CD-R/CD

1000schoen -- "Moune" -- CD -- €13
2010 Nitkie, patch four, (ltd. 500)
MOUNE is a very old word for MOON, comes out of a old language that was spoken in Germany. But it’s not german, it’s Friesisch. Anyway, the moon theme is one of favourite topics in mystic circles around dark ambient genre. For Helge Siehl, who is the driving force of 1000schoen since the time he split his way with the other two former Maeror Tri members, it’s definitely one of the most important subject - in his paintings, photos and music. This album, presenting the program of his first ever russian tour in December 2010 (with Troum and Feine Trinkers Bei Pinkels Daheim), shows more ambient side of 1000schoen, leaving rhythmic path aside in favor of menacing sounds of highly personal moon rising visions. Moreover, it’s actually debut CD of this prominent german artist, who previously released his music mostly on limited/private edition CDRs. Featuring 3 tracks, with total running time of 45 minutes. 2006 BLACK ORCHID Productions, #53

Bjerga, Sindre -- "I Never Promised You A Rose Garden" -- 3"CD-R -- €7
2007 dirtydemos, dirtyCDR 017
Catacomb tapestry on the border of drone ambient and droning noise, performed on metal junk with the wide use of slow tape playback technique. Very nice lo-fi release. [YAOP]

Bjerga, Sindre -- "Northern Enlightenment" -- CD-R -- €7
2009 Pjorn 72, pjorncd0024 / Piped-in From Head Office, pifho010, (ltd. 60)
Ethereal twinkles twinkle, sub-marine rumbles rumble, and glacial winds wind their way to an ecstatic final five minutes of layered drone. Turn it up and sit the fuck down. [label info]

Borisov, Alexei -- "Before The Evroremont" -- CD -- €9   [-50%]
2002 N&B Research Digest, NBRD-04
One long track assembled very much like a surreal, unsettling, even hysterical audiocollage lamenting the replacement of soviet esthetics with west european consumerism. Environmental sounds (radio, telephone conversations, sawing, hammering, drilling, clattering), distorted guitars and disrupted computer wizardry resulting in post-constructivism with a beat. [Fulldozer]

Cavum Oris -- "Demo 2005" -- CD-R -- €7
2005 self-released, (ltd. 30)
Aggressive politisized Power Electronics from the creator of Les Mort Skin. "Mouth is the organ of protest." Handmade cardboard sleeve. [YAOP]

Cyclotimia -- "Wasteland" -- CD -- €10
2002/2005 Irond, IROND CD 05-1065
"We started to record 'Wasteland' in the end of 1999. We were inspired by the album 'The City' by Vangelis. A view of the Greek composer on modern city looked unreasonably "optimistic" to us... The idea of creating a soudtrack more suitable for contemporary megalopolis was born immediately. Impenetrable veil of stone buildings, blinding neon advertising lights, continual informational streams, supermarkets, stockmarkets, all-round crowds of ever scurrying people and cars... This was the picture of our "city". The recording took about twelve months, and by the beginning of 2001 the work was completely done. Listening to 'Wasteland' after five years we tend to consider that despite some technical imperfection our goal has been reached. It's worth mentioning that there's something more in common with Vangelis' work - we deliberately used some same sound libraries of the BBC company which sound in 'The City' album too. It's a strange case when the CD can apply both to the fans of "old school" electronics, i.e. Klaus Schulze, Vangelis, Tangerine Dream, and to the lovers of ominous darkness like Raison d'Etre, In Slaughter Natives, Lustmord, Bad Sector, Coil, Skinny Puppy." [from the authors] The album was originall released in 2002 by now defunct German label Stateart, and in 2005 reissued by Russian company Irond.

Dense Vision Shrine -- "Time Lost In Oblivion" -- CD + DVD -- €15
2009 First Fallen Star, ffs001, (ltd. 500)
Having created music for many years under such project names as Arcane Art, Penitent, and Defraktor, Karsten Hamre returns in 2009 with the simultaneous release of "Through the Eyes of a Stranger" and Dense Vision Shrine's "Time Lost in Oblivion" - both on First Fallen Star! Although it mysteriously shares a similar title and artwork with "Lost Time in Oblivion" (2007, Desolate Sonorities), "Time Lost in Oblivion" is a completely new album with no known connection to the 2007 release! Building upon a solid foundation of dark ambient, Dense Vision Shrine also employs sampled sounds and sparse rhythm to carefully design the listening experience of a realm where time itself has stopped, of a blackened voyage into oblivion. Each track of the album is distinctive, yet always possessing the signature of Dense Vision Shrine and proving unmistakably bleak. Even a seemingly benign track title like "The Girl Next Door" is in fact found to be quite ominous and devoid of any hope! "Time Lost in Oblivion" is presented in a DVD case with professionally pressed CD and professionally printed artwork, limited to 1,000 copies! The first 500 copies are presented in a 2 disc DVD case with a professionally pressed bonus DVD (PAL format), also titled "Time Lost in Oblivion," that takes the viewer on a visual journey of imagery used for live performances! [press-release]

Esche -- "s/t" -- CD-R -- €7
2010 Alarmstufe, (ltd. 44)
Black & white cover imitates bizarre interweaving of branches. By the was, Esche means ash-tree in German. So it's not surprising is we see this particular tree on the album's cover. And that this tree - the great tree of the world in Scandinavian mythology - throws a shadow on the whole creative work of the project. Listen to the track titles: "SheLESt", "V Suhih Kronah", "Sonmh". First and the longest (25 min) track starts to draw the listener in its thicket with mysterious drones interlarded with multiply echoed clappers, shakers and other tinkling and cracking rhythmic noise effects. Sometimes this resembles shamanic rituals of the Finnish hermits from the Aural Hypnox label. The magic atmosphere gets thicker and finally materializes itself in looped rattle of wooden percussion and swooningly sonorous trembling of leaves. The green ocean rolls with waves of monotonous rustling somewhere high over the head. Track number two - V Suhih Kronah - combines field recordings (someone's steps, crackling of dry lop), gurgling electronics, blasting of mouth harp and some piercing sound keeping the listener in tension. The final track is a noise canvas, babel of sounds and timbres, mixed together. A host of impersonal voices, rushing in resonant spaces of a foreigner's dream. [Radiodrone]

Haus Arafna -- "You" -- CD -- €15
2010 Galakthorrö, Galakthorrö 025
"You" is an album of contrasts and leads the listener along carefully selected levels of suspense through the full gamut of the Arafna-esque art of sound creation. The spectrum extends from dark jewels which permeate nerve and brain, to great boulders which avalanche their way through the intestines. A peculiar hybrid of various Industrial Music styles forming a malicious monster, remarkable for its changeability and the unexpected. Difficult to control, cunningly applied analogue electronics meet sawing Angst-synthesizer ensembles ingeniously accompanying scream, -speech, -distortion vocals to the beat of noise and steel. That has proved itself, but today’s music from Haus Arafna is generally more advanced, more to the point. All probably created just for "You". CD in jewel case with 16 page booklet. [press-release]

I: Wound vs. Origami Galaktika -- "Fashion Music For The 21st Century" -- CD-R -- €7
2005 BLACK ORCHID Productions, 043
The recording of a radio show "Experimenta" 04.04.2000 on Norwegian radio. A collaboration of show presenter Benny (Origami Galaktika) and German project I: Wound. Electronic concrete ambient, field recordings, synthesized landscapes, rhythmical IDM fragments. A sleeve. [YAOP]

Illusion Of Safety -- "Bridges Intact" -- CD -- €16
2010 Waystyx, WR 69, (ltd. 324)
New album of Illusion Of Safety was recorded preliminary with piano, guitar, electronics and sound processing devices. Abstract tonal and atonal improvisations share the sonic continuum with background drones, rasps and gentle noises, and they do it in highly unpredictable surreal way: mild "melodies" turn into energetic uneasy passages being interrupted by "concrete" sonic romp evolving into spatial drone and electronic landscapes... and all this whirl continues during the whole CD increasing the degree of abstractness and psychedelia as it moves towards the end, which is presented in a form of beautiful harmonic composition.

Jerman, Jeph & Doug Theriault -- "Tathata" -- CD -- €13
2010 Nitkie, patch one, (ltd. 500)
Tathata is a central concept in Buddhism, literally translated from sanskrit as "thusness" or "suchness". Tathata expresses appreciation of the true nature of reality in any given moment. As no moment is exactly the same, each one can be savored for what occurs at that precise time, whether it is thought of as being good or bad. However, Jeph Jerman and Doug Theriault are trying to give us the possibility to meditate on this word, they recorded three long improvised pieces for the same-titled album. Jeph plays acoustic sources (stones, health balls, metals, sticks etc) and Doug played guitar and processed it with his laptop. The music is very quiet, the sparse and spontaneous movements reveals the silence playing the main role between abstract sound gestures. It seems so that the musicians have no intent to produce music, which can express certain ideas or follow the process, thus it's setting free your mind and clear it from any predominant thoughts. In fact, it's a new direction of perceiving the environment, the musicians share with some sounds, originated far from the complex pseudoreality programming, it's mostly intuition. Another important step to understanding the musical ecology, to reach the point where anything can be taken apart from everything else. [press-release]

Klinikal Skum -- "Chosen Powerless" -- CD -- €11
2009 Expectorant Recordings, EXP005
First pressed CD of the project by Ryan Oppermann (Redrot, Neuntoter Der Plage, etc.). Five tracks of abrasive death industrial: faint melodies, distant voices, lulling pulsations to feel yourself in a spell of paranoidal schizophrenia. Kotra -- "Revolt" -- CD -- €10   [-50%]

Lebensessenz -- "Die Letzten Momente Von Werther" -- CD-R -- €7
2010 Valgriind, VG 42, (ltd. 120)
The new work by this neoclassic project is dedicated to the novel of J.W.Goethe "Die Leiden des jungen Werther" (1774) which describes the German reality of XVIII century and the dramatic personal feelings of main character who ends up with suicide. This novel brought fame to Goethe, none of the books of that time were read that much by the contemporaries as this novel. The circulation of the novel cased an epidemy of following suicides in Europe, which was later called the Werther effect. This effect was so strong that some of the countries had to prohibit the distribution of the book. "..Zum Bleiben ich, zum Scheiden du, erkoren, Giingsit du voran - und hast nicht viel verloren.." Mister Vapor -- "Light And Vapor" -- CD-R -- €7
2009 Black Drone, BDRL003, (ltd. 100)
Thomas Park (mainly known for his project Mystified) continues his sound experimentations under the name Mister Vapor. "Light And Vapor" is a sequence of five processed field recording episodes evolving one into another and featuring rhythmic inclusions interwoven with noise of the outside world. Feelings of loneliness and uncertainty will capture the listener from the very beginning and will not let go 'til the very end. [label info]

Mushy -- "Superfetazione" -- CD-R -- €9
2009 FinalMuzik, FMSS08, (ltd. 150)
Long awaited full length CDr album by Mushy, the girl from Rome. Mushy is well-known in Italy for her live concerts and for an older CDr on Cold Current label. “Superfetazione” shows / expands her genuine interest and work on early 80's industrial music scene, shadowy electronics and vocal experimentation, mixing together anxiously all these influences though a deep soundtrack, where everyday life and paranoia walk hand in hand, nervously. [Old Europa Cafe]

Nehil, Seth / JGrzinich -- "Stria" -- CD -- €11
2002 Erewhon, CDWhON008
Seth Nehil and John Grzinich have been sound collaborators since 1994 when they began the electroacoustic ensemble Alial Straa. In 1998 they initiated a process of recording and experimentation that would result in a pair of full-length cds. The seed of the project originated in Austin, Texas with location specific recordings of found objects played by groups of people.. In the end, it had expanded into a three-year, transcontinental exchange of intensive interaction, questioning and dialogue... The exploratory focus of stria/confluence is the idea of resonance; the phenomenon of natural vibrations that give rise to intensified or stable structures within sound bodies and fields. In the production of these works, the composers' approached resonance in both the acoustic sound behavior and the social phenomenon in group interaction and/or participation within the context of sound generating activities. It was again applied to the studio in the use of massive multiplications and layerings, resulting in deeply transforming, evolutionary sound fields... These records extend the perspective elaborated by both artists through their previous solo and collaborative work (as can be heard on Seth's releases on Kaon, Alluvial and 20 City, or John's duet with mnortham on Staalplaat and Orogenetics). These works further an interest in physical materials and natural acoustics which are consequently composed into imbedded, altered and engaging structures. Taking form with the integrity of a living organism, these pieces invite the listener to find his way through the reticulated and stratified development of a subtly unfolding, organic sound-body. Nikkila, Anton -- "White Nights" -- CD -- €8   [-50%]
2002 N&B Research Digest, NBRD 005

It begins with a light ethnic-influenced "Empty Fields", continuing with a melancholic dark ambient part featuring "Violence And Sorrow" - a contrast composition with classic motives, abstract and haunting "Building The Hell", and ritualistic "Sacrifice". The album is concluded with, again, an ethnic improvisation " When my koto is alone..." Koto is a wonderfully sounding japanese traditional string instrument. [press-release]

Sunset Wings -- "Covering for Solace" -- CD -- €10   [-50%]
2009 Wrotycz Records, WRT 009, (ltd. 1000)
“Covering for Solace", a debut album of a Ko"nigsberg-based band "Sunset Wings", is a widely opened window to the world of neo-folk music. Inspired by pearls of English romantic poetry together with traditional ballads of the British isles and the art of Pre-Raphaelites as well, this album takes you to a marvelous journey in the land of children dreams, sweet sorrow and melancholy. Silver strings of acoustic guitars and tender violin, deep cello sounds and warm flute, harmonica, brilliant piano, brightly sparkling percussion and music-boxes create a golden setting for the gems of William Blake, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Rudyard Kipling, Thomas Lovell Beddoes.. Lulled by Kipling's "White Seal" and gentle MacManus' "Softly now the Burn is Rushing", you will be dipped into a sleep together with nature in Rossetti's "Proserpine", feel the inexpressible sorrow of the loss of a lover in his "Death-Parting" and John Gay's "Ballad". Falling leaves and snow cover the earth, waving trees speak with a breeze.. Would the echo sigh Farewell? Whom should we pray now? And should we?... But nevertheless the flowers are dying, pure souls are on their path to the immortal light, and melancholy is perceived as a possibility to create a beauty around us. Despite the sorrow of lyrics the music of this album more often is rather bright and fulfilled with sweet nostalgic melancholy, it should bring solace and serenity to the tired hearts. "Covering for Solace" is a river of caressing tenderness, the river of enchanting melodies that flows "amid the beaming of love's stars" to the sea of Harmony under the eastern sky... With it's particular sound and temper, "Sunset Wings" will definitely take it's place among famous Russian dark-folk bands, such as "Neutral" and "Romowe Rikoito" (some of "Romowe Rikoito" musicians were invited to take part in this record). All the fans enchanted by the musical craft of Mr. Michael Cashmore won't be dissapointed as well... Comes in a 4 panel Digipack with 12 pages booklet including all the lyrics and charming paintings by Natalia Krutcina. [press-release]

Sva Battalion -- "NAC" -- 3"CD-R -- €7
2010 Strely Peruna Prod., SP023, (ltd. 40)
Strely Peruna Prod. present new mini-album "NAC" from the project SVA BATTALION. SB continues to develop the line of conceptual noise dedications, and "NAC" is a present time view on probably the most sanguinary and cynical fragment in the history of tsar's Russia - RSFSR - Russia - the red terror. Destruction for misty future of what has been done in the past. Terror as coverage for weakness, terror as coverage for incapacity. Corresponding the rage of those events, the album was recorded in rage! No computer or synthesized sounds! Only harshness of bare wires, distorted acoustic guitar and a microphone. The album also features reconstructed audio remembrances from the times of the "red terror". Heavy electronics / noise. A curious fetish of that evil times, a giving and punishing fetish was Nagant revolver, which marking sign we used in the artwork. [press-release]

2010 Quasi Pop Records, QPOP CS054, (ltd. 100)
This one is Quasi Pop’s first cassette release since 2007 although there are much more tapes to be released soon... I have asked Joke about collage/tape manipulation material and he did his best on that way. “The Phone People” is based on sounds/voices from answering machines, collaged with wierd noises of rewirding tapes, glitch melodies, “electronic” samples, dumb melodies ect. For my personal taste this music is less noise, though more musique concrete, often in psychedelic, dramatical or ironic way... Real-time dubbed cassettes on HiFi cassette decks. Professionally printed O-Cases on recycled paper. [press-release]

Dark Industrial Noise / Ambient from Russia. [label info]

Bardoseneticcube -- "Naegleria Fowlery" -- CD -- €11
2007 Blade Records, wmda071, (ltd. 300)
This strange and extremely varied disc opens with a track which whirls in and out of The Caretaker’s “Haunted Ballroom”-style samples with piercing electronics. Moving onwards we encounter dense rhythmic industrial pieces and experimental electronics - all the while chasing the thread of eccentric samples and searing white noise. Limited to just 300 hand-numbered copies in an outsized foldout package. A great, if unusual, piece from the Russian outfit. [Cold Spring Records description]

Brandkommando -- "Love Forever" -- CD-R -- €9
2007 Deserted Factory, DF039, (ltd. 100)
During the last years a small community of musicians and labels in Poland have come into existence, who are creating dissonate sonic sculptures in the tradition of bands/musicians like Whitehouse, Non, Merzbow or Slogun. Brandkommando, a Polish one-man unit who is not really unknown in the power noise underground. This album has been released in 2007 on the Japanese avantgarde label Deserted Factory and 'Love Forever' consits of seven songs. Song titles like 'Massmord', 'Tortured' or 'Slaugheter' give a small hint that this album is not really about love but more about the dark sides of the human nature. The music is as uncomfortable as the song-titles, and everyone who's not into this kind of sound will be forced to push the stop-button after the first song. All those who are into the above mentioned groups will love this album. Heavy soundwaves with a hefty distortion unfold an intensive and uncomfortable drone and sometimes a subtle rhythm creeps through this textures. 'Elaborat Pseudofilozoficzny' is accompanied by martial and monotonous percussion, while a track like 'Tortured' showcases Brandkommando from an extreme aggressive side. At times a heavy distorted voice is breaking through the massive sound, but almost the complete album is instrumental. What all songs have in common is the fact that they're very hypnotic and kaleidoscopic, due to different integrated sounds. 'Love Forever' is dynamic, sinister and varied listening experience with songs that are mostly about the ten minutes mark. Wrapped up in an unusual cover artwork the new album of BRANDKOMMANDO offer more than just pure noise, especially when you're not only a casual listener. This is really mind-altering music. Dead Raven Choir -- "Selenoclast Wolves" -- CD -- €11
2006 God is Myth Records, GIM018
What can be said about the amazing Dead Raven Choir that hasn't been said already? This release marks the return of D.R.C. after a slew of releases on some very respectable cd-r labels, not to mention 2003's "Wine, Women and Wolves" cd (Last Visible Dog) as well as last years "Cask Strength Black Metal" 3 LP box set (Weird Forest) which was a re-issue of ALL of the "Choir's" ugly, noisy, totally fuzzed out black metal on vinyl format. Smolken returns to the dark, avante-garde neo-folk side of Dead Raven Choir that has made this such a unique and awe inspiring musical journey. Selenoclast Wolves is an album that runs the gammet of emotions; Whether it be the creepy lurch and sway of the track "The Silence", the brooding melancholy of "When Men Die", or the sheer manic violence of "I am Not a Recluse" the common feeling throughout is one of complete isolation. As a bonus this cd will contain the complete re-issue of the "Lesbian Corpse Wolves" album which was limited to ONLY 30 copies. All completely re-mastered by Frederic Arbour (Cyclic Law, Visions, Longing for Dawn). On "Lesbian Corpse Wolves" most of the vocals were handled by the beautiful voice of Emily Salvatierra. Aversion Online once said of this release that these "...dark, folk-ish compositions rely heavily on picking accents and clashing notes that are both melodic and completely discordant all at once..." and we could not agree more. Now lets all raise a glass (or goblet perhaps?) and thank Mr. Smolken for resurrecting his fascinating project once again!!! [label info]

Different State -- "Through The Falling Eyelid" -- CD -- €11
2010 Zoharum, ZOHAR 009-2
THROUGH THE FALLING EYELID is the newest full length of the Polish combo which now is composed by Marek Xavier Marchoff (tools, alchembient structures), Laura Marchoff (angelic voice), Jarek Szczyglak (guitar) and Keith Rudolf. Just like their tracks on "Spazmatic[k] Spell", the ten you find on this one present a wide array of atmospheres and sounds that span from the industrial ambient electronic atmospheres of the opening "Isolate: stone cold heart", to the retro electro industrial sounds of the closing "Manifest: through the falling eyelid", passing through the cinematic samples orchestration of "Project: verses without words" or the i.d.m./industrial experimentation of "Challenge: formal experimentation", the jazz/industrial improvisations of following "Damage: bleed from their souls" or the slow dub electronic industrial atmospheres of ""Signal: I'm out". Here and there you'll find light guitar solos or vocals that shyly contrast the paranoid atmosphere created. An album that needs time to be fully appreciated because sometimes it sounds fragmented but if you are in the mood for industrial experimental sounds, give it a try. [Chain D.L.K.]

Fanum & Vazhes -- "IR" -- CD-R -- €8
2010 Still*Sleep, CDR14
Thirty minutes of steady dense and tight (like molten bitumen or solidifying lava) "trademark" drone from Fanum, filled with hardly imperceptible movements of keys, mournful singing of duduk, bird voices and rustle of wind in the leaves, boiling of huge amount of water in which the listeners dives closer to the middle of the track, and voices recorded probably by Sergey Gabbasov (Vazhes) during his ethnographic trips to abandoned villages. I can call for help the words "natural ambient", and it will be quite relevant and characterizing the hidden events happening in the depth of the sonic mass and illustrating such processes as slow growth of grain, deliberate movements of shadows, dissolving items and substances in the water and something like this, invisible from the first glance and subject to the eternal cycles of the outside world. [maeror3.livejournal.com]

Goatvargr -- "s/t" -- CD -- €11
2006 Cold Spring Records, CSR65CD, (ltd. 1000)
A harsh journey of sound structures summoned from the deepest caverns of Hell by the scene's most prolific madmen, Nordvargr (SE) and Goat (USA). Working with each other's source material, they offer up a brutal and violent masterpiece. Not just a head on noise album, but a refined symphony of bestial lust, worship and violence. Goatvargr is an assault on the senses, appealing to both the metal and noise scenes (for fans of MZ.412). [press-release]

Goghal -- "Locations" -- CD-R -- €4
2008 B-rush, B-08, (ltd. 40)
This release of Belgian Goghal has strange history. Initially it has sent on the edition of half an hour juicy power-electronics but when I began to do circulation, it has suddenly told that does not want that people thought that Goghal should sound so, and has sent the new tracks which are being in the field of harsh noise. A severe sound. Registration: in a plastic envelope color insert, the information is written by hand on the form of payment for the electric power. [press-release]

Haus Arafna -- "Blut + Nachblutung" -- CD -- €15
2006 Galakthorrö, 006
Before someone else does it for us, we'd rather do it ourselves: the debut album from Haus Arafna is, after 11 years, once more available. In re-freshed sound quality, and with a new look: a 24 page monster booklet which is filled to the top with blood-enriched pictures and texts, with which the listeners can also enjoy themselves visually. In addition to the well-known "Trilogie des Blutes" from 1995, there are three bonus tracks ("Nachblutung"), to listen to, which also stem from this period. These have, however, only now been fully completed in order to be included in this re-issue from mr. and mrs. Arafna. [press release]

Haus Arafna -- "Butterfly" -- CD -- €15
2003 Galakthorrö 014
Third album is finally here, after five years delay. New Haus Arafna album... well, it's very different from all previous works. Some of you who already had opportunity to listen "Fur Immer" 7"-single will definitely understand what I mean. The old fans should be amazed. No, there is even more fascination of the beyond and general darkness. Just like the prominent horror movie which is well done without dead bodies, blood streams and other superficial features of borrowed violence - no need for that while really frightening. All the senses are submerged into fathomless pit of human soul, still continuing torture and threaten with inexplicable force. An awful prophecy and damnable firmness - a bitter grin turns to deadly mask. This album is not so easy to understand, for me it took at least five times to play it back again and again, then something more or less distinct began to standing up against me. On the other hand, there are many people who didn't heard any previous Haus Arafna song, the new generation - seems that for them "Butterfly" should be more accessible. I even think that it could bring much new flesh into the fans camp. According to musicians, this is their first album sincerelly devoted to the true love sense, and logical develpement out of previous releases - like it always was and, I hope so, always will be. Hoarfrost & Inner Vision Laboratory -- "Decline" -- CD -- €11
2010 Zoharum, ZOHAR 010-2
Both Hoarfrost and Inner Vision Laboratory are young projects, but it would be an understatement to call them 'newcomers.' Each of them has already released debut albums alongside numerous split releases, collaborations, web extended plays and compilation tracks. Thanks to them they gathered a substantial following among experimental music listeners. It was just a question of time when the men behind the projects would collaborate on a release. The result is 'Decline' – a tale of descending into the pits of madness in 8 parts. Inspired by two poems, 'Madman' and 'Modern Icarus,' takes you on a journey into the realms of dark thoughts. With such a clear concept, it's no wonder that the music is cinematic, thus slowly building images in the listener's head. Face the stillness, but remember: something is lingering in the corner. [label info]

The Infant Cycle / Dronaement -- "Split" -- CD-R -- €7
2008 Cohort Records, CRCD 127, (ltd. 100)

Interior Disposition -- "Melancholy Crescent" -- CD-R -- €8
2007 Still*Sleep, CDR04
Moscow-based project previously known as just ID which self-released nice album "Galaxys" sounded like local Bad Sector, has now widened the meaning of it's name and made a new release in a guest-series of Still*Sleep label. Space dreamy ambient with sometimes hostile and uneasy atmosphere. [Abgurd]

Interior Disposition & Sister Loolomie -- "s/t" -- CD-R -- €8
2009 Still*Sleep, CDR12
A collaboration between two Russian projects. The united sonic field of these 4 tracks harmonically meld together the characteristic features of both projects: hallucinogenic digital rasps and bright melancholic guitar tunes from Sister Loolomie and universal scale atmospheres of Interior Disposition. As a result we have beautiful and deep space ambient / drone.

Ion And Sophus -- "Three" -- CD-R -- €8
2008 Still*Sleep, CDR10
Third album of lo-fi ambient project of Sergey [s], just as gentle and fairy as previous two.

Juhning, Herz -- "Miasma" -- LP -- €25
2009 Galakthorrö 024, (ltd. 414)
After Herz Jühning has whetted the appetite of so many listeners with his Faces EP, Galakthorrö now is proud to be able to present Herz Jühning's first Longplayer. On Miasma he combines the kinetic energy of Power-Electronics with favourite ingredients from the witches'cauldron of Angst Pop. You will hear brutal bass-drones, nasty electrified currents, pumping analog rhythms and eerie frequency modulations. The sound elements have been ruthlessly selected to emphasise the reductive characteristics, and brought together around the incisive vocals to form an homogenous and complete work of art. Whether ailing popsongs, aggressive noise-attacks, or ominous sound experiments, all is artfully united in the 13 songs found on Miasma. Once more it is Jühning's no-frills arranging technique, that shows itself to be so highly effective on Miasma, just as it made Faces so successful. There is much to discover and Miasma will take the hearts of its listeners by storm! How could it not? 12" LP, black vinyl, sturdy cardboard cover, printed inner sleeve and insert card incl. all lyrics. [press-release]

Keranen -- "Green Car Crash" -- C-30 -- €6
2009 Erratic Sporadicism Tapes, EST.012
Finally new solo material from Finland's harsh noise wizard Tommi Keränen! After burying Rulla a few years back, he is known from his several supreme live shows, which truly compare with the legends of the genre in quality. The debut release under "Keränen" moniker shows the same intensity trasferred on a record... Two highly energetic tracks with rich details and multiple layers, creating a slowly evolving dense wall of sound. Side A is more organic with vibrating feedback and manipulated loops, while Side B has more electric approach. A finely crafted piece of harsh noise! HAIL ANALOG!.. High quality chrome tapes packaged in heavy duty card board box with four large inserts. [press-release]

Kopp, Hermann -- "Under a Demon's Mask" -- CD -- €15
2008 Galakthorrö 021
Everybody who has seen the Buttgereit films Nekromantik 1+2 and Todesking, has heard of Hermann Kopp. The music he wrote and performed for them is ever-present, pervading the atmosphere and has contributed considerably to the advancement of these films into classics. He still retains to this day his exceptional musical ability, and proves it yet again. Galakthorrö is proud to be able to present 13 new songs from the nekrodramatist: more than 40 minutes of new material, which today – just as it did then – has as its core his dissonantly tempered and individualistic violin playing. Combined with electronics, a host of weird instruments and metal percussion he creates an unequalled gruesome opus, carried by an effectively conceived minimalism, and the most beautiful and haunting Angst melodies imaginable. So morbid and wonderful in fact, that we have to ask ourselves how we could manage to survive for so long without any new material from Hermann Kopp – and which demons were riding him that he had to keep us waiting so long. CD in matt finish digipac, 20-page booklet incl. all texts and lyrics. [press-release]

Kratong -- "The Bees of Psychic Province" -- CD -- €10   [-50%]
2004 Wrotycz Records, WRT 001
KRATONG is a solo project of Jhonny, the guitarist of Romowe Rikoito (Prussia). All the nine tracks from "The Bees of Psychic Province" show us various musical inspiration of the artist. On this album you'll find song inspired by the middle ages, neo-folk music, ambient passages and even a rhytmic electro. Although the music is very complex every little sound created by the artist is neccesary here. Fomat: CD, A5 folding cover. [press-release]

Kylie Minoise -- "Telepathic Surge" -- 2 CD-R -- €4

Liver Mortis -- "Cut-Rate" -- C-40 -- €6
2009 Erratic Sporadicism Tapes, EST.009, (ltd. 155)
Liver Mortis (and the related label TF/PE) is one of the few newer American artists that has this truly twisted, perverted and violent aura radiating around them. Since the already great startup of the project in 2006 it has shown constant improvement. “Cut-rate” is again a step forward. Only two long tracks, but skillfully built up from short chapters in cut-up style. So there is actually a huge amount of material and sounds sinked into the tracks and composed to float forward. Low-end rumble, crackling synth, nasty feedback, dirty junk abuse, occasional buried vocals etc... High bias chrome tape with pro-printed covers. Also comes with 2-sided cardboard art insert. All this is sealed with special wrap covers and metal band. Handnumbered and limited to 155 copies. [press-release]

Lunyov, Svyatoslav -- "Para Pacem Para Bellum" -- CD -- €10   [-50%]
2006 Quasi Pop Records, QPOP CD037, (ltd. 500)
“Para Pacem Para Bellum” is the first CD release with the great music of Svyatoslav Lunyov's. That serious, highly emotional and spiritual work is the result of two general methods of creating music: academic tradition (scores, acoustic instruments and playing of the real musicians) and the contemporary/experimental way (generating, synthesis, editing with computer tools). Needs to say that this electro-acoustic work combines the well-known traditional elements of the Requiem, Passions and the Mass. There where the liturgical canon showes up just as the titles of some parts of the macrocycle. All the parts represent to some extent the variations of integral and unbroken melodic-harmonic complex. The whole work can be considered as a sort of chaconne. The main dramatical collision of this work develops on the level of interaction/contraposition between the natural acoustic sounds (the piano, organ and the strings) and the synthetic electronic timbres. [press-release]

Maaaa -- "Burning Kukkovka's Cock" -- MC -- €7   [-50%]
2008 Triangle, TR-041, (ltd. 41)
Completely acoustic album, recorded in an abandoned building standing in the woods near Kukkovka. This building was projected in the beginning of 90-s for a TV-center, but after all was desolated like many other neverending projects. In the last decade it has been visited mainly by the lovers of strong drinks and other mutants. During several record-sessions we have recorded some tracks inside the basement of the building, and on the roof too. This is power acoustics. A scream for destruction of the symbol. An international line-up: two Karelians, one Finnish and one Pole bawl and destroy stone, glass and iron. Limited to 41 copies. [press-release]

Majdanek Waltz -- "About the Origin of the World" -- CD -- €8
2006 Wroth Emitter Productions, W.E. 012
Fourth official work of this Russian dark-folk band. A symbiosis of classic European dark-folk and dark-ambient. Unhurried guitar fingerings and piercing alto interwoven with dark drones. Doomed and furious voice declaiming about the origin of the world. Music for thoughtful listening. Recorded in 2004. [label info]

November Novelet -- "From Heaven On Earth" -- CD -- €15
1999 Galakthorrö 011
November Növelet is more calm and romantic side of Haus Arafna, most of texts and vocals belong to the female part of the duet. Detached, beautiful and blameless as an ice sculpture music which simply has no analogues.
[mp3]   [mp3]   [mp3]

November Novelet -- "Magic" -- CD -- €15
2007 Galakthorrö 019
This magically-charged jewel of electronic music consists of twelve new songs. The analogue foundation combines with electric vibraphone and 8-bit surrealism transformed into sound. Melancholic synthesiser melodies and the ethereal voice of Mrs. Arafna melt into a fragile beauty with emotional depth. Unpretentious and lost, a gripping experience. In spite of all this exploration of the depths, there is also the opportunity to roll up the carpet. Mr. and Mrs. Arafna have conjured up a few dance hits, which because of their minimalism and cultured morbid charm, should kick off the party mood for the creatures of the night. These contrast well with the slow pieces – tinged with a breath of experimentation, resulting in a many-facetted, and at the same time very balanced, Angst Pop album. The long time in waiting for the release of this new record will soon be forgotten in sheer listening pleasure. CD in de luxe matt finish gatefold digipac plus 16-page booklet incl. all lyrics. Urauschwitz -- "Zirkuszerfall" -- CD -- €8
2008 self-released
The debut release of a new Russian exoteric project Urauschwitz, oriented towards the world around us. The world which is complicated, satiated with signs and littered by propaganda. And the author tries to overview this "Zirkuszerfall" ("circus of decay") without distortions through the distorting mirror, and this is done with a good portion of black humour. The manner of soundwork of Urauschwitz can be compared to German project Turbund Sturmwerk. The artwork of this release should be particularly mentioned: it's done in vein of industrial constructivism of the artist Alexander Lebedev-Frontov (although some parallels with Turbund Sturmwerk can be found here too), but with a bit of "contamination" of sunny Man-Engine by cabbalistic art. V -- "Fam" -- CD-R -- €8
2008 Still*Sleep, CDR09
Deep low frequency drone with almost static compositional structure. Sounds from the abyss...

Wereju -- "When The Heart Shows Trough" -- CD-R -- €8
2008 Still*Sleep, CDR08
Blurry, eerie drones that have a lot in common with Aidan Baker's solo guitarscapes, but this is darker stuff. Heavily processed feedback swells in tide-like form, deep and sonorous, and underneath the warbling ambience is a dark soundworld enveloped in shadow. Muted melancholy melodies appear and disappear, soft whorls of sound carry over vast expanses of blackness, and reverberating strings hum suspended in the air. Wereju inhabits a realm of mysterious, drifting, meditative dark ambience. [Crucial Blast Records]

Wintersilence -- "Transmission Fields" -- 2 CD -- €10   [-50%]
2004 Weird Amplexus, WAX10
An impossible melting between rock and ambient with influences from many other musical styles and from Indian, Arabian and North-African culture. A surprising and ambitious trip from ambient to cosmic paths. This work has various influences, but all titles have something in common, they all seem to run after to an evocative attitude: all compositions could be referred to particular images and landscapes, and stimulate the listener's imagination to penetrate obscure dreams, at the edge between fear and tranquillity, where the soul feels unable to understand the substance of reality, and sometimes is got by a spiral of nightmares' fragments, over any rational rule.
