Apart -- "Across The Empty Night" -- CD -- €10
2008 FinalMuzik, FM11, (ltd. 500)
APART is the music project by Francis M. Gri, “Across The Empty Night” is his official debut, though he already released a few private demo CDs. Francis has been member and co-founder of well-known ethereal Italian act ALL MY FAIT LOST, until “In A Sea, In A Lake, In A River...” band's official first release. His debut album develops into new influences and sound structures. The songs alternate male (by Daniele Stefanuto and Alberto Milani) and female vocals (by Viola Roccagli of All My Faith Lost...), building a bridge between the past ethereal music sounds and a new somptous identity. Fans of obscure dark and etehreal sounds, cloudy postrock and of course "All My Faith Lost" music will 100% love this album! [Old Europa Cafe]

Banabila & Machinefabriek -- "Petrified Minds" -- CD -- €10
2012 Lumberton Trading Company, LUMB022 / Tapu Records, TRBOP 21, (ltd. 300)
When Michel Banabila and Rutger Zuydervelt (Machinefabriek) finished their first collaborative album, it felt like they were just getting started. Suprised by how fluent and natural their collaboration went, it was obvious that this wasn’t over yet… While "Banabila & Machinefabriek" was quite an abstract affair, it’s successor, "Travelog", is lighter, playful and rhythmic. Some moments might recall the mighty Tape, while others showcase motoric krautrock influences and subtle hints of African rhythms. All in all, this album clearly radiates the joy of its creative process and sees Banabila and Machinefabriek on top of their game. "Travelog" comes housed in a full colour digipak, graced with photography by Michel Banabila, designed by Rutger Zuydervelt. [press-release]

Bolverkstorm -- "Ewigkeit" -- CD -- €6
2014 Valgriind, VG54, (ltd. 500)
Martial \ Neofolk. "On the second album "Ewigkeit" Russian project Bolverkstorm presents the continuation of the sonic pictures of "9 Steps To Death" depicting the sensory perception of a white warrior's death, soldier or officer, in significant military conflicts of the historical realities. The breath of project - is pagan death in a battlefield, a clear derogation of the christian image of death of "those persecuted to death". May it be a mass massacre of people masses brought to war by the rulers, or a death of a volunteer warrior from a piece of metal, love and contempt for life at the same time - "der letzte sieger ist der tod". The eternal spirit of war burns the wicks of people fates, the fight for higher ideals borders with death - but the fates of those contempting death spark brighter. From the deep roots of antiquity to the young branches of modern weltanschauung - this spirit is constantly whispering to us over the clank of swords, rumble of cannons and rustling bullets..." Coil / Nine Inch Nails -- "Recoiled" -- CD -- €10
2014 Cold Spring, CSR193CD
“Recoiled” is a rambunctious alchemy, of magikal Coil sensibilities and hi-tech home circa 90’s mixing technique, all fused in the cave-like early studios of Danny Hyde / Peter Christopherson. These were the unrestrained PRE- BIG studio- mix downs, of four songs which long time Coil admirer / collaborator Trent Reznor requested Coil to remix. Reznor sent over the original multi-tracks and DATs to Hyde / Christopherson, who independently mixed versions and then met to synch both creations, molding them into these master versions. ”Recoiled” includes a fuller, more opulent version of the track ‘Closer’, which eventually made it onto the opening credits to the movie “SE7EN“. These 5 lengthy compositions (just under 40 minutes) are pre-Ableton / laptop generation type priest song creations, with the use of baby alarms and numerous wires to create bespoke effects. These legendary tracks were always rumoured to exist and, only the due diligence of a dedicated NIN forum who hunted them down, are released/unleashed for your listening pleasure. 4 of the tracks were released on the download-only “Uncoiled”. A bonus, previously unheard track from the same sessions closes the album. Jhonn Balance is also manifest on this gilded constellation. Beautifully remastered. [press-release]

Hati -- "Ka" -- CD -- €10
2009 Eter, etcd10
If you ever saw HATI live you know how intelligently contrived their compositions are - their vast array of ethnic instruments (mainly gongs & other metallic ones, but not solely) is controlled by them in a very professional way; and the dynamics between between softer and more spheric gong or metal parts and more rhythmic & ecstatic ones are perfectly set. These are studio-recordings made in August 2008 in Torun, Poland, their hometown. On eight pieces their totally handmade instrumental sound is spread far to create very versatile material. Seen as contemplative ritual music or focusing just on the beautiful sounds of real instruments, this is a perfect start to enter the HATI-universe if you don't know them yet!! [Drone Records]

Maaaa / K2 -- split -- CD -- €8
2011 Triangle, TR-47, (ltd. 300)
New compositions by a Warsaw couple and a Japanese surgeon are presented on this 50-minute album. The couple buzzes using the synthesizer Korg MS-20 and the Polivoks, and they clink damaging iron pieces and coil springs. Dr. Kusafuka keeps handling his stylus like a scalpel. Having decided not to employ metal garbage, he turns to extensive use of his analog synthesizer Korg MS-20 and the soft version of it for Nintdedo DS, creating loud and sharp pieces of work reminiscent of a surgical knife cutting flesh. All in all, be prepared for the heavy analog modulations, drilling feedback, rich bass, pulsations, biting high frequencies and the hazardous loudness of the record. Harsh Noise. Edition 300 copies in a package with 8-page booklet. [label info]

Oda Relicta -- "Ukrainian Insurgent Army" -- CD -- €10
2012 Old Captain, OCS, (ltd. 200)
Oda Relicta’s “Ukrainian Insurgent Army” is a union of politics, religion, and music. The controversial agenda of the recording is exposed through 13 connoisseur compositions ranging from military marches to solemn chants to field recordings featured by a rank of artistic collaborations with While Angels Watch, Furvus, :Golgatha:, Dissonant Elephant, Lonsai Maikov, Gnomonclast, Luftwaffe, and Our God Weeps. A complex tapestry of church hymns and procession marches, Cossack patriotic chants and Legion of Ukrainian Sich Riflemen songs is the spirit of a true Ukrainian nationalist. There is no abuse of hackneyed documentaries or copycatting of profane neo-folk genre; instead, there is harmony, passion, and wisdom conserved in laconic sonorities. Triumphing over double standard European political correctness this milestone is released exclusively upon the 70th anniversary of the UIA, celebrated on the 14th of October, 2012. Edition of 200 copies in 4 panel Digipak. [press-release]

raison d'etre -- "Mise En Abyme" -- CD -- €12
2014 Transgredient Records, TR-10
Transgredient Records is very proud to release the newest studio-work by this well known Swedish ambient industrial project, continually re-newing the dark ambient genre since 1992. "Mise en Abyme" is the first raison d'etre studio album in over 4 years, following a very special "initation concept" with an emphasis on the experience of sequential psychological states with cathartic effects - diving into the deepest regions of the subsonscious in order to return with a fresh and 'empty' mind. All the previously beloved elements of raison d'etres music are here: spacious deep drones, touching sacral choirs, ritualistic sounds from gongs and bells and other awesome integrated field / object recordings - all impressively enhanced to reach a new level of masterful atmospheric composition. Moving from dramatic tension and threatening uproar to meditative beauty, this near hour long album reveals various changes and details, while always sounding monolithic (all of one piece), expressing almost unbearable sensations of melancholy, vastness and contemplation. The idea behind this album, in the words of the artist: "'Mise en Abyme' is an inner journey down to the most hidden and dark parts of the Self. 'Mise en Abyme' literally means 'placed into the abyss' and conceptually the album contains ingredients from 'The Divine Comedy' by Dante or any similar stories/myths around the katabasis theme. Instead of being linked to religion, history or morality, it is purely a psychological and therapeutic trip to the underworld, investigating the subconscious. But even in the darkest and chaotic places in the depths, there are small shades of light, hope and understanding; one can be enlightened and purified upon returning to the conscious world." Reutoff & Sal Solaris -- "Eigengrau" -- CD -- €13
2014 Cyclic Law, 65th Cycle, (ltd. 500)
Joint release by Russian post-industrial projects Reutoff and Sal Solaris. The working title of the record is «Beyond the principles» and refers to the psychoanalytic concept of inner human life guided by two principles; that of reality and pleasure. The sober, cold cosmic ambient of Sal Solaris expresses the principle of reality that restrains the drive of our wild souls while the emotionally rich and turmoiled post-industrial of Reutoff matches with the impetuosity of human desire. Does the domination of these principles mean that a human creature is crucified between the desire and impossibility of its realization? This album taken as a whole is a hypothesis, that there is a place where a person can be free from itself. With our eyes closed we behold the inner utterless "intrinsic grey", Eigengrau, that shines beyond any principles. Edition of 500 copies in Foil Stamped 6 panel Digipack with 4x12" poster. [press-release]

Sashash Ulz -- "Chtenie" -- CD -- €10
2013 Fourth Dimension Records, FDCD79, (ltd. 300)
Following two now impossible-to-get cassette album releases, Chtenie, meaning ‘reading’ in English, is set to be Russian artist Alexander Shevchenko’s debut on CD. Comprising improvised organ and guitar pieces with field recordings and a warm, natural and earthy feel that falls somewhere between a soundtrack to a lost ’60s mystery film and the notion of the lone busker playing mildly jaunty, yet generally disturbed, melodies to the mostly bemused townsfolk. Packaged in a fold-over card cover and limited to 300. [label info]

SoonDook -- "Black Record" -- CD-R -- €6
2013 Heart Shaped Box Prod., HSB-070, (ltd. 20)
Experimental electronic / Noise. For anonymous compositions, the author has covered a lot: experiences and emotions, delivered in difficult life situations. While listening to the album, there is a feeling that the author wants to tell a lot, but keeps the listener in a sort of bewilderment. Abstract veiled language narrative forms characteristic author's handwriting. Pro-CDR, 20 copies. [label info]

Ultrapolyarnoe Vtorzhenie / Ryr -- "Supreme Penatly of Decreation" -- CD -- €6
2014 Valgriind, VG 52, (ltd. 500)
Martial \ Ritual Noise \ Ambient. "This is not a usual split-album. This disc is a kind of report material and a transitional moment. It contains both old compositions, previously released on compilations and albums in their original variants or in those versions waiting for their hour in projects' archives, and also completely new material. 14 mantric hymns directed to the nameless and speechless Gods dwelling out of limits of atomic lattices, 14 steps to the pedestal with a cup full of burning wild foreign flames lit by ancient Titans from the rays of the Black Sun. A travelogue and a map of a pilgrimage to the borders of the conditioned and finite world." [press-release]

2014 Old Europa Cafe, OECD 189, (ltd. 400)
For those (few) who don't know Reutoff: they are one of the more prominent and intriguing Russian Post-Industrial Ambient projects. The album, celebrating the bands 16th anniversary, consists of remixes and cover versions on original Reutoff tracks, made by bands / projects / friends, whose music has always been close to the band. Most of the contributors created their tracks using original Reutoff material, some of them were just inspired by Reutoff's music, others tuned in with their own sound and the track with Deutsch Nepal is an entirely team-work piece... "The "Eidolon essence" is a reflection: there was a time, when we absorbed, we were imbued with the images of the Tribute participants. Their music and their impressions on their own epiphanies were interpreted in our music. Now it's their turn, we came to full circle and the phantoms are granted with new lives. We are grateful to every each and one of you, you did your best. A special thank you goes out to Oleg Pashchenko for the Cover Art. His flair is as brilliant as is his genius" (Reutoff). Avrorin. Most of his works have their own recognisable sound, namely dirty, disharmonic and aurally disgusting. ALISA-YHTYE is not an exception and represents junk industrial mixed with scrap noise. Nevertheless it sounds very noble and traditional, the listener immediately feels the atmosphere of late 80-s - early 90-s. Sluggish hardly heard noise is interlaced with metal gritting and percussion. Feedback whistles quietly, and G. Avrorin leisurely emits another cloud of cigarrete smoke. Noble old school industrial noise. [press-release]

Aube -- "Le Syndrome Aquatique" -- 2 CD -- €13
2008 Silentes, sme 0721
This is the long awaited reissue of one of the best Aube's work originally titled AQUA SYNDROME, published about 10 years ago by MANIFOLD records. The new reissue included the original album with a bonus track and a bonus live CD. LE SYNDROME AQUATIQUE is an impressive job of deconstruction and resetting of sonorous material to work of Aube, this particularly extended in the duration, treaty and expanded time, much to be proposed in a rich edition in double CD. Through sophisticated and very tested technical of sonorous rework assembled in years of untiring activity in a searching experience, Aube puts molding on and models fragments of concrete sounds of "aquatic" derivation transforming them in unknown drones, noises, pads, loops rhythms-mechanics, constructing a fantastic sonorous tapestry of valuable invoice and incredible impact, and unavoidably bringing back to the memory the first three CD constructed with single water sounds of the monumental one box of 12 CDs proudly published from Amplexus more than 10 years ago. One new unforgettable work for all those who love, and has loved, the avant-guard-istic sonorous experimentations of large the great Japanese master. [press-release]

Aube -- "Metal on Metal" -- 2 CD -- €13
2008 Silentes, sme 0722
Another long awaited reissue from Aube. METAL ON METAL (as for AQUA SYNDROME) was published by MANIFOLD records. Also for this work, over the original album, you'll can hear a bonus track and a full live CD. To the discovery of the alchemical secrets and the magic of the metallic materials, of their acoustic characters, and the possible technological manipulations on the sounds that are possible to pull out... It arches of it resonances, mantric vibrations, hypnotics bells rings... That features of sounds of cymbals, plates, rings... that tubular elements are used or more ordinary and simple metallic objects of common use... that they are bowed or scraped..., Aube acquires the sounds and of it transforming its essence... decomposing and recomposing the shape... Fragmenting, expanding, stratifying and elaborating the sonorous matter, constructs complex wafts, resounding weaves carpets, interlaces thin threads of metallic tensions, crumbles and agglomerates acoustic particles, leaves to flowlong, reverberating, harmonic drones... "Metal on Metal", two only, fantastic CD for and a matchless release. [press-release]

Bianchi, Maurizio / M.B. -- "Computers S.p.A. / Com.SA" -- 2 CD -- €13
2010 At War With False Noise, ATWAR077, (ltd. 500)
Second in the At War series of early CD issues of tapes by noise legend MB. Both these albums are lofi, featuring very primitive use of synthesiser, tape loops and tape manipulation. There's a real charm and otherwordly feel to them, There's something very precient about MB's explorations into the computer world with his sounds on these records, particularly given the nature of most modern noise music and how nobody still has managed to replicate the feeling of his early works with the technology available. As ever, highly recommended to all with an interest in noise music and it's history. [press-release]

DS Matter -- "Harmonia" -- CD-R -- €7
2009 Abgurd, AB-51, (ltd. 100)
After releasing two albums (Untitled and Pinky Lips) this project of Denis Shapovalov (SUNCHARIOT, ADRIVA, ENMERKAR) added two symbols to its name and one album two the discography. "Harmonia" is an oversimplification of frequencies or "supercompression" as an interpretation of author's point of view on the nowadays digital mastering in the mass-music that makes the final mix sound unified. The album presents only saturated frequencies on rise and fall. This sort of averaging allows disclosing new aspects of pure acoustic sounds of glass, plastic, wood, metal recorded with microphones and digitally processed. The album contains three long meditative tracks in a sophisticated electroacoustic manner with interesting variations of frequencies and warm droning backgrounds. [press-release]

First Human Ferro -- "Ferrari" -- CD-R -- €7
2002 Soulworm Editions, Worm XXVIII, (ltd. 250)
The industrial spirit is still alive, and for those in doubt here is the album that proves it. First Human Ferro proceed with radicalizing their sound, and compared to the their previous album on Soulworm this one is much more harsh and uncompromised. To lighten up the riot, crushing rthytms and straightforward noise bursts have been crafted – no bitching! Political, commited, yet unlike a pile of power electronics rednecks, intelligent libertarian message is an itegral part of the concept – not just an image. And it keeps them real, which is oh so rare nowadays. [press-release]

First Human Ferro -- "Homo Shargey" -- CD -- €10
2011 New Nihilism, NN VII / Requiem Records, RP 33/2011 / Triangle, TR 046, (ltd. 500)
Alexander Shargey (also known as Yuriy Kondratyuk) is a representative of passionate enthusiastic inventors who put their lives at stake to accomplish the mission for the future good of the whole mankind. Shargey belongs to a cohort of scientists who were the first to foresee the space conquering. They were great yet mocked-at dreamers and had to fight against all odds twice as hard. Shargey is a "recognized" space theoretic of unique unconventional genius. The name of a self-made engineer since decades has become well up to par with famous scientists like Tsiolkovskiy, Tsander, Korolyov... Ukrainian First Human Ferro project led by Olegh Kolyada pays a long overdue tribute to its compatriot composing a well-crafted vintage dark ambient album with both poignant and mesmerizing layers of sidereal voyage... Homo Shargey was pre-mastered by Italian ambient magician Vestigial. The packaging consists of a luxurious A5-sized digipak with silver finish and gloss varmish, conceptually designed by Marcin Lojek at Ibsen Design. [press-release]

First Human Ferro -- "Metaballistik: The Voyeur And His Infra-Red Insekts" -- CD-R -- €7
2001 Soulworm Editions, Worm IX, (ltd. 100)
Coming from the area known of the infamous Chernobyl nuclear plant's disaster, the musicians behind first human ferro seem to be inspired by the tragedy and its aftermath that is to be seen all around them. A sound they create drowns in an eerie atmosphere of abandonment and decay. Cold, hollow ambiences based on a solid foundation of noisy electronics that bites your frail skin as unseen roentgens of radiation do. First human ferro becomes one of the most recognized industrial music outfits from Ukraine. 'Metaballistik...' is the second, and the best of their recordings to date, being released by several labels simultaneously, on various media formats. Of course, the Soulworm's version is a special one - as it contains additional tracks and exclusive artwork. [press-release]

The album was recorded in 2004-2010 and featured by collaborations with Claustrum, Oda Relicta, and Louisa John-Krol. Designed by Marcin Lojek the release is limited to 500 copies in a digisleeve. Genetic Transmission -- "Rondel Pelen Lajna" -- CD-R -- €7
2003 Soulworm Editions, Worm XXXVI / XV Parowek, XVP27, (ltd. 100)
Tomasz Twardawa is a living legend of the underground industrial scene in Poland. Since the mid eighties, he has taken part in pioneer projects as TKT, Godzilla and a few more, introducing noise and power industrial aesthetics into the numb, self-proclaimed 'avantgarde' crowd, stimulating its development with his uncompromised, radical approach. His main brain-child, Genetic Transmission, with numerous great releases under belt, proves that his flame still burns. The album presented hereby is a bruitist construct of thoughtful, detailed electroacoustics with a remarkable musique-concrete edge and composition methods that are completely unpredictable, yet consistent. Sound is the matter. [press-release]

Government Alpha -- "Impregnable Storm" -- CD-R -- €7
2009 New Nihilism, NN VI, (ltd. 250)
It's impossible to get a clue about Japanese noise phenomenon without mentioning Yasutoshi Yoshida, the man responsible for numerous extreme music gems such as Government Alpha, S.Isabela, Detroit Core etc. and surely the kingpin of the renowned Xerxes label... Govt. Alpha's mission started in 1992 as a natural conclusion to Yoshida's urge for expression through the art, deliberately in it's terminal form. While incorporating all that awesome elements of Japanese noise sound, Government Alpha suddenly developed its own trademark sound—abstract yet seductive framework of multilayered feedback, mangled distortion roars, wild editing and manic signal processing that takes an assault on your ears with no holds barred... Tokio's wildest, Government Alpha proves it again on Impregnable Storm, an album scheduled for NN so long ago... And worth to wait for, hands down! This is extremely brutal, loud and harsh. This is the passion. This is sexy. This is Government Alpha... Once again the packaging consists of an A2-sized, offset printed poster folded to form A5 sleeve housed in crystal celar plastic wrapper. Limited to 250 hand numbered copies, get yours just now. Juhning, Herz -- "Miasma" -- CD -- €15
2009 Galakthorrö 024
After Herz Jühning has whetted the appetite of so many listeners with his Faces EP, Galakthorrö now is proud to be able to present Herz Jühning's first Longplayer. On Miasma he combines the kinetic energy of Power-Electronics with favourite ingredients from the witches'cauldron of Angst Pop. You will hear brutal bass-drones, nasty electrified currents, pumping analog rhythms and eerie frequency modulations. The sound elements have been ruthlessly selected to emphasise the reductive characteristics, and brought together around the incisive vocals to form an homogenous and complete work of art. Whether ailing popsongs, aggressive noise-attacks, or ominous sound experiments, all is artfully united in the 13 songs found on Miasma. Once more it is Jühning's no-frills arranging technique, that shows itself to be so highly effective on Miasma, just as it made Faces so successful. There is much to discover and Miasma will take the hearts of its listeners by storm! How could it not? CD in matt finish digipac, 16-page booklet incl. lyrics. [press-release]

Lonsai Maikov -- "From the Fountain" -- CD EP -- €7
1993 Cauda Draconis, NA024CD
The debut mini-CD of a French project Lonsai Maikov, 6 tracks lasting for about 19 minutes. Utterly dark apocalyptic neofolk music.

Lonsai Maikov -- "Our Lady of the Bones" -- CD -- €10
1995 Nuisance Auditive Pour Akta, SIS 114CD
Second album of Lonsai Maikov is quite an experimental one. The instruments seem to be similar to other dark-folk bands (acoustic and a little bit of electric guitars, percussion, keyboards, etc.), but all the melodies are somehow crooked, and this creates a very unhealthy atmosphere intensified by really dark vocals. One can say there's more 'dark' than actually 'folk' here.

Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio -- "Four" -- CD -- €13
2007/2012 Raubbau, RAUB-004
Historically, released in 2007, 'Four' was the EP interlacing the last two albums Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio put out on Cold Meat Industry, and an augury of the popularity the band would subsequently achieve with their quality blend of neofolk, martial industrial and melodic compositions - and the first time Tomas Pettersson would use his distinct voice to sing rather than recite. 'Four' constituted the first output on the Raubbau label, and upon its release the original vinyl picture disc edition almost instantly sold out. So it comes as no surprise that there has been a high demand to make these tracks available again to Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio’s ever-growing following, and Raubbau now gives in to public interest and presents a fully remastered and largely expanded CD version of 'Four' incl. remixes by Mikael Stavöstrand, Empusae, Arcana, Thirteenth Exile, Fredrik Leijström, Tarmvred, Genevieve Pasquier, Xotox and Spiral69! 'Three Times Four' sets a fine example of what a re-release/remix album should be about, adding surprising new aspects to the basic material. The approaches applied by the remixers are quite diverse, nevertheless there is a constant level of quality and originality that ensures a coherent, satisfactory listening. See, there are really more than just four shades of darkness! [press-release]

Pale Roses -- "The Rutted Road" -- CD -- €10
2012 Ahnstern, Ahnstern 49
The Rutted Road is the the third album by French Neofolk band Pale Roses, following Fear Of Dawn (The Eastern Front 2010) and Unveiled (Rage in Eden 2011). Basically, the music remains the same: pastoral guitar arpeggios, melodic bass lines, a bit of piano. However more percussion and sound effects than in the first two albums. Lyrics are a tribute to some historical places (Bedlam and Tyburn), to a few of our favorite authors (The Infidel is inspired by Ambrose Bierce’s Devil’s Dictionary, From The Ancient Woodland by Robert Holdstock and Sea Horses by WH Hodgson; Ancient Mariner, though inspired by ST Coleridge, is not an Iron Maiden cover) and to pagan beliefs and various elements of folklore. Per Aspera -- "Nil Desperandum" -- CD -- €10
2008 New Nihilism, NN V, (ltd. 500)
The third and the most complete release by one of the most tallented ambient artists hailing from Poland these days. Unifying vast array of elements, Per Aspera once again achieves remarkably introvert but vibrant style. Eerie industrial atmosphere seamlessly blends with serene harmonies of almost orchestral form. Cinematic, monstrous drone formations morph into pulsating abyss of dissonant disturbances and uncompromised sonic experiments, overlaid by subtle beauty of human voice and minimalist acoustic instrumentation. All those skillful, multiformal explorations establish Nil desperandum one of those albums of complex yet stable musical concept—reflecting the incoherencies of human nature and its immanent affection to chaos and order merged together. Per Aspera tends to render tragically compound heritage of the mankind, being constantly shaped by cultural, ethnic and religious or ideologic discrepancies. Definitely not your average dark–ambient buzz, this album stands out of the dull cliche. The sound may appeal to the admirers of T. Köner, Parca Pace, Nocturnal Emissions or Neubautens to name a few but still, expect no pattern follower. Complemented with special A5–sized glossy digipak designed by Ibsen studio, this CD is limited to 500 copies only. [press-release]

Sva Battalion -- "Der Stahlheim" -- 3"CD-R -- €8
2007 Strely Peruna, SP018, (ltd. 38)
SVA BATTALION is a project from Moscow suburb Krasnogorsk and this is it's debut release on STRELY PERUNA label. This album is dedicated to the German militarized ultra-nationalistic and pro-monarchical organisation "Der Stahlheim". Created in February 1918 by veterans of the 1st Worls War, "Der Stahlheim" had real influence on the politics of Germany during the period of Weimar republic (1919-1933), despite it's semi legal state. In March 1932 one of the founders and leaders of the organisation - Deusterberg was nominated for election to the president's post and gave his voices in favour of Hitler. During the Third Reich "Der Stahlheim" was disbanded and it's members joined another organisation - "National-Socialist League of Former Servicemen". In 1951 "Der Stahlheim" was resurrected in it's former state. SVA BATTALION represented his own vision of the atmosphere and Spirit of this organisation. A blend of distorted heavy-electronics, low droning bassground, sounds of destruction and archive recordings belonging to the history of "Der Stahlheim" will gladden true lovers of heavy electronics / noise extreme! Besides, this release is supplemented by a provocative visual multimedia part. The material has been created without attempts to be politically correct and exaggerating imperial ambitions. 38 copies in black cardboard handmade package in special black sleeve. [label info]

Thighpaulsandra -- "Chamber Music" -- CD -- €10
2005 Lumberton Trading Company, LUMB002
When asked to describe Thighpaulsandra's work to somebody recently, it was difficult to find the rightwords to serve any justice. Perhaps the best thing to therefore do is simply respond by illustrating this highly accomplished and visionary musician has been known for his assistance with groups and artists as diverse as Coil, Spiritualized and Julian Cope as much as his own albums during recent enough memory. The album he has recorded for LTCo, 'Chamber Music', certainly compounds matters, too. Combining musiqueconcrete, quasi-dimensional electronics, ravaged hums, atmospheric tones and allmanner of different instruments nodding into focus, it's his most cohesive work todate. To simply declare it the result of an active imagination would still fall far short of giving it enough credit. Active imaginations have, after all, been known to deliver much less than a solitary Thighpaulsandra track. [label info]

Troum -- "Tjukurrpa (part two: drones)" -- CD -- €10
Transgredient Records, TR-01b
This part two is dedicated to "drones", presenting five highly atmospheric and droning tracks ranging from minimal to monumental sounds, from dark ambient to more ritualistic areas: these are drones to loose your rational mind in. The music on Tjukurrpa II is made by loops based on metal-sounds, percussion & other more obscure sources, as well as mouth-organ, choirs, guitars, and effects. [press release]

Troum -- "Tjukurrpa (part three: rhythms and pulsations)" -- CD -- €10
2003 Transgredient Records, TR-01c
Dronecore. This is the third part in Troum's Tjukurrpa-trilogy, following part 1 (harmonies) and part 2 (drones). This final part is dedicated to "rhythms" and "pulsations", with a focus on rhythmic, pounding, looping & repetitive elements and structures. With Tjukurrpa 3, Troum shows a not so well known side, using the trance-power of repetitive textures. In every of the seven extensive tracks (playtime 66+ min) rhythms in various moods build the basis: from smooth ambience-pulsations over ritualistic surroundings up to ecstatic pounding harshness, from underneath & soft pulsative patterns up to evolving harsh & overwhelming rhythmic loops. The music on Tjukurrpa 3 is made by raw & processed loops & handplayed percussion, along with electric guitar & bass, balalaika, mouth organ, male & female human voice, flute, and accordeon. No samplers, synths or computers used. [press-release]

Winquist Virtanen -- "Dead Last" -- CD-R -- €7
2002 Soulworm Editions, Worm XXXIII, (ltd. 100)
Bleak. The word might have been overused, but this new album from Swedens Winquist Virtanen entitled Dead Last is the very definition of that word. Some call it dark ambient, some call it isolationism and some call it the soundtrack of hopelessness, but regardless of which description you deem most fitting, this album is bound to send you looking for the razor blades and erase what little remains of your will to live. "Dead Last" follows in the steps of its predecessor "All Hope Is Gone" with it's combination of dark, slowly evolving drones and the cold reverberations of metal against metal, but takes it one step futher to an even colder, more desolate domain of absolute darkness. Through the course of its 50 minute duration it offers no escape, no relenting and no hope, only desperation, fear and hopelessness. [press-release]

YAO 91404 D -- "Coal" -- CD -- €7
2011 Valgriind, VG 48
Pure old school industrial with raw tape sound. Two long soundscapes made of roughly recorded industrial and machinery noises (sometimes coming to the levels of power electronics), metallic percussion and sampled fragments of Soviet movies and gramophone records. Sonic flow in mine worker's mind suffernig from long sleep deprivation and claustrophobia in heavy conditions of work below ground.

YAO 91404 D -- "Yuksporryok" -- CD-R -- €6
2011 Valgriind, VG 46
Recorded in 2010 in Khibiny Mountains, this album contains four tracks of mysterious field (?) recordings, out of which only the last one can be defined as made near a railroad. The other three impress by monstrous primitive shamanic-primeval noises and rattle and fat static ether radionoises. Total minimalist and absolute suppression of harmony. [Abgurd]
