Akpan -- "dBal-phur bond-pa" -- CD-R -- €8
2012 Strely Peruna, SP024, (ltd. 50)
First part of the demonic trilogy of the black mantras on authentic language of demons of lower and upper worlds. Half-hour ceremony of wrathy flow of consciousness in unclean outer world and purification to emptiness. In the recording were used authentic Tibetan ritual instruments and industrial metal pipes and surfaces, throat and guttural singing. Artwork utilizes a piece of decayed rags from a burial and sang, also analogue mastering was made in special days of the year. [from the author] Stylistically the recording is not close to the authentic Tibetan ceremonies (like it is with Phurpa project), in this case this is rather a view of tradition through the prism of post-industrial and noise music - which doesn't prevent it from being convincingly grim. Recording features Sergey Gabbasov (Vazhes, Bardo).
Alio Die -- "Deconsecrated and Pure" -- CD -- €13
2012 Project, PROJEKT270
Deconsecrated and Pure is an evocative liturgy from the realm where electronic music meets acoustic drones, found objects, sacral voices and field recordings. Italian ambient-acoustic sonic sculptor Stefano Musso returns for his first solo Alio Die release on Projekt in 20 years. Don't get the idea he's been on vacation, however! Since 1992 he has released 37 collaborative CDs and 19 solo CDs; this makes Deconsecrated and Pure Alio Die's 20th solo release! Welcome back! The processed traditional instruments and natural textures float alongside rich electro-organic drones, creating a perfect introspective soundtrack with a medieval and sacral atmosphere. Serene and meditative textures combine in a chorus of circular and interwoven sounds, reflecting the harmony of the cosmos as an opus of inner stillness. Processed and layered into the mix are vocal pieces by Claudio Merulo. The work of this 16th century Venetian Renaissance composer was performed by Paolo Tognon and Quoniam Ensemble di Dulciane and De Labyrintho Ensemble Della Rinascenza, creating the essence of a historical religious feel. The gradual evolution of the arrangements create a strong impression that the listener has been carried across time and space. Elements such as sonically-tampered Middle East horns (The dulciana, a sort of early basoon/oboe), solemn atmospheres of the courts of the Italian Renaissance, and evocative soundscapes cosmic and ethereal combine for holiness and trascendence. To create this work, Stefano selected fragments of sessions recorded with the acoustic instruments, modifying them through multi-layered loops. Pitch and frequencies changed, effects were added, other sound objects were played and processed into the mix. This was further augmented with the electronics and field recordings adding more layers metamorphosizing the whole atmosphere into a deep trance mood. What makes Alio Die's compositions glow is the attention to detail and fluidity; something from the background floats to the foreground as it is slowly modified, or perhaps it's the gentle addition of a bagpipe or stringed instruments. It all intertwines through constant modulation, addition of atmospheric sounds, and re-contextualization. Marvelously floating and hauntingly expressive, Deconsecrated and Pure feels like a liturgical poem within an archaic mausoleum distorted by time. [press release]

Elaborated electronic treatments applied to sounds and noises of a concrete nature, field-recordings, drones, electronic hisses, shaked metals, cracklings, human and animal guttural cries, synthetic pads, ethereal and undecipherable voices, mechanical loops, noises from the everyday life… An incredibile and unpredictable sound universe without borders and without time... Sounds like a soundtrack for a Soviet movie from 70-80ies, when the composers plodded away at the "wonder-machines" creating with electronics something that should be performed by a whole symphonic orchestra. Should we add how ridiculous sometimes sound these synthesizer experiences?.. This pomposity of the music and its "artificiality" create cinematic effect. Music is filled with melancholic moods inevitably bringing associations with autumn... Like an old Soviet movie where everything happens in autumn and the final scene shows a far away going alley covered with yellow leaves. a golden road to infinity - darkness - credits. [Abgurd]
Der Tod Und Das Madchen -- "d-Moll" -- CD -- €10
2012 Lichterklang, LK007, (ltd. 300)
DER TOD UND DAS MÄDCHEN started out in 2009 finally presenting their debut now. The album „d-Moll“ is a musical anthology of long forgotten lyricists, longing back to the death of Goethe. The elegies all evolving from the 19th century reveal the sadness and the pain of the loss of close relatives. Melancholy and transience, deathwish and madness, dream and reality cristalize themselves out of these thoughts and build the centre of „d-Moll“. The area of romanticism, especially the so called black romanticism, focusses around these motives that are now being displayed by the album. Inspired by componists of the romantic times the extinct poetry is based on the dark and melancholic tunes of a piano, „Du Verwaistes Haus“, based on a composition by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, being the only exception, standing out as an example for the decline of that classical epoch from it’s instrumental basis. C.P.E. Bach was regarded to be the umbral composer even during his lifetime by the veracuty of his father. The closing words by the German imperator Wilhelm II. from 1904 build the end of the album, questioning the human arrogance with his words „the world is so big und we are so small, how come that we expect to circle everything around us“. After two years the "Bee Cult Priests" return with the new mystical message for the humanity, hidden under a laconical name of "Deii". "Deii" is a double CD release, each containing 16 tracks filled with fabulous atmospheres, shamanic incantations of astral creatures, touching fantastic sounds and beautiful soul relieving melodies. This brilliant work carries the listener's spirit up to the times of the Renaissance, an era of triumph of Light, Spirit and Sense. Dvar -- "Fayah!" -- CD -- €10
2009 Art Music Group, AMG 338
Art Music Group presents the 8th full-length album of the Bee Messiah. After the incredible success of last year's album "Zii", the masters of Russian electronic occultism come back with the new portion of schizophrenia! Traditionally they come back in the time of spring flare... What should one expect from the album with an exotic title "Fayah!"? Academically speaking: 12 killer compositions on the edge of 8-bit "darkwave", "fantasy HELLectro", "dwarf synth pop", "nintendo baroque", "arcade psychedelia" and "gothic dancehall". As usual - eclectic syncretism, madness, magic and surprises. In one word - lightwave! It's pertinent to note that DVAR hasn't sounded so harsh and paranoid since the times of "Taai Liira". Fayah! Dvar -- "Zii" -- CD -- €10
2008 Art Music Group, AMG 324
New Image. New Style. New Album. If there's a project in the world that could be simultaneously described as "gothic", "avantgarde", "fantasy pop" and a good dozen of other terms, then it's only and exclusively DVAR. The project of anonymous musicians led by their supernatural nurser carries its message to the people for already 7 years. The members of DVAR who never before showed their faces now have come before the audience. However, only in the form of... anthropomorphic bees. Who knows, maybe they really look this way? A renowned Russian comic painter Lumbricus Terrestris has designed the whole cartoon-comic concept for the new album perfectly depicting the music of this period. And the music presented in "Zii" is as much modern and actual as "swanky getups" of the three insect characters. The compositions of this album balance on the edge of "psychopathic darkwave", "avantgarde chanson" and surprisingly the most fashion trends from the world of glamour pop music. As always, the new album surprises with unexpected stylistic moves and sonic findings. However we can say that "Zii" crossed a kind of Rubicon and penetrated the world of really accessible musical forms, although being no less expressive. Like always on the recordings by DVAR, the atmosphere of songs ranges from bright to scary and even frightening. The abundance of all kinds of xylophones, harpsichords and children's organs this time is woven into groovy deep rhythm section which gives sunny fervour and dancefloor drive to the compositions. We should also mention that the album is dedicated to such a sad event as "mass destruction of bees by Varroa mite". [press-release]

Dying Passion -- "Amplify" -- CD -- €10
2012 Epidemie Records, EPR 076, (ltd. 300)
Amplify is a well-knit album integrating elements of moody post doom metal, dark psychedelic and tender ambient. The multi-genre inspiration leans on the brilliantly mastered vocal of the singer Zuzana Jelinkova, who gently floats through delicate dreamy passages and energizes the listeners during the hevier rock parts by her clear vigorous vocal which is able to effortlessly transform into harder mode. Amplify is a compact unit where nothing is lacking nor being redundant, everything fits perfectly. The lively melodic riffs lightly turn into ambient passages sometimes with almost trip-hop feeling and other way around. Dying Passion don't restrict themselves to the standart instruments completed with electronics and on Amplify you'll be able to hear violoncello, violin, trumpet and the album is wrapped by a tender children's vocal. Released in beautiful 6 panels hand numbered digipack in edition of 300 copies. [press-release]

Fescal -- "Two Winter Poems" -- 3"CD-R BOX -- €12
2012 Dronarivm, DR-06, (ltd. 100)
“Two Winter Poems” is an uncommon musical illustration of Alexander Pushkin’s well-known poems “Winter morning” and “Winter evening”. An almost transparent, aquarelle of sound may truly be called a realized dream of Kazimir Malevich: white on white. The familiar poetical images show through the mantle of snow or of music, over a field powdered with snow a distant echo of chimes blends with a long-drawn-out roar of the wind. Night follows day, darkness follows light, and “through the frost the greenish fir-trees are exposed, and under ice, a river glitters”. This continuous motion represents life itself. Life as a miracle which inspires Fescal today, and once inspired one of his favourite poets... The EP box contains one 3"CDr, an illustration by Mark Coates, completed in December 2012, which captures the magic of a Russian winter; the silent snow fall, the crisp air and thick snow on the ground, a small plastic bag containing bush twigs from which Korean traditional tea can be made (needs to be boiled for about 30 minutes – smells wonderful and tastes lovely and you’ll need a tea pot with a strainer to serve), one small 9.5 x 9.5.cm polaroid photo of a statue of Alexandr Pushkin taken by Sergey Klochev and a small age-old folk page booklet about the EP along with a few extra whatchamacallits thrown in for good measure. Each box contains something unique and individual. [label info]

Music that smells like a man! “I play Hirsute Pursuit at all of my DJ gigs” (Peter Christopherson) “Tighten That Muscle Ring” features collaborators such as Bryin Dall of Thee Majesty, Boyd Rice of NON and Sleazy of Coil / Throbbing Gristle. The music is real. The sex is real. Created by Harley Phoenix and his musical partner, Bryin Dall, this is Gay Sex Music that offers no apologies. Enticing rhythms combined with raw sex and a commanding, deep, resonate voice, Harley has transformed explicit instructions for serving his pleasure into a musical orgy that hits the gay community where it plays, the dance floor and the bedroom. Sleazy dance beats pound along at tempos that encourage carnal exploration, while sounds of ecstasy cannot be ignored... Without any publicity or releases, Hirsute Pursuit has had over 140,000 plays on Myspace in less than a year! Drawing fans from all musical genres, including House, Country, Rock, Hip Hop, etc. Primarily attracting a gay audience, recent fans also include female dominatrixes, middle-class housewives and straight guys (as is evidenced in the video, Boys Keep Swinging featuring Boyd Rice and James Pope, both straight). The raw sensuality has now crossed over into the heterosexual domain. This is music you can fuck to, as well as bump and grind. Comes in a 6-panel digisleeve. [press release]

2012 Dronarivm, DR-05, (ltd. 75)
A man is walking across the desert with memories of the sounds where he has come from, of what he has left behind. Crossing the arid landscape, he listens to those sound images, he is haunted by them, he superimposes them on the present and brings them with him toward the future he is making for. Step by step, he uses this confrontation to reinterpret his memories and to finally attempt to grasp the music of the desert... Debut CD by Philippe Lamy (Nowaki, Audio Gourmet etc), painter and plastics technician, teaches the plastic arts to the school of architecture of Toulouse (France). He has exhibited his artwork across Europe. He began to work with sound too around ten years ago, feeling that his paintings and music resonate together. His careful attention to texture and detail is something he has carried over from his experience as a painter and has transferred into his work with sound. Packaging includes 3 inserts with fragments of Philippe’s paintings. [press-release]

Majdanek Waltz -- "Stille!" -- CD -- €10
2012 Nadeln Prod., NaP.V
"Stille!" opens the new chapter in the history of Majdank Waltz. The outlines of terra incognita have appeared earlier on the album "Tenebrae" recorded in collaboration with Sal Solaris, where the classical neofolk form was changed to disturbing noisy fusion. "Stille!" moves even further, away from the utilized territories. At first glance everything is deceptively semi-familiar, but nothing is predictable. It's not possible to predict neither the curve of melody, nor the neighbourhood of a violin and a deaf wall of guitar rasp. And also, the most important here are not the sounds, but - as the title says - the gleams of silence between them, which speak much more than music. "Stille!" is a walk in a garden of ruins, where around every bend hides someone's forgotten dream, "a grief at the bottom". The lyrics used on this album belong to Nietzsche, Tomas, Rilke, Blake, Celan and Clemm. [press-release]

A cold summer night at a cosy campfire that makes us forget the wind, and then... The sun rises behind enigmatic ancient rocks on the sea coast, the sound of drums, from the distance the wind carries an accordion, and then, guitars follow the rhythm, we stand up and start to sing... There is a new hope for neofolk! Forseti will, unfortunately, never come back. Darkwood or Sonne Hagal only release something new every once in a while. But, the longing for pure, original and fresh folklore is now being answered. Osewoudt come from Holland. Osewoudt: Straightforward melodies, martial drums, mellow accordion, strong, male vocals, dreamy and bold acoustic guitars. Their mixture of intense songs, passionate and poetic lyrics, raw and sober song structures, alluring melodies and their devotion to the sublime, this is exactly the kind of neofolk we have all been waiting for. Free and unbound, upfront and untarnished their strongs evolve slowly, become stronger and will never let you go in the end. May this day never pass. The day that brings us such music. 2000 8th Moon Art, 8M-CD-02, (ltd. 100)
This disc combined quite strange diverse visions of experimental sound. The first theme starts with ritual bells and slowly shifts into free-jazz mumbling. Before you understand what's going on, you get into a minimalistic environment of the second composition, dark but flashy in its harsh regularity, gradually fading in radionoises again giving room to "space" ambient with concrete noises and singing of a Lapland shaman. Strange monologues. "Oh, traveller, are you here - asks the voice from the depth - unseen insects swarm in plications of tectonic layers, ancient rhythms of ancient tribes living here some days, ancestor spirits gathered to play their otherworldly games". Fifth theme starts with blues fingerplays and ends with metal clatter and blood-curdling screams, throwing out the listener under hooves, on a rail-track or under feet. Rain. All recording is too subtle for a concert, it's possible that these thoughtforms continue to live in listeners' minds. Cover features graphic work by one of the authors. [press-release] The release features three bonus tracks from late 90ies Sadogipnoz archives.

Severin, Steven -- "Vampyr" -- CD -- €10 [-50%]
2012 Cold Spring, CSR170CD
Following on from 2010's ‘Blood Of A Poet’ (CSR135CD), Steven Severin presents the third score in his ‘Music For Silents’ series. Acclaimed solo artist and founder member of the legendary Siouxsie And The Banshees, Severin presents a mesmerising score, heightening appreciation of the surreal and enigmatic nature of the original work. ‘Vampyr’, Carl Theodor Dreyer’s unsettling tale of fear and obsession, finds its aural counterpart in Severin’s textured score; a synthesised, highly atmospheric soundscape drawing the listener rhythmically into the story. Shot with a silent film aesthetic despite being within the sound era (and a year after Lugosi starred in Universal’s ‘Dracula’), ‘Vampyr’ is an alternative take on the cinematic vampire, creating an intense, nightmarish atmosphere that haunts the mind. Presented in a textured card sleeve with artwork by Arban. [press release]

The Skull Defekts -- "Open the Gates of Mimer" -- CD -- €12
2005 aa, AA04, (ltd. 500)
Open the Gates of Mimer includes a single, 55-minute track documenting The Skull Defekts' live set at Sweden's 2005 Norberg Festival. Featuring core members Henrik Rylander (ex-Union Carbide Productions) on electronics and drums and Joachim Nordwall (ex-Kid Commando) on guitar and effects plus Thomas Ekelund (electric guitar) and Lasse Marhaug (Powerbook G4), the group generates a monolithic noisefest of incinerating feedback and raw guitar fuzz. Violent ripples and tears collide with deathly guitar stabs, conjuring apocalyptic images of charred bodies strewn across immolated landscapes. Opening rather tamely with guitar stabs puncturing the silence, the piece grows progressively noisier, especially during the last third when even hounds from Hades appear. Issued in a limited run of 500 copies, the disc comes packaged in a distinctive hand-printed and numbered cardboard case covered with Constructivist graphics. [textura.org]
Squadra Omega -- "s/t" -- CD -- €10

Squadra Omega sounds like an old drunken kosmik orchestra mixed with the noises from a 56k modem, with all the influences that they brought inside the project, they know exactly where they come from but don’t know where they are going, each time is different. Zinc Room -- "In Wooden Room" -- CD -- €10 [-50%]
2012 Evil Dead Productions, EDP 009
Fifth album of the Siberian project Zinc Room shows further development from the realm of deadening distorted industrial noise to the depths of dark ambient and death industrial, continuing the line started on its previous work "Shifting Soil". The author utilizes wider pallette of acoustic elements: voice, mouth harp and sounds of soil, branches, stones and glass, which brings more ritual atmosphere to the album, still sometimes he plunges everything into the electrolysis bath with already known trademark dense cocktail of metal percussion and roaring bass guitar. The album features several special guests: Vitaly Maklakov (Kromeshna, Obozdur, Light Collapse, etc.), Kein (Carved Image Of Emptiness, Scratching Soil, Prognostic Zero) and Isawald (Transistorwald, Tmavy Kruh, Esche).

Pomassl -- "Surplus Ships" -- LP -- €13
2011 Laton, Laton 055
Franz Pomassl presents new, original material and tracks from his 2007 CD "Spare Parts" on vinyl for the first time. The Austrian electronic innovator and craftsman has near-peerless, incredibly diverse credentials - from releases on Raster Noton and Sex Tags Mania to collaborating with Kodwo Eshun - and it's this duality of hi-end conceptual electronica and more base, grooving instincts which lie at the core of his music. Released through his long-running Laton imprint, "Surplus Ships" breaks down as six tracks of body-working rhythmic dynamism and uniquely contoured tones and cadence. The new material takes in belly-crumpling Avant-Dancehall on "Peak", a moment of exquisite music box melody called "Everest (Into Thin Himalayan Air)" and the hyperstructured architectronics of the title track, while the other cuts comprise alternative takes from the "Spare Parts" album; featuring the oddly funky delirium of "Terawatt Hours", a super-cooled echo chamber abstraction of "Tandem Distiller" and the submerged rollidge of "Murena (Mariana Trench)". [press-release]
Savio, Daniel -- "Valiant" -- 12" -- €13
2012 Laton, Laton 057
Daniel Savio (born 6 April 1978), is a Swedish electronic musician, composer and DJ. He is recognized as the originator of the genre term skweee, describing the sparse electronic music style initially released on Scandinavian record label Flora & Fauna. With their release of the single "The Bubble Bump" in 2006, the label also debuted Daniel Savio's solo material... A technique employed by Daniel Savio is committing himself to using a single synthesizer in the making of an entire song, or even full collections of songs. Using this method, the drum sounds, melodies, bass rhythms, pads and sequencing of a track may all be done using just one piece of hardware. The original purpose of the synthesizer in use would typically be considered insufficient for the purpose of making detailed and complete songs. [Fulldozer]

2000 8th Moon Art, 8M-13, (ltd. 50)
A live recording made on November 22, 1999 on the territory of GEZ-21. Absolutely "black", dark and insane work of this project. Viscious guitar drive becoming more and more muddy and cacophonic, hysteric vocals calls upon unknown realms. No less hysteric are explosions of accelerated cheeps of children's songs and frantic metal creak and rasp, a psychedelic purgatory, ablution by fire and white-hot lead, Stakhanovite works for preparing the end of the world. This is not really noise, but rather chaos of sounds and emotions. Collective listening can cause insights fraught with aggression. [press-release]

Band Of Pain -- "Sacred Flesh (Original Movie Soundtrack)" -- CD -- €10 [-50%]
2000/2010 Cold Spring, CSR33CD, (ltd. 666)
On Friday 14th April 2000, the film SACRED FLESH finally premiered at the ABC Piccadilly cinema for a two week stint, before being shown at cinemas across the country. It was delayed for a while as the BBFC decided on whether to grant a certificate for screening, or to ban it altogether! Finally, with a few edits they gave it an 18 certificate. The soundtrack was written by BAND OF PAIN, creating a very dark, brooding atmosphere to compliment Nigel Wingroves' film. Originally with a 16-page booklet depicting explicit scenes from the film (generallt cute lesbian conventuals), pressure from the distributors forced the artwork into a revised 4-page version. SACRED FLESH is dark journey into realms of mental anguish and repression; a very Black Ambient soundtrack. At last, BAND OF PAIN is working in the medium to which its most suited. An incredible new album with massive demand from both film and music distributors alike. 10 year anniversary edition of 666 copies! [label info]

Becuzzi, Gianluca -- "[In]visible Fields" -- 2 CD -- €10 [-50%]
2011 Silentes Minimal Editions, sme 1145
INVISIBLE FIELDS is collection of tracks created in order to non-compositional works: sound and video installations, theatre, performances, live set. The first CD includes 5 tracks from various installations and theatre pieces. FOR E.A.P. is a reworked audio section for a theatre piece based on E.A. POE novel "The Pit and the Pendulum". THE CAGE is a performance made for the art exhibition "Strade Bianche". Gianluca Becuzzi played, into an etruscan barrel, a big empty aviary, scraping and beating it. RADIO TRANS IT was composed for an installation by Pietro Riparbelli / K11 entitled "Camera Sonora for 4 Radiodramas" presended at eXperimenta 02. WATER MEMORIES is the title of a site specific work presented at eXperimenta 03. BREATHS is the soundtrack of a series of video portraits by Francesco Arena. The second CD includes the long title track (IN)VISIBILITY, a semi-impro electroacoustic live set. The performance was created with a laptop playing a backing track (field-recordings, processed frequencies, concrete sounds) and objects (paper and stones of different form and size). [press-release]

Now finally available on CD with restored artwork. This CD was released as part of a trilogy entitled "An Absurd Trilogy", the other titles being "The Self Portrait Of M.B." (sme 0715) and "Menstruum Regles" (sme 0716). [label info]
Bianchi, Maurizio (M.B.) -- "Menstruum Regles" -- CD -- €10 [-50%]
2008 Silentes Minimal Editions, sme 0716
Decomposition instead that composition. De-structured music that instead structured music. Not to complex and articulated technologies for recording, mixing of the parts and mastering; not to one sophisticated production and maniacal and defined participations correct in post-production... This the new "challenge" capacity to the extreme limit from Maurizio Bianchi, a new musical effort, "directed", "raw", immediate, absolutely uncompromising new, to outside of every law and from every pre-constituted rule... Fragments of music, short fragments of sonorous material of varied extraction, now short, now long, placed in sequence one behind the other, in a "dry" way, following absolutely unforeseeable times and dynamics. Continuous loops, raw unexpected cuts, noise alternated to musical parts, single sounds, drones, notes of piano, buzzes, soft pads, electric current workers... Two long traces, 75 minutes, a listening experience over any edge and reliable definition... This CD was released as part of a trilogy entitled "An Absurd Trilogy", the other titles being "The Self Portrait Of M.B." (sme 0715) and "Dead Colours" (sme 0717). [label info]
Bianchi, Maurizio & Jan-M. Iversen -- "Rekviem MB-JMI" -- CD -- €10 [-50%]
2011 Silentes Minimal Editions, sme 1144
A "classic" minimal ambient album; just one long track, a bit obscure, of a static nature but unarrestable as a matter of fact and slowly developing, built with layers of soft and 'round' sounds, heavily processed and effected, whose origin seems to be an organ... "Atypical" for sure, if confrontated with the huge and widely diversified productions of Maurizio Bianchi, this new album is probably one of the last and not to be missed releases signed by 'M.B.', since he has already announced his definitive departure from the musical scene. Another extraordinary collaborative CD, involving this time Jan-M. Iversen, an artist of international fame who managed to enrich and elaborate with great effect the "sound materials" provided by Maurizio Bianchi. [press-release]

Cyclotimia -- "Deja Vu" -- CD -- €10
2008 Shadowplay Records, SPR 061
The Moscow project CYCLOTIMIA is not needed to be present. It's albums were released at the cult western electro-industrial labels and also in Russia. It's music were sent even in space. During the period of 9 years there are lot of reviews about this band almost all sites and magazines that are devoted to the electro-industrial music mention CYCLOTIMIA or write articles about it. But you could make your own opinion about it - just listen the CD... All songs from the album were written in 2001 year and were released as two vinyls "Same Time Same Place" and "Metamorphosis" in 2002 year. But were difficult to buy because of the very limited edition... Chronologically the album "Deja Vu" is between "Wasteland" and "E$chaton". [press-release]

2012 Observatoire, obs * i|myth 041 cd, (ltd. 300)
The act of moving inside of this dimension requires a specific entry point - due to the fragile complication of finding this entry point often gestures are made that seem incidental, haphazard, and or like a clumsy dance. However - these gestures each acquire a particular sense when the non-linear goal is kept in mind... an accumulation of gestures that result in the correct connection to the necessary transducers. As the interface is in constant flux so this technology must transform and adjust at a moments notice. It is the ultimate organic interweaving of intention that creates the impression that the system is on the brink of evaporation - however it is the most fundamental indicator that all is in perfect working order... Deadwood -- "Ramblack" -- CD -- €10 [-50%]
2008 Cold Spring Records, CSR104CD
“Ramblack" is the follow up to Deadwood's successful 2005 album "8 19" (CSR53CD). Over the past 3 years this Swedish artist has been toiling away, creating a new black ambient / death noise masterpiece and "Ramblack" is the result. Cloaked in a more raw and morbid sound then its predecessor, this album truly changes ones perspective of audial darkness. This analogue beast of an album layers the tonal prayers of demons and the distorted cries of angels, sickness and depravity. True Death Electronics. The soundtrack to your end. "Ramblack" features guest vocals from Norwegian Black Metal legend Maniac (Skitliv, ex-Mayhem), who’s vocal approach on the song 'Forakt' shows the full range of his capacity. Truly one of the most sick and twisted pieces of sonic art ever recorded. Enjoy the disease! [press-release]

Dvar -- "Madegirah: Bizarre Rares & Early Works" -- CD -- €10

This album is only for true fans of DVAR open for different sides of the project's manifold legacy. 80 minutes and whole 50 tracks of total madness, animated shamanism, theatrical grotesque and gothic surrealism! Dvar -- "Piirrah / Taai Liira" -- CD -- €10
2009 Shadowplay Records, SPR 103
The complete and final reissue of the material from the legendary albums "Piirrah" and "Taai Liira" on one CD with a generous bonus-track section. The occult project DVAR has become known for the "gothic" community after the compilation "Edge Of The Night" released in the year of Millennium. The song "Taai Liira" stood out among the rest of material. Full of inhuman aggression, paranoidal hysteria and infinite pathology this song created at the junction point of darkwave and electronic black metal has opened a window for mass audience. Later followed the release of the first full-length album "Piirrah" in Italy, then powerful stylistical metamorphoses, creation of their own unique style "lightwave", release of 5 albums on Russian label Irond, including "Taai Liira", and many more... This CD presents the complete reissue of "Piirrah" and it's Russian reissue as "Taai Liira" also featuring previously unreleased material. This is a sort of archive mould of surely one of the most dark and sickly chapter in the history both Russian and international "dark scene". [press-release]

Dvar -- "Rakhilim" -- CD -- €10
2003 Monopoly Records, MONO 002-1103
The music is frivilous and amusing, making you smile and grimace, sometimes slightly sad, sometimes just semi-danceable. Round-dance of elves overdozed with acid. "Started back in early 90's and playing some kind of bizzare 'cartoonish-like' avantguard music, DVAR released several works ('Dvar', 'Raii') which now are rated among big rarities. After long years of silence DVAR returned with a gothic darkwave album 'Piirrah' released in Italy in 2002 and presenting material from the period 1999-2000. A year later the band produced 'Roah'. This time DVAR's style changed once again. It wasn't really 'dark' anymore, but rather melancholic. Oriental and minimalist influences could be easily heard. Music critics claimed it 'lightwave'. DVAR was recording 'Rakhilim' during year 2002, and by now it is the freshiest material of the bizzare formation. With this album DVAR's unique style reaches its artistic and technical purity." Emme Ya -- "Atavistic Dreams & Phallic Totems" -- CD -- €10 [-50%]
2011 Cold Spring, CSR127CD
40 minutes of dense astral emanations and magickal paradigms transmitted through the ritual mantras generated by Emme Ya. Emme Ya’s ‘Atavistic Dreams & Phallic Totems’ is based on the mysterious African Dogon tribe and their secret oral tradition. In the 1930s two anthropologists gained their trust enough to be told these remarkable secrets. The Dogon seemed to possess advanced astronomical knowledge beyond their means, without any instruments. They revealed that the star Sirius was orbited by the ‘smallest and heaviest of all stars’ and drew its elliptical orbit, which spans 50 years. This white dwarf (Sirius B) is so invisible that the first image was only obtained by scientists in 1970. But the Dogon also told of a third star in the system named Emme Ya (now Sirius C). This was only discovered in 1995 and only with the use of advanced infrared imaging. The Dogon say that their information was given to their ancestors through contact with beings from the star system of Sirius, calling these beings Nommos or ‘the monitors of the universe’. Fire In The Head -- "Confessions Of A Narcissist" -- CD -- €10 [-50%]
2010 Cold Spring, CSR120CD
"Confessions Of A Narcissist" marks the final full-length release by Fire In The Head ending six years of sonic warfare with an assault of manic, self-indulgent industrial electronics. Drawing as much influence from early punk / hardcore as from industrial / power electronics, F/I/T/H was conceived as a cathartic outlet to explore and ratify the delusions and social perversions resultant of psychosis and the darker side of man's conflicted dual nature, to fan the flames which engulf the borders between obsession, compulsion, lust and need. The tracks on this release were recorded in 2007-2008 and are the last of the "short, sharp, shock" vocal tracks which Michael abandoned in favour of "epic" length industrial / ambient compositions. Features guest appearances from Nick Blinko (Rudimentary Peni) and J. Randall (Agoraphobic Nosebleed), with exclusive artwork from Blinko. [press release]

Five Elements Music -- "Nexus" -- CD-R -- €8
2008 Still*Sleep, SS15
Electroacoustic ambient made from field recordings. The album consists of two long tracks. The first one, unlike many F.E.M. recordings, has dense and saturated sounding. The second one is more smooth and calm in atmosphere, but not less in density of sound - several sonic layers collide and create multifarious wave pattern drawing inside like a swirl in which you can notice every tiny detail while drowning...

Hukam -- "Astral Track Inside of Moutain" -- CD-R -- €12
2008 BioSonar Labyrint 05, (ltd. 108)
Project of Evgeny Savenko (Lunar Abyss, Ritualnaya Bioingeneria, eyc.) "Hukam - a term of Sikh, those who search for spirit in Himalayan foothills. Hukam is a Life Impuls, which is called Naam & Sach by Sikh, Shabd & Nad by Hindu, Kalma & Kalam-i-Rabani by Muslims and Logos by Christians. Here Hukam is a psycho-energetical sound project from L.A.D.O. and it has no connection with music (is aesthetic sense). This project represents sound meditative practices, journeys in the body of sound, tuning on the between-dimensional perception. A bridge between crystalline and organic consciousness. This disk is a tuning on the astral projection, a trip to the depth of your astral body, slight widening of attention sphere due to temporary relaxation of the frontal ego. The effect is achieved by using the difference between sonic waves in two channels. Sound which comes in consciousness through hearing transfroms into a signal of a non-sonic nature and is perceived as a tune bypassing brain functions. The nervous system relaxes and the consciousness obtains the possibility of free movement in the astral body." [press-release]

2009 Still*Sleep, CDR12
A collaboration between two Russian projects. The united sonic field of these 4 tracks harmonically meld together the characteristic features of both projects: hallucinogenic digital rasps and bright melancholic guitar tunes from Sister Loolomie and universal scale atmospheres of Interior Disposition. As a result we have beautiful and deep space ambient / drone.
Judah -- "s/t" -- CD -- €8 [-50%]

Second full album by those clones of NY's legend Suicide! This album is even more close to the very typical Suicide sound than the first one.. they sound extremely close to the originals! An incredible collision between cold and analogue minimal electronics with toxic and vicious vocals, rock'n'roll and savage punk. A real cult project / cult release. [label info]
Kinetix -- "Final Archives" -- CD -- €10 [-50%]
2010 Silentes Minimal Editions, sme 1043
This is the final chapter for this project run by Gianluca Becuzzi - well known for his old dark wave project LIMBO but also for his solo works and collaborations with Fabio Orsi. FINAL ARCHIVES is a sort of collection of rare tracks recorded from 1999 to 2006 totally reworked and remastered in 2009. ABSOLUTE GREY is the title that Kinetix gave to his graphic artwork selection exhibited with an ambient score specifically composed for the exposition space. The exhibition is made up of ten grey scale serigraphs on white forex sheets a metre square and a composition of 20 minutes played through two loudspeakers with one woofer covered in grey powder on top of a white cube. RAW MATERIALS is a collection of seven short tracks from early Kinetix productions. Noise gestaltmusic. A multi-dimensional concept created with sound layers and ambient concretism. These tracks help the listener to understand the starting point of Kinetix's sound research. RESOUNDING SCULPTURES is based on the concept of "composition for blocks of sound" made in the 50's and 60's by Iannis Xenakis. For this reason traditional compositional criteria (harmonic-melodic / rhythmic-metric) replace the various criteria of plastic / spatial forms. Part of the sound sources used were extracted from the works of Iannis Xenakis to whom this composition is dedicated. [press-release]

First part of the dilogy of "Spring banks" (the title translates from Russian as "Bank of Warm Spring") is a new release from Lunar Abyss and the third release by Russian label Vetvei. The continuous tapestry was recorded during the night of May 8th on the "ex-mental stage" of the international open air festival "Systo Togethering 2006" held in the woods of Leningrad region. E.S. used tapes, loops, concrete sounds, ocarina, voice and N.N. used computer, sound-generator and tape recordings, so they were telling the tales of alchemical process at the banks of mythic rivers reflected in dreams of animals who awake in dreams from rivers-voices and heavens-birds. Frequency moves in the body of voice and outside, pulsations, permanent ambient movements-trans-formation, a journey tale with a shaman to the dwellings of primordial elements. Lunar Abyss Deus Organum / Timur Kujanov / Kryptogen Rundfunk -- "s/t" -- CD-R -- €9
2004 Extremal Psyhonauts, ExPsy 005, (ltd. 77)
A conceptual 3-way split-release of St.Petersburg's projects suggests musical interpretations of psychedelic experience induced by the same substance contained in "yellow submarine" stamps - LSD-25. Lunar Abyss Deus Organum presents a 20-minute reworked live track in traditional for it's late recordings ambient-noise extatic style. Timur Kujanov, when being in the process of chemical soul cleansing, painted a picture in yellow colours and then used Fourier transformation to covert it into sound. The outcome is a strange drone ambient laid-back composition. Kryptogen Rundfunk as usual carries on mental dialogue with receiving-sets and Soviet synthesizers, expressed in a form of tough drone-noise track.
Lunar Abyss Quartet -- "Cosmologamma" -- CD -- €14

Wonderful ethno-ritual ambient, bright and serene like a lucid dream. Female voice reciting mantra and polyphony of atmospheric sounds wafting like an ocean wave - despite being quite short, this work manages to catch listener's mind and take it into the unknown depths. There are no dead and desolate landscapes typical for dark ambient, on the contrary, everything is filled with life and eternal motion. Such harmonious music can be inspired only by Nature - it's impossible to get tired of it, you can listen to it again and again. An original handmade package - wooden box + a herbarium of a zen oak leaf. [press-release]

Mantra, Michael -- "A.L.B.E." -- CD -- €10 [-50%]
2009 Silentes, 200923
Soft and dilated ambient atmospheres, minimal sonorities, floating electronic carpets… A new, “classic” and fascinating album in the typical and unmistakable Michael Mantra style... Four long and suggestive tracks, to be listened at low volume relaxing in the half-light, just like a discreet and refined sonic background, or at an higher volume for a “full immersion” into warm and wrapping electronic soundwaves, to the discovery of intriguing and evocative sonic landscapes… [label info]
Mantra, Michael -- "Amanita Lake" -- 2 CD + DVD -- €20 [-50%]
2010 Silentes, cd200924
Two hours and a half of music collected on a double CD set that also contain a DVD video. Two long tracks of sublime and evocative pseudo-abstract and multicoloured ambient textures, built with “discreet” and repetitive background microstructures layered with continuous and infinite variations worked out from “clusters” of sounds and “sketches” of melodic sequences made of light sonorities, “delicate” and “quiet” as well, but also hypnotic and warm… Fragile harmonies and mild dissonances in a timeless sonic continuum that enwraps and “rocks” the listener, among infinite spirals and floating waves in an everlasting movement… Another new, mind-boggling masterpiece, absolutely unmissable for all the lovers of Michael Mantra’s music. [press-release]
Mantra, Michael -- "Mobius Logic" -- CD -- €10 [-50%]
2008 Silentes, 200821
Evocative and crepuscular atmospheres, tenuous sounds from the inks color pastel, minimalistic melodies acclimatized on background of "discreet" but wrapping field recordings... Evoked and surrealistic soft sonorous landscapes with warm synthetic sounds, mixed to crystalline natural noises, concrete sounds, breaths... A fascinating classic "and" quiet "album of" ambient music, to work of one of the greatest and "historical" masters of the sort... [label info]
Mantra, Michael -- "Sonic Alter (Deepchord Remix)" -- CD -- €10 [-50%]
2004 Silentes, cd 200401
This is a new re-working of the classic ambient masterpiece by Michael Mantra. Sonic Alter was originally issued by Kim Cascone on his Silent imprint in 1994. For this version, Rod Modell (Deepchord Records in Detroit) added rhythmic elements and further processing. The original Sonic Alter was one of the best selling atmospheric records, and possibly the best on Silent. Many brain-hemisphere synchronization techniques / frequencies are employed. With headphones, this cd has a stunning drug-like effect. An updated classic. [press-release]
Mauthausen Orchestra -- "Digression" -- CD -- €10 [-50%]
2010 Silentes Minimal Editions, sme 1040
After the recent reprint of “historical” material collected on the “SONIC DEPRIVATION” CD (SILENTES SME0930), and the collaboration with NIMH on “FROM UNHEALTHY PLACES” (SILENTES SME9032), Mauthausen Orchestra/Pierpaolo Zoppo comes back with brand new tracks and a new album where the “fury” and aggressiveness of his usual “harsh” sonorities of a Noise/Power-Electronics nature are merged with more “quiet”, wide and always dark ambient parts, sometimes surprising us with unexpected and undisclosed pulsating rhythmic-electronic inserts. A great album for a project that has recently born again with an unsuspected and inspired artistic vital energy. [press-release]
Modell, Rod -- "Plays Michael Mantra" -- CD -- €10 [-50%]
2007 Silentes, 200720
"Plays Michael Mantra" is an atmospheric project by Rod Modell (deepchord / echospace) consisting of two 30-minute long tracks. Here Modell portrays the feelings and sensations that he was experiencing on a recent late-night train ride, where he was listening to "a/b" by Michael Mantra on headphones, and was fascinated with the way a/b blended with the sounds of the trip. On "Plays Michael Mantra" Modell created soundscapes that are reminiscent of that night, and then had Mantra's a/b playing in the background (as it was on the train). Made from delicate chime sequences, synth tones, space-echoes, and recordings of distant trains passing through the night. The overal effect is somewhat melancholy, but very soothing and familiar, like sleeping on a rainy night. Epic and majestic ambient sounds that twinkle like stars in the night sky. Extraordinary for late-night listening. [press-release]

Negru Voda -- "Vald De Luxe" -- 3 CD -- €18
2011 Malignant Records, TUMORCD42
Originally begun as a side project to the new defunct Megaptera, the purpose of Negru Voda was to be a more personal and expressive solo outlet for death industrial veteran Peter Nystrom. Compared to the perhaps darker, more layered sound of Megaptera, Negru Voda is stripped down, unrefined, and to the point – old school, true to form, and primitive industrial music heavily influenced by pioneering electronic artists such as Test Dept, S.P.K., The Klinik, Cabaret Voltaire, Severed Heads, and the like. Primarily built upon a strong foundation of punishing and persistent rhythms and cold, analogue pulsations, these are colossal soundscapes, where harsh, factory corrosion is met with insidious waves of distorted, electro-shock blasts streaked with highly ominous and bleak atmospherics as fueled by pints of lager, drams of Islay single malt, alienization, media wastelands, and cold Scandinavian winters... With Vald de Luxe, Malignant presents a comprehensive 3CD overview of the complete Negru Voda sound, combining a slew of new, unpublished recordings, coupled with a collection of out of print, completely re-mastered works, including the full length Dark Territory CD (Old Europa Cafe, 1998), plus 3 bonus tracks, as well as the des Esseintes split 10” (Fin de Siecle, 2001) and the AVA: (dunk) picture 7” (Formosan, 2002). Also featured is the enlisted help of such notables as Magnus Sundstrom (des Esseintes, The Protagonist), Ulf Soderberg (Sephiroth), Kristoffer Oustand (V:28, K.N.O., Plague Machinery), and Christian Pallentin (P.A.L)... Few can stake claim to the immeasurable influence and legacy of Peter Nystrom, and with Vald de Luxe, it becomes immediately evident that authentic, old school Swedish industrial still reigns supreme. In 8 panel digipak, with exquisite design by Kristoffer Oustad and Marten Kellerman. [press-release]

Opium & Sostrah Tinnitus -- "Stain" -- CD -- €10 [-50%]
2011 Silentes Minimal Editions, sme 1041
Warm, involving, deep and penetrating sounds... Flowing sounds patterns, vibrating drones permeated by a discreet sense of tension, evolving in dark, obscure, foggy, nocturnal atmospheres, violated by raven voices, mysterious noises and sounds of metal objects in motion... And then concrete noises, confused and elusive melodies, feeble light flashes, buried echoes of human voices, distantr whispers, sudden passages of rough sounds, undefined nuisances, subliminal and hypnotic sequences, just like a recollection of unreal and dusty sounds from an old carillon... An extraordinary and not to be missed journey in the darkness, lead with great skill by two of the most remarkable artists coming from the Italian ambient/dark-ambient scene of the last decade. Park Modern -- "Mechanical Bowels" -- 2 CD -- €13
2005 Laton, Laton 036
Park Modern is the seminal project of Evgeny Beresnev, started in the russian Far-East city Vladivostok in 1999. He participated some local electronic music festivals and produced four full-length albums available online so far, before gaining attention by Franz Pomassl from austrian Laton label. This ultimate anthology is composed from the tracks from all those albums, containing 45 tracks and 157 minutes of music! Evgeny calls his music "noise-IDM", and according to the label press-release it should be like "electro-mechanic musique concrete". So, what is it all about? All tracks are exploring rhythmic structures, but there are nether melodies nore standard techno-arrangements, instead of them, we have huge massive of sampled noises from everyday life. Something you have heard once upon a time, ranging from the railway train clatter to construction sites roaring, dishes clinking and toy instruments strumming. This "discotheque of mechanisms" is something to be associated with Ant-Zen/Hands Productions stuff, so you need more time to override the initial stages and get accustomed to, before you will be able to feel the difference. On this more profound level, you will be surprised with its seriousness and austerity, in spite of frivolous rhythms and jocular tracktitles. This peculiar feature is the main difference from other dance/industrial/noise mongrels. [Dmitry Vasilyev, Independent Electronic Music]

Phaenon -- "His Master's Voice" -- CD -- €10
2010 Malignant Records, TUMOR CD45
After the well received debut Submerged, Phaenon follows things up with an even deeper immersion into a world of bleak, isolationist sounds. Whereas Submerged was one long and infinitely expansive drone piece, His Master’s Voice is broken up into four separate, but flowing tracks of sprawling and spacious ambient drift, laced with interstellar disturbances, probing, alien tones and icy shards of celestial debris…a whirling specter of darkness and void-ic space, thematically based upon the 1968 novel of the same name by Stanislaw Lem, which is centered around the efforts by scientists to decode, translate and understand a series of extraterrestrial transmissions. As a whole, His Master’s Voice represents a logical progression in Phaenon’s sound and is the ultimate in headphone listening. In gorgeous 6 panel digipak. [press-release]

The most remorseless, brutal Skullflower ever! Alternating between granular lo-fi primitive rock and granular lo-fi primitive Power Electronics, this taut disc is a chain mail glove of hate to any lazy minds who've tainted the air with describing Skullflower as 'psychedelic'. But that's not to say this is an all out total assault. There are also moments of tender acoustic balladry, its just that they don't exist. The remorseless brutal sound is primitive, but as detailed and rich as a blood soaked medieval canvas, somewhere betwixt The Rita and Clandestine Blaze, but more brutal! Long live the New Flesh! But don.t expect a pop oriented sell out. Instead be prepared to fall inside T.A.C.'s kaleidoscope once again. And again. Their twelfth release actually. T.A.C. sonic trip goes on through unexplored territories, forcing the borders between electronica and new psychedelic soundscapes, making room for gentle ballads merciless deconstructed. Urauschwitz -- "Zirkuszerfall" -- CD -- €10
2008 self-released
The debut release of a new Russian exoteric project Urauschwitz, oriented towards the world around us. The world which is complicated, satiated with signs and littered by propaganda. And the author tries to overview this "Zirkuszerfall" ("circus of decay") without distortions through the distorting mirror, and this is done with a good portion of black humour. The manner of soundwork of Urauschwitz can be compared to German project Turbund Sturmwerk. The artwork of this release should be particularly mentioned: it's done in vein of industrial constructivism of the artist Alexander Lebedev-Frontov (although some parallels with Turbund Sturmwerk can be found here too), but with a bit of "contamination" of sunny Man-Engine by cabbalistic art. Von Hausswolff, C.M. -- "Rats / Rattor" -- mCD -- €11
2004 Laton, Laton 031
Isn't it really amazing, to have a look at the world through the rat eyes? This eternal enemy of mankind, all seemed to be existing only for the purpose of reproduction and subsistence, actually is the one of most sensible living thing on the earth. Listening to these three pieces, you can feel real tension of the space, like sitting in the dark corner, stifled like the piece of stale bread or cardboard scrap. From all sides there is a rustle, puffing, scurrying armsteps on the wooden floor. Pushing one another, sniffing around, hitch you up and dragging somewhere. You're afraid but curious to know what will happen next? There is not much time to live out rat's days, so the total running time of this CD is just about 11 minutes. The more appropriate definition is the CD-single but I don't think there will be continued by full-length album. On the other hands, who knows? The most irreconcilable and uncompromising conceptual musician Carl Michael von Hausswolff can always prepare some surprises... Attention: there is a packet of ratsbane hidden inside the cover, instead the booklet! [Dmitry Vasilyev, Independent Electronic Music]
West State -- "Sideways" -- CD -- €10
2008 Shadowplay Records, SPR 074
West State is a side project of the well-known Russian band Cyclotimia. In contrast to the main project's cold, sharply conceptual and monumental style, West State's music rather reminds of movie soundtracks that combine sci-fi with action, drama and a little romance. Both the lovers of atmospheric IDM/ambient and unusual electronics in general, will love this unique musical "trip"... Reminiscent of: Biosphere, Orbital, Download, Black Lung, early Delerium, Vangelis, J.M.Jarre... Here's what the musicians say: "We created West State to develop the ideas that appealed to us but did not fit in the framework of Cyclotimia, our core project. This explains why our work has been spontaneous and sporadic, and some of the tracks remained unfinished for years on end. Besides, West State embraces some of the tracks that were originally meant for Cyclotimia. Despite the seemingly eclectic content and its being created at different times and on different equipment, the result is a complete and self-contained album, not a compilation". [press-release]

Zavoloka -- "Plavyna" -- CD -- €13
2005 Laton 032 / Nexsound, ns37
Zavoloka is young ukrainian female musician, debuted with her "Plavyna" album in 2004 after some mp3-appearances on highly-acclaimed domestic Nexsound label. Her work seems to be unique transformation of ethnic musical heritage into abstract soundscape enriched by unconventional electronic sounds, amorphous rhythms and enigmatic voices. Each piece evolves in its own unpredictable way, dense and dynamic structures developes into complex arrays, which are going further to restless, fragile rows. The music frequently indicates phenomenal behaviour: sometimes you just think it's familiar and accessible, but in the next few seconds this impression could be totally destroyed by layered sound attacks. Zavoloka goes the way of endless search, bringing the listener deep into the underworld, leaving no way to recover his senses. Her artistic intuition seems to be very similar to childlike motions, switching attention between events, going ahead without special plan. But the overall impression regenerates into the different quality, forcing me to listen it again and again to understand how it works. All tracks are mostly instrumental, except the sevents one ("Kolyskova") - here the voice appears, caressing and lulling you, singing a strange but somehow familiar melody. Basically, many sounds can be apprehended as sampled traditional instruments, but instead of it, turning to glitch-variations and percussive elements. The partial peculiarity of this album also can be explained by originality of female view on music composing - more freedom, disengagement and intuition never can be harmful for any creative process. V/A -- "Zvukolan: atmosphere, landscapes, strategy" -- CD-R -- €7
2005 Strely Peruna prod., SP 015, (ltd. 222)
Strely Peruna prod. present the anniversary compilation with projects that supported label in it's 10 year activity with their creative work. The idea of label is spreading the pagan weltanschauung, leaving behind the standards in art perception and liberation from the dogmas of surrounding reality. Geographically this compilation covered North, Centre, Ural and South of Russia which allows to see both common and distinct features in creative landscapes of our Earth. The participants are: Unknown, Hum, Sunchariot, Kromeshna, Lunar Abyss Deus Organum, YAO 91404 D. UNKNOWN (Moscow) is a project of Dmitry Shilov who started his activity in 1996. He released several works on Strely Peruna prod. and claimed himself as an adherent of veda wisdom and search of light in the darkness of the present. Dmitry creates profound and meditative ambient landscapes in which he combines his outlook and great cycles of Nature. Dmitry also took part in a project called Medve Na Veche - the debut release of our label. HUM (Fryazino, Moscow region) - one of the oldest Russian projects working with analogue technology of tape loops. His compositions are very deep and sensitive. The atmosphere of Hum can be compared with a walk in autumnal forest. Dmitry Chistov (Hum) took part in a project Off The Cuff released by Strely Peruna. SUNCHARIOT (Rostov-on-Don) originates from the pagan-metal band gradually reduced to one-man project - Denis Shapovalov. Zoroastrian cult and religions of the Sun are the main inspiration sources for Denis. Minimalistic dark ambient sound of Sunchariot - magic rituals of Sun and Blood. KROMESHNA (Kamensk-Uralsky, Ekaterinburg region) is a young project of Vitaly Maklakov from creative union "Ostroga". Enigmatic ladscapes of Ural, laborious work of Nature, mountain ranges settling down into twilight - all this (and something more that is hard to describe) found it's reflection in music of Kromeshna. LUNAR ABYSS DEUS ORGANUM (St. Petersburg) focuses attention on karelian-finnish shamanism and nothern folklore through the prism of ambient culture and industrial constructivism. The leader of LADO - Evgeny Savenko - also had a project called Koivunmahla released by Strely Peruna prod. YAO 91404 D (St. Petersburg) is a young but promising project absorbing the aesthetics of revolution, labour cult and heroic spirit of industrialisation. Danil Dashkevich (YAO 91404 D) successfully cobines hard psychedelic atmosphere with industrial noises and pagan music primitivism. This symbiosis creates really unusual and emotional ritual/industrial mystery. All projects presented only exclusive tracks for this compilation. The release comes in non-standard handmade sleeve with 6 photos. [label info]
