Good evening everyone! Spring finally pervades our minds and bodies, vital forces wake up from hibernation and prepare to bloom in full power. Just take a look at a concert list for the coming month - at least a couple of gigs every weekend! One of the most important events for us is the traditional COSMONOISE festival, which is going to happen on the Day of Cosmonautics - April 12th. This time it will feature performances by two Moscow-based projects - CISFINITUM and SAL SOLARIS, - who play in St. Petersburg quite rarely. A company for them is provided by the ever-present psycho navigators GOVORIT RADIO "KOSMOS" and the visual magician VJ Yuri Elik. If you're somehow around, try not to miss! But this is only in a month. We are happy present to you new CD of this wonderful Italian band. And now a best time for it, because their quiet melancholic music will be perfect introduction for imminent autumn season. "Chamber Music" was recorded 10(!) years ago, and it was the work that brought the group to a contract with Cold Meat Industry, but not released till this time due to copyright problems. All lyrics are taken fro James Joyce's collection of poems called 'chamber music'.To release this work was only necessary the permission of the actual copyright owner, Joyce's nephiew Stephen. This permission was denied in the past even to bigger artists as Kate Bush. It was clear then, that there was no other possibility than to write new lyrics and record all vocal parts again. Here under the base of "Chamber Music" was borns "as you're vanishing in silence" - CMI/2005, which got many many positive feedbacks. Words are not enough to describe the visceral feelings that Transformalin delivers, but this sound-therapy will cure your soul or make you total sick! This project’s sole member is Nattramn, whose ‘Death—Pierce Me’ album under the project name Silencer stand as defining work in the suicidal black metal movement. Diagnose: Lebensgefahr is significantly different from either, though, and should not be considered a black metal album as such. For the first time this album blew up the world in 2007 and now it's still one of the most interesting works on current scene. Transformalin is a bleak voyage through related genres, particularly dark ambient, power electronics, martial and noise-influenced industrial, with black metal serving as the filter that taints and completes them. Consequently, ‘Transformalin’ is a jarring experience that can be harshly rhythmic at one moment and the next dive into unmetered, dragging ambience, while still others draw on martial cadences and horn reveries that echo in the background. Though mostly instrumental, he does provide ‘narration’ from time to time with primarily clean vocals that range from manically impassioned to psalm-tone catatonia. Last years it became extremely rare album and now, 5 years later, this black pearl is available again! This time with the expanded booklet on 16 pages which was specially developedover by the well-known artist Costin Chioreanu (drawing for Grave worked; Darkthrone; Demonical; Aura Noir; My Dying Bride; Arcturus, Trencadis; Arktau Eos and many other). A project by Sergey Suhovik (Exit In Grey, Sister Loolomie, etc.), this time detouring from processed field recordings towards the arsenal of concrete objects. The instruments were record player, radio, metal, wood and stones. All came out into 4 long pieces with hypnotic textures painted by seemingly familiar sounds, but often twisted in spiral coils, sometimes going into the realm of ultra low frequencies, sometimes stretching to dark resonating spaces.

Second album of this Russian chtonic ritual project. From the very first minutes the listener gets sucked into a tight cavern of ventral saound, in a foggy veil of which one can feel rhythms, splutter of mouth harp, flute and guitar howls and mutter of endless incantations. Sometimes the texture of sound becomes more clear and spirits manifest themselves from emptiness, but mostly the matter flows like dense jelly and all images come out of focus. Recommended to the lovers of dark ritual psychedelia.

Kalte Traurigkeit ('Cold Sadness') is a Canadian project from Eric Labrie and Mireille Tessier. Neoclassical / darkwave / dark ambient, layered with operatic female and brooding male vocals. Originally started by Eric alone, "Equilibrium" took 2 years to complete, during which time he welcomed in mezzo-soprano singer Mireille Tessier. Mireille brought new ideas to the music from her influences, chant experience and her talent, which transformed the project's approach to music to a more tangible one. "Special travelling self-release Sevastopol - Kerch - Volgograd, November 2014". Four copies of disc made specially for sale at a Lunar Abyss gig in Volgograd on 29.11.2014. The disc contains the recording "Concerts Mixture 10-11" previously released on a cassette (BioSonar^Lo-End 010), with handmade artwork of colour cardboard and stickers. The oroginal label info about "Concerts Mixture 10-11" says: "Side A: Consistent mix of live recordings from 2010-2011 captured with a microphone of Zoom H4 recorder. Fluent waves of chtonic sound and subterraneat industrial dark ambient turn into hypnotic loops and concrete acoustic pieces. Side B: Live mic with the materials provided by the projects Ogni Videniy and ZHA, recorded from a mixer to one track. Continuation of the series of collaboration live recordings. This disk presents a fragment of a pu-erh session in Zanza-room on the night of December 13th, 2014 with minimal editing, in one track. The sonic flow is formed mainly of analogue modulations with hybrid processing and flavoured with strings, winds and voice. On a winter night with a teapot of pu-erh we remembered everything about mosses and lichens, night swamp fogs and former trips, and made the wishes for the future, twisting potentiometers to the beat of thoughts. String drones and bell chimes turn into atomized analogue crackles and rustles, sometimes pink noise and timbral waves blend in multi-layered cocoon of moss. Recommended to listen on wideband audio systems as well as in earphones, and if there's a chance to use both at the same time - surely use both simultaneously. A new full-length album of one of the most notable projects in the Russian post-industrial scene. "Nachtleid" is the second part of a planned trilogy, first one was album "Tenebrae" 2011, joint release with Sal Solaris. Recorded "Nachtleid" attended by 13 musicians - piano, guitar, violin, viola, cello, clarinet, flute, trumpet, oboe. And well known band Reutoff play as guests on album. Those who have been following the work of Majdanek Waltz, usually notice evolution of their ark, complexity of the structure of the compositions, strength and mature of reflection, the depth of sound, all this quality increases from album to album and not an exaggeration to say that with "Nachtleid" group revealed deeper their potential. "Nachtleid" in a good way very cinematic album that draws more than hour-long picture, which we hope will please fans of the band, as well as us. First (un)known as Sinneskross in 1994 and later reborn as Trencadis, Nattramn formed this industrial ambient project in 1995 and recorded one demo in Ljungby roughly a year after it's birth. The demo was dubbed onto tape and given only to a handful of individuals in the Black Metal underground at the time. "Ödelagt" consists of one song recorded in Mono under rough circumstances. Although Trencadis have been slumbering for 16 years it remains relevant as the beginning of Nattramn's artistic and spiritual journey. The music could be described as watching over a cold desolate landscape while musically grounded in the sounds and atmospheres of artists such as early Mortiis and the ambient works of Burzum. The cd comes as a digipack and is limited to 300 handnumbered copies and will never again be re-issued on compact disc. Mastered by T.Lilja, layout and artwork by Nattramn and Costin Chioreanu. Turman, Robert -- "Way Down" -- CD -- €10

Originally released as a small run cassette in 1987, only to fall into tape label obscurity, Robert Turmans industrial genre-bending masterpiece album Way Down finally has been excavated for a proper vinyl reissue after twenty-three years in the shadows. This album solidifies Turman as a cut above the rest with respect to his talent and his natural ear for experimental composition. Turman first came onto the industrial scene in the late 70s as the ominous other half of legendary noise outfit NON, alongside Boyd Rice, together releasing the now classic first NON single, Mode of Infection/Knife Ladder 7” in 1977. After parting ways, Turman went on an excursion of self-released cassettes to which he fused every possible influence at his disposal, culling together past habits of experimental know-how and going forward into uncharted terrain. After his previous experimental efforts included on his Flux release in 1981, and even later in the prolific Chapter Eleven boxset, Turman turned the tables with the creation of Way Down, using synthesizer arrangements and drum machines alongside guitar solos, piano chords, tape loops and primitive sampling to create a whole new concoction of dance-like minimal synth blended together with the industrial darkwave noise he was mostly known for. After almost vanishing from the music scene, Turman resurfaced in 2005, teaming up with seminal noise musician Aaron Dilloway to not only reissue previous recordings, but to record and perform once again with new releases out on Hanson and Medusa. This reissue of Way Down serves as the blueprint of what Turman sought to render as a very accessible minimal synth/industrial album, yet keeping it just obtuse enough to make it one of the most brilliant and engaging albums to be ushered into the canon of 80s experimental culture. Intonema releases VA AA LR album (Vasco Alves, Adam Asnan, Louie Rice)! "Polis" is the documentation of an audio installation which took place in the streets of Porto, in Portugal, late May 2014. Polyrythmic compositions were prepared by the trio, combined, and relayed via a car sound system, in various locations across town. These were recorded and then mixed with the source material, cross-referencing it with the sound as was altered by the situation. [label info]

Velvet Condom the amazing French-Berliner duo creates a unique aesthetic of cold synth wave with elements of rough, but melodic post punk and shoegaze; with a very contemporary feeling the band ends up with one sound for themselves. 'Stadtgeil' their second full length album is an urban romance that mixes danceable electro-wave elements to darker experimental ones ingeniously. Cyber Muzik for urban Metals! This album starts very powerful with its noise-pop anthem 'Funeral For Love'reminding some new-gazers as A Place To Burry Strangers with an irresistible cocktail of machines echo drowned guitars and dreamy vocals. Then comes the sick and dark groovy 'Menace', the listener immediately get hit by its martial drum machines mixed with some industrial sound samples а la Depeche Mode (Construction Time era) joined by a droning fat Bass line. This song has nothing to compare with; let's call it a grave rave masterpiece, gloomy and funky and the same time. After this menacing sophisticated trip the album shows us a more danceable and fresher side with the electro-wave hit 'Rouge City'catching one with an awesome in-your-face French touched bass sequence followed by Nico's suave and melancholic vocals sounding like cybernetic sadness. Following is the surprisingly Italo-Disco influenced song 'Ice Disco', cold and danceable: that's apparently the bands recipe, and it works perfectly! The ьber-sexy 'Faint-Hearted'is a brilliant psychedelic-garage- glam track and takes you again by surprise with its heavy Glitteresque guitar riff. This leads us almost to end of these 9 breathtaking songs with 2 remarkable down-tempo pieces: 'A New Fall'a beautiful touching dreamy wave ballad and the very David Lynch-Nick Cave like 'Scars Shine'that majestically closes the album and leaves us totally numbed by the diversity of its emotions. It is astonishing how much work was put into that recording, you need several listens to get every subtle precious detail. [Infra Rot]

New album of the Siberian industrial project, inspired by the books of H.P. Lovecraft. A blend of industrial and dark ambient with trademark Zinc Room sound: harsh metal percussion (liner notes mention spiral springs and steel slabs) and roaring bass guitar mixed with thematic samples, synth pads and a bit unexpected cello intrusions. "Sueсos" ('Dreams' in Spanish) was originally released in 2001 by Cold Meat Industry's imprint Cruel Moon International. This remastered edition contains the bonus track 'Melisanda', which appeared on the rare split 10” with Engelsstaub "In Amoris Mortisque" (1995). "Sueсos" is a collection of songs with different styles, themes, with different historical backgrounds and recorded with the use of many acoustic instruments. Divided into three parts, the first (‘Ego Promitto Domino’) features lyrics inspired by journeys and memories of middle Eastern lands. The sounds are between neoclassical, orchestral and dreamy Mediterranean ambience. The second part (‘L’ame d’eau’) is entirely based on Medieval ballads for acoustic instruments and 2 vocalists. The Third part (‘Sandy Dunes’) is more intimate and meditative, once again the theme is the one of water linked to the female soul: The voyage through the sea, regret, the need of the sea, just for Francesca’s heavenly vocals. Technically the quality of recording isn't that high, but the atmosphere doesn't become weaker, on the contrary, with this kind of monolithic sound material this only adds some true liveness and rawness, this even resembles some kind of chtonic interpretation of the music from Finnish label Aural Hypnox. The last track with its crazy exorcist samples only adds a couple od drops of insanity to the overall gloomy picture.

A very anticipated release from one of the best Dark Folk bands! Neutral was founded in 1993 by a singer and composer known as ASH, later Evgeny Voronovsky (Cisfinitum) joined the band. Literally every song of this project features delicate guitar and violin tunes, touching lyrical images and deep vocals. Neutral have never released too many albums, actually their recordings are big rarity... Aside for some demos and mini-albums, during the 20 years of existence only 2 studio albums were recorded: "...Of Shadow And Its Dream" (2004) and "Serpents In The Dawn" (2008), and also 2 live albums: "Walpurgis Night At Luisen Kirche Koenigsberg Live" (2000) and "Luisenkirche, Konigsberg" (2006). And if "Walpurgis Night" was released twice, in 2000 and 2008, "Luisenkirche, Konigsberg" was kind of lost in the history. It was published in 2006 by a cult and now deceased German Dark Folk label Eis Und Licht, but only on CDr/DVDr limited to 35 copies, which were actually sold out immediately. There was also a CDr version without bonus video, but those 100 copiesalso quickly found their places in cozy collections. After that the original masters were lost and we spent almost 2 years trying to find them and luckily we made it! Now this recording is reissued on factory pressed CD and DVD packed in heavy digibook, and light remastering work was done by Peter Andersson (raison d'etre)... Despite the work we've done, the new release is also limited to just 99 hand-numbered copies! [press-release]

"Barren Land" was the second full-length release from Northaunt (originally released 2004 on Fluttering Dragon). Recorded 2002-2003 in Spitzbergen, an island in the arctic region north of Norway; a desolate place that inspired the most arctic album by Northaunt. "Barren Land" is a masterpiece of nature-inspired ambience; a release that returns the listener to the icy floes of Norway, not only figuratively but also literally, with samples woven into a poignant ambient work that is a worthy heir. Seeking to underpin humankind's intrinsic relationship with nature, the music delves far more than simple reverb and endless drone; melodic guitar performs contrapuntal to glacial drifts groaning as giants, evanescent lisps of male and female voice grace the skies like aurora, plaintive piano swirls in the eddies of gelid and industrial storms. As the title suggests 'Collected Works' is not an album with new material of raison d'etre (Peter Andersson). It is a collection of tracks from between 1999 and 2010 that has appeared on various compilations or other external projects. Suprisingly, despite the collection fact, these tracks form together a unity like if they were material for a conceptual album and presents a memorandum of a past.Death, decay, melancholia and sadness is the common attributes and this is also beautifully rendered in the images by Martin Bladh (Irm, Skin Area) used for the artwork. Velehentor however, deserves a separate theme, this Ural collective, possible to name one of the most interesting post-industrial collectives of Russia. Since the basis in 1998, by mastermind and the unique constant participant, 121 (CLOSING THE ETERNITY; VALHALLA), they have let out 11 albums. VELEHENTOR never had accurate stylistic frameworks, it Dark Ambient; Industrial; Harsh Noise; Power Electronics; Ritual; Drone Ambient; each album is unique and distinct from another, but VELEHENTOR, is always recognised, on unique sound and absolutely and precisely verified concept. Sounding gets out according to a theme of albums. Each album VELEHENTOR is devoted any defined, to event, a place or the phenomenon, with an ominous shade, poisonings with the Siberian ulcer; nuclear bombardments; terrorism; dead cities in zones of ecological disasters; cases of poisonings of one people by others; war; the cities-phantoms left by people; mass suicides and inexplicable, mysterious cases destruction of people - as on albums 'Dyatlov Pass' which we pride represent! Now, the album is available for the first time in the full version, on 3CD: CD 1 - Dyatlov Pass; CD 2 - Man-Pupy-Njer (Velehentor/Ad Lux Tenebrae); CD 3 - Otorten. It's released in beautiful 6 panel digipak, limited to 493 copies only!... "Dyatlov Pass" has been recorded in 2002, it scale record consisting of 2х long, nearby-hour tracks one of which has been written down together with "Ad Lux Tenebrae", and 9 short compositions. In 2003 without the permission of the authors, the first track has been published in a cd-r format, limited in 121 copy, by a piracy label 'fight music' and stood out for a high-grade album. The edition has been instantly sold-out, has received huge quantity great and enthusiastic responses, and till now it is considered one of the best drone ambient works from Russia... [label info]

Since 1998 year Von Thronstahl, led by the founder and leader Josef M. Klumb, remains to one of most appreciable and interesting groups on martial industrial/neofolk scene. The Days Of The Trumpet Call, it's neoclassic project by Raymond P., the musician of the Von Thronstahl.This split, is devoted the Portuguese poet Fernando Antonio Pessoa (1888-1935) and Romanian philosopher Emil Michel Cioran (1911-1995), their writings are used as lyric for this album.The melancholic neoclassics from The Days Of The Trumpet Call and probably strangest of all records Von Thronstahl where they balance on border between neoclassics and ambient, with a light touch martial and all the same, beautiful and charismatic, Josef's voice.
