Alio Die & Amelia Cuni -- "Apsaras" -- CD -- €12
2001 Projekt, PROJEKT126
Italian singer Amelia Cuni has a voice like a drink of mountain stream water, a voice that you might expect to find operating in popular song. But her area of expertise is that most ancient and rigorous of Indian styles, dhrupad singing. Cuni's vocal clarity and dusky sweetness sit oddly but perfectly in this austere context. Recent enthusiastic collaborators have included Paul Schutze, Terry Riley, Werner Durand and David Toop. This is not music that borrows a few Indian flavours, but a serious attempt to make something new and expressive from within Indian art music. It's both extraordinarily beautiful and very easy to listen to. [Clibe Bell, The Wire Magazine] With 15 different collaborations and 7 solo albums to his name, Italian ambient soundscape constructor Alio Die presents his most stunning release to date. His work with Robert Rich and Vidna Obmana have set the stage for the unusual beauty of this dramatic work, celebrating nature and the magic of the human voice... In Hindu mythology, the Apsaras are female spirits of nature, usually water nymphs. Flowing in the waters, these celestial nymphs come out of the waves like the first seed of the mind: desire. Talented artistically, the Apsaras are very beautiful; charming musicians and dancers for the pleasure of the Gods. [press-release]

Atum -- "Legendy Miejskie" -- CD -- €10
2009 Beast Of Prey, bop 6.7
"Legendy miejskie / Urban Legends", the latest album by ATUM, has just arrived! "Urban Legends", arguably one of the strongest titles of the Beast of Prey label, is an extraordinary album, composed mostly of field recordings registered in Jaworzno, the home town of ATUM. It is an attempt at reconstructing the surroundings in order to distill something that eludes the every-day experience. Despite its private character, the message of the Legends is universal as well. Everyone of us passes dozens of places we think are "tamed", places seemingly devoid of meaning. Just a little effort is what it takes to dispel this illusion... Musically, the album is rather varied. It's a combination of field recordings, drones, whispers, and sounds of different acoustic instruments. The purpose is to reveal the oneiric dark side of the surrounding world. Guests such as Infamis (acoustic guitar), Tomasz K, Rafal Pach, and Piotr U (the author's friends from Jaworzno) contributed to the making of the album... Album released in colour digipack, full professional production. [press-release]

Baghiri, Amir -- "Rooms" -- 3 CD -- €18
2001 Arya, Y13, (ltd. 500)
"Rooms" is a three CD-set tribal minimalism from Amir Baghiri. The set has three distinct themes - one for each cd - that are interconnected. The CD's are subtitled Inner Rooms, Real Rooms and Spaces in Between respectively. "Inner Rooms" refers to the chambers within the self. Amir has fashioned some expansive minimalism replete with experimental influences and ethnic subtleties. There is also a guest appearance by overtone singer Jim Cole. Jim's vocals enhance the subtle rhytm and deep drone of "The Trip of Thoughts" This disc is a journey in and of itself. It is also the beginning of a much larger journey and it sets that stage quite effectively. "Real Rooms" is - DUH! - a reality check. From the singing bowls of "Big Bang" through the experimental textures of "Timeslices" and the gentle atmospheres of "Nowhere Like Home" this cd has an organic presence. The organic atmospheres add the unique touch. This leg of the journey serves to ground the listeners. "Spaces in Between" maintains integrity with its double entendre. The first - and most obvious - meaning is a reference to the physical spaces between rooms. Amir's more subtle intent is to define the crossover between the emotional/spiritual existence and the physical/intellectual self. Amir is more concerned with the intangible spaces. This disc ties the first two discs together in the form of holistic integration of the self. The expansive atmospheres are perfect for meditating and discovering the symmetry of the heart, soul, mind and body. The organic textures and tribal influences create the vehicle for self-discovery. Amir has really come into his own of late. This is an exciting development inhis maturation as a composer and performer. Assuming that he continues to develop apace, the sky is the limit! [Jim Brenholts]

Burning Star Core -- "Blood Lightning 2007" -- CD -- €10
2007 No Fun Productions, NFP12
Creeping drones, strange mutilated vocal incursions, and compositions full of unidentifiable sounds both acoustic and electronic. Another classic in sound exploration from the mind of Mr. C. Spencer Yeh. This is the sound of humanity looking into the depth of their soul searching for a reason to continue fighting the daily maze of homo sapien life. The three sisters on the front cover of this album all have the "mark of the devil". Like all No Fun Productions cd's comes in the deluxe classic mini-gatefold style no fun CD case. [label info]

Burning Star Core -- "Challenger" -- CD -- €10
2008 Hospital Productions, HOS-216
Burning Star Core began in 1993 in Cincinnati, OH where it currently resides with primary member C. Spencer Yeh. It is considered a project and not a pseudonym. While the Burning Star Core project has included much wider ensembles, Challenger is a direct solo composition of C. Spencer Yeh. This recording is perhaps Yeh's most revealing, unguarded work. Challenger is a composed work, not an improvisation, with each piece revolving around a central melodic theme, featuring field recordings, which serve as an audio diary. The sounds range from pure tonal mood to huge electronic crescendos. But what's most remarkable is the use of space, where parts come in then drop out to build up the emotion. When the piano sound crashes in 'Mysteries of the Organ,' it reflects a frustration with paradise, a rejection of perfection, a jolt of inexplicable throes of life. In contrast is the quiet, haunting 'Hopelessly Devoted,' which sounds like a love letter written to outer space. These make for an album that is both dynamic yet consistent as a full statement. [Insound]

Burning Star Core -- "Inside The Shadow" -- CD -- €10
2005/2010 Hospital Productions, HOS-212
A reissue of an obscure tour only recording from 2005 brings to the light the flikering dance of Mr yeh and his dives into organic drone music. Unlike the majority of his electronic compositions inside the shadow reveals three textures brought to life with violin , chimes and bells that defy most of the contemporaries limitations to synth only exercises. Yeh prooves the heart of landscape oriented linear composition is only limited by the imaginations of the creators and brings warmth to an otherwise cold genre with the flame of inside the shadow. [press-release]

Cage Cabarrett -- "__________" -- CD-R -- €8
2010 Turbinicarpus Records, TBC010, (ltd. 25)
Turbinicarpus Records (Donetsk, Ukraine) presents a new CD of experimental electronics by Cage Cabarrett (Lisbon, Portugal). Music must give birth to Orgasm and Revolution. CAGE CABARRETT are Rubina Go'is and Andre' Faustino. They are the "musical dice players" (Musikalisches Wu"rfelspiel); the followers of John Cage, Karlheinz Stockhauzen, Pierre Boulez and Witold Lutos?awski; the "random" music performers; the explorers of aleatoric music… CAGE CABARRETT explore notions of indeterminacy in art, aleatoric music and intuitive improvisation. Musicians use the unpredicted performance to dissolve any fixed properties of music sound into a fluid process and break with the traditional control of the composer over the material... All sounds have equal value: sounds chosen by the composer, by the performer, and all the unforeseen and unpredictable sounds that surround us every day. The extremest experiments and randomization-based ideas are welcome. Each track is one unrepeatable livetake with no mixes or overdubs... CAGE CABARRETT take seriously the sounds that stick to eternity and use a great number of musical machinery: antique analogue synthesizers, such as Korg MS-20 from 1978, classical Roland SH 101 and legendary YAMAHA CS-5, a radio, a theremin and other vintage devices. It sounds like "________!"... It does not pay to describe music with words and it's definitely useless to describe semi-random music of elusive shape. Music on this CD has wrong geometry, it comes from another dimensions, where the sum of triangle's angles never equals 180 degrees. That's why CAGE CABARRETT warn about possible consequences of this interrogation into acoustic perception. [press-release]

The Cat's Orchestra -- "Vortex" -- 3"CD-R -- €6
2009 Turbinicarpus Records, TBC007, (ltd. 25)
A new noise-jazz album of one-man-project from Kiev, Ukraine. This is a story of solid but disperse layer of irregular noise being methodically spread over the acoustic plane of a grand piano that was cynically squashed with echo-effect. Any music in its true understanding relies on sculpturality. By true understanding, we mean harmony and right sound distribution of all possible instruments and materials in a random order. Words as such possess the same strength and meaning as other sound-production methods. That is, a meaningful text is mere poetry. Or, to be more specific, music loses its meaning when words gain it. What is music? Following Pound, we can understand it as “a mist over swamps”. Or follow Brzeska and see it as segregation of planes. What should music look like? This question makes sense only if raised post factum. Music can be built from any material at hand. Should we reduce music to the orchestra pit, we will reduce the hearing. Music and singing (i.e., pronouncing a meaningful text) can be combined only if our aim is entertainment. Music plus words equals entertainment. Music plus words does not equal music. Music does not depend on time and place. Time becomes a plane. Time does not exist as an idea, an external force, as eternity. Any change of the existing soundtrack is a rejection of music as such. Entertainment may have either negative or positive quality. Music does not have any quality. Music is a process of changing. Music is a dialog between you-and-me. The album was recorded in 10 days in Kiev. Mini-CD in an illustrated 5-page hand-made mini-book. [press-release]

The Cherry Point -- "Black Witchery" -- CD -- €10
2006 PACrec, PACrec118 / Troniks, TRO-223
In 2004, The Cherry Point completed a trilogy of limited edition 3" cdrs, released on Chondritic Sound, Fargone Records, and Audiobot. Now collected and remastered, the dark spell has been cast as Black Witchery, a murky potion of macabre frequencies, derelict moans, satanic power and the hideous stench of occult slaughter. A black mass ritual for fans of Evilspeak, The Gate, Satan's Black Wedding, Ghoulies 2 (the one set at a carnival), The Tempter, Paura Nella Cittа dei Morti Viventi, The Legend of Hell House, and John Cassavetes in Incubus (1982) + Rosemary's Baby (1968). The struggle of man with the machine with use of industrial-acoustic sounds, devices, objects attached with electronic samplers. On their workbench DESOLATION ZONE with skill cuts and shatters with surgical precision. Body, mechanisms, mind are the mysteries that man studies and work on for ages. In XVIII century a French doctor and philosopher Julien Offray de La Mettrie created controversial philosophic dispute "l'Homme Machine". "Man A Machine" represented mechanical materialism trough which he must many times escape. The album is released in an unconventional package, a metal can with a sticker. Dieter Muh / Mnem -- "Atomyriades" -- CD -- €10
2008 Cipher Productions, (sic 49), (ltd. 500)
"Eight pieces of what can be best described as mildly old school industrial music. Its noise music but it never goes over the top, landing in the world of distortion and feedback. Yet there are mild distortions to be spotted, repeated loops of obscured sounds (vinyl, voices, field recordings? Who knows?), sound effects working almost over time, especially delay and reverb machines. Sounds are fed through digital and analogue machines and synthesizers, rhythms are formed, and torn apart, built up and thrown about. The machinery used these days may differ from the ones used in the 80s, but the result is not far from it." [Vital Weekly]

Dilloway, Aaron -- "Boggs Vol. Two" -- CD -- €10
2005 Hanson Records, HN 112
Boggs Volume 2 is a collection of two long out of print CDR's from Wolf Eyes member, Aaron Dilloway. This new release contains, in their original entirety, the "Seizure" CDR released by Hanson and the "Appalling & Alive" 3" CDR released by Chondritic Sound. [label info]

Dilloway, Aaron -- "Chain Shot" -- CD -- €10
2007/2009 Hanson Records, HN 207, (ltd. 500)
DIGIPAK CD reissue of CHAIN SHOT LP which was originally released on LP by THRONE HEAP. Contains a 28 minute bonus track. A review of the original LP: 'With only tape loops, metal, and horns (and sometimes, it seems, metal on horns) the two side long pieces, 'Chain Shot' and 'Execution Dock' respectively, explore the ugly underbelly of noise before just scraping right through and aiming for the insides. In a genre that has quickly turned into a broad and often inaccurate description of a certain breed of every-man experimental music, Dilloway sticks to the old-fashioned definition of noise, doing battle with the materials in front of him as he continues the construction of his impressive body of work. Dilloway, a former member of noise-titans Wolf Eyes, has recently been releasing solo work that explores much more abstract and thoughtful terrain than his previous group's onslaughts." Dove Yellow Swans -- "Live During War Crimes" -- CD -- €10
2006 Release The Bats Records, RTB 012, (ltd. 1050)
Live During War Crimes is a collection with the best parts from various older releases, all remastered and edited to work as a new fullenght album. The result is a epic mayhem. 6 songs in about 47 minutes. A industrial wasteland of futuristic electronics, hypnotic feedback assaults and atmospheric drones - a beautiful, yet grim, sonic bliss. The material is taken from the Dusk tape (released on Jyrk, the bands own imprint), the Demonic cdr (Hung Like A Horse) and the Drill cdr (Snse). Everything was recorded live between May and June 2004. Comes packaged in a special dual plover styled fullcolor digipack. Cover drawings by Devendra Banhart. [label info]

Dreddup -- "El Conquistadors" -- CD -- €10
2010 Beast Of Prey, bop 7.1, (ltd. 500)
DREDDUP is an industrial, machine, dynamic, and energetic project from Serbia. It is a rare occasion to see a project from the Balkans on the European market. DREDDUP has huge creative potential, and its performances are particularly dynamic, which places it in the forefront of the European industrial scene. Their truly apocalyptic lyrics touch on subjects such as time, transience and existence. 'El Conquistadors' gives you 70 minutes of hardcore, dynamic industrial/rock music similar in fashion to Einstürzende Neubauten, The Young Gods, or Laibach. It is their third album, and it constitutes the last part of the trilogy preoccupied with the notion of time. 'El Conquistadors' tells a story of the here and now and of the boundaries of the human soul. Ladies and gentlemen, we present a cry from the Balkans, a manifesto of the realm of machines, dust and rust... This 70-minute album contains 15 tracks and is available in a full-colour Digipak. Edition of 500 copies. [press-release]

Drumm, Kevin -- "Imperial Horizon" -- CD -- €10
2009 Hospital Productions, HOS-251
Imperial Horizon by Kevin Drumm is a further examination into sustained tone as most recently heard on his previous Hospital Productions benchmark album, Imperial Distortion, stretching out minimalism to unreached heights of serene ambient. Lulling electronic drones slowly transform over the course of the hour plus piece in constant flux, echoing both an existential terror and Zen calm. Mutations grow so quietly only the body opens to identify this change while the mind closes. The ephemeral and seeming lightness of the tones hang with taut balance in contrast to the method in which they are overlapped and rotated with deadly аweight. How wildly divergent emotions rise, hover, and fall using so little is a mystery that only Kevin Drumm can provide. While you may not find an answer, you can certainly get lost in the question. Exemtum -- "s/t" -- CD -- €10
2008 self-released
Well known from collaboration's with Kammer Sieben or Heiliges Licht and from sampler like "Friendship is Everything", Exemtum is one of the best surprises into the martial music, with fresh sounds, beautifull melodies on pianos and apocaliptic passages wich bring you to the most desolate places in Europe during the Second World War. Really, one of the most original albums into this sound. [Twilight Records]

Exsanguinate / La Infame Turba De Nocturnas Aves -- "Allegory Of Death" -- CD -- €10
2003 Misanthrope Studio, MS003, (ltd. 500)
Each band presents it's own sonic Allegories of Death... meditations on that inevitability we all fear and at the same time are fascinated by. To set the tone Exsanguinate starts with a commanding and urgent track, flush with militaristic undercurrents in it's opening moments. From there the material evolves into something more abstract and steeped in dread with tendrils stretching into elements of clinical drone and throbbing frequencies to a more introspective ambient chaos. [l-i-t-d-n-a] rounds out the disc with their unique blend of deep tones, harsh frequencies, gentle pulses against an almost ambient feedback. Squalls, static, interjecting beats, squirming distortions and vocalizations accentuate an anxious, looming reality. [l-i-t-d-n-a] closes among fluid environmental recordings juxtaposed with clanks and pulse beats, to provide the score for a yet to be discovered altered state, one in which reason is elusive. [press-release]

Fire In The Head -- "Come Closer, Cut Deeper" -- CD -- €10
2005 Nihilist, NIHIL 33
A fine combination of power electronics, piercing loud, but not just banging on the distortion pedal, there is strong undercurrent in this music that is related to ambient industrial. Throughout 'Come Closer Cut Deeper' seemed to me louder and noiser than last week's 'Meditate/Mutilate', which had a few calmer moments to spare. Also a little bit less varied than that one. But Fire In The Head is a noise force who knows what he is doing, still. This new one might appeal to the die hard fans. [Vital Weekly]

Gerritt -- "Space Level Blaze" -- CD -- €10
2005 Old Europa Cafe, OECD 025

Giffoni, Carlos -- "Arrogance" -- CD -- €10
2007 No Fun Productions, NFP08
Five chapters of sound inspired by one of the most powerful and complex emotions of humankind. Arrogance is a departure from the digital machine insanity of his previous full length release, Welcome Home (Important Records), for a world of total analog electronics, primal energy, walls of monumental sound and precise attention to layers - creating massive slowly evolving structures that are both beautiful and terrifying. Arrogance is the first CD release on the No Fun Productions label. Recorded live with no overdubs in Brooklyn during a 12 month period by Carlos Giffoni and mastered by James Plotkin. Cover artwork by award winning artist/designer Megan Ellis. [label info]

Grobbing Thristle -- "Hidden Strategies" -- CD -- €10
2009 Beast Of Prey, bop 6.8
Who would expect that under the name Grobbing Thristle are hidden mutated clones of Genesis P. Orridge, will be surprised by the amount of sound strategies used by the Poznan''s ensemble. Despite that GT knowingly place themselves in continuum named by the creations of "20 Jazz Funk Greats", their noise-electronic collages with every listening bring new musical universes... On one of the levels Grobbing Thristle play steel symphony of postindustrial earthy Inferno. Noisy wind of clicks, cracks, laptop grinds, insect like microsamples and psychotic looped vocals lead into paranoic world like in novels of Philipa K.Dicka. The thing that scares here the most is by paradox, the most common and accustom element - voice. The words "...So yes I have to go now, so bye bye..." opening the album sound like a goodbye before descending into the abyss. But this is a hell of cybernetic robots - this is a music that brings pain. Fortunately for artistic might of the recordings GT knows how to dose it... Grobbing Thristle is close to Coil's vision of "lunar music". It's the same type of psychoactive spells, slowly finding and tasting what hidden beyond the courtain of everyday time. The project idea came from Radek Dziubek, former co-creator of Blimp (grow up from post-punk scene and minimal rock Polish precoursors of postrock fusions). From them they learned how to describe the fragile nature of world, by dosing the intense of sonic signal. Grobbing Thristle made one rare thing - finding energy between what "live" and "mechanic", emotional and dehumanized, spontanous and constructed, created their own musical idiom. What more important - even though their experimental ambitions, the recordings hipnotyze with dense, mysterious, and often momochromatic aura. Dark and disturbingly beautiful album. [press-release]

2009 Malignant Records, TUMOR CD40
The alluring debut from Leipzig Germany's Hyios, Consuetudines offers 7 lengthy compositions of cold ritual drones, arching trajectories, and visceral descents into subterranean caverns, where rich, kinetic textures and deep resonant tones move and morph in a fluid, serpentine fashion, sprinkled with the debris of an ancient culture and something more otherworldly and primordial. Leipzig has historically proven to be fertile ground for dark ambient and Consuetudines continues in the fine tradition set forth by such notable acts as Inade and Herbst9. In 6 panel digipak, mastered by Secret Lab. A great new discovery. [label info]

Inner Vision Laboratory & Roto Visage -- "Cinema Stain" -- CD-R -- €7
2009 Beast Of Prey / No Angels Productions, NAP-CD 011, (ltd. 200)
We would like to present a unique opus, which appears as a co-operation of Inner Vision Laboratory (Poland) and Roto Visage (USA) projects, symbolically entitled "Cinema Stain". Here, the listener is forced to wale in pathological and "impure" visualizations of human pain, fears and suffering, which are surprisingly seducing with subtle beauty. Some of the soundforms are painted heavily with a brush of rhythm while others flow like the spools of film spinning through a mechanical projector. The aim of both of the composers was to write an original soundtrack to a non-existent horror film – the result is excellent, and by taking vocal samples from other movies, they created also an auditory record of tension and melancholic darkness. For layout of this release, we used modified photographs from the very talented photographer - Karolina Kosowicz. Packaging is non-typical: professionally printed and professionally duplicated CDR with additional graphical insert are placed in a plastic box (slim dvd box type). Inserts and covers are professionally printed on gloss paper. Edition is limited to 200 hand numbered copies. Album production by No Angels Prod. and Beast Of Prey. [press-release]

The album is dedicated to dissociative and deprivated states of mind. Details and phenomena of the world loose interdimensional links and here comes the dissociative meeting of a mirror and it's reflections. The disk contains author's early works, not previously released because of thematical correspondence, one can comprehend them as some accumulated sonic-time experience, as a guide in dissociative states, or as a poetic reflection of this theme. All these tracks sound aomewhere right in the middle of the mentione projects, and apeear to be a synthesis of two mythologies of sound. Sunny atmosphere of ultramundane experiences, vigorous wave high-tech ritual! Handmade cardboard sleeve. [press-release]

Maaaa -- "Decay And Demoralization" -- CD -- €10
2010 Mind Flare Media, MFM002, (ltd. 500)
MAAAA's "Decay and Demoralization" comes at you with 6 tracks well over 60 minutes in length. This stuff is harsh and without a doubt the most extreme band coming out of Poland's underground today. Decay and Demoralization includes tons of power electronics and bizarre recordings that create an odd, otherworldly atmosphere stuck in a white noise frenzy. Banging metal, shrieking, dying, the cover of this album should say it all. These guys like to take the energy of punk rock and fuse it with noise, creating a sound all their own. An excellent showcase of what's to come. [press-release]

Maaaa -- "Sampo Distortion" -- CD -- €10
2010 24919 Records, CD24919-03, (ltd. 500)

"Everything crashes, at out place everything crashes, here, now and then" - as one unknown lady said. And she was right, "Sampo Distortion" comes to you! [label info]

Malameccanica -- "Noli Tangere" -- CD-R -- €8
2010 Turbinicarpus Records, TBC009, (ltd. 25)
This music has it's own life. I'm trying to say that you will not find yourself familiar with "Noli Tangere". There is a distance between you and the music (a really greasy road sometimes). But even feeling this distance with your skin, you understand that your mind and the tape noises are sticked together. It's a quite strange situation but it is the way it goes... This music is quite noisy but not riotous. It does not screech. It does shimmer like a yellow octopus in ancient water... The singer is not really a singer. He's more a herald with a tremendous conviction in a voice. You may think that the words are just a dazzle paint for the music but then you get a perfect sign that it makes music really unfathomable... No, no time for logomachy... This mix of italian wave and contemporary noise and electroacoustics gives your wits the opportunity to look and to see something more underneath all-around things. Why? Coz' it deals not with a warped reality but with an intermittent pulse, flagging and melting until you get a refuge in a perfect glee... There are many ways to describe how the person thrusts in a puke on the platform and there is the only way not to tell that. [press-release]

Merzbow -- "SCSI Duck" -- CD -- €10
2003 Fourth Dimension Records, FDCD66
Four cuts recorded in 2003 by harsh electronics innovator Masami Akita. "It's been years since I've reviewed a Merzbow CD. Every other month I see a new release surface yet I hesitate to listen. After the 10 CDs I've heard in the past, I was expecting the same old harsh white noise; I'm happy to say that I was wrong. "Greenman", the opener, starts with a junk percussion sound and quickly turns violent and spacious, with plenty of layers and textures. "Rock Me Booa" is also pounding and percussive, with more focus on the wall of electronics and swirling feedback. Loud and abrasive is "Untitled 12," a thirteen minute piece. "Herpos Suite" clocks in at 26 minutes and is very hard to get through. Very uneasy, very loud. My attention span is more in the five minute marker, but good nonetheless. Once again Masami Akita proves he is the king of noise; Japanese or otherwise." [Fever Pitch Music]

Monopium -- "Mesmerized" -- CD -- €10
2009 Beast Of Prey, bop 6.4, (ltd. 500)
Debut album of polish project MONOPIUM is definitely something new and different on our Polish music scene. Based on fascinations of dadaism, avantgarde, atmosphere of old Berlin cabarets and surrealism is unusual music project. Over 40 minutes of psychodelic and avantgarde music. The mix of different genres and styles that cannot be described in one word. If dadaists were anarchistic negation of European heritage, rejecting todays conventions and restrictions for the sake of free and unbound fantasy and bit of trivial mistification, so what is MONOPIUM today? Dada works with all his might to incorporate the idiotism all around. But creatively. And how MONOPIUM did this...? Debut album of experimental project NOJSENS released in colaboration with Beast Of Prey. Project has been around for some time, and his creator Dawid Chrapla is experienced in colaborations with Genetic Transmission and co-founder of Hated Bruit Kollectiv. The album "Transmisja" is a psychedelic bruitysm with use of synths inspired by Genetic Transmission as well as technically crafted noise made from tiny sound parts. Fast, exploding fragments filled with streams of sound mix with more static parts, occasionally torn by more noise fragments and loops. At the same time the sound is more clear than typical noise build on hardware or static sound sources. Samples and hums combine with synth parts, but there are also metallic, extent fragments as well as bits - dynamic and much processed, more distant from more trans approach to music. [press-release]

Well it's about FUCKING TIME!! Finally this stellar work from Jon Borges' PEDESTRIAN DEPOSIT is released! Meticulously edited Harsh Electronic Noise. Ultra spastic and cut up sound w/ passages of truly DISMAL piano, tape manipulations and drones. [label info]

Pedestrian Deposit -- "Volatile" -- CD -- €10
2004 Hospital Productions, HOS-092 / Truculent Recordings, 2d16, (ltd. 1000)
The releases on Truculent Recordings usually have moody, subtle covers. They could house all kinds of musical styles. The last thing you would expect is brutal noise. And that is exactly what you get. This is truly a label for extreme audio. The for me unknown act Pedestrian Deposit is not basically different than other Truculent releases that I’ve heard. Violent noise attacks, nasty high frequencies, funny playing around with stereo effects. Abrasive power electronics, walls of loudness, uncompromising slabs of noise. There are some moments of reflection though, because Pedestrian Deposit even employs some dark ambient moments. Furthermore the five tracks are heavy shit though. I’m already exhausted after the first track. Something for connaisseurs. [Funprox]

2010 Malignant Records, TUMOR CD 44
Following two CDs on Eternal Soul and a recent split LP on LOKI, Germany’s revered dark ambient project Phelios makes their first appearance for Malignant. With its swirling cosmic drones and sweeping, cinematic drift, the music of Phelios is breathtaking and hypnotic, often evoking moments of serenity and beauty, yet spiking them with deep cushions of ritualistic percussion and textural squalls that suggest something much more ominous and threatening looms on the vast horizon. Collectively, Astral Unity is thoughtful and concise – a vivid and richly detailed entity that’s alive and constantly evolving, channeling the universe while simultaneously exploring the inner regions of a more primordial earth. In 6 panel digipak, with gold foil stamping. [press-release]

Debut album of Polish project RED MOTH. 35 minutes of harsh ride for extremal noise lovers. Devastation and chaos from experimental sounds to cruching waves, modulations and distortions. "Red World" is an album portraing frightfully chaotic development of Earth, men and their mad rush. Dictatorship of world awakens the need of money, profits, land or control above others. The heat of development in every genre of life leads also to social, cultural, emotional and spiritual vitiation. Project RED MOTH trough extremal sounds interpretates it's own observations of chaos on this earth. Unconventional release, raw cover cut in shape of cross from thick waste-paper cardboard. Reformed Faction -- "Until..." -- CD -- €12
2010 Greytone, GREY003
"Until…" by Reformed Faction is a new set of recordings built around the ideas of abstract compositional instructions similar in meaning and intent to those used by Karlheinz Stockhausen in such works as “From the seven days”. Eager to create a diverse and ever changing catalogue of works Reformed Faction here embrace improvisation, a feature fundamental to all their recordings, with a different focus and sensibility allowing sounds to evolve slowly and sub-conciously across a unrestricted timescale. Reformed Faction are Robin Storey and Mark Spybey, both ex-members of zoviet*france and both with long established and productive solo careers as Rapoon and Dead Voices On Air respectively. SantAAgostino -- "Operazione Paura" -- CD -- €10
2010 Greytone, GREY002
SantAAgostino tell of the Noises from Beyond the Gate. SantAAgostino play the Journey of No Return from the Death Phase. SantAAgostino sing the Dark Zone of those who met the pain-soaked Demiurge and came back to Earth without forgiveness for their sins. SantAAgostino write about the laments and the looks of those who saw beyond the coma and came back. SantAAgostino feel the return of those who died and are reborn more rotten and foul than before. Operazione Paura is a tribute to music and cosmos energy: the same energy that santAAgostino trio was permeated with during the opus and the esecution of the pieces. Operazione Paura is a total turning not just for the band but for dark, ambient music and noise, generally speaking. That’s because santAAgostino is like a meteor crashed onto the Earth disarranging all the balances, rhythmes and cycles. After the crash the planet seems to be perished but, in the inner part, the new fire of life is burning. A brand new energy developed in a new way of living, of thinking and being. Operazione Paura speaks of the filmic and horrorific fear, mind trap “to kill” atavistic thoughts and all those mental factors that trapped the man into a selfmade cage in his own mind, through the mind itself. Operazione Paura is an awl that, slowly but inexorably, drives the listener to a dimension where there is no thought, no images, no more conceptualizing, nothing still exhists: there is just a huge solitary desert now, where sounds spontaneously flow creating new monster beyond space and time. It’s a place where new divine dynasties born, spreading their seed, in order to bear a brand new reign far from the borders that we can’t even imagine. [press-release]

Satanismo Calibro 9 -- "Supernova" -- CD-R -- €10
2009 Old Europa Cafe, OECDR 039, (ltd. 167)
Here comes the new Italian cult project for Infernal Industrial! "Supernova" is the third full album by Satanismo Calibro 9. First on Old Europa Cafe. It's a new start after "Satan Makes Me Pregnant" (on OpenWound) and "The Decline". Drones, dark heavy beats, rotting and noisy, deep distorted guitars, bleak ambient, all mixed with obscure vocal lines. "Supernova" is a morbid and cold ritual, walking through paths close to a world below, down there where humanity shows its worst faces. This is just an apetizer for the forthcoming real official CD album. Satanismo Calibro 9 started its activity during fall/winter 2005/2006 as solo project of Doktor Pery, later, also Lara, Gnosis, Henker, Plague and Ciano joined the band. Let's tell the band: "We don't need particular inspirations from occult readings and believes: we play in the same way we live." On stage Satanismo Calibro 9 wears long black tunics covering faces and bodies, erasing every personal identity. Only hands are (sometimes) visible: it's a way to concentrate attention on the long disturbing session performed on stage. [press-release]

New release in Colaboration Beast Of Prey, Polish projekt of dark ambient with very dark, black and eternal sounds. "Le Grand Mystere" = 70 min album. "...Black, cold, the surrounding space. Without sound, without a bit of breath. Somewhere far away beyond the borders of the senses, outs of time, you can hear hopelessly long cries, sad, never-ending monotonous song of emptiness. Emptiness fills everything. Even hearts so far full of life now are dead. All overflows undescribed sorrow, starting off where everything was beginning. Amazing black, deep unlimited black. Darkness nothing more, there is no light. Far flare of perspective changes driven every day. The hours, days, months, years are irrelevant. Waiting gradually turned into the reluctance, the reluctance into sadness, sadness into pain. Far strenuous pain, of all colours of grey - the colour black. ..." [press-release]

Sion Orgon -- "The Zsigmondy Experience" -- CD -- €10
2008 Lumberton Trading Company, LUMBCD009
The second album by Thighpaulsandra and Coil affiliate, once more gushing splendidly with so many universe-mulching ideas that it's difficult not to wonder what's floating around the air in his native Wales these days. From menacing near-ambience and the massive, punk 'n' Prog-bloated 'I'm in Blackout' to vocoded passages over the very same electronic insanity that's spewed out Stockhausen and Xenakis, there's much to wrestle with your mind's deepest and darkest corners here. Collaborators include Coil's Sleazy, Mike Edwards (Jesus Jones' singer), Frank Naughton (Rocketgoldstar and ex-Uziq) Gaz Williams (Rocketgoldstar), The Grangetown String Ensemble, The Chung Chinese Ensemble and many others. Submatukana -- "dAngerous tesTs" -- CD-R -- €8
2008 Turbinicarpus Records, TBC005, (ltd. 60)
A debut CD by an audiovisual project form Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine. The guys from Submatukana experiment with acoustic instruments & urban devices and play with the late japanoise school, breakcore and industrial-drone. It is a pure authentic project, who aims to popularize domestic devises' noises aesthetics with classical electronic experiments over breakcore, drone, noise and 8bit music... About Submatukana: "Sound is our structure, movement our main component. We are not motion of the body, but rather motion of the mind. Our abstract unreality is a deeper existence, which lives in the digital world, crashing spiritual substance down onto the concrete earth from the skies. It is a narrative of sounds, developing into completed forms through our conceptual performances in this theatre of absurdity we know as the world around and inside us. Yet through the swirling chaos lies strict logic at its core. Percussion and rhythm-section – fire and ice – visualizations of music, spiritual seduction of the unprepared mind, by Igor Yalivetz and Yuri Kupriyanov, creators of Submatukana: the pseudo-hallucinogenic Castaneda never discovered. Experimenting with anything and everything, harsh IDM and latent noise, it is a romantic chaos of postindustrialism and improvisation. Tune into the path towards your darker self." CD envelope is folded from a newspaper page, 4-paged colour booklet is included. [press-release]

New material recorded in 2007. One track, nearly an hour in length! The Fall Of Nature depicts a nihilistic nightmare both on a personal and social level. This epic track evolves gradually starting with the voice of creation and ending with man's desperate screams of realisation and madness. The relentless music in between is "nothing short of monumental". [label info]

T.rans A.tlantic R.age -- "Hobo Jazz Vol. 1 & 2" -- 2 CD-R -- €10
2009 Turbinicarpus Records, TBC008, (ltd. 25)
Turbinicarpus Records (Donetsk, Ukraine) proudly presents the double CD of experimental jazz performed by T.rans A.tlantic R.age (Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA)... T.rans A.tlantic R.age (T.A.R.) is an explosion of panic beyond control, unorthodox experiments in all the genres to breakthrough beyond style borders, an independent musician from US who now turned to jazz... 'Hobo Jazz' usually refers to music performed by street musicians, homeless hobos, people of the Road. Banjo, double bass and a harp, american folk jazz, ragtime blues, music that first of all makes happy it's performers and sometimes brings a couple of bucks or an extra plate of counter-Pythagorean beans... Hobo Jazz by T.A.R. is an interpretation of musician's emotions who by chance saw a hobo jazz band jammin' out in NY subway. That moment, image, sound, and emotion stuck with him and more then 10 years later became an album... It's a surreal interpretation of own experience, which combines both classic and new waves of jazz: guitar noise, soul, improvisation, samples from Billy Holiday & Charles Mingus. Volume 2 is a bit different — no more samples, add vocals and extra instruments instead, sequences and moods change but the main concept stays the same. CDs come in a cardboard package with handmade collages. [press-release]

Tenhi -- "Airut:Ciwi" -- mCD -- €12
2001 Prophecy Productions, PRO 035
After their successful debut "Kauan" (f.i. album of the month in the German music magazine Orkus), Tenhi present their their new MCD. "airut:ciwi" is not a pre-taste of the upcoming album, but shows a more experimental side of the band and the songs are more rhythm and ethno styled. "airut:ciwi" draws and captures pictures from the wild nature of northern Lapland, where even today old traditions of shamans are cultivated. Traditional, Finnish music meets influences of progressive rock music, a magic combination where presence is absent. An entrance to the wideness of the land of the thousand lakes. [press-release]

Tenhi -- "Kauan" -- CD -- €12
1999/2004 Prophecy Productions, PRO 017
The first complete TENHI-album “Kauan“ contains calm and solemn songs, which – typically for TENHI – trepan inevitably into contemplation and prepare an ease of mind. Even on an sunny winter-afternoon melancholy arises, although hopeful parts appear and show us through all this fog, that there’s still light and hope. [press-release]

Tenhi -- "Vare" -- CD -- €15

Voice Of Eye -- "Emergence & Immersion" -- 2 CD -- €18
2009 Old Europa Cafe, OECD 123
In 2007 Voice of Eye ended their 12-year silence with 2 CD-R improvisation volumes: Emergence and Immersion. The works were released for their European tour in editions of only 100 each and sold out fast. Now those impossible-to-find, extremely limited releases are finally available on factory-pressed CD’s! Old Europa Cafe of Italy has re-released Emergence & Immersion in a fine 2-CD 4 page full-color digifolder, re- mastered with a new bonus track, “Peacock Symphony”, offering 2 and a half hours of music. Spontaneity and raw emotional expression punctuate and keen throughout. Although completely improvised, the music seems amazingly composed. One can intuit that the musical re-uniting of this duo created a vortex in the worlds. Wildness, beauty, humor, darkness, fear, horror, yearning, grief and vast spaciousness inhabit this mysterious lively music. Herein one finds some of the source material for their recent live shows: “Immersion”, “Dark Ritual”, “The Gates of Oblivion”, “Free”. A large array of instruments are used here including guitars, trombone, flutes, double-reeds, percussion, voices as well as Voice of Eye’s self-made instruments: Squawk Box, Bass-Thing, Jeemna, Thing and Thing-mini. Brand new project from Matthew Bower of Skullflower and Samantha Davis' of GYR/Harm. This album definitely demostrates the direction in which Mr. Bower has been taking with his other projects as of late and could easily be described as Black Metal in it's purest form but this is no Skullflower rip off. Samantha's Davis' input has certainly altered Mattthew's musical vision and it is easy to hear the sound of a true collaboration at work. Six long tracks of heavy music running in at a total of nearly 65 minutes. [press-release]

XX Committee -- "Network" -- CD -- €10
1983/2008 Impulsy Stetoskopu, 002, (ltd. 250)
"The Twenty Committee was my project with Chris Scarpino; it ran from 1981-1985. Network was my first LP release and the first classic of my long career. It was the second XX Committee release following a cassette, Steel Negro Music, on Arph Records. Network was originally supposed to appear on Charles Ball's Lust/Unlust label but it went bust (unbust). Luckily, a couple of weeks after we heard the terrible, terrible news, Thermidor records got in touch and ended up releasing the LP... Our idea was simple one. We wanted to strip industrial music, which we both enjoyed, of all of its rock moves and create a music that sounded like idealized heavy industrial machinery. We thought the repetition of our music, as well as the sound, was a radical critique of the exploitive nature of work under consumer-capitalism. We wanted to make machine-like anthems of negativity, but like the sound of heavy machinery, with a stark and powerful beauty. That's what we thought, anyway... The record sank without a trace. Chris got disillusioned over the actual opportunity to make good art and make a living and went into engineering. I've stayed the course. It seems like he may have been right. At any rate, this is a nicely done and fully authorized re-issue by the Polish label Impulsy Stetoskopu. Numbered edition of 250 copies, well mastered from the LP. Nice digipak reproduction of the cover with photos on the inside." [Scott Foust]

The by now legendary compilation LP 'Gothenburg 84' was released by Radium 226.05 (record label/gallery/publishing house/breeding ground) in 1984. Aere Aeternus -- "Humanity Needs No Funeral" -- CD -- €10
2008 Kaosthetik Konspiration, KSTK 006
The dominant atmosphere combines a sense of impending insanity with sexual deviancy and a large dollop of occultism, creating a dark and troubling misanthropic sojourn that is relatively unique. The final track is probably the most musical, as it is centred on a guitar arpeggio, but no such concessions to convention are present elsewhere on this deeply troubling disk. The accompanying video of "Invocation" shows a Satanic ritual in all its kitchsy glory. Recommended for those looking for something a darker than the usual entities. [Chronicles Of Chaos]

Aesthetic Meat Front -- "Temple of Flesh" -- CD -- €13
2006 Old Europa Cafe, OECD 087
"Temple of Flesh" is based on an Invocation of Rapture from A-M-F's "Blood Sun Rising" Rituals (2003-004). The text of this invocation has been translated into 12 languages, and sculpted into a dark electronic abyss. Ritual drones are the framework for haunting invocations and chants, which are supported by the seductive mantras of Zaskia Morgan. Bombastic drums and instruments connected with hooks into the skin of the ritual participants are also sound sources for this release. Elegantly packaged in a DVD case, Temple of Flesh comes with 6 double-sided cards reflecting the essence of an A-M-F ritual. Italian invocation featuring vocals by OEC master : Rodolfo Protti... Sounds remixed by R|A|A|N. [label info]

Aghiatrias -- "Regions of Limen" -- CD -- €10
2004 Epidemie Records, EPR 045, 2nd edition, (ltd. 444)
An extensive dark-ambient album devoted to the theme of subliminal sensual perception and its fictive musical applicaiton. An abstrakt conception of the confrontation between the surreal and real world (artificial ambient versus realistic industrial sound). The meditative character of the compositions is brightened by discharges of a kind of radioactive irradiation, representing the fleeing moments of understanding. The formation aims for purity of expressive means in an effort to accentuate the role of the primarily suppressed and ignored spiritual dimension of our world, while pointing to the importance of the liminal "structures" of our perception." Antlers Mulm -- "Of Withered Sparks" -- CD -- €13

Throbbing samples enriches this compositions to a homogenic masterpiece. These 10 songs are catching the mood of the warm feeling of being at home and creating a landscape of a coruscant kingdom that lies deep within the lyrical and musical expression. These tracks building melancholy on the most song based LOKI release ever - take a deep breath and get lost in this aural world of ANTLERS MULM. Limited Digipak with 12page booklet. [label info]

Baghiri, Amir -- "Planet X" -- CD -- €10
2006 Blue Box, BB002
Inspired by the exotic astrophysical phenomena of the 10th planet. An in-depth ambient turmoil of 76 minutes, blending deep soundscapes with sequenced pieces (in Amir’s words: "multidimensional ambient & groove creation") and environmental sounds. A certain touch of Steve Roach’s music still can’t be missed, but again Amir shows he’s has found his way in the genre by exploring his own musical pathways over the years. In a way it’s a pleasant dream flight with some more active passages, but in no way background music. This highly atmospheric and well produced recording certainly deserves both thumbs up. Beta Two Agonist -- "Autumn Perdue" -- CD-R -- €9
2008 Databloem, DB08021
When I received Beta Two Agonist’s demo some years ago, I knew from the first notes I was dealing with a talented artist. A year later Beta Two Agonist’s debut album on Databloem Zero Point Field saw the light, a delightful mix of minimal glitchy atmosphere’s and soft rhythms. Yet, I felt Ian Lizandra’s best was yet to come… …Well, here it is: Autumn Perdue, a consistently brilliant set of rhythmic and melodic glitch ambient. Unlike other releases in this genre, Autumn Perdue gives you the feeling it’s played life with real instruments. Actually Ian does use acoustic instruments such vibraphone and piano, which gives it all a more organic and personal touch. Another strong point is the transparent, perfectly balanced production. If you like contemporary glitch ambient ala Off The Sky, Murcof or Shuttle 358 you shouldn’t miss this one. [label info]

Beta Two Agonist -- "Zero Point Field" -- CD -- €10

Bocksholm -- "Rinna Leathercluster Liveaction 2008" -- CD -- €12
2009 Autarkeia, acd 044, (ltd. 500)
Lina Baby Doll [Deutsch Nepal] and Peter Andersson [Raison D’etre], two famous punks of the industrial scene, played the havoc again. In the beginning there was a very drunken gig that resulted in a very drunken album. Nevertheless, it is impossible to accuse the musicians of unprofessional recording or unusual state when recording. Since seas of beer are the most favourable condition for the records and gigs of these Swedish blokes, the concert in Malmo is simply perfect. In the meantime, well-mastered record does not leave any hints of non-studio work. Bearing in mind the reputation of these well-know masters of havoc, no wonder that this record is dominated by remarkable, powerful industrial rhythms, outbursts of psychedelic ambient, intoxicated, gargling vocals, sombre and dismal atmosphere transfused by alcoholic delirium, alcoholic despair and alcoholic hysteria that has only one culprit... No, no, it is not the alcohol, but this isolated, remote Swedish provincial town Bocksholm with its fauna and polluted nature that had such a heavy impact on the childhood of these alcohol addicts. Caspar, C.O. -- "Fun am Schrillen Lauschen" -- CD -- €10
2004 L-White Records, LW-018, (ltd. 300)
At parts quite noisy & powerful stuff with the ingredients we know from CO CASPAR: metallic sounds and percussion, an odd & suspenseful atmosphere, distorted vocals. But also great raw dark ambience-parts are here to be found... This is a recording from a concert (& installation?) which happened at "Eisenbahnmuseum Arnstadt" in Nov. 2001. Comes in large cardboard cover in a lim. ed. of 300 copies. [label info]

Cheerleader69 -- "Godriders in the Sky" -- LP -- €10
2006 Steelwork Machine, SMR05, (ltd. 500)
[...] Cheerleader 69 offer up an eclectic and intriguing mixture of rhythmic electronica, moody dark ambient and bombastic martial industrial, in a genre-defying melange which is quite difficult to review, as it refuses to stay in one style long enough to get a fix on it. However, enjoying listening to it isn’t nearly so challenging, as from the sample-strewn overture of ‘Your Book Is Full Of Killings’ to the compulsive percussions and crunchy industrial drones of ‘La Derniere Charge De La Morve d’Or’ and jazzy trumpet of ‘Crystal Sierra’, the music of Cheerleader 69’s remains consistently vivid and interesting. The title track ‘Godriders (In The Sky)’ is the highlight of the album, with crushing tribal drums, looped choral vocals, vocal samples and a fat horn section combining into a Bacchanalian frenzy reminiscent of C.O.T.A., Foetus or Pigface. 2005 Databloem, DBCD 011
The Circular Ruins live from the Atmostreams web broadcast of June 2004. An alchemical mix of rhythms, ambience, and leads. If you like your EM with a contemporary flavour I strongly recommend this CD." - WP / Synth Music Direct. [label info]

The Circular Ruins -- "Realm of Possibility" -- CD -- €10
2002 Databloem, DBCD 002
Ryhthmic ambient excursions: deep, complex, and beautiful. "Part of the strength of Circular Ruins material is the sheer attention to microscopic detail. One feels as if one is inside the machine, while at the same time still acting as audience to the vast sonic tapestry performed." - Brian Bieniowski. [label info]

Combative Alignment -- "…And Outside Glows The Red Dawn" -- CD -- €10
2005 Malignant Records, TumorCD24, (ltd. 100)
After several releases, including full length vinyl releases on LOKI and their own label Avatar, and a 7" on Eternal Soul, the first full length CD from this powerful and visionary German project on US label Malignant now. Can perhaps be seen as Combative Alignments benchmark, offering 6 tracks that work as a virtual musical thoroughfare to a more dreamlike, illusory state. Deeply brooding atmospheres, where omniscient layers of drones and reverberating sound currents meet measured, ritual percussion as performed under the glowing, gloomy haze of a primordial sunrise. And Outside Glows the Red Dawn shines a dim light on a world of obscure origin, full of dark Germanic mysticism and unearthly sonic terrain. On a whole, this is a more focused, deeper, and fluid recording than you've heard before, yet triumphantly carrying on the tradition laid down by previous releases. [press-release]

Contagious Orgasm + Kotodama -- "Blackout" -- CD -- €10
2008 SSSM, SSSM-109
From deep electro and dark sounds, noise to dreamy and atmospheric soundtracks. [label info]

Contagious Orgasm + Zyrtax -- "DNA Loops" -- CD -- €11
2005 SSSM, SSSM-107
The speed, the multiple, the scatter of the flow of time, and the curtain of the space are made in the layer, and the sound of them who wraps the listener. This mail collaboration project really has a magic touch when it comes to confusing the issue. From experimental electronic music to industrial monoliths to noisy electrolounge, those materials are resolved, and proliferate. The sound world that they make has been condensed to strength. They have been able, with the passing years, to amalgamate many styles and intrigue the listener, by proposing sonic mix sample based sound sculptures, with a constantly renewed freshness. [SSSM]... Contagious Orgasm and Zyrtax collaborated by mail, the results are the 14 tracks that form this album. Surreal sound collages with lots of variation from gentle atmospherics to more harsh passages and over to loop psychedelia, and soundwise from pure acoustics to heavily processed digital sounds. Comes in a very nice-looking cardboard gatefold sleeve designed by Yasutoshi Yoshida. [Government Alpha]

2008 Databloemm, DBCD08019
Two of the most promising names in contemporary electronic music join up for a journey through electro acoustic ambient with a glitch. This collaboration grew from a collection of musical fragments exchanged between November 2007 and February 2008. The sounds used were recorded from acoustic/analog instruments and then processed or left untouched. Jason Corder & Beta Two Agonist: vibraphone, xylophone, glockenspiel, windchimes, prayer bowls, electric piano, guitar, field recording, effects and processing. [label info]

Desiderii Marginis -- "Strife" -- CD -- €13
2004 Cold Meat Industry, cmi131
’Strife’ is, as the name implies, a sort of reflection over the rather pityful human desire to engage in all kinds of conflict. Everywhere and always. There is admittedly a healthy aspect of conflict or competition – the clash of ideas, ideologies, opinions and the like. But often strife takes the form of mere pointless destruction for no purpose. That particular lack of meaning is what this album is all about. ’War is a continuation of politics’ von Clausewitz wrote in the 1830’s. But if there’s no political visions to realize, no higher goal to pursue, no new beginning, no rebirth, then what? Guns go silent only to discover that nothing has really been accomplished. Old structures of injustice remain, recent conflicts are added to old ones. Does this sound depressing? I think it is. The music on this album is not intended to sound like the blazing guns of a world at war. It is what it is simply because these kind of thoughts went through my head as the music was made. I have had no ambition to address any particular issue, I’m definitely not trying to promote, or badmouth, any political or ideological points of view. Politics are firmly rooted in the present. Strife itself is eternal. The music is, as always, a strictly personal way to deal with and express the ever present madness of man. Nothing changes, everything is new... [label info]

Fire In The Head -- "As The Nest Burns" -- CD -- €10
2005 Autarkeia, acd 009, (ltd. 400)
Fire In The Head is probably one of the garish artists of noise/power electronics, representing the famous school of the USA. The project's author Michael Page previously participated at live performances of the legendary Giovanni Balistrer's project SLOGUN, also closely linked to the livery of NY sound terrorists. As The Nest Burns is short, but highly hysterical, brutal and dark album of noise/power electronics stylistics. Michael Page masterly plays with amplitude of different tracks intension. Slackened, leaden, psychedelic sounds overgrow into the avalanche of terribly aggressive and hysterical noise, gradually flooding back as unusual and uncomfortable sound stream. As The Nest Burns is a sort of element of otherworld civilization, starting its sudden extension, transformation and smashing attack. There are many fragments of distorted vocal in this album, making the tracks especially threatful. This is a completely new, reformed attack of USA power electronics tradition against the normal and moral world. Do you know what happens as the nest burns??? Then the children burn!!! What in reality and sorrounding is common for us GENETIC TRANSOMISIONS deforms, shatters and turns in it's bruit style. In recording of "Ascetic" were used mainly field recordings, experimantal-industrial sounds and combined allogether. Hati -- "Die Mechanik, Die!" -- CD -- €10
2008 Beast Of Prey, BOP 5.7
The album of the group from Torun - this time under the banner of Beast of Prey. A characteristic trance-gong-drone-music in the release "Die Mechanik, Die!" has been saturated with electronic sounds. Such HATI will suprise many of you! More than 45 minutes long album perfectly recorded during the performance in "the Mechanik" club in Gdansk. This time HATI famous for its acoustic sounds - made propably the darkest CD in its discography, the CD enriched with dark ambient tones. Tarry and heavy backgrounds perfectly harmonized with trance and mechanical instrumental variations of musicians move the imagination and bring nearer the world of the dying mechanics. From one side - harmonic and perfectly interrelated pieces of music, from the other side - increasing and intensifying athmosphere of the darkness which - like a rust - conquers more and more parts of urban areas. The title of this release speaks for itself... The group has been performing in many cities in Poland and also abroad: in Germany, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands. The legendary and long deleted first album now finally available again in a remastered version! Complex, textural ambience, consisting of layer upon layer of kinetic, luminous tones and ephemeral nuances of time. Herbst9 vs Z'EV -- "Through Bleak Landscapes" -- CD -- €13
2007 Loki Foundation, Loki 45
With this stunning collaboration the dark cavernous drones and ethnic-ritual instrumentation of Herbst9 melts with the complex and percussive sounds of industrial pionier and master of rhythmajik Z'EV. Ten tracks of deep spheres and blazing ruminant lightnings abducting you into golden constellations and swirling worlds full of aural effects and demonic resonance. Both projects worked with raw material of each other while the final mix was made by Herbst9. The result is a sombre and meditative soundtrack made with gongs, choral textures, deep vibrating strings and scraping effect-sounds reaching it's climax with outbursting tribalistic sequences and drummings. An impressive and gripping journey through bleak landscapes and abandoned places accompanied by a 24-pg booklet. [press-release]

Horologium -- "Le Cartoline Perse" -- CD -- €10
2007 Blade Records, wmda074, (ltd. 300)
A collection of various unreleased and rare compilation tracks by this cult Polish act. Four tracks have never been released before, while the last track, “Anywhere”, gives us a taster of the forthcoming album “The World Is Not Enough”. The music ranges from Symphonic Industrial with strange, haunting vocal samples, to upbeat Laibach-esque Industrial pop anthems. A nice range of styles on this disc and a good introduction to the act. Limited to just 300 hand-numbered copies in an outsized foldout package (with a couple of naked ladies on the cover for good measure!). [Cold Spring Records]

Isomer -- "Face Toward The Sun" -- CD -- €14
2009 Tesco Organisation, TESCO 076
Isomer's third cd with Tesco takes a sharp turn toward more aggressive territory, with the raw industrial hinted at in previous outings getting a proper airing. The dark ambient textures for which he is known still feature, but Face Toward the Sun forges new stylistic ground for the project. From the throbbing electronics of the opening track, through power electronics, walls of noise, violent vocal deliveries and carefully structured dark ambience, this is a characteristically varied album. Never one to shy from a dirty old blending of styles, a nice little martial ditty even makes an appearance for the militant in all of us. Face Toward the Sun was assembled from improvisations, previously unused material and nights of MS-20 hard-ons, making a lusty, varied album of industrial music. Some of the tracks here has been already presented on the well received DVD Cold Meat Live in Australia, where Isomer delivered one of the most surprising gigs of the festival. The studio versions of the tracks here will appeal to listeners of martial industrial as well as to an industrial dark ambient audience. Presented in a double gatefold digipack with potent imagery, total running time: 58 min. [press-release]

Isomer -- "Zero Lounge" -- CD -- €13
2005 Tesco Organisation, Tesco 061
The follow-up to "Serpent Age", the highly acclaimed first CD by the Australian artist David Tonkin, the man behind Isomer. Isomer does not remain in the field of dark rhythmic ambience, with the second release it explores new fields. This CD brings a blend mixture of classical industrial elements, power elctronic noises and ritual soundscapes... it still has its very own touch and varies its style often but never losses the thin red led of an extraordinary brilliance in recording. Jarl -- "Breaking Point Syndrome" -- CD -- €11
2007 Autarkeia, acd 021
Breaking Point-Syndrome is the ninth album of Erik Jarl, Swedish industrial genius. Just like his previous albums, this one radiates the remarkably icy, mercilessly depressing and languorous as well as claustrophobic mood. To reach the effect, Erik simply generates unique industrial sound. His each accord smacks of unexplainable anxiety, the feeling of degenerate future, drug-induced reality, poisoning and exceptionally technocratic character. Jarl music can be qualified as psychedelic industrial/drone, while the album Breaking Point Syndrome is an excellent example of the Scandinavian mastership in creating esp. persuasive and visionary sonic landscape. Jarl -- "Fragile Confrontation" -- CD -- €10
2005 Annihilvs, APEX001
ANNIHILVS proudly presents FRAGILE CONFRONTATION, our second full length CD release by Swedish Darkambient sound sculptor JARL. Since the release of the debut full length SEALED VOID in 2003, this brilliant artist (who has already shown his mettle as a member of IRM) has released albums for such noted labels as MALIGNANT RECORDS and SEGERHUVA. Now, JARL has returned to ANNIHILVS as the label begins its rebirth. FRAGILE CONFRONTATION finds JARL looking back into the sparse, cold isolationist landscapes of SEALED VOID, while instilling an undercurrent of impending violence, like a blade slowly moving toward flesh in tense, scraping frame-by-frame action. Metallic drones and static waves slide against each other as the confrontation between steel and skin comes to a mind-numbing collision. [press-release]

Jarl -- "Sealed Void" -- CD -- €10
2003 Force Of Nature Productions / Annihilvs
Jarl has already taken the world of dark electronic music by storm as one half of Irm, hailed the world over as the new leaders of the Swedish noise-industrial underground. With his solo project, he has once again risen to the throne and stands strong as a force to be reckoned with. Jarl -- "Wound Profile" -- CD -- €11
2007 Autarkeia, acd 024, (ltd. 500)
The album Wound Profile by Erik Jarl, the genius of Swedish electronics, previously released in a cassette, has now, after some processing of the record, come out as a CD in a very elegant digipack. The album consists of two record sessions: one of them (6 tracks) was recorded by Erik in 1999, while the other (one track) was recorded 18 months later. Those closely following the music of the Scandinavian master may recognise the early sound of Erik’s compositions in Wound Profile album that at certain points even remind the first IRM records. Clear-cut, abnormal, psychedelic rhythmics, its distorted, massive repetitions, analogous loops of synthetic sound generate the emotions of anxiety, morbidity and degeneration. Unlike Erik’s later music marked for its abstract structure and closer to drone style, the album Wound Profile can be characterised by emotional straightforwardness and brutality. [press-release]

Jazzkammer -- "Mort Aux Vaches" -- CD -- €10
2005 Mort Aux Vaches
Last year Marhaug's duo with John Hegre as the ongoing Jazzkammer was in The Netherlands to play the Earational festival and took up the occassion to record a session at the VPRO radio studio and now being released in what should be known by now as the John Peel sessions for underground music: Staalplaat's Mort Aux Vaches series. This is not the first entry for noise in the series, following Merzbow and the Sensorband. Jazzkammer has one piece to play of sonic overload, building from scratch. A highpitched tone, scraping the surface with a contactmicrophone and from there building things up by adding layers of nasty frequencies. As the piece evolves the high end techniques of laptopnoise start to mingle with low-end electronics. This work, a straightforward, unedited recording is a bit on the regular side of noise. But even at that, Jazzkammer on an ordinary day is way more interesting than many other noise heads on a good day. [FdW, Vital Weekly]

Knifeladder -- "Music/Concrete" -- CD -- €13
2009 Cold Meat Industry, cmi192
Knifeladder have been in existence in one form or another since 1998. Their sound is the culmination of years of experimentation and independent development. The resultant sound is a heavily percussive industrial organic hybrid, a new meshing of electronic loops, live bass and percussion and ethnic instrumentation to form a kind of Organic Industrial Music. Two years after the release of 'The Spectacle' (now sold out) Cold Meat Industry are pleased to present the latest work by Knifeladder; 'Music/Concrete'. - a unique mix of hi tec and lo fi sounds, authorititive drums courtesy of the one and only John Murphy, and distorted obscure instruments, Knifeladder have again produced a work of great visceral power. With shuddering machine loops overlaid with frenetic metal percussion, power ambient soundscapes melting into epic defiant anthems, Music/Concrete uses traditional hand played electronics and instrumentation to realise a throroughly contemporary vision of rebirth and decay... Compared to such acts as Test Dept, Coil and Mother Destruction, Knifeladder have outgrown their reference points to create their own niche in the genre obsessed Industrial scene. The personnel include Jonh Murphy, percussionist and electronic pioneer with such acts as SPK, early Current 93 and credible pop act The Associates. Andrew Trail was founder of Autogeddon and performed in the controversial Ministry of Love, who broke up after being banned from performing in every live venue in Sydney. Hunter Barr was a founder member of the infamous Infant Skull Surgery and is a renowned recording engineer for his unconventional yet obsessively perfectionist approach. Knifeladder themselves have performed with such acts as Allerseen, Sieben, Naevus, Coil, Bad Sector and Neither/neither world. With over 100 live actions, they have mastered the live environment like few others... Play loud, play often, and find the joy that only laughing in the face of death can bring... [press-release]

It contains retrospective compilation of cassette tracks dated 1989-1992. Propergol -- "Program Vengeance" -- CD -- €12
2005 Malignant Records, Tumor CD 21
Finally, Propergol's 5th CD has been born …with a vengeance. Program Vengeamce continues in the great tradition set forth by previous works, this time offering up 17 tracks totaling 71 minutes of sonic turbulence. Like being in the mind of a schizophrenic moments before the killing spree…the voices growing, the hallucinations building to maniacal levels, the inner chaos too much to bear…until, finally, an eruption. A recording that's full of sensoryoverload, with the levels pushed to extremes, the noise ultra saturated, the atmospheres menacing and combustible, and the obsessive rhythms full of beautiful distortion and aggression. In the end, a sense of anguish, a feeling of despair…a mind locked away to contemplate it's actions. As always, sample heavy, but an integral part of the power that is Propergol, and adding to the sense of madness and pandemonium that permeates this release. [press-release]

The Protagonist -- "Interim" -- mCD -- €13
2005 Cold Meat Industry, cmi145, (ltd. 1000)
The Protagonist may not be known for being the most productive band, but they should definitely be known and statued as a prime example of how Neoclassical music should sound. 7 years after their debut CD "A Rebours" they still remain as a great influence to many new acts. In a most dramatic way it forces your will to desire for more, not only more of music but more of life. The bombastic male drums and snares are seduced by the romantic and feminine violins. The Protagonist's music is classic in design, strongly inspired by literature, film and the fine arts. For this recording accompanied by The Royal Dramatic Theatre of Sweden. 4 tracks 21 minutes of supreme Neoclassical music. - Lighten up your absinthe, sink down into your sofa, lay back and let your self be devoured by the romantic atmosphere of a early 1900-century - France - Paris - dreamers - thinkers - creators. Loose yourself in a theatrical world of beauty, mystery, nightmares.... here is the soundtrack to your dearest desires. [press-release]

2008 Databloem, DBCD 08020
Danny Kreutzfeldt is a versatile and praised artist, who has been doing a lot of styles under various names for years, and certainly shouldn’t be a new name to people familiar with Databloem. Exhalo is his third album as Sgnl_fltr on Databloem and as with the others, it’s packed with deep grooves, dense atmospheres and refined effects. This time around, the amount of genres mixed together is staggering, with warm ambient, cold techno, abstract electronica and gritty soundscapes seamlessly flowing together during the course of the album. Sgnl_fltr -- "Vebra" -- CD -- €10
2004 Databloem, DBCD 010
Glitchy ambient-techno from Danny Kreutzfeldt releasing under his alternate name. If you like ambient/experimental with a down-tempo attitude then you just cannot go wrong. Each track is an experiment, a blank canvas to which a sonic abstract painting is applied. [label info]

Spielerei -- "Publix" -- CD -- €10
2005 Databloem, DBCD 014
There are times when just by listening to the first few notes you instantly know that you are in for a treat. I do not know how is does, but it works for me every time. I hope this is also true for you as the opening track entitled Tradition is a magnificent slice of electronic music. Surely there is no way that this standard can be maintained. The following track features gentle ambiences and moody bass notes that are carefully assembled into a haunting main theme composed using lots of differing sounds and sequences that continues to maintain the fascination. I think that Delight certainly lives up to its title and on reflection is even better than the opener. Area starts as being very low-fi with muffled sequences that are almost on the point of annoyance but slowly the quality appears to improve and rich Tangerine Dream style sequences emerge that are bound to please many. Technical quality is restored on the following track that again provides classic melodic electronic ambiences that persuade the mind to relinquish the mental pressure and all anguish is banished. Relaxation is the only thought to be encouraged when listening and thoroughly enjoying Renovation. This excellent release finishes in true ambient style with the appropriately titled Restplace, which describes the evocative piece precisely. Dennis Knopper has a major flair, which thankfully he shares with those who choose to listen to this truly exquisite music. [Modern Dance]

Spielerei & Mantacoup -- "Wichman And Other Pieces" -- CD -- €10
2004 Databloem, DBCD 009
The Wichman Concert recorded live on March 13 2004 at Theatre Graff Wichman in Huizen, Holland, as part of the Alfa Centauri EM Festival series. Last 4 tracks are studio works. "This is an album that is very hard to pigeonhole but it is one of the best 'contemporary' sounding albums I have heard all year." - David Law. "Separately they have had some solid releases; together they are phenomenal." - Phil Derby. [label info]

Stokes, Saul -- "Radiate" -- CD -- €10
2003 Databloem, DBCD 006
Saul Stokes (USA) is a ambient-electronic artist with a number of highly regarded albums to his credit, and a very distinctive sound derived from his hand-forged electronics. Radiate is a startlingly bright and beautiful album, with sonic washes both warm and experimental. It also offers newcomers their best glimpse at the two modes of Stokes's work , willful improvisation and chilled ambient-techno. [label info]

Sudden Infant -- "Ear Wash" -- CD -- €10
2003 SSSM, sssm-104, (ltd. 500)
Absolutely deranged mixture of improvised noise, natural instruments (trombone and bass-guitar), cut-up technique, sampled voices and various abrupt sounds. Everything served under a hot sauce of crazy humour typical for this Swiss performance band.

Sudden Infant -- "Solothurn" -- CD -- €10
1994 Pure
Classical album from legendary Swiss performance act, a member of Schimpfluch Gruppe. Children screams, water murmur & ticking clock turn into barbarian power electronics and metal clanks. Powerful! [YAOP]

Survival Unit -- "Murder For The Mission" -- CD -- €11
2005/2009 Autarkeia, acd 034
Although the cult album Fentanyl Martyrs embodied the death of Survival Unit project, the latter is toxic even while buried. The zombies are coming back. The new album Murder For The Mission is Volume 1 of old and very rare, almost unobtainable retrospective records of the Swedish cult project or the collection of cultural terrorism. The album Murder For The Mission includes both released and yet unreleased tracks from a few sessions. These are Vemod label's tape Murder For The Mission, a concert in Paris and the CDR Utan Fana released as very limited edition. So the audio terror goes on and those who believe that it has ended after the Fentanyl Martyrs act, now will pay the double price. The extremely aggressive psycho-powerelectronics shock full of hatred and insane samples will get them. [press-release]

Survival Unit -- "Thought-Trigger-Target" -- CD -- €11
2001/2009 Autarkeia, acd 040
Here is one more masterpiece of Swedish cultural terrorism supplemented with new material and re-released in the golden collection of cultural terrorism series. If compared with the most aggressive albums of Kristian Olsson’s gang Survival Unit, this one is perhaps more atmospheric than openly destructive. Yet, like all other Survival Unit’s diversions, it is pervaded by the black social despair, hate towards human civilisation and the lies it spreads about the reality. It also conveys the position of a person developed in the violent world, i.e. violence against violence for violence. Resistance to everything and anything. Life and its meaning in a nihilistic fight against the surrounding fake reality. This album is a gloomy insight into the future that awaits us all and a fine lesson showing us what stands at the end of the Scandinavian idyll. The album is released in a very elegant digipack with an embossed cover. [press-release]

Survival Unit -- "Will To Zero" -- CD -- €11
2002/2009 Autarkeia, acd 039
Will To Zero is the third part in Survival Unit’s golden collection of cultural terrorism series, actually meant for crippling as many people as possible without a hope of recovery. Daresay, that all in this album serves for the attainment of this purpose. The duration of esp. aggressive and deranged tracks exceeds 15 mins. Very straightforward sound, often reminding the invasion of rats, crushes the minds of all calibres. Do you believe your nerves are strong enough to take this? Then read the title once again and then go buy medical insurance. Zero chances to withstand. But those who do, will surely require medicines for the rest of their lives. The release is presented in a fine digipack of three embossed sides. [press-release]

Sutcliffe Jugend -- "This Is The Truth" -- CD -- €10
2008 Ground Fault Recordings, GF-166 / Hospital Productions, HOS-166, (ltd. 1000)
The first new recordings from Sutcliffe Jugend in over 8 years. Sutcliffe Jugend began in 1982 as a sub-project from the main extreme band, Whitehouse, and instantly gained notoriety as one of the harshest exponents of the original power electronics scene in the world. After releasing the monumental 10xCS boxset "We Spit On Their Graves" on Come Organisation in 1982, Sutcliffe Jugend released a handful of albums until 1999. A single 7" was released in 2001 and they weren't heard from again since 2006 when they played their first ever live show. Four shows were performed in 2006 and work on a new studio album was soon underway. One of the most extreme, influential and mysterious bands of the early 80s were back almost 25 years later. Recorded and mixed during the latter half of 2006, Kevin Tomkins returns to vocals for the first time since "The Victim As Beauty". While this album is a continuation of all before, it feels like a new beginning for them, for the first time Kevin and Paul have started to experiment with the Sutcliffe Jugend sound. Lyrically things have also moved on a great deal, with a more personal aspect to the songs than ever before. [press-release]

Telepherique & Contagious Orgasm -- "Cyouwa" -- CD -- €10
2002 SSSM, sssm-105, (ltd. 500)

Thighpaulsandra -- "Chamber Music" -- CD -- €10
2005 Lumberton Trading Company, LUMB002
When asked to describe Thighpaulsandra's work to somebody recently, it was difficult to find the rightwords to serve any justice. Perhaps the best thing to therefore do is simply respond by illustrating this highly accomplished and visionary musician has been known for his assistance with groups and artists as diverse as Coil, Spiritualized and Julian Cope as much as his own albums during recent enough memory. The album he has recorded for LTCo, 'Chamber Music', certainly compounds matters, too. Combining musiqueconcrete, quasi-dimensional electronics, ravaged hums, atmospheric tones and allmanner of different instruments nodding into focus, it's his most cohesive work todate. To simply declare it the result of an active imagination would still fall far short of giving it enough credit. Active imaginations have, after all, been known to deliver much less than a solitary Thighpaulsandra track. [label info]

Thorofon -- "Final Movement" -- CD -- €13
2002/2007 Klanggalerie, gg94, (ltd. 500)
A milestone in Thorofon's back catalogue, 'Final Movement' was released on the band's own UMB label in 2002. A very limited version of the album had a 10" included which is also present on this CD re-issue. And in addition, we have thrown in a previously unreleased track so the playing time is extended to nearly 80 minutes. Thorofon are a German-based duo consisting of Genevieve Pasquier (who also records as a solo artist) and Anton Knilpert. Although their sound is very unique, their roots lie in classic 80's Industrial - 'Final Movement' starts where SPK stopped in the mid Eighties. 'Bloodheat' is more your Cabaret Voltaire or Portion Control. A killer album first time on CD. [press-release]

Waki -- "Music For Waki People" -- CD -- €10

Waldron, M.S. / Steven Stapleton / Sigtryggur Berg Sigmarsson / Jim Haynes / R. K. Faulhaber -- "The Sleeping Moustache" -- CD -- €10
2006 Helen Scarsdale Agency, HMS 007, (ltd. 1700)
M.S. Waldron may be best known for his work as irr. app. (ext.), an unwieldy moniker that begets uncanny, hallucinatory sound. Steven Stapleton is the genius behind Nurse With Wound, the consistently unpredictable project that scrambles musical obsessions for krautrock, surrealism, and avant-garde composition into a brash quest for expressionism through experimentation. Sigtryggur Berg Sigmarsson hails from the Icelandic electro-absurdist duo Stilluppsteypa, which continues to investigate the finer points of drunken minimalism. Jim Haynes prefers to merely state that he rusts things. R.K. Faulhaber is something of a mysterious figure, looming around Mr. Waldron's irr. app. (ext.) recordings and performances while keeping his own work a hermetic secret... Each with a peculiar understanding of the audio arts, these five artists came to the proverbial table and thought it a good idea to collaborate. Given the predilection for the surreal and the sidereal that each of these five employ in their many audio and visual projects, those agendas oozed from the recordings that became known as The Sleeping Moustache... An epiphany of controlled disorder, a convulsion of beauty, a cascade of thought from delirious minds, The Sleeping Moustache is an exquisite manifestation of sound poetry scattered into a tortuous collage mired in an oblique melancholy. Magnetic tones extracted from the ether, mechanical sounds smeared into a lugubrious growls, horns trumpeting straight out of John's Book of Revelation, ululations sliced into information overload that Schwitters himself would be proud of. The Sleeping Moustache presents a psychically instable landscape, where dreams and nightmares wreak havoc upon the drudgery of daily life. The closest audible territory for The Sleeping Moustache might be the psychoactive constructions of Nurse With Wound's Homotopy To Marie, although the characters in this drama happened upon an entirely different map of that terrain. Westwind -- "Tourmente I" -- 2 LP -- €15
2004 Steelwork Machine, SMR03, (ltd. 500)
It’s a conceptual album consecrated to the destruction of Brest (France) during summer ’44 by both German and American forces. The idea of destruction perfectly fits to the global, nihilistic atmosphere of Westwind. The tracks remained untitled, but perfectly represent a state of destruction, death and desolation! We here get 4 cuts starting with long intros, which slowly evolves into ambient deadscapes driven by furious rhythms. Some pieces are a little bit too long in their intro, but it always ends in a real kind of apotheosis! [...] This is an interesting concept made in France! [...] [SideLine]

:Wulgata: -- "Echoes of the past... not far away" -- CD -- €10
2008 Beast Of Prey, bop 5.0, (ltd. 444)
WULGATA is our Polish musical project, who for the past few years was creating dark ambient and industrial sounds in quiet spots of Silesia. "Echoes of the past...not far away" is a compilation of what best in WULGATA, most bold and most varied. Deceitful album, from one side announcing the coming of a mortal threat, and from the other, a reflection of some inner strenght, that tries to break free and whispering calm the spirit. 55 minuts album composed from grim dark ambient sounds to rhtmical and industrial elements. Varied album depicting early Cold Meat sounds combined with what the best od Coil's "Musick to Play in the Dark”. Unconventional release made from brown and printed cardboard. V/A -- "3A4ИCTKA (Fuck The Modern World)" -- CD -- €10
2005 Autarkeia, acd 007, (ltd. 900)
The release dedicated to the second festival of industrial music - NORDIC AUDIO MODERN which took place in Vilnius on 7 May 2005. Compilation consists of tracks never published, remixed or performed by the world's famous guests of the festival - CON-DOM, THE GREY WOLVES, DEUTSCH NEPAL, FROZEN FACES, HAZARD, JANITOR, TRAUR ZOT, WEJDAS. In the slang of Russian military task-force, "Zachystka" carries the meaning of purging the certain territory of everything that moves and breathes. Shortly speaking - destruction. Many of industrial-minded people who had been attended the second NORDIC AUDIO MODERN festival stated that it was one of the most tremendous acts of brain defragmentation through their whole life. This CD may be considered the odd memento of that unforgettable night. Zachystka !!! [press-release]
