Salute!

In this newsletter we happily present two new releases on ZHELEZOBETON, by the way marking the 10 years of labels activity. You can listen to them online fully and if you like, you can buy digital versions at our Bandcamp page.

Fans of "honest" digital purchases and users of Apple devices may be pleased to know that our previous release - The Infant Cycle "Drop-out Center" is now available for sale through iTunes Store, and also through several other digital distributors, such as CD Baby and Amazon.

Well, and we also continue our research of the immeasurable universe of the experimental underground on a physical plane. In this update I'd like to specially mention the new albums from such Russian projects as Lunar Abyss Deus Organum (CD in 3 different versions of artwork + a painting based on cover art!), Pustota (continuation of the Lo-End cassette series), Exit In Grey (the debut CD!), Interior Disposition, completely new work by Alexander Lebedev-Frontov & Valeriy Rakcheev (Microspora), a single by the Cyclofillydea band, several reissues of the veterans of St. Petersburg-based noise Reductio Ad Absurdum, and also other new stuff from the labels Ufa Muzak, Operator Produkzion and Semperflorens.

Some new stuff from the international scene, such as new CDs by Cold Meat Industry (two albums from two Russian girls!), plus new releases from Der Blutharsch, Derniere Volonte, ROME, and new stuff from the labels The Ceiling, Silentes and Rage In Eden.

That's it for now. Thanks for your attention!

Wander

CD-R (ltd. 150)
ZHB-XXXV

1. Wander [mp3]

total length: 42:19
price: €7

* bandcamp.com

Wander is a duo from the Dutch town of Nijmegen consisting of Frans de Waard and Freek Kinkelaar, also known under the name Beequeen. Beequeen have been recording music since 1989 but in 2000 they decided to redirect this project to more accessible "almost-pop-music" and started Wander to unburden themselves in creating abstract soundscapes.

This recording was made during the Russian tour of Wander / Beequeen in October 2011 in the Moscow art cafe "Ex:Libris". Their performance was not improvised - within 42 minutes the listener can find several specific compositions bound together by more abstract interludes. Freek plays guitar and uses expedient means for creating noises while Frans takes care of electronics and field recordings. Like in a good movie their music reflects a full range of human emotions: from light-hearted sketches with serene guitar passages to disturbing dark ambient scenes and, of course, trademark minimal drones with careful textures and easy noises.

Nigdeniya is a mail-art project initiated by Vitaly Maklakov - a painter and musician from the Siberian town of Kamensk-Uralskiy, known to the fans of Russian noise underground for the projects Light Collapse, Kromeshna, Obozdur and DIY-labels Ostroga and Heart-Shaped Box. On the first album of this new project he collaborates with Michel Madrange aka M.Nomized - an honoured activist of the French underground since 1975. One track also features the Russian musician Dmitry Rodionov with his project Dmitry Rodionov Experience.

"Nigdeniya" (translated from Russian as "Nowhereland") is an utopia state, an idea drawn out of writings of the English philosopher & humanist Thomas More. This is a geographical and socio-political fantasy, a place not found on Earth - as there is no place for this musical project whose creations are born in virtual space during an exchange of material by mail. The result of this exchange is presented in 8 compositions, in which electronic rhythms are tightly interwoven with multi-layered arrangements made of synthesized sounds, voices, sampled musical fragments and field recordings, forming striking industrial psychedelic kaleidoscope of visions.

CDs & CD-Rs

Arkhaion -- "When Gods Walked The Earth" -- CD-R -- €9
2012 Ufa Muzak, UFA57, (ltd. 150)
Heroic / Mythical sympho neoclassic ambient. Human history is not what is seems for the majority of modern people today. There's no evolutionary and progressive history of development. The primitive modern science can only suppose that it all started about 8000-6000 years B.C. The raven darkness of this delusion is penetrated by other theories which may seem to be completely fantastic, talking about cyclic models of development. 10.000 years before the Common Era humanity was at the peak of cosmic growth and highest development. All myths and heroic eposes, ciphered and allegorical, tell about that times. In those times there was a different race on Earth, now we call them Gods. The great ancestors built gigantic cities, they were developing and lived according to the highest wisdom. This race was certainly of cosmic origin, and they laid the foundation of the whole history on this planet. There were humans like us too, who lived in the same time with the highest creatures, the Gods, and received knowledge from them. First kings described in ancient myths were the offsprings of the Gods - they belonged to the other level and deserved complete worship. Their power allowed them to reach the highest spiritual state, the biggest progress of science of much more absolute character, to build the cities of unseen constructions. The power of human beings came from the Gods who gave them self-consciousness and combined their fate with their own great fate and goal within the Universe. It started 200.000 years ago. Majestic, triumphant and cryptic album of the conceptual project Arkhaion opens up slowly and calmly like movement of a huge body in cosmic space. Everything is undisturbed and grandiose, white light divides in spectral colours and the micro-symbol starts rotating, a mandala containing the new model of the Universe. Ambient and symphonic structures repeat the process of matter efflux from the stars. Immersion in music is like obtaining wings for a short time enough to see the fabulous picture from the bird view. Genetic memory will allow only a few to dive deeper into the visionary space of the Ancient and live some more time there. 8 tracks, 52 minutes, pro-CDR, 8-page booklet with 8 myths. [press-release]

Atomtrakt -- "Artefakte Des Verderbens" -- CD -- €13
2012 Steinklang Industries, SK56, (ltd. 400)
Two years after the highly acclaimed „Sperrstelle Nordost“ album the mighty ATOMTRAKT are back with a new bombastic, martial, heroic and apocalyptic Industrial release which is entitled „Artefakte des Verderbens“. The album spreads a superior and cold atmosphere and deals with the Battle of Stalingrad (2nd World War). As on “Sperrstelle Nordost”, cold, heroic and atmospheric synthesizer layers are mixed with bombastic drums and military war-like rhythm patterns. The vocals on the new record vary from dark and clean to distorted and threatening. The overall sound of the album is powerful and bombastic – it spreads a superior and mighty atmosphere rarely heard before. The lyrics deal with fears, death, decay and ambiguity. When listening to this sophisticated album, you can find yourself on the battlefield in Stalingrad. The album itself never gets boring - This is due to the variety of songs and themes. The album is available in a 6-panel DIGIPAK and it was recorded and mastered at Luftschutzkerker Studio in Switzerland. [press-release]

Becuzzi, Gianluca -- "Trax To Trax" -- 2 CD -- €14
2012 Silentes Minimal Editions, sme 1256
Here comes Gianluca Becuzzi’s fourth release on Silentes. This electronic / electro-acoustic composer and sound-artist boast an enviable curriculum: active since the first half of the ‘80s as founder of the historic Darkwave / Industrial project Limbo, since 1999 his artistic production is characterized by a strong experimental imprint and by a clear tendency toward abstract aesthetic forms and micro/macro noises/sounds. Among his recent artistic production - in addition to what he has published under his own name - we should at least mention his projects Kinetix, Noise Trade Company and Grey History, and his many collaborations in duo with Fabio Orsi. "Trax To Trax" is a double CD that collects tracks recorded between 2006 and 2011, most of them have already appeared on compilations or on limited edition CD-Rs. Among the musicians who have collaborated on some of these tracks, we’d like to mention Simon Balestrazzi (T.A.C.), Nigel Ayers (Nocturnal Emissions), Fabio Orsi and Pietro Riparbelli/K11. Surrounded by dark presences we enter this listening experience enjoying Gothic scenarios covered with electronics and noise, pressing and suggestively evocative, in a relentless series of images and sensations, in the emotional crescendo of a close confrontation with our inner world. [press-release]

Becuzzi, Gianluca & Turra, Luigi -- "In Winter" -- CD -- €10
2012 Silentes Minimal Editions, sme 1257
One more new Gianluca Becuzzi release on Silentes, this time in collaboration with Luigi Turra. Composer of musique concrete and graphic designer whose main interest is the musical balance between silence and the tactile perception of sound, Turra’s works were published by labels such as and/OAR, Unfathomless, Non Visual Objects, SmallVoices and many others. A lot has already been written about Becuzzi, here we would just like to remember his historic Darkwave / Industrial project Limbo, his more recent Kinetix and Noise Trade Company incarnations, and the long collaboration he carried on with Fabio Orsi. "In Winter" was recorded between 2008 and 2010, with Becuzzi mostly taking care of field recordings and programming, and Turra giving his own contribution playing acoustic guitar and piano. Light as the snowflakes that entitle them, these nine compositions offer dreamy atmospheres that rely on minimal structures and evoke visions of lonely and lazily wintry landscapes. Music for the heart and the mind, delicate representations of quiet moods translated into harmonic sequences that combine environmental synthesis with influences of a refined sophistication. [press-release]

Bianchi, Maurizio -- "Pharmelodies" -- CD -- €10
2012 Silentes Minimal Editions, sme 1254, (ltd. 300)
A colossal and epic post-ambient symphony in three movements, where echoes of string instruments, deep drones of indecipherable origin, layered synthetic waves, slowed-down and distorted dark sonic masses challenge time with a para-immobility in constant turmoil, in an unpredictable, progressive and sometimes cyclic combination of statuesque sonic forms whose physiognomy is often known and familiar, while at the same time elusive, disturbing, arcane and mysterious... Another highest and unmissable chapter in the immense, infinite sound material forged by the greatest and immortal alchemist of Italian non-musical experimental scene. A limited edition of 300 hand-numbered copies in cartonsleeve. [press-release]

Cyclofillydea -- "Unknown War/NEVE" -- CD-R single -- €3

A single disc with the new track by a meritorious St.Petersburg based project Cyclofillydea. Industrial apocalyptic military rock with female vocals reciting Italian poem written by Salvatore Quasimodo. Recommended to the fans of Der Blutharsch, Allerseelen, etc.

Darkrad -- "Abnormal Love" -- CD -- €14
2012 Cold Meat Industry, CMI214
Darkrad is the dark-industrial project of multi-talented artist Jana Komaritsa (known as JanaDark). Being the only member she realizes her deepest feelings, emotions and inner thoughts in it, creating gloomy surreal worlds with music, video, performances and arts. She is playing around the "absence of presence", strengthened by vivid imagination, capturing the powerful penetrating Unknown, which we are both scared of and attracted by. Suppressed fears and sharp pain, perverted sexuality and inner psychosis, metaphysical essences and strong piercing feelings – these are the main topics of Darkrad. The live performance of Darkrad is an ocean of feelings from the somber corners of the subconsciousness, which doesn't suppress and turn off the emotions, but sharpen them to a sometimes frightening peak. Don’t miss that – and don’t miss this, the first album of Darkrad! [press-release]

Der Blutharsch And The Infinite Church Of The Leading Hand -- "The End Of The Beginning" -- CD -- €14
2012 WKN, WKN 43
Brand new album by this strange band living somewhere in the middle of the woods outside Vienna. Again, DBaticotlh managed to sound different than on the previous albums, which somehow got a trademark of this strange band meanwhile, and as people say is somehow 'undescribable' - and even if a discription would fit, by next album it's anyway exresent. And somehow, they might be right! As since the beginning of the career of Dbaticotlh the band invited some stunnig guests to take part on this album again - this time: Josef Dvorak (well known psychoanalyst and co-founder of 'Wiener Aktionismus'), Lina Baby Doll (famous brother in drinking and as Albin says: 'greatest genius in the whole music scene"), Matt Howden (amazing violine player and mastermind of Sieben, a band Albin Sunlight Julius counts to one of his fav. bands ever), Lloyd James (from UK band Naevus), Pete Hope (legendary artist from Sheffield who now after ages found back his way into music - finally!), Alessio Beterelli (better know for his work as life bass player for Dbaticotlh as his project Varunna - our man from Sardia... aka 'Il pescadore' - master of classic guitar playing as well as apnoe diving - what a character!) So, as you see... this sounds like a wild mixtures of various wild characters being united on this album. [press-release]

2012 Hau Ruck!, HR!100

Dmitriy Rodionov Experience -- "Seventeen Moments Of Winter" -- CD -- €6
2010/2011 Nihil Art Records, NAR 021, (ltd. 500)
CD reissue of an album previously released on CDR by the label Heart-Shaped Box. "The work over this album took about 6 months of winter and spring 2003, mostly in Scherbakovka village in Sverdlovsk region. "Seventeen Moments Of Winter" is filled with the sense of frosty Ural winter, loneliness and warmth of village life. The main line of the album is the composition "New Year's experiments" split in 4 parts. In general, all compositions are like "dreams" seen in frosty winter nights in a Ural village. All these "dreams" are divided in several periods of waking up, marked as "Origin through". One of the tracks - "Influence of the moon" - was inspired by an exhibition of Marina Kutyavina (http://www.mariku.ru). The exhibition was called "Angels and Moons". The track "Gagarin" tells about the first space flight of the Soviet cosmonaut Y.A. Gagarin. "What has felt the man who was the first in the history of Earth to fly in space? Must be something on the edge of insanity. Total detachment from reality". "Seventeen Moments Of Winter" is a conceptual work in which the author refers to his childhood memories. "Music has the ability to take you through the time... Just like, for instance, a smell which you liked in childhood can recreate the image from your childhood, if you close your eyes". Halgrath -- "Arise Of Fallen Conception" -- CD -- €14
2012 Cold Meat Industry, CMI211
That dark ambiental music should somewhat have staggered in their own drones is far from true, Halgrath is here to prove that there is still vitality in this genre. This truly inspiring and outstanding vision comes from the enlightened genius from Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova. It is a natural step that the new fresh ideas comes from a female. This scene has been dominated by men for too long. And that new interesting ideas come from the fareast of Europe is no news. Halgrath transmits the darkest beauty in an unique atmosphere built with her professionally trained opera skills, whispers, screams and prays in foreign languages, as if spoken directly from her subconsious. Hypnotic, ritualistic and ultra-deep sound-escapes, makes all together a telepathic creation of thoughts and emotions going directly to your inner. Close your eyes and let the night come! [press-release]

Lunar Abyss Deus Organum -- "Atimudra" -- CD -- €10
2012 Biosonar^Labyrint, 025/2012, (ltd. 296)
Fifth full-weight CD album of the project. Like all previous releases, it is a collection of tracks created in a long timespan. Plenty of various sound flows in parallels and angle-wise, interwined in ingenious multi-layered patterns, flows from different worlds, spaces and times. They include early sets of samples, improvisations from the live gigs, different home and field recordings, meta-synthesis, ethnic artifacts, vintage synths, radio capture and jam-sessions with friends. This way the new L.A.D.O. album continues to implement its main concept of interspatial and intertemporal contact. Unlike "Snovidenie" or "Tuntury", here every composition is a separate piece, a unique story, listening them in a row is like reading short novels, but despite the diversity of forms they all are interfused with same kind of mood, vibrating on one cosmic wave. One of the pieces is recorded together with Kshatriy, another one formed from the materials of Hattifnatter, but the overall amount of sound contributors is just impossible to describe. The final mastering was done by Uak-Kib (Kshatriy). Aesthetically the album keeps following L.A.D.O. "style" - distinctive and already well-known psychedelic drone ambient; practically it is like a remedy for one's mind. The album's mood has a lot in common with the recent 10" record "Atanimonni Aitnatsbus". "Ati-mudra" has an approximate translation from the Sanskrit: "ati" means inherent, perfect, true, "mudra" is state, setting, seal. Cover art features a drawing made by the author during one of Karelian trips in 2002. Handmade cardboard sleeve with cut corners and attached photo. Limited edition - 296 hand-numbered copies. Macelleria Mobile Di Mezzanotte & Anenerbe Music Club -- "Crime In Your Flesh And Other Sad Story" -- CD -- €9
2012 Ufa Muzak, UFA56, (ltd. 500)
Crime dark jazz / Somnambulic post punk. Ufa Muzak invites you to spend one day in a night club. This is not a regular drunk day for relaxing your nerves and bringing mind in productive readiness for the next week, no, here you will find not the usual omnipresent lines in menu of a classic respectable house, here something should happen, something maybe not unimportant, but significant. Draw attention to the people hidden in clouds of blue tobacco smoke, if you recognize them, then you understand there is a reason for you to be here, and even a business card with golden embossed letters looks like an object of decoration. Music flows like spring water in a silver cup, like this new harmony one can trace the radiuses of movements of thin rouged lips, or maybe a mirror on a wall hides a new deception. Italian speech, illegible words, at that table, fine drunk speech of the members of the musical decadent opera of MMM, they don't care of broken glasses or slipped up shirts, opening paintings on a skin - yes, they make sense for those who understand. But here are other people, their names are like strokes of dark blood, unknown, pictures of burning passports, files not found, special department for the issues of especial importance, Anenerbe Music Club. Nice people in suits with burning cigarettes and guns, jazz syncopes, lights fade out slowly, it all starts soon... 6 tracks, 30 minutes, standard jewel-case, 6-page booklet. [press-release]

Maribor -- "De Immenso" -- CD -- €10
2011 Silentes Minimal Editions, sme 1150
Following the previous “Atrocity Exhibition”, dedicated to the figure of Girolamo Savonarola, the new monumental chapter of the Maribor collective project is finally available. In addition to Stefano Gentile himself, this new work includes contributes by Maurizio Bianchi/M.B., Mauthausen Orchestra/Pierpaolo Zoppo, Nimh/Giuseppe Verticchio, Amon/Andrea Marutti and Gianluca Favaron. Almost 80 minutes of driving and all-involving music where bleak and dark atmospheres alternates with consuming assaults of Industrial distorted sonic masses, cinematic and descriptive passages enriched by detailed layers of field recordings, throbbing electronic progressions, melodic inserts, strings parts, guitar arpeggios, soft, slow and hypnotic ambient stasis… Another surprising and unmissable listening experience, for a work that once again gathers together some of the most representative artists both of the historical and of the more recent groundbreaking experimental and industrial Italian scene. Novatory Avangarda -- "Sovnoise" -- CD-R -- €7
2012 self-released, (ltd. 10)
A Soviet man has been always surrounded by NOISE. Ideologically true, necessary and correct NOISE. This was the rhythmic drone of machines, tramp of soldiers walking in array to fight with the enemies of the Soviet state, chaotic but beautiful noise of the Russian forest and the Russian sea, vociferous exclamations of the masses: "Glory to Comrade Stalin!" - all this formed the right noise background setting the life of a Soviet man in correct sonic frames motivating him for feats and seething social activity for the benefit of the Party and the People. The album of Novatory Avangarda "Sovnoise" allows you to take a dive into this right ideological noise and deeply feel this "mood" of the Soviet NOISE which invoked all the kind and proper feelings and emotions. It's known for certain that if someone builds a huge loudspeaker and plays "Sovnoise" three times in a row over all the Eurasian territory, then all peoples inhabiting it will instantly find the feeling of communism inside them and the Kingdom of Reason will come known as COMMUNISM. So, listen to this album by yourself and create communism in your own living area. [press-release]

ROME -- "Fester" -- CD EP -- €14
2012 Trisol, TRI 457 CD, (ltd. 999)
FESTER is a ritual fight with one’s own personal demons, a journey not devoid of self-derision. These twilight songs are like a glimpse into a world of otherness. ROME was founded on forward motion („Bewegung entsteht durch Haltung“) and like a true moloch it expels its dead. With 8 critically acclaimed and remarkable (concept) albums in as many years, ROME have built a considerable following in the world’s darker musical scenes. Yet, the myth of this ROME is cast in the future tense. This ROME remains vibrant and far removed from the shorthand of conventional imagery, from the distortion of nostalgia – the inarticulate contempt for the present and fear of the future. On FESTER this contempt is quite articulate and one can taste the fear that lies at the root of it all. This record brings ROME back to the city, back to the gutter and into the actual world of its author, JEROME REUTER: a world where the sacred and profound, history and eternity, man and god remain completely separated. Musically FESTER offers a mixture of what might be termed Murder Folk and Junky Ballads, far removed from the martial drum beats and retrosampling – yet more anger-fueled than ever before. Featuring two tracks from the upcoming album HELL MONEY (in an exclusive alternate version), one exclusive track and a stripped-bare remodeling of the ROME classic „Le Vertige Du Vide“ –done FESTER-style! [press-release]

ROME -- "Hell Money" -- CD -- €15
2012 Trisol, TRI 458 CD
„Hell Money“ is different. You’ve probably known ROME as an entity creating an invigorating meta-political, para-religious universe, functioning according to its own code and incorporating all kinds of elements from history to philosophy and musical expressions into one catchy collection of songs within an industrial-ish, brainy collage. „Hell Money“ is different. You’ve most likely heard Jerome’s voice as coming from the depths of pan-European wisdom, toying with poetic elements from expressionism to post-modernism, with each word of poetry sucking you way more into a sweet world of oblivion, a soothing chanson crooner indebted to the traditions American and European folk. „Hell Money“ is different. You’ve come to love ROME’s concept collages, shedding new light on the realities of the world and its history, whilst giving a voice to the downtrodden. „Hell Money“ is –yet again– different. „Hell Money“ is an emotional tour-de-force through the twisted inner workings of a tormented individual. A journey into a heart of sadness, where greed, addiction and self-immolation have taken their toll on sanity. The songs remain fragmentary and crude. The voice on this album is not the voice of reason, it is an individual unashamed, yet deeply tormented by the demons that have come to haunt it. The music is built primarily by an anger-driven acoustic guitar and a voice bereft of poetic hipness. No martial drums, no retro-sampling, but drums and sampling nonetheless. „Hell Money“ is sparse, crude, intimate, sick... and ultimately honest. [press-release]

Ryr feat. Ultrapolyarnoe Vtorzhenie -- ":Thule:" -- CD-R -- €7
2012 Ufa Muzak, UFA50, (ltd. 111)
Ritual industrial / Apocalyptic avantguarde. Coming to the last point on Mercator's map, to the deeply hidden mountain of Meru. Everything ends and starts again. Two twilight projects present the last chapter, which has bound with a fine thread the encrypted numbers, from 1 to 50, and created the trajectory on an invisible map between the poles. In the foundation of the swastika-like pyramid, in the center, embossed ias an ornament locked inside itself like Ouroboros snake. The relict radiation here reaches the maximum level of spectral power illuminating background body covered with runes. The polar night of supernova stars lays out the white continent in parts, ready to accept the "Highest Unknown Ones". Silence lit only once by a giant of KV III spectral class, creating the "moment of history end". Apollo's chariot explodes with swan-like projections and moves behind the boundaries of Borea, crumbling in huge celestial statues of Aryans. The hyper-speed of Big Bang repetition inversely recreates the cosmological model of the old Universe, for everything to remain in memories, here, after the end. The sonic radiation of the album is filled with retrospective sounds of the past and breaking through the dark matter of present mechanical outrage of infernal future. The last chapter of the polar trilogy, the symbolical point - year of 2012. "The path is inside of you". 8 tracks, 43 minutes, 4-panel sleeve with a film insert. [press-release]

Sarang -- "The Dream of Earth" -- CD -- €10
2012 Silentes Minimal Editions, sme 1258
After a long and meticulous preparation, Sarang – a new creature by Simon Balestrazzi and Enrico Marani – debuts on Silentes with "The Dream of Earth". Balestrazzi is best known as the founding member of the historical Industrial / Experimental group T.A.C. and also for having been part of another very important formation of the international electronic/EBM scene, Kirlian Camera. Marani was also a member of the first T.A.C. formation: along with Vittore Baroni and the mysterious Manitu Rossi he then gave birth to the experimental collective Le Forbici di Manitu. In "The Dream of Earth" Marani mainly utilizes flutes, didgeridoo and percussion, while Balestrazzi takes care of a prepared ukulele and a VCS3, a semi-modular synthesizer that deserve its place in history for having characterized the sound of "The Dark Side of the Moon” by Pink Floyd. Accompanied by Alessandra Giura on bass flute, Clara Murtas on voice and Paolo Sanna on various ethnic instruments, the duo offers oriental sonorities and tribal atmospheres, following the coordinates of a primitive universe, where each sequence gets into our minds and dilates boundaries. Reinventing the structures and enriching them with a disturbing emotional tension, Sarang reclaims the "trance & drones" parameters by combining them with ethnic influences into a skillfully balanced screenplay. Schperrung -- "Hvor" -- CD-R -- €9
2012 Ufa Muzak, UFA58, (ltd. 100)
Black shoogaze / Drone doom. Once comes a day when everything goes away - drowns in red and apeears the pulse overgrowing even the deafening heartbeat, this contrasting sole-coloured background presses without relief, penetrates blending with blood and something nonmaterial. This critical stage of dissolution can last forever, until Saturn, the 6th planet from the Sun, starts to budge from its orbit. Until this moment you can wait infinitely long, making your way through the narrow steppes down to the depths of your secret cave. This scarlet album of the Ukrainian project Schperrung is dedicated to the permanent state of beclouded mind, these heavy minutes filled with doubts, sweat and screams squeeze out something incredibly beautiful and dark. The beauty of suffering is praised by this music which can't be characterized by any known style. Ringing spheres of overdriven electricity, remote clatter, feedback, delay, unintelligible voice of the leper. The new Middle Age suggests bloodletting to be cured from the disease. Veins stripped, and scalpel makes first cut... 9 tracks, 36 minutes, pro-CDR, 6 panel sleeve. [press-release]

For multiple listening during the working day. Digital version of this album is released by Spasi I Sohrani Records in handmade package of technical paper. [press-release]

T-Wald -- "Luzifers Hofgesind" -- CD-R -- €9
2012 Ufa Muzak, UFA55 / Skalde Jord, SKALDE-01, (ltd. 120)
Esoteric dark ambient. The new album of the project hiding behind the new mask, but not losing the mystic connection with the mythological codes of the North. In this new album the author's talent discloses the themes of authors-avatars of occult researches of the origins of "forbidden magical belief". Sounds that seem infinite flow, but they can't fill up the magic cup reflecting sunrays with gold. It exists, and at the same time it's just an illusion used to braid the false myth to protect the truth from pharisee's hands. T-Wald invites to visit its artificial forest maze, but the golden thread of Ariadna is too thin to follow it and find the way out escaping the face of the Beast. This is an action where meistersang, creator of this sound lithography of the sacred Lucifer, makes hommage by concluding the vassal agreement between this and the other worlds. Slowly, silently falls the curtain, but before that important things should happen, don't miss them. 9 tracks, 52 minutes, pro-CDR, 4-panel cardboard sleeve + transparent film insert. [press-release]

Tarab -- "Shards Of Splinters - Fragments Of Scratches / Killustiku Killud - Kriimude Killud" -- CD -- €10
2012 Semperflorens, sf09, (ltd. 500)
"The three tracks on this CD have been arranged from sounds collected while on residency at MoKS in the village of Mooste, Southern Estonia in November 2008. This is not so much a documention of Mooste and its surrounds, but more the by-product of my interaction with, and response to, what I found there. I played with and within what I came across and made no attempt at a distanced objectivity. I can lay no claim to any great or unique insight into the life of the village. As an outsider passing through I fear that would be a little hubristic. Instead, I poked around in empty buildings; crawled around in the debris; sat in cold fields and under bridges; listened to frozen leaves fall on the frozen ground and overheard conversations about what I have no idea. Somehow trying to let it all soak in. This part of the world has a past that is still physically visible and present. Like everywhere, if you pay attention and/or search hard enough?? Especially as winter set in it had a definite weightiness, life has been and can still be hard. But it is a special place. There is a darkness, but also a very particular calmness and beauty. I hope both these are evident in this piece. I met people during my stay who all had their various affects on the outcome of this work. Whether through helping me to explore - creating sound together and the many conversations - or by sharing the various domestic necessities. To them I give much thanks." [Eamon Sprod]

Ultrapolyarnoe Vtorzhenie -- "Formirovanie Ne-Smertiya" -- CD-R -- €9
2012 Ufa Muzak, UFA54 / Shum Sturm Proizvodstvo, SSP-003, (ltd. 100)
Apocalyptic industrial noise/ Post-military ambient. "The one who discovered the knowledge of death too early will not be able to close oneself to it..." The album "Formirovanie Ne-Smertiya" ("Forming of Non-Deathness") is a profound Decree of Peace, where death acts as an anonymous party, a path for the chosen and obsessed ones, near the walls which noone should break, because what lies beyond them is not for humans. The front localizes souls, depriving their carriers of all that belongs to those left after the war, so the game rules mean something different here. Both stake and gain in this game are unknown. About the album. Roughly sewn from the skins by coarse sinews of corpses, digged out from the desecrated mound, all in soil and slimy swarming worms, it was confiscated and brought to the autopsy table, this mistake was understood and even the most faithless ones crossed themselves, they filed it under "music" and hid themselves to wait for the darkness cherishing a dream of self-asphyxia. A host of screams, yells, wailing, praying, groan came out of the mortuary with the songs of this Russian project. Rough heavy slabs of ambient, noise and post-industriall fall over one's head leaving no room for doubts "if hell really exists?" 8 tracks, 52 minutes, pro-CDR, 4-panel cardboard sleeve + sticker. [press-release]

Cold Fusion -- "Simmetria" -- CD -- €10

Symmetry perceived as some kind of balance and harmony. Symmetry between surrounding world and its "mirror reflection", which sticks in our minds. Symmetry of left and right side, day and night, birth and death. Symmetry of buildings, objects, bodies. biquitous symmetry. Brand new album of Cold Fusion reflets ist theme - dynamic, marching atmosphere from one side, melancholy and reverie from another. Illusory lack of symmetry or rather its confirmation? 11 tracks, 44.30 minutes comes in nice digipack designed by Michal Karcz. [press-release]

Delphium -- "Darkfloor EP" -- 7" -- €6
The Ceiling, CEIL024, (ltd. 500)
Britain's Delphium have been active since the early '90s, with a steady stream of releases, including three CDs, and enough vinyl EPs to drain the planet's petroleum supply for good. Delphium's music has always been hard to peg (frustrating for critics, but wonderful for the aurally adventurous), while easily identifiable as Delphium: sampled rhythms that misbehave in an uncommonly organic way, deep and churning basslines, melodic fragments of melody, and abrasive textures. Terms like "post-rock" and "industrial" have been used quite often by the press, but one can also hear the group's affection for dub and punk-rock roots. That big mouthful said, their past has always been a take-off point for new vistas, as evidenced on the new recordings for this EP. "Bleep 27" is one of the most aggressive tracks Delphium have recorded: jungle rhythms sped and roughened up to an almost-grindcore pitch, wayward basslines that sound like they will snap loose from the track at any moment, and a generally loud assault on the cranium. "Kill.All.Scooter.Riders" is almost happy in comparison, and highlights the group's affection for common 303 and 909 textures, but placed in such unconventional patterns, that they sound as alien as they originally sounded before they became commonplace. "Green Lane With Delphium" may have the most relation with previous recordings. A longer, more complex piece, featuring basslines and sampled rhythms that don't swing so much as lurch, along with some beautifully echoing musical fragments and a queasy string overlay. If dance music stopped being made for the ecstasy crowd, and instead for those who abuse stuff found in their parent's medicine cabinet, this would be it. [label info]

Desiderii Marginis -- "Seven Sorrows" -- CD -- €14
2007 Cold Meat Industry, cmi173, (ltd. 2000)
Seven Sorrows is the sixth album by the renowned swedish dark-ambient project Desiderii Marginis, and a most eagerly awaited follower to the highly acclaimed album of 2005, That Which Is Tragic And Timeless. With the material on Seven Sorrows Johan Levin, the mind behind Desiderii Marginis, has dug deeper than ever before within the creative depths and so ventures even further into the darklands of dispair and solitude, deeper into the vibrant shadows of the human mind. Since the very debute in 1993, Desiderii Marginis has, with every new offering, refined and reinvented the trademark sound, and this release is no exception to the rule. Strummed guitars and dulcimers blend seamlessly with soaring strings, raging drones, the sound of twisted metal and spoken word. Diverse sources, yet tamed to an intriguing and alluring whole that slowly spin it’s web around the helpless listener and drags them into the vortex of dreamlike darkness. First 2000 copies in a 6-panel digipak, artwork photos taken by the exceptional photographer Birthe Klementowski. [press-release]

Haus Arafna -- "Butterfly" -- CD -- €15
2003 Galakthorrö 014
Third album is finally here, after five years delay. New Haus Arafna album... well, it's very different from all previous works. Some of you who already had opportunity to listen "Fur Immer" 7"-single will definitely understand what I mean. The old fans should be amazed. No, there is even more fascination of the beyond and general darkness. Just like the prominent horror movie which is well done without dead bodies, blood streams and other superficial features of borrowed violence - no need for that while really frightening. All the senses are submerged into fathomless pit of human soul, still continuing torture and threaten with inexplicable force. An awful prophecy and damnable firmness - a bitter grin turns to deadly mask. This album is not so easy to understand, for me it took at least five times to play it back again and again, then something more or less distinct began to standing up against me. On the other hand, there are many people who didn't heard any previous Haus Arafna song, the new generation - seems that for them "Butterfly" should be more accessible. I even think that it could bring much new flesh into the fans camp. According to musicians, this is their first album sincerelly devoted to the true love sense, and logical develpement out of previous releases - like it always was and, I hope so, always will be. Haus Arafna -- "Children Of God" -- CD -- €15
1998 Galakthorrö 008
The second album of legendary German angst-pop band. Horror from the dark corners of consciousness, rage, putrid cold and absolute electronic insanity. "Our paralysed Agnesle with the pretty hydrocephalus learns to speak only to tell her heart's desire: let me die in gas".

Haus Arafna -- "New York Rhapsody" -- CD -- €15
2011 Galakthorrö, Galakthorrö 028
This is no typical Haus Arafna album. It has already celebrated its premiere in September 2009 as part of the New York Fashion Week. Haus Arafna had accepted the offer to create the soundtrack for a show featuring the fashion designer Katie Gallagher. Somewhat of an unusual venture into a new environment, and in front of a new audience, this was obviously an exciting challenge for creative artistes, and for “Industrialists”, considering the extreme style of expression, a very pleasurable experience. The emphasis laid on the various elements on this album is different to that of the earlier releases. That is why Haus Arafna has preferred to delay the issue of “New York Rhapsody” until after the release of the “official” album “You”. Angst-Synthesizer, raw electricity, metal percussion, artfully reduced electronic textures and unusual vocal performances combine into a “sound from the Abyss” with deep ritual undertones. No sign of “Screams’n’Shouts” here. Instead Haus Arafna has created Angst-Pop hits and Industrial Monsters with an extra dose of darkness, almost as if the March into Destruction has to be sweetened somewhat. Well-dressed, of course... CD in jewel case with 12 page booklet incl. all lyrics. [press-release]

The Infant Cycle -- "A Mysterious Disc" -- CD-R -- €7
2009 The Ceiling, CEIL032
A disc mysterious (the very first one in the series of mysterious discs by The Infant Cycle). The release has not a single letter on the sleeve or the media.

The Infant Cycle -- "The Sand Rays" -- CD -- €10
2009 Diophantine Discs, n = 20, (ltd. 500)
We're happy to introduce the new full-length record from The Infant Cycle. The Sand Rays is to be played from the outside to the center, from whichever edge you choose. The Sand Rays is pinball rhythm reverberations from sliced vinyl record playout grooves, gravelly surface vibrations. The Sand Rays is exploiting broken cords, near-empty batteries, half-broken equipment. We loved it and think you will too. Just be prepared to be a bit more confused when it is all over, but don't worry: you'll be too busy wiping that silly grin off your face because you had such a fun time... The Infant Cycle, active since 1992, is the brainchild of Jim DeJong. He has released material on such labels as Drone, EE Tapes, Hands, Moloko+, Afe, Zhelezobeton, Blade, Abgurd, and his own The Ceiling. Additionally he is a former member of Mind Skelp-cher and (as The Infant Cycle) has collaborated with numerous artists including Aidan Baker, Orphx, and Dronaement. [press-release]

The Infant Cycle / Antmanuv -- "Periodical III" -- 3"CD-R -- €6
2006 The Ceiling, CEIL031, (ltd. 80)
THE INFANT CYCLE presents more "Unrelated Work Tapes" - part of series of that is both deeply interconnected (to other parts and future and past Infant Cycle tracks), yet can be heard on their own. Like much of the Ceiling catalogue, what is seemingly chaos later reveals itself as something else, and features much of the Infant Cycle's uneasy balance between abrasive textures, and quiet meditation - a balance often on the verge of tipping over. Over the past few years, ANTMANUV has created a diverse body of work in many different mediums. On this release, he has contribued a piece of wholly organic sound, a dense and growing entity of everyday sounds propelled into a hypnotic sphere of the familiar moved into unfamiliar territory. Kopp, Hermann -- "Under a Demon's Mask" -- CD -- €15
2008 Galakthorrö 021
Everybody who has seen the Buttgereit films Nekromantik 1+2 and Todesking, has heard of Hermann Kopp. The music he wrote and performed for them is ever-present, pervading the atmosphere and has contributed considerably to the advancement of these films into classics. He still retains to this day his exceptional musical ability, and proves it yet again. Galakthorrö is proud to be able to present 13 new songs from the nekrodramatist: more than 40 minutes of new material, which today – just as it did then – has as its core his dissonantly tempered and individualistic violin playing. Combined with electronics, a host of weird instruments and metal percussion he creates an unequalled gruesome opus, carried by an effectively conceived minimalism, and the most beautiful and haunting Angst melodies imaginable. So morbid and wonderful in fact, that we have to ask ourselves how we could manage to survive for so long without any new material from Hermann Kopp – and which demons were riding him that he had to keep us waiting so long. CD in matt finish digipac, 20-page booklet incl. all texts and lyrics. [press-release]

Maska Genetik -- "Strada" -- CD -- €15
2011 Galakthorrö, Galakthorrö 027
“I’ve reached the limits of my strength” said Amon Radek, and set off in search of a new life. There was to be no place for Maska Genetik, it was too much of a torture to justify those high standards he insisted on. We were astounded and couldn’t believe it, and so we held his album back for some considerable time. Perhaps he wanted urgently to replace one of the songs? An artist of course, has his sensibilities, and a Russian has an additional inbred melancholy. So let us not be too hasty. Over the years we have certainly fulfilled our role as inheritance trustees, and so now we present his first and probably last album. It is all the more regretful, because Maska Genetik represented a pinnacle in the history of Galakthorrö, for us and for many of our listeners. This is obviously the case with Strada. There are songs to be heard that were created before, and after, the sought-after Quarantine EP. Radek’s inner conflicts and his very real suffering have shaped his Angst Pop into its own unique form. We are not presented with self-pity, but with anger and a deep sorrow, at a world fashioned by mankind, in which a future for humanity is hard to imagine... CD in jewel case with 8 page booklet. November Novelet -- "Magic" -- CD -- €15
2007 Galakthorrö 019
This magically-charged jewel of electronic music consists of twelve new songs. The analogue foundation combines with electric vibraphone and 8-bit surrealism transformed into sound. Melancholic synthesiser melodies and the ethereal voice of Mrs. Arafna melt into a fragile beauty with emotional depth. Unpretentious and lost, a gripping experience. In spite of all this exploration of the depths, there is also the opportunity to roll up the carpet. Mr. and Mrs. Arafna have conjured up a few dance hits, which because of their minimalism and cultured morbid charm, should kick off the party mood for the creatures of the night. These contrast well with the slow pieces – tinged with a breath of experimentation, resulting in a many-facetted, and at the same time very balanced, Angst Pop album. The long time in waiting for the release of this new record will soon be forgotten in sheer listening pleasure. CD in de luxe matt finish gatefold digipac plus 16-page booklet incl. all lyrics. Rukkanor -- "Despartica - Face One" -- CD -- €10
2007 War Office Propaganda / Rage In Eden, WOP44
Despartica is a collection of impressions, situations and moments in life. The particular parallel between lyrics based on old poetry, and all this what happens nowadays, creates often the atmosphere of bitter reflection and irony. Desires, beliefs, dreams, emotions, experiences, beauty of life and sight of inevitable death in 19th and 20th Century poems "framed" in varied music, from strong industrial rhythms to romantic ballads with melancholic recitations and singing. Yet another different chapter in Rukkanor's musical book. First part of double CDs set - "Despartica - Face One" is now available. 10 songs, 45 minutes, CD in digipack. [press-release]
