions of Rewind to the cinematic suggestions of Recovered Memories, from the tight and dark atmospheres of Back to Laudomia to the ritual elements of Perpetual Cycles, from the rhythmic distorsions of Subterranean Thoughts to the hypnotic stasis of The Liquid Dream and the lyrism of the title-track reprise at the end of the disc. Nimh -- "The Unkept Secrets" -- CD -- €3
2008 Silentes Minimal Editions, sme 0718
After few months of distance from the escape of "The Missing Tapes" and the relative "Rework" by Aube, Nimh (Giuseppe Verticchio) sets aside the ethnic-lysergic visions that have characterized the previous album and continues along the distance of sonorous search and fascinating experimentation electronic, already undertaken with works which "The Impossible Days" and "Subterranean Thoughts", ulteriorly expanding just the range of sounds and instruments set, revealing the own "secrets" through new, dark but stylistically a unclassifiable CD, in which it arranges with extraordinary originality and in an absolutely personal and unknown elements of drone music, dark ambient, electronics, ritual, ethnic, field recordings, and enriching in particular every track with the recurrent presence of evocative sounds of electric guitar in varied filtered and elaborated way. The search goes on... [press-release]

Nimh & Antikatechon -- "Out Hunting For Teeth" -- CD -- €10
2013 Rage In Eden, RAGE 97, (ltd. 300)
I've got an email from Giuseppe with exciting information, that he recorded together with Antikatechon 49 minutes of sound. It was very intriguing. I haven't heard the music, but my imagination already started. What can we get from fusion of NIMH and Antikatechon? How does it sounds? Who has left the stronger imprint on this album? Is it compact or rather splitted into two different parts? Such questions absorbed my mind. Of course I will not answer now for all the questions, but this what I have listen have been successful beyond my dreams. Both acts are well known and critically acclaimed, and the union of musical sensivities of NIMH and Antikatechon made the album, which... [label info]

Nimh & Mauthausen Orchestra -- "From Unhealthy Places" -- CD -- €10
2009 Silentes Minimal Editions, sme 0932
The energy, the genius and the intransigence of the music of the hystoric “cult” power electronics project Mauthausen Orchestra/Pierpaolo Zoppo, united to the originalty, the eclecticism, the rigorous experimental research carried on since fifteen years by Giuseppe Verticchio, mostly with his “Nimh” solo project… Disturbing images of unhealthy places, nocturne landscapes covered with fog, psychotic nightmares, tormenting and delirious, described with sonorities of great impact and incredible dramatic force… A dark and long itinerary, to be covered wrapped in the spirals of a time that progressively seems to slow down and stop, folded on itself, just like suspended in the void, without offering any way out… A sonic adventure for brave souls… Elegantly packaged in a digipack. O Paradis -- "Llega El Amor, Asoma La Muerte" -- CD -- €10
2015 Dark Vinyl, DV66
Ô Paradis is the work of Demian Recio. Since fifteen years Demian is now creating a melancholic Mediterranean feeling in his music, free from all general trends and hypes. On this trip he met several artists (like Novy Svet, Val Denham or Thomas Nöla among others) and the result was a common cooperation and inspiration. If we understand the work of Ô Paradis as a long search for Demian`s own aim, we could say that his new creature "Llega el Amor, Asoma la Muerte", can be seen as his "Ithaca" or personal masterpiece. There are fresh new inspirations / directions in this album, but we recognize also a homecoming to his old love for Latin music and the melancholy of English folk music, but all under the gaze / banner of the death. Ladies and gentlemen, you are invited to participate: "La Muerte" (The Death) is coming with a smile on his face. [label info]

Objekt/Urian -- "Tonfragmente II" -- CD -- €12
2001/2004 Zone De Confusion, Z.D.C.01, (ltd. 1000)
First CD on Zone de Confusion, a subdivision of Nuit et Brouillard aiming at reissuing sold-out tapes, CD-R or vinyls previously released in limited editions. Objekt/Urian is a german duo working with selfmade instruments and old electronic material. Their music is a great mixture of dark atmospheric soundscapes and power-electronics with a strong old-school industrial touch at one and the same time original, melodic and powerful... Highly recommended to those who like bands like HAUS ARAFNA. Tonfragmente II includes the 5 tracks originally released on their debut CD-R plus 6 unreleased ones for a total length of 63 minutes. Their universe is cold, but never a depressing one and handled themes such as control and manipulation, information treatment, or some reflections on history - and even on own country history - have the ability to let feelings and thoughts arouse and to get matters reconsidered... The reputation of their live performances - combining music, theatrical elements and installations - went over the frontiers and the band was programmed at the fifth Deadly Actions festival in november 2002. Totally remastered sound from original recordings by Hermetique. Comes in special nice digipack with new artwork and selected varnished parts. Don't miss it… [press-release]

Oophoi -- "An Aerial View" -- CD -- €8
2008 Glacial Movements Records, WSGM001, (ltd. 750)
"When I’ve been asked to describe the Ice Age with an uninterrupted drone, I knew I wanted to avoid the cliches of the genre: dark rumblings, massive low frequencies, cold atmospheres. I had to describe with sounds the white landscape, the blinding light reflected by the frozen oceans, the abyssal silence. I have imagined myself in flight over this Sleeping Earth, a solitary winged-being surrounded by winds, air, water and ice. This led me to compose an airy drone with minimal variations and delicate tones, an hommage to a pure, incontaminated and remote land." [from the author]

Oophoi -- "Athlit" -- CD -- €10
2001 Hypnos, hyp2236
US - debut of Italian drone-ambient artist Oophoi. He previously released some well-received works on the Amplexus label, both solo and with Tau Ceti (who also contributes here). Many Hypnos listeners have asked for more deep, slow-moving ambient drone material, and if that style is your cup of tea, you'll love this one. It's just short of 74 minutes, one massive continuous ambience (though with four "index" points so you can navigate the CD more easily). There's space music and then there's DEEP space music, and this one is deep, deep, deep. Put on the headphones and drift... [press-release]

Oophoi -- "Hymns to a Silent Sky" -- CD -- €8

An album of epic, deep, evocative space music that stretches out in front of you in its own infinite universe of sounds. A remarkable work full of poetry. [label info]

oro!oro! -- "Sastingis" -- CD -- €10
2013 Autarkeia, acd 091, (ltd. 200)
The latest oro!oro! album is dedicated to the eternal winter. To the everlasting glacial stagnation. Just imagine it is one and the same season - the season of winter - all year round. That is the true core of the stagnation. Excessively deep meditative sounds remind ether, the habitat of spirits. Reluctantly you ask yourself if you are still alive? In terms of style, the album harks back to the cult ambient albums of Current’93. Those who still recall The Stars Are Marching Sadly Home may expect the same atmosphere. Perhaps now is the time when the waiting for the spring will never end? [press-release]

Sansernes Rus -- "Retrospekt" -- MC -- €5
2014 Blodrode Floder, 02, (ltd. 100)
Side-project of a member of the Danish duo Hvide Naetter. Unlike the main project where they don't hesitate to use powerful sonorities, here Jens Konrad puts an emphasis on more atmospheric music with field recordings, synthesizer lines and samples from movies. But just like in Hvide Naetter here one can also feel parallels with the classical industrial sound of late 80-s - early 90-s. Must be appreciated by the fans of quality-made old school!

Shift -- "Bulk" -- CD -- €5
2009 Silken Tofu, stx.10 / Unrest Productions, UNPRCD05, (ltd. 350)
After several tape, cdr and vinyl-releases, ‘Bulk’ is the 2nd cd-release for Shift and a somewhat different sounding disc in shift’s discography, because of its harsh and monotonous approach. Some thoughts about the album: “This is the material that is suitable to feel with gut wrecking volume in live situation. cranium crushing!” – Pasi Markkula (Bizarre Uproar). “Slowest shifting sounds of fuzzy static rattle, monotonic synth droning and pulsing, with massive tracks of very little happening. It’s as monumental as the cover design, featuring a monstrous concrete center. Grey and still. Designed to certain rough elegance, but not pretty … When you sit down to investigate the layers of sound and subtle details of crackling fuzz distortion, you start to notice all kinds of hidden patterns behind the ‘wall’, and subtance becomes more audible than in something that’s mere pedal distortion with no additional information to consume.” – Mikko Aspa (Grunt / Freak Animal). Or as one Unrest employee described it: “Like planets burning down or the day ten million tons of filthy black shit rained down on the heads of a beaten species”. [press-release]

Slogun -- "Visit Revisit" -- 2 CD -- €20
2011 Autarkeia, acd 070, (ltd. 300)
John Balistreri and his project Slogun are perfectly known to those interested in industrial subculture. This is the most famous American power electronics project, fully embedding the tendency of American brutal sound and ideology. Aesthetics of serial killers, mass murders, and crimes have been used to finely illustrate uncompromising tracks full of hatred against society, the sound of which had provoked the terrible thoughts of mass destruction. Previous tracks of Slogun used to carry the extraordinary straightness which is specific to almost all American artists of PE. However, his last two albums dramatically diverge from previous Slogun releases. The project's sound and ideology were visibly transformed by Balistreri, and they became closer to the European conception of the "PE sound". The straight, uncompromising brutality of Slogun trespassed into a gloomy atmospheric landscape, and the ideology of their last words clearly reveals the cause, this metamorphosis of a lonely, hopeless, trapped human being to uncompromising collector of human lives. These are authentic thoughts and memories concentrated to the cause of trauma rather than to brutal crimes. The last albums of Slogun may be seen as the deep-dark confessions of a person whispering to us his reasons of fatal breakdown, ending up in human hunting. The monumental Slogun Visit Revisit box will unlock to the audience both the primal and newly transformed sound of Slogun. The first CD, the album Visit, is absolutely fresh and contains never-before published pieces delivering the converted, atmospheric side of Slogun. The second disc, Revisit, compiles rare tracks previously published in limited editions for collectors, and represents the initial straight brutality the project is known for. The two CDs are wrapped in Autarkeia labeled slip case box including cover and informative 20 page booklet. [press-release]

Spanxti -- "Dheghom" -- CD -- €10
2011 Autarkeia, acd 068, (ltd. 200)
Lithuanian project Spanxti may be called a professional of post industrial scene, nevertheless that Dheghom is their first album. The new ambient/martial record is full of maturity and has a highly elaborated structure, dedicated to recall the atmosphere and gravity of ancient rituals. Every single track represents a separate ritual which is extremely authentic in the way it simulates rituals performed by ancestors in the past. They were created by the Indo-European tribes in Indo-European languages, i.e. ancient Iranian, Old Prussian, Old High German, Old Greek, Hittite and Gothic. It was strived to restore the authenticity of rituals by using the original actually witnessed scripts of ritual/mythological content, created in the ancient Indo-European languages above. All scripts are authentic, written down hundreds or thousands of years ago, and clearly represent the outlook of the ancient world. The title of the album is the reconstructed word of the Proto-Indo-European, which means “the earth”. The whole album is an integral ritual, consisting of a few smaller ones, and a certain attempt to experience the archaic spirit in authentic way. The album is released in 200 copies in four different package design versions. This is an absolute ambience of sound through the deep autumn. [press-release]

Survival Unit -- "Fentanyl Martyrs" -- 2 CD -- €20
2007 Autarkeia, acd 020
Survival Unit Fentanyl Martyrs 2-golden-CD box is the latest cultural terror attack coming from cultic non-compromising Swedish postmortem/power electronics project. This time an especially dreadful and relevant theme has been chosen for compromising the declared illusions of human civilisation. Both discs have been dedicated to Chechnya undergoing the total genocide, the total war where neither honour nor rules are acknowledged, except perhaps those of Marquis de Sade, who - bearing in mind the facts of this war - would have never imagined how far the fantasy of brutal people can advance in order to dominate, torture and control those resembling themselves [...] This time the album of the conceptual project Survival Unit - unlike the earlier albums contained in intentionally cheap, anarchistic DIJ aesthetics and packages - will be a posh release. A special 3-part digipack, 20-page booklet, 2 golden CDs and a special manually-made box will spit into the face of those mocking underground and the truth. Total dirt, horror, bloody audiovisual collages, non-compromising mockery of illusions: the TRUTH will be packed in special luxury. On the one hand, it is a real pity because this is the grand pre-funeral wake of the Survival Unit project. Yet, the legendary project leaving to Valhalla must be specially honoured. So, no wonder that the independent AUTARKEIA, which has previously buried Megaptera giant very solemnly, has been chosen for arranging the funeral. [label info]

Survival Unit -- "Murder For The Mission" -- CD -- €10
2005/2009 Autarkeia, acd 034
Although the cult album Fentanyl Martyrs embodied the death of Survival Unit project, the latter is toxic even while buried. The zombies are coming back. The new album Murder For The Mission is Volume 1 of old and very rare, almost unobtainable retrospective records of the Swedish cult project or the collection of cultural terrorism. The album Murder For The Mission includes both released and yet unreleased tracks from a few sessions. These are Vemod label's tape Murder For The Mission, a concert in Paris and the CDR Utan Fana released as very limited edition. So the audio terror goes on and those who believe that it has ended after the Fentanyl Martyrs act, now will pay the double price. The extremely aggressive psycho-powerelectronics shock full of hatred and insane samples will get them. [press-release]

Survival Unit -- "Thought-Trigger-Target" -- CD -- €10
2001/2009 Autarkeia, acd 040
Here is one more masterpiece of Swedish cultural terrorism supplemented with new material and re-released in the golden collection of cultural terrorism series. If compared with the most aggressive albums of Kristian Olsson’s gang Survival Unit, this one is perhaps more atmospheric than openly destructive. Yet, like all other Survival Unit’s diversions, it is pervaded by the black social despair, hate towards human civilisation and the lies it spreads about the reality. It also conveys the position of a person developed in the violent world, i.e. violence against violence for violence. Resistance to everything and anything. Life and its meaning in a nihilistic fight against the surrounding fake reality. This album is a gloomy insight into the future that awaits us all and a fine lesson showing us what stands at the end of the Scandinavian idyll. The album is released in a very elegant digipack with an embossed cover. [press-release]

Tied Down For Survival is a old/new blow from the Scandinavian cult project Survival Unit to the rotten cancer of Western civilisation and the second collection of rarities in the golden collection of cultural terrorism series. This is an exceptionally suggestive, psychedelic power electronics with deeply terrorising implications. Here you will listen to unreleased live records, passages from limited edition utan fana and the controversial conspiracy theory of Rolf-Peter Andersson, where Swedish monarch family, Indira Gandhi and Mikhail Gorbachev practice cannibalism. Survival Unit -- "Will To Zero" -- CD -- €10
2002/2009 Autarkeia, acd 039
Will To Zero is the third part in Survival Unit’s golden collection of cultural terrorism series, actually meant for crippling as many people as possible without a hope of recovery. Daresay, that all in this album serves for the attainment of this purpose. The duration of esp. aggressive and deranged tracks exceeds 15 mins. Very straightforward sound, often reminding the invasion of rats, crushes the minds of all calibres. Do you believe your nerves are strong enough to take this? Then read the title once again and then go buy medical insurance. Zero chances to withstand. But those who do, will surely require medicines for the rest of their lives. Trepaneringsritualen -- "Veil The World" -- CD -- €10
2011/2015 Cold Spring, CSR205CD, (ltd. 1000)
"All seals have been broken" proclaims a demonic voice on the titular track of Veil The World, and that is something terrifyingly evident in the music contained therein. On Veil The World, Trepaneringsritualen veers from crepuscular ritual moods to rabid death chants revealing, even celebrating the imminent end of flesh. Veil the World - originally released in a very limited and ultra-lavish box by Kosci Tapes in 2011 - marks the half-way point between the earlier, more atmospheric works of T x R x P, and the more visceral aggression of the later material... Trepaneringsritualen explores themes of religion, magick and the hidden realms of consciousness, taking its musical cues from the old school of ritual ambient & death industrial. Rhythmic and seething at times, and oozing forward with a creeping sense of desolation at others, Trepaneringsritualen conjures forth bleak but mesmerizing visions of the end-times... Originally released in an edition of just 40 tapes in 2011, we're very proud to announce the CD reissue of "Veil The World". Remastered and presented in a 6 panel digipak, T x R x P once again assert themselves as the true masters of Swedish Ritual Industrial. Ltd x 1000 copies only. 2013 Autarkeia, acd 090, (ltd. 200)
A new project of a certain Lithuanian and we breath with relief that not all is lost on Lithuanian industrial scene. Not everyone is biding their time in the piss rotting with the glass of beer in their hands. Velemara sound quality shows that there still exist people who invest a lot of time into the music equipment. Very responsive Velemara sound takes you to a phantasmagorical world of dusk. At times, the atmosphere is futuristic and militaristic, and then again so mystical as to evoke interesting associations to the audience. The style of music makes one infer that the author has indeed heard NTT, Nordvargr and MZ412 projects. In broader terms, Velemara offers a remarkable solid Scandinavian-type sound and a black industrial atmosphere. [press-release]

Recorded in 2010 in Khibiny Mountains, this album contains four tracks of mysterious field (?) recordings, out of which only the last one can be defined as made near a railroad. The other three impress by monstrous primitive shamanic-primeval noises and rattle and fat static ether radionoises. Total minimalist and absolute suppression of harmony. [Abgurd]

The long awaited tribute to Russian futurism and such a flagship personality as Vladimir Mayakovskiy. The tritube was created by the musicians from Russia and Italy - the countries that most actively manifested themselves on the path of the Futurist movement. Unlike many compilations dedicated to the Futurism, we won't hear waves of abrasive noise and distorted rumble, but rather enjoy a glass of wine and feel inspiration from the elegant pop music and decadent rock, diving into the age of the avant-garde spirit and revolutionary art. AIN SOPH, ANENERBE MUSIC CLUB, CINETECA MECCANICA, ШРКЪ, SPIRAL69, TEATRO SATANICO, TORCH PROJECT, SPECTRE. Digisleeve with an 8-page booklet. [Ufa Muzak]

V/A -- "Zvukolan: atmosphere, landscapes, strategy" -- CD-R -- €6
2005 Strely Peruna prod., SP 015, (ltd. 222)
Strely Peruna prod. present the anniversary compilation with projects that supported label in it's 10 year activity with their creative work. The idea of label is spreading the pagan weltanschauung, leaving behind the standards in art perception and liberation from the dogmas of surrounding reality. Geographically this compilation covered North, Centre, Ural and South of Russia which allows to see both common and distinct features in creative landscapes of our Earth. The participants are: Unknown, Hum, Sunchariot, Kromeshna, Lunar Abyss Deus Organum, YAO 91404 D. UNKNOWN (Moscow) is a project of Dmitry Shilov who started his activity in 1996. He released several works on Strely Peruna prod. and claimed himself as an adherent of veda wisdom and search of light in the darkness of the present. Dmitry creates profound and meditative ambient landscapes in which he combines his outlook and great cycles of Nature. Dmitry also took part in a project called Medve Na Veche - the debut release of our label. HUM (Fryazino, Moscow region) - one of the oldest Russian projects working with analogue technology of tape loops. His compositions are very deep and sensitive. The atmosphere of Hum can be compared with a walk in autumnal forest. Dmitry Chistov (Hum) took part in a project Off The Cuff released by Strely Peruna. SUNCHARIOT (Rostov-on-Don) originates from the pagan-metal band gradually reduced to one-man project - Denis Shapovalov. Zoroastrian cult and religions of the Sun are the main inspiration sources for Denis. Minimalistic dark ambient sound of Sunchariot - magic rituals of Sun and Blood. KROMESHNA (Kamensk-Uralsky, Ekaterinburg region) is a young project of Vitaly Maklakov from creative union "Ostroga". Enigmatic ladscapes of Ural, laborious work of Nature, mountain ranges settling down into twilight - all this (and something more that is hard to describe) found it's reflection in music of Kromeshna. LUNAR ABYSS DEUS ORGANUM (St. Petersburg) focuses attention on karelian-finnish shamanism and nothern folklore through the prism of ambient culture and industrial constructivism. The leader of LADO - Evgeny Savenko - also had a project called Koivunmahla released by Strely Peruna prod. YAO 91404 D (St. Petersburg) is a young but promising project absorbing the aesthetics of revolution, labour cult and heroic spirit of industrialisation. Danil Dashkevich (YAO 91404 D) successfully cobines hard psychedelic atmosphere with industrial noises and pagan music primitivism. This symbiosis creates really unusual and emotional ritual/industrial mystery. All projects presented only exclusive tracks for this compilation. The release comes in non-standard handmade sleeve with 6 photos. [label info]
