Under the cover of the 3rd studio album of Noises Of Russia - a project which has chosen Tanatos to be their perpetual muse - there are two post-modern mysteries at once, two doors to the viscous and twilight space encyclopaedically oversaturated with the symbols of death of various traditions. The final countdown turns into a long immersion in a cold cerbal-sonic abyss where it's impossible to find out for sure if you are calmed or frightened, comforted or sneered at... if they mourn for you, a mortal, or are they glad for you, an immortal. The album also contains a ritual video for the track "Spirit", not however making the issue more clear.

The name of Anthesteria is already well-known to the connoisseurs of Russian post-industrial music. This project has released two solo CDs, a collaboration work with Stalnoy Pakt, and a number of tracks on various compilations. After this the project's leader George Beloglazov founded his own multimedia studio Phantomery Interactive and focused his attention on creating computer games with an unconventional author approach.

After releasing the appreciated game "Sublustrum" ("Outcry") filled with the spirit of decadence, steampunk and sombre surrealism, spring 2010 saw the release of a new psychological quest - "Phobos 1953". The action takes place in March 1953 in an abandoned Soviet bunker - a place of strange experiments on the human psyche. The game explores such themes as the limits of mental possibilities, the electronic voice phenomenon, experiments with thought-transference and impact of fear on the human organism.

The game soundtrack, presented on this CD, embodies the project's concept in sound. Imbued with an industrial atmosphere, leisurely soundscapes turn into states of calm estrangement and isolationism. Excursions into the unknown corners of the consciousness bring to its surface old memories and long forgotten yet vaguely familiar images... and laboratorial claustrophobia grows into light melancholia. This musical picture is performed in the trademark style of Anthesteria combining abstract dark ambient, melodic neoclassics and experimental sonic artifacts.

The release is packed in a DVD-size double cardboard sleeve with full-colour cards depicting game locations and fragments of a book about mental suggestions from 1962. Released in cooperation with 7Hz Records.

Secret land lost in an unknown dimension... Like ancient ruins this place hides the traces of stories, which are told in this new album by the St. Petersburg project Eonic. This is their 6th release (and 2nd "professional" CD) and it easily combines different stylistic approaches, making its own way to the listener's heart. Ethno-gothic in vein of Dead Can Dance and Arcana is layered over tout electronic rhythms a la Delerium and Enigma and spiced by pleasant psychedelic arrangements. Musicians don't hesitate to step on the territory of pop-ambient and even new-age, and it just adds more lightness and airness to their energetic music. A firm and masterful work.

IV. NEW ITEMS IN MAILORDER CATALOGUE

CD-R/CD

Abutor' -- "Stalinorgel" -- CD-R -- €7
2007 Artius
Harsh military-EBM / Harsh Electro with ideological lyrics and brutal vocals, dedicated to WWII. [YAOP]

Ad Lux Tenebrae -- "Ancestor's Call" -- CD -- €10
2008 Vegvisir music, o:002, (ltd. 963)
First full-length CD of Ad Lux Tenebrae (or K Svetu T'my - in Russian language), released after several split, collaboration and CDR editions. The disk contains two rituals, first was performed in the evening of Jan. 23rd, 2008, second - during the night on May 24-25th, 2004. Shamanic Dark / Drone Ambient of Ad Lux Tenebrae is the sound of the most ancient and deepest layers of existence, irrational and anti-rational, utterly alien to nowadays people, the manifestation of human side not distorted by the influence of "civilization" and "modern society". Message from the source where the essence of Nature and human flow together. Music from pre-times and out of time. The noise produced by humanoid organisms crawling about piles of metal and plastic, now completely drowns the call from the source of all living. Musicians of Ad Lux Tenebrae act as media, conductors that embody this signal, not bringing anything personal in the act of creation. In their rituals they use the original instruments like tambourine, self-made drums, tube, flutes and other untitled instruments made by themselves. Every ritual is put into a completed action only once, and will never be repeated in future... First ritual is intense and uneasy. A ritual of purifying from momentary things and merging with something that was rejected long time ago in blindness and stupidity. This is a wind tearing apart rotten meat of momentary and dissolving in an inexpressible glow from beyond. The storm of the first ritual gives place to pacification of the second one, but this calmness is illusive. Just like a pillow of moss in the middle of a forest looks so calm and safe, but it hides deadly depth of swamp pit underneath. Ghostly lights appearing in the very border of vision in short yet infinite moment of daybreak twilight, they lure inside the thicket warped in ghostly mist. The road of this music is tempting and frightening, what's gonna happen with the one following it?.. This CD is dedicated to the memory of Raven, a permanent member of the band, passed away in cold autumn of 2008. Rituals of "Ancestor's Call" were among the last recordings done with his participation. [press-release]

Collaboration between one of the giants of Russian drone-scene - Adriva from Rostov-on-Don, and YAO 91404 D from Ingria. Industrial / musique concrete in classical style of Pierre Schaeffer and Brume. Industrial noises, hum and clanks of mechanisms, loops, howl of the wind, hiss of air trunks and warped parts of musical instruments are mixed together into a complex multi-layered retro-futuristic industrial symphony. Two-sided printed sleeve. [press-release]

Alio Die -- "Music Infinity Meets Virtues" -- CD -- €12
2009 Nextera, ERA 2060 2

Anhedonia -- "Ontology" -- CD -- €10
2009 Aliens Production, AP 19, (ltd. 550)
A long awaited album of this talented musician, who has with its album DESTRUCTIVE FORCES crossed waters of idm genre and his next phase will be for sure a desert for fans of industrial community. Crystal electronics in pulsating rhythms and atmospheric labyrinths is again timeless phase in production of this creative artist, that is crossing over boundaries of human perception. Noncommercial electronic full of alterations and industrial methods in combination with melodies and destructive surfaces. On this album you can find interesting cooperations with projects like: DOCTOROFMINDMD, SOMBRA, DISHARMONY, that has moved this work again on higher level. [press-release]

Anti-Verstand -- "Listen, the Other Side" -- CD-R/Lathe -- €9
2010 Produck
A digital / analogue release: first 21 mm from the center of a usual CD-R are recorded traditionally, and the outer 15 mm are lathe-cut for record players. Actually this material was given to label as YAO 91404 D, but Produck has named it Anti-Verstand for some unknown reason. So, the digital side is "Listen, the Other Side": fragments from self-titled Soviet-Mongol movie from 1971 about military noisicians (!), analogue rough noise and lo-fi industrial, free singing in Mongolian and Japanese languages. "Vinyl" part presents a track from the forthcoming YAO 91404 D (whatever labels say! :)) album, conceived in far 2002 and recorded in almost primordial concrete industrial way in 2008. Sleeve. [from the author]

ARC -- "Glassine 1" -- CD -- €11
2008 A Silent Place, ASP22
Glassine I was recorded live at the Ambient Ping in Toronto on 03/07/2006; and can be easily described as an organic space ambient, with very strong references to Pink Floyd (Ummagumma), Popol Vuh, Ashra Temple, Jackie-O Motherfucker, O Yuki Conjugate, AMP and Flying Saucer Attack or "Fourth World" ambient music! Four tracks of pure vibrant multi-layered psychedelic drone music! Now, close your eyes, listening to "Glassine I" and start for your trip even without the intake of any substances! [press-release]

Arktau Eos -- "Ai Ma Ra" -- 2 CD -- €15
2009 Aural Hypnox, [AH11], (ltd. 1000)
Ai Ma Ra is a monumental album containing over 105 minutes of experimental elemental and ambient music, original in the literal sense of the word. More than music, it is 'ethnography of the unknown' in action, providing vistas into rarely glimpsed corners of reality. Created primarily on acoustic instruments, organs and harmonium, carefully mastered on vintage tape, the sound is equally earthy as it is otherworldly – a contradiction in terms maybe, but then Ai Ma Ra is not classified easily in any other respect either. It is a record in which to immerse one’s self over time, containing more than two years' worth of strange experiences and sensations distilled into a curious, potent elixir, the use of which may in its truest sense be determined only by the individual listener... Ai Ma Ra, pressed in 1.000 copies, comes in a sturdy, deep green cardboard box stamped with the mark of Arktau Eos. Contained within is an 8-page booklet bound in tкte-bкche format on high quality paper, a small talismanic print, and two CDs. [press-release]
[myspace]

Augsburger Tafelconfect -- "Fusion In The Slaughterhaus" -- CD -- €9
2004 Nneon, Nneon 002-2
Augsburger Tafelconfect is an audiovisual hamburgian trio consisting of Jyrgen Hall, who also recorded quite a lot of stuff for Cologne's finest label Staubgold under the name of Gunter Adler, as well as with his group Gronland Orchester, on laptop and electronics. Musically he teams up with Sebastian Reier on volcano-guitar. Their name pays tribute to the frivolous medieval music of Valenthin Rathgeber but their music is far away from that. Mixing electronically processed analogue guitar, computer, electronics as well as concrete sounds and beatz, they create a kind of half-improvised music that kicks ass instead of boring people with too much academic referentiality - their live sets add another component: the strong and colorful atmospheric visuals by BaronesseA who is also the designer of Nneon. This is their debut recording. [Fulldozer]

Barabino, Federico & Maklakov, Vitaly -- "Fleur Light" -- CD-R -- €7
2008 Heart-Shaped Box Prod., HSB-033, (ltd. 21)
Collaboration between Argentinian and Russian artists. Psychedelic drone ambient and unprocessed naturally sounding solos on acoustic guitar. Nice full-colour cover. [YAOP]

Barbarossa Umtrunk -- "Wehrwolf Dharma" -- CD -- €10
2010 Ufa Muzak, UFA 33, (ltd. 200)
Military pop / Esoteric industrial. UFA presents a grandiose album by the French sound battalion BARBAROSSA UMTRUNK. This masterpiece is hard to file under a certain style, as they are so interwoven in music and can't be clearly defined. Ethnic elements, cimbals, shamanic singing, heavy drones, synth lines and lots of vocals blend together into an insane mix of apocalyptic, ritual and orchestral neoclassics. The album's concept is no less complex and sophisticated, it was inspired by the theories of Hans Horbiger and northern dark shamans cults. Spinning around the magic of seids and werewolf mysteries, the hidden plot of the songs tells us about the attempt to rewrite the history of Hyperborean race from the very beginning, from the fall of Thule legend. The ice-cold atmosphere of this album penetrates into the fundamental principle of a mystery, and the werewolf spirit sleeping in collective unconscious wakes up. BU ised in their work texts by J. Parvulescu, R. Howard, A. Rosenberg, M. Marmin (creator of "Greece" new right-wing group in France). The album contains tribute songs to Runes Order and Celtic Frost... Cold merciless ambience of a forest where secret is buried in soil itself, dark paths that protect and wreck, gibbous Moon singing silent songs... in darkness it starts the dreadful game of death, and the sound of broken bones and the wild howl of wolves become a new catastrophic believe. 10 tracks, 72 minutes, 200 copies, sturdy 4-panel sleeve with an insert. [press-release]

Bates, Martyn -- "Mystery Seas (Letters Written #2)" -- CD -- €14
2005 Shayo, Shayo 006
MARTYN BATES started sending his LETTERS WRITTEN in 1982, when he released his first solo work - the highly personal character of which demanded a songform made of the most basics ( keyboards + voice). And while this work went obscured by the magnificence EYELESS IN GAZA radiated constantly, (disbanded 1986 - reformed 1993)..., a second batch of LETTERS WRITTEN, appeared after reunion. Slowly evolved themes, haunted droning keyboards, autumn/winter romantic atmospheres and Martyn`s dominating vocals (in great shape) rule again, but this time sound is a bit less monotonous, the folk scent is stronger, arrangement includes some percussion, winds and.... it is the discreet (nearly illusional) presence of PETER BECKER (co-production, percussion, vocal harmonies) that makes, behind shadows, these seas nearly as mysterious and seductive as some of the best EYELESS IN GAZA works. [label info]

Beyond Sensory Experience & Moljebka Pvlse -- "Zielona Gora" -- CD -- €11
2009 Ur Muzik, UR 001, (ltd. 500)
We at Ur Muzik headquarters love Sweden... and we are proud to present our very first release 'Zielona Gуra' by the well known Swedish acts Beyond Sensory Experience and Moljebka Pvlse. Both bands were invited in April 2008 to play a concert in Zielona Gуra, Poland. After the concert the two bands joined together on stage and recorded the raw material for this release. This material was then taken to chilly Stockholm and reworked by the artists. The result is a monumental, 70 minutes long, dark ambient work that unifies the excellence of Beyond Sensory Experience and Moljebka Pvlse's worlds. Released as a digipack and limited to 500 copies only. [press-release]

Bianchi, Maurizio -- "Muitnelis" -- CD-R -- €7
2007 TIBProd., TIBCD085
Phonometric composition for concrete sounds and magnetic oscillations, electronically transformed by Siegmar Fricke in the summer of 2006. [label info]

Bianchi, Maurizio (M.B.) + Nimh -- "Together's Symphony" -- 4 CD box -- €38
2005 Silentes Minimal Editions, smebox1, (ltd. 300)
An extraordinary collaboration between the hystorical italian de-composer Maurizio Bianchi and the eclectic electronic-ambiental experimenter Nimh (Giuseppe Verticchio). An unmissable 4CD box that's a long and kaleidoscopic journey at the edges of sound, from the dark-industrial feelings of Together's Symphony, CD that gives the box the title, to experimental-lyric-introspective atmospheres of Secluded Truths, to sonic multicoloured collages of Niddah Emmhna, by the only M.B., and the electronic-acoustic-ambiental visionary suggestions of Subterranean Thoughts by the only Nimh. Endocrine insulation for diagnostic firabilities. [press-release]

Big City Orchestra -- "Eerily" -- CD -- €10
2009 EE Tapes, EE17, (ltd. 300)

Black Leather Jesus -- "Yes, Sir (Filth Play)" -- CD -- €10
2009 Mask Of The Slave, MS-020, (ltd. 500)
The great new album from the legendary Texas based noise band formed in 1989! The 20th Anniversary album! The band was founded by Richard Ramirez. Currently, it also includes Kevin Novak (TEF), Sean Matzus (The Secret Geography/ITLOA), Scott Houston (Respirator/S.P.I.T.), Vance Osborne (Murex/ITLOA), with occasional assistance by Jovan Hernandez (ze'r0-sum/Anatomy of a Blackout). [label info]

Borisov, Alexei & Anton Nikkilä -- "Where Are They Now" -- CD -- €8
2007 N&B Research Digest, NBRD 008
Borisov and Nikkilä are sticking around for many years, occasionally collaborating here and there and helping each other with their solo efforts, too. Moreover, they are both involved in N&B Research Digest label, which is intended for all their current projects. "Where Are They Now" is the most recent N&B's release, out in 2007. Besides the usual juggling with textual images inducing the nostalgic feelings, they succeed also some stylistic experiments: sometimes all we can hear is jazz, although it's all made by electronic means (excluding the guitars). Some tracks recorded live during the gigs in several european venues, as far as Borisov uses to play his sets in very different and unpredictable way. So what about is this album? Well, as we getting older we got obsessed with our memories more and more, as they are growing too. Seems that musicians are trying to recollect these memories in somehow chaotic and say confusing approach. But they apparently succeed with this, because we are all the brothers in time, so it's always charming and transparent idea to share and commemorate. [Fulldozer]

Brume -- "After The Battle (A Chronicle Of The Joy Of Life)" -- CD -- €10
2009 EE Tapes, EE18, (ltd. 300)

Buckettovsissors -- "Brain Erase" -- CD-R -- €7
Produck
Droney rough noise, almost atmospheric dark ambient! Recording of a gig performed in a small railway carriage with the use of reverb made of a tin can. Sleeve. [YAOP]

Captain Heroin -- "Drama" -- CD-R -- €6
Onyxia, onyx006
Captain Heroin is the frolic analogue anaconda with clashing sounds of plaintive retro-electro and stomping hot vibrations of elegance. The dramatic act of Captain Heroin’s artificial music seeks happiness in loneliness, sadness and madness. The electric disco sound of reluctant nausea and disturbance makes Captain Heroin the reptile that sneaks in the electronic jungle of the Garden of Eden and commands to eat from the tree of drama. The musical streamlines travel from the highest peaks of happiness into the deepest pits of despair and delirium: music from sunshine to heartbeat flat-line. [press-release]

Colloboration Mat -- "A Recording" -- CD-RW -- €9
2010 Hlobkorobrecords, (ltd. 10)
Mayonnaise (noise-project of "Planeta im. Saharova"), Andrey Ivanovich (Mudenoise) and Teatral (leader of post-punk band "Tired Toys") in common industrial-noise jam. [label info]

Crumer, Jason -- "Local Scum" -- CD-R/Lathe -- €9
Produck, Produck008, (ltd. 25)
A digital / analogue release: first 21 mm from the center of a usual CD-R are recorded traditionally, and the outer 15 mm are lathe-cut for record players. Wild neanderthal harsh noise with industrial touch, live recording from 2006. Sleeve. [YAOP]

Cyclotimia -- "Algorithms" -- CD -- €10
2005/2008 Rage In Eden, RAGE 52
Moscow duo Cyclotimia is one of the best recognized, well-known Russian projects in the electronic scene today. On "Algorithms" album Cyclotimia presents apocalyptic version of electronic music, dark ambient sounds supported by bouncing electronic rhythms, religious samples and different effects, all blended in that way which makes this album very intriguing. Cyclotimia's trademark sound proceeds from using a mix of the modern synthesis technologies and cult vintage analog / Soviet machines. For all who listen into Ulver, Holon or Forma Tadre. 11 tracks, 52 minutes, 3 panel glossy digipack. [press-release]
[mp3]

Dead Man's Hill -- "Songs From The Forthcoming Apocalypse" -- CD -- €13
2008 Midnight-Productions, MN011, (ltd. 500)
After almost 2 years of silence, Dead Man's Hill is now back with a new full length, which goes about the apocalypse, and what will happen thereafter. This is a journey which starts on a darkened earth, which sky is filled with aurora's and fire, and continues it's way trough planets and spaces of no life. The music on this album sounds in the line of Dog Burial, but with more atmospheric elements, more blackmetal influences and haunting vocals. Comes in digipack and 7-page booklet. [press-release]

Disharmony -- "Evolution" -- CD -- €10
2009 Tympanik Audio, TA029
Under-rated, yet revered with undying admiration by the already initiated, this Slovakian duo has (un)quietly scorched the underground Electro-Industrial scene for many years, releasing several continuously morphing collections of work amongst the awe of fans and music critics alike... With a plethora of remixing and album credits to their name, dISHARMONY manage to speak volumes once again with their signature brand of down-tempo, yet hard-hitting electronica-tinged dark electro works, paying never mind to any looming trends, but instead constantly evolving beyond the typical genre clones and earn their right to the throne amongst a horde of imitators... You may know dISHARMONY’s critically-hailed last album ‘Malignant Shields‘. You may know their prolific remix collection ‘Cloned: The Other Side Of Evolution‘. You may know their recent collaborations with the likes of Flint Glass, Totakeke, Mnemonic, Stendeck, Fractional, Anhedonia, Zentriert ins Antlitz, and countless others. But be sure of this: you do not know ‘Evolution‘… Yet. [press-release]

DJ Chaban -- "Acid Kishlak" -- CD-RW -- €9
2010 Hlobkorobrecords, (ltd. 10)
Azerbaijanian disco is the base of this album. Hot mix of Sabir's song "Golubka", muslim prayers over hip-hop beats and of course mega-hit "Allah is everywhere" in disco-funk style. This disk will burn the dancefloor! [label info]

On this album praising Allah, Chaban remixes Chechen and Dagestan pop music. Rasul Seitov, Timur Bisultanov and Timur Mutsuraev sing over harsh industrial rhythms. Dense and saturated dance sound for true muslims. Recommended to everyone not familiar with chaban-dance. Allah will punish you! [label info]

DJ Chaban -- "Muslim House" -- CD-RW -- €9

Earth Incubator / 581C -- "split" -- CD-R -- €7
2009 Heart-Shaped Box Prod., HSB-035, (ltd. 25)
Noise / dark ambient split between two Russian industrial projects (also owners of the labels Mind Noise Disintegration and Ostroga/HSB). Sprayed disk in a DVD box, children-made artwork. [YAOP]

Embryoptic -- "Blood Vessels" -- CD -- €11
1995 Connect The Dots Music, ctdmux 02, (ltd. 500)
Minimalistic organic art noise with rare invasions of rhythms. Artwork made of transparent plastic. Rare. [YAOP]

Flutwacht -- "30 Monkeys" -- CD -- €11
2006/2007 The Tourette Tapes, TT#4, (ltd. 300)
Reissue of the extremely limited (30 copies) Apocalyptic Radio release from 2006, with bonus, previously unreleased, tracks. "30 Monkeys" is the soundtrack for a world controlled by apes, crushing machines and noisescapes. "The music is a degenerate mass of harsh electronic waves and patterns as savage as the primate of the title. Even when Flutwacht lower the decibel levels down a fraction the violent restraint is never far from the surface. A brooding seething mass of noise waiting to erupt once more. The production on this release is crisp and clean... and this gives the recording a greater sense of depth and bite allowing the hugely powerful electronics full reign to take centre stage... Take the best aspects of Propergol, minus the samples, and multiply the effect by ten". [Heathen Harvest]

Flutwacht -- "Creta" -- CD -- €11

Halo Manash -- "Taiwaskivi" -- CD + DVD -- €15
2009 Aural Hypnox, [AH12 / AHDVD01], (ltd. 500)
As winter hibernation and spring awakening gives way to summer, Halo Manash rises radiant into luminosity, with wings spread into all worlds, and brings forth Taiwaskivi, an opulent work of solar ambience and primordial Ur-music... Taiwaskivi, a work of sonic flame and aural ash, consists of seven interrelated tracks, utilizing such diverse instrumentation as organ, horns, vocals, drums, gongs, percussions and various string instruments as well as field-recordings captured during the pilgrimage that the creation of the work embodies... An air of finality abounds, as Taiwaskivi, although a complete work in itself, can also be viewed as the third and final facet of a tripartite series of works that are part of one holistic creation – a treelogy, with seed, root, trunk and finally, branches. Being the culmination of an ascending journey through the aforementioned realms within and without, Taiwaskivi is the celestial crown at the peak, reaching toward Sol, source and beyond; it is the leaves and fruit of the branches and their skybound nectar ever-flowing - the sacred fire, the consummation and conjunction of All... Comes in a hand finished cardboard booklet with inserts. [press-release]

irr. app. (ext.) -- "Perekluchenie" -- CD -- €14
2005 Beta-lactam Ring Records, mt072b
Behind every ambiguously pronounced name lies an ambiguously pronounced sense of purpose. In other words: who can say what is really going on here? Whatever it is, it is delightfully dada. irr. app. (ext.) remain more concrete (i.e. musique) than a rusting parking structure on a windy day. Music does occasionally spill out from the crisp snips and gravel, but it is only as one other element in an overall sound construct. Here, no-music IS the music! Get it? Now go read some John Cage. The simplicity of a burbling stream washes out of a reverberation of flange. Voices are air dropped into the squeaking remnants of things left decaying in the basement. Small noises are looped and heaped upon one another, evoking a temporarily quiet cacophony that is sloooowly faaaaded ooooout in favour of a slooowly faaaaaded iiiin drones vs frogs episode. One thinks lovingly on Hafler Trio, P16.D4, NWW, Chris Watson, etc. Put your Irr. to the App. and get (Ext.)! [press-release]

Kadaver -- "God Has Left The Building" -- CD-R -- €7
2006 Mask of the Slave, MS-008, (ltd. 150)
Kadaver is a 1man project by Michael Zolotov from Israel. Active since 2003 (yet the first release came out on 2005). The sounds of Kadaver shifts from dark and twisted ambient through industrial till harsh noise and power electronics. This is NOT art nor music. Kadaver is NOT an artist trying to "creatively express himself" via this format. This is a cancer. It’s sickness. It’s a warm streaming vomit of hatred towards life, humans and existence. It’s the knife in your hand when nightmares twist your dreams. It’s the emptiness that devours your meaningless being and bleed as tears of decay over it. This is not for anyone... This is Kadaver. Last Influence Of Brain -- "Two Faces" -- CD -- €10
2009 Aliens Production, AP 20
In 1996, Solo and Blazena started the electro-industrial project "Samhain" and a few months later, they were joined by Bop, a close collaborator of K.I.F.O.T.H and a founding member of the electro act "Mindscape". In 1998, the trio launched a new project "Loct In" venturing into complex atmospheric sound, but both projects were left unnoticed. The early missteps have prompted the band members to go back to their roots and explore the old school electro sound. Last Influence of Brain (LIOB) came to life in 1999. The demo debut "Revolution Countries Evolution" and the follow-up EP "Escape" have earned them a steadily growing fanbase, and stirred the attention of the now defunct label Black Flames Records, which offered them a contract for a European release in 2003." Four years after their highly-regarded debut "Illusions and Reality", Last Influence of Brain are on the verge of storming their way back into the alternative electronic scene. "Inner Wars" features over 75 minutes of authentic dark elektro pleasure that would appeal to young electrofreaks and veteran rivetheads alike. Gems such as "Return", "Absent Meaning", "Inner Wars" and Why are You Waiting?" are destined to become dark elektro classics. The album concludes with an ecstatic remix of "Why Are You Waiting?" by the Brain Leisure. [press-release]

Organomehanizm -- "Quiet Insanity" -- CD-R -- €8
2009 Rokot, RKT-07, (ltd. 100)
New album of recently reactivated noisician Kirill Stoukalin from Leningrad — you must forget about Saint-Petersburg here for it's pure concrete hash, rusty metal, killing cold humidity and mouldiness of Soviet era city on the banks of Neva. Kirill was a founder of Reductio Ad Absurdum — one of the very first Russian Industrial projects which started in the same time infamous Alexander Lebedev-Frontov did (early 1990s). If you still haven't heard a track from it -- you are loosing some great experience of feeling pure old-school madness and simplicity in the vein of M.B. and M.O. "Quiet insanity" includes 8 tracks of decomposed vinyl records, analogue sound sources and various schizophrenic samples. [press-release]

Outofsight -- "Vodka Likes Smoke (The Damned Poets)" -- CD -- €10
2007 Rage In Eden, RAGE 51
Poor alcohol and smoky interior of a pub. The common despair shouted out in rare moments of sobriety. The terrible, absurd atmosphere of Poland in 50’s and 60’s of last century. Young people, poets, writers, painters and musicians thrown out of „happy and ideal” society created by communistic authorities. People sinking their dreams in vodka. The works of those damned: Kazimierz Raton (1942-1983), Marek Hlasko (1934-1969) and Edward Stachura (1937-1979) was inspiration for this moving album. Musically it is perfectly blended mix of cold wave, neofolk, pop and even echoes of decadent cabaret with different guest vocals. With no doubt one of the most interesting albums from Rage In Eden Records / WOP in 2007. [press-release]

2008 Unrest Productions, UNPRCD02, (ltd. 500)
Finally the first real long-play album of this UK drone-duo presenting 6 long tracks of waving & slowly shifting massive drones, based on "guitar, bass, metal & effects". The sounds here are just flooding immensely, there's nothing "concrete" you can hold on to; the mind & body seem to be washed out slowly by these rustling, feedbacking & deeply reverberating overtune-waves. "Astral Death" is a journey into the pulsating, meandering heart of disintegration. Filed under: dark oceanic. [Drone Records]

Rajapinta -- "Bootleg Epiphanies" -- CD-R -- €6
2007 self-released, (ltd. 123)
"Bootleg Epiphanies" is a compilation of various material composed and recorded by Ibrahim Terzic and Niko Skorpio in various locations 2001-2006. Compiled and edited by Niko Skorpio in May/June 2007 in order to document the hundreds of hours of work and experiments Rajapinta have done through these years... The duo exercise extensive aural alchemy of mutating samples beyond recognition. There's heaps of tension and energy, and a presence that is unwilling to stay in one place for too long. Constant movement. Material ranges from subdued electro-acoustic soundscapes to fierce noise assaults... This is a semi-official, not-on-label release. The discs have been packed in surplus 7" sleeves (those of Reptiljan/Ibrahim Terzic split 7"), sealed with a large sticker that contains the art & info of the actual release. Limited edition of 123 copies, hand-numbered. [Some Place Else]

Richard For Cerebellum -- "Thoughts That Breathe... Words That Burn" -- CD -- €13
2005 Zhark International, zhark cd 005
This CD will set up a pitch black surrounding, but it's not esoteric breakcore, it's more instrumental, with live drums and guitars, and with plenty of gloomy and droning bass, underlined by obscure industrial buzzes, as you can experience in "Lucid," "Propaganda (101 Mix)" and "Machines," which introduce you to the abysmal darkness of Thoughts That Breathe... Words That Burn. Don't think about distortions, there's no dark DSP nor heavy metal, "Devils/Angels" sounds very clear and natural, with deep beats pulsating under echoing dirges. Richard For Cerebellum mixes with much talent also stiff breaks and piano compositions, as in "Nada Prelude;" his classical music training is evident here as in the strings and cello pieces "Hope Deferred," "In Absence Of Illumination" and in the never-ending "Symphony For Dying." Unfortunately this classical section is far too long and despite an effective and mesmerizing first half of the record, in the end one can easily lose attention. Nevertheless Thoughts That Breathe... is quite a unique record, with very intense moments and that will appeal to the most eclectic listeners. [Igloo]

2009 Ufa Muzak, UFA 32, (ltd. 150)
Neo Folk / Military pop. 32nd release from UFA is a folk-martial message from the French project Sinweldi. Politically incorrect and unambiguous. The utter questions of the lost mission of Teutonic chiefs. People among ruins in ice flames of tradition. Mystic law of territory of Ancient Europe. Holy regalia left and marked by that blood. Symbols and colours... In beautiful sound of French language and military atmosphere, in clear sound of acoustic guitar and various percussion all these themes crop out and become a normal reality again in this album of "A man with iron heart". 13 tracks, 50 minutes, 6-panel DIY-made digipak. Skorpio, Niko -- "NeitherSphere" -- CD-R -- €6
2009 Some Place Else, SPEDL090503
This EP contains two radical new mixes presenting different aspects of the key track from last year's highly acclaimed Half Born in Half Light album. 7" shoplifters mix, remixed by Niko Skorpio, strips away some of the drones to give emphasis to the complex tribal rhythms, also revealing the vibrant bassline. Karni Mata Dub, remixed by new acquaintance Karni Mata, shows the original tune completely taken to pieces and rebuilt as an all new track ruled by wild synths and hectic syncopated beats. Download and CDR formats include the album version as a bonus track. [press-release]

Spreu & Weizen / Der Jager -- "split" -- CD-R -- €8
2009 Ufa Muzak, UFA 31, (ltd. 120)
Martial Industrial / Nordic Classic. The disc as one has doubled twice. There's nothing impossible at all. This is not a best time to explain why.Even if it'll end we'll wait.Chronometric, expected and diluted at a hand shake, self-occupied as a snow at the hand. There's a memory at clothes and chevrons, you're sitting down, slowing down, nothing, just echo, you weren't here. You can see your names among running river's waters...SPREU & WEIZEN - are the artistic revolutionaries of military sence, and DER JAGER - is the compensation of last years' sins, as ulcers, they're removable.Military humour, weapon laughter, reference to Odin, the most distant marching for the answer that could be told just by the trunk.Yeah, Freya skipping at eyes, and the beast is stealing about.Mystical martial classic is cutting the air, kneeled industrial is minting the words. 4 tracks, 37 minutes, 4-side fullcolor cardboard envelope А5. Vresnit -- "Tunvet" -- CD -- €10
2009 Vegvisir music, o:008, (ltd. 484)
Shamanic Drone Ambient. Vresnit presented its first CD-release contained ecstatic & exploring records made in the fall of 2008 and remastered in winter-spring 2009. Vresnit is the project of one man working for artistic embodiment of the creative rotation within the label Vetvei. He was formerly known as ruler of Kerpg label, Pugna, Vagranok, Nrodum and other projects, now ceased their activities. Deaf thickets and swamps, heaven ravines, lost voices, unseen birds. Eternal mosses, lichens, fog and ancient trees. The path lies deeply through the thickets and higher to the sun, meeting with ancient human-animals, keepers of the Book. Majestic and archaic canvas neither begins nor ends, woven by the Sledge of Three-Worlds-Animals. The Words of scratches, beats, rings and rustles - all goes into vibrating flow of crudely woven muscarinic Shamanic Drone Ambient atmosphere. Tunvet appears as primitive experience for co-breathing with Earth, diving into the twilight forest and flowing into its beyond. Slow and endless movement in a Circle that appears as Eternal Order. A Myth of the World-Man Creation, a dreamflight, a meeting with the Forest Spirits preying on the flesh and substituting it with metal and stones, giving life to the Ancient Co-knowledge... Created using field recordings, voices and woodwinds, metal gongs, percussion and "concrete" sounds. Gripping, saturating and transforming experience of raw wind, celestial chariots and chthonic naturalism. [press-release]

Wereju -- "Through The Depths Of Unknowing" -- 2 CD -- €15
2006 Electric Requiems
Eerie, droning ambient soundscapes from Ireland, of all places -- two cds worth, in fact, although the total running time is under an hour. (Yes, I know that doesn't make sense -- don't look at me, I'm an innocent bystander here.) The sound falls somewhere between the more abstract work of Aidan Baker and the epic fall-of-drone works of Fear Falls Burning -- it's all gliding instrumental melancholy and heavily processed guitar, dark soundscapes that resemble the ambient sound of waves crashing on a distant shore while trawler horns bleat in the fog, or perhaps the hollow and disquieting sound reverberating through the subterranean tunnels surrounding the river Styx. There's a soothing quality to the depressed drone, though, with pleasing sonorous tones and an elegaic feel to most of the material, a sound that's every bit as intriguing as it is meditative. This is music for mystical journeys through darkened inner landscapes -- with stark and brooding artwork to match -- that should hold plenty of appeal for droning dark ambient enthusiasts. V/A -- "Main Control Board" -- CD -- €10
2010 Lagunamuch Community, LMC1002
Alexander Matrosov, a part of Alexandroid, Gods Delusion, Flexkiks, Autopilots, Speyer projects came up with an idea to make such a compilation. He was going to make the second sound trip, a kind of sequel to the Deep Sea Shipping compilation. The sound was more of an industrial and radical type. This time the theme of the compilation is not a sea, but the black space with its microgravity, adventures and unpredictability. We decided to use new approaches, new technologies and invite musicians that we know. We were not rushing with this release, making the things more difficult for ourselves and testing the compilation by time. Once it is ready we are really happy with the final result... Main Control Board compilation is not mixed. All tracks are specially chosen to complete each other. Listening to the cd it feels like one album is playing. What is it, Main Control Board?.. We dig Main Control Board is a control board of our galactic, matrix or program, whatever you call the reality. You can draw parallels between what is happening on our planet and on the cd. There are no coincidences... It took us two years to finish this monolithic release. The result was worth the effort. Unfortunately during these two years many unexpected things have happened. One year ago, an excellent musician and creator of this project, Alexander Matrosov passed away. One year later we are dedicating this compilation to him. It is exactly the way he wanted to see and hear it. [press-release] Participants: Indu Mezu vs Flagra, Speyer, Riverz End, Abstract Avenue, Autopilots, Nightech, L.F., Abstract Avenue, Egofriend, Alexandroid.

Cape Fear -- "Winds of the Dead Air" -- LP -- €10
2010 Sound On Probation, SOP 015, (ltd. 300)
In 1997, Laurent Perrier puts an end to the Nox experience, one of the major bands of the French industrial rock scene, to launch a new solo project, CapeFear, with which he delivers a first album (Drift towards the heat) combining breakbeat, sampling and metal guitars. Twelve years later, CapeFear is back with a second album, Winds of the dead air. Five long titles, dark and strangely hypnotic, where guitars and metal riffs literally crash on a groovy bass/drum rythmic line. The sequencers and the unique sound of the Moog synthesizer give to this record some kind of a ambient 70's flavor while the quality and intensity of the compositions will remind the listener of Chrome, King Crimson, Neurosis and This Heat. [press-release]

Heal -- "Supernatural" -- LP -- €10
2009 Sound On Probation, SOP 011, (ltd. 300)
For Heal’s new album, Supernatural, Laurent Perrier has cut, sampled and rearranged the work of 11 talented guest musicians in a collage of instruments, synthetic abstractions and nervous compositions. Playing the mad scientist, Heal makes Supernatural’s side A a total hybrid, full of references, where Amon Tobin jazzy tunes meet the Pink Panther and classic American comics, where massive exotica echoes post war film noir… Somewhere in between synth pop and ambient dub, side B is more electronic, contemplative, and continues the exploration of harmony that, since “Starting back”, has become project Heal’s trademark. [press-release]

Zonk't -- "Beat Wins You And Me" -- LP -- €10
2009 Sound On Probation, SOP 012, (ltd. 300)
Wrapped around a powerful industrial music core, Zonk’t’s latest album, “Beat wins you and me”, develops itself on a base of heavy rhythmic figures and dark, groovy hip-hop where abound sound textures and electronic frequencies inspired by Techno Animal, Alec Empire and Pan Sonic (“War”, “Pore”). Other tracks present mechanical accents (“Clutter”, close to Esplendor Geometrico), epileptic techno beats (“Phlegmon”, sort of –extremely efficient- Pandora’s sound box) and even a Wagnerian flavour with “Glaire”, its symphonic loop, both tribal and aggressive, emerging from a noisy, analogical sound mass. If “Beat Wins you and me” may be viewed as the most intense and extreme record “Zonk’t” has ever delivered, it is no less a work full of nuance, subtlety and like constantly reinventing itself. [press-release]

Green Army Fraction -- "The Greater & The Lesser Holy War" -- C-35 -- €8
2009 Erratic Sporadicism Tapes, EST.007, (ltd. 199)
Green Army Fraction continues its one-man-strife against the decayed values of the present day society. A-side includes only the title track - seventeen and a half minutes "epic" journey of harsh droning electronics landscapes, junk metal abuse, feedback and constant vocal action spitting disgust towards the modern world. B-side has three shorter tracks connected to the same topic. One pulsating instrumental piece, one in a more industrial vein and one with with almost melodic use of feedback. We'd say together with Caste War full-length, clearly his best work up to date!.. High bias chrome cassette packaged in a green silk screened canvas bag. Comes with four pro-printed fold-out inserts. A total of 16 pages including all the lyrics, rich graphics and illustrations and a selection of well chosen quotes from various philosophers and thinkers. Hand numbered and limited to 199 copies. Keranen -- "Green Car Crash" -- C-30 -- €6
2009 Erratic Sporadicism Tapes, EST.012
Finally new solo material from Finland's harsh noise wizard Tommi Keränen! After burying Rulla a few years back, he is known from his several supreme live shows, which truly compare with the legends of the genre in quality. The debut release under "Keränen" moniker shows the same intensity trasferred on a record... Two highly energetic tracks with rich details and multiple layers, creating a slowly evolving dense wall of sound. Side A is more organic with vibrating feedback and manipulated loops, while Side B has more electric approach. A finely crafted piece of harsh noise! HAIL ANALOG!.. High quality chrome tapes packaged in heavy duty card board box with four large inserts. [press-release]

Liver Mortis -- "Cut-Rate" -- C-40 -- €6
2009 Erratic Sporadicism Tapes, EST.009, (ltd. 155)
Liver Mortis (and the related label TF/PE) is one of the few newer American artists that has this truly twisted, perverted and violent aura radiating around them. Since the already great startup of the project in 2006 it has shown constant improvement. “Cut-rate” is again a step forward. Only two long tracks, but skillfully built up from short chapters in cut-up style. So there is actually a huge amount of material and sounds sinked into the tracks and composed to float forward. Low-end rumble, crackling synth, nasty feedback, dirty junk abuse, occasional buried vocals etc... High bias chrome tape with pro-printed covers. Also comes with 2-sided cardboard art insert. All this is sealed with special wrap covers and metal band. Handnumbered and limited to 155 copies. [press-release]

Veprisuicida -- "s/t" -- MC -- €6
1996 Ultra, U05, (ltd. 50)
First album of Veprisuicida. A historical recording. "Constructive-destructive noise project of Ariana Vagina and Alexander Lebedev-Frontov. Hysterical sound. A good instrument for will training." [press-release of Ultra, 1996]. "1996, post-USSR: wild outburst of gangsterism, narcomania and homosexuality. Everything is in agony. Petersburg has just experienced psychedelic revolution. Life is hopeless and full of darkness. That was the time when this work was created. The album was highly appreciated by the late S. Kuryokhin who planned to present it in June 1996 in his radio-show "Russian Cannibal" and then to re-release on CD. Unfortunately, because of the passage of maestro into another world, it was released only on compact cassette bu Ultra label in 1996, with the edition of 50, and later re-edition of 100." [press-release for CDR reissue by Dubinogolovaya Korobochka] This is the first edition: cassette + postcard + decorative record.

Aeoga -- "Zenith Beyond The Helix-Locus" -- CD -- €10
2005 Aural Hypnox, [AH05], (ltd. 1000)
From beyond the mundane symbolscape, the 2nd album of Aeoga - entitled 'Zenith Beyond the Helix-Locus' - emits aural phenomena from devouring multi-layered elemental ambience to amorphous and hallucinatory sequences entrancing one's awareness thoroughly. The fifteen formations manifest themselves in various forms; bright and luminous helixes intertwine with shadowed and shapeless non-beings. All in all truly overwhelming material where acoustic instruments and electronic equipment mingle themselves to channel forth the aural elemental current. [press-release]

Amon -- "Foundation" -- 2 CD -- €13
2005 Afe Records / Eibon Records, afe070cd / Amn053
"Foundation" is an Eibon Records / Afe co-production that comes in the form of two full-lenght CDs packaged in a beautifully designed heavy cardboard sleeve. It features most of the tracks originally contained on the first untitled Amon album which was out on Murder Release in 1996, the whole "Mer" limited edition CD-R released by Blade Records in 2000, and a few unreleased/rare bonus tracks. Popular demand for a "Mer" second edition has always been high, and five years later from its original release it's time to make it available to the public again along with an improved version of the untitled Amon debut CD. All the tracks on "Foundation" were performed and recorded by Andrea Marutti between September 1995 and April 2000 at Lips Vago Digital Studio and were fully remastered and post-produced on purpose of this release. "Foundation", the title track, was sourced from a Memory Moog improvisation played by Riccardo Marmugi. "Prepare to Leave" was originally released by Eibon Records on the "Dissolution Fahrenheit" CD compilation back in 1997. [Afe press-release]

Amon / Nimh -- "Sator" -- CD -- €12
2007 Eibon Records, Amn069
AMON (Andrea Marutti), the most important and estabilished italian Dark-Ambient project, and NIMH (Giuseppe Verticchio), a well-known and eclectic alchemist of electronic-ethnic–acoustic-ambient sound mixtures, worked side by side for some weeks to create their first collaborative effort. SATOR is a granitic and majestic work, a musical journey through time and history that throws the listeners into the most remote abysses of Earth. Massive magmatic sounds mixed with the technologic and synthetic vibrations of oscillating sinewaves & with frosty isolationist timbres programmed through fluxes of information written in binary code… In digisleeve. Arktau Eos -- "Mirrorion" -- CD -- €10
2006 Aural Hypnox, [AH06], (ltd. 1000)
Presented in seventeen chapters that can be approached as singular gateways or a slowly unfolding journey of epic proportions, the debut album of ARKTAU EOS is a challenging, complex work. Born of intense private musico-magical sessions held in places abandoned by man and further refined in the temple-laboratory of the duo, it is the distillation of seven arduous months of work. As the title suggests, 'Mirrorion' is the music of stellar light thrown down from the Heaven's zenith and its eldritch reflections in the depths below, uniting atavistic elemental noise with serene passages of crystalline, spectral ambience. Ultimately, 'Mirrorion' seeks to surpass such earthly definitions in favour of a non-dual vision of reality, hopefully transforming the listener in the process. For this recording ARKTAU EOS have favoured an organic approach with majority of instrumentation being of acoustic variety, including the unearthly choral of the kanglings, piercings blasts of windbones, accelerating steel-plate rolls, singing bowl and various kinds of stringed instruments. Aural Holograms -- "Vol. 1" -- CD -- €10
2007 Aural Hypnox, [AH08], (ltd. 1000)
The very first part of the Aural Holograms series incorporates various call and response patterns manifesting vibrating, subtle energies, all of which have been accurately divided into separate rhythmic dimensions and time-shifting aural tapestries. The overall experience - i.e. the ecstatic effect - is transmitted by the intensity of syncopated rhythms, reed organ lingering on a few tones, self-transforming vocal work accompanied with carefully chosen oscillating tunes and a variety of percussive patterns utilising artefacts crafted according to the methods of traditional metallurgia, as well as real-time tape operations. Comes in six-panel hand finished cardboard booklet, in an edition of 1.000 copies. [label info]

Bad Sector -- "Kosmodrom" -- CD -- €19
2005 Waystyx Records, WR15, (ltd. 795)
"Kosmodrom" is dedicated to famous Russian scientist Konstantin Tsiolkovsky and Soviet space investigations. Music strongly differs from previous recordings of Massimo Magrini: multi-layered tonal and noise stratifications are gone to non-existence, there's no dense and energetic sound any more. Instead of this the album comprises rarefied (still it is space!) sonic field made of smooth ambient substrate with angular constructions built over it from sharp noise pieces, samples of Russian space talks, infrequent melodic lines and abrupt beats, rather pulsating than creating straight rhythm. Soviet synthesizers "Aelita" and "ANS" were also used while recording of the album. The released is packed in special plastic case and supplied with 18-page booklet containing lots of useful information about the evolution of space researches and cosmodromes in Russia and USSR.

Bad Sector -- "Kosmodrom + Extra Tracks" -- 2 CD -- €30
2006 Waystyx, WR16, (ltd. 185)
Double CD set, first CD contains "Kosmodrom" album, 2nd - 4 bonus-tracks developing the main theme.

Baker, Aidan -- "The Sea Swells a Bit..." -- CD -- €11
2006 A Silent Place, ASP006
The sound of this new Aidan Baker's album is comparable to the best (obscure) psychedelic post-rock releases including great droning, hypnotic and honeiric atmospheres. Spontaneously composed by Aidan, who plays guitar (electric & acoustic), bass, tapeloops, drum machine and percussion in his droning 'fashion soup'. The result is the three long and beautiful tracks that constructs this album. His guitar treatments and amazing looping work get more and more marvellous, as the droning increasing percussions take the listener to a peaceful state of mind. The sound rises all around as the stream floods to the seaside, giving refuge to emotions through numbing clouds of murmuring electric voices. Aidan's performances high standards and his instantly recognizable style are here well confirmed, adding to the excellent level of his discography! [label info]

Bardoseneticcube -- "Blood of Green Colour" -- CD-R -- €11
2005 Blade Records, wmda065, (ltd. 150)
Every day in early morning lots of people get up from their grey bed-sheets and move in overcrowded transport in their workshops, in grey morning mist, stirring autumn mud under their feet... Every day, month by month, year by year... Noone of them knows why he does it but feels truly religious ecstasy and drug-addiction to this. And their blood becomes of green colour, and they stop being people... [author's description]

Bardoseneticcube -- "Toyz-z-z" -- CD-R -- €8
2006 Black Arts Productions, Black Arts 11
New mini-album of St. Petersburg based project on an undergrounf Finnish label. Evident childish themes with mental corrosion: under a cover with fragments of dolls' remains you'll find 5 dynamic tracks assembled from disfigured childish voices, cartoon tunes, nice poppy rhythms and puzzling frequency and noise splashes. Alice in Wonderland has eaten too much Caterpillar's mushrooms.

Cisfinitum -- "V" -- CD -- €10
2003 Waystyx Records, WR 05, (ltd. 696)
"V" is the aural extension of audiochemy method developed by both Cisfinitum members (Voronovsky and Norvila) in Audioform Studio during recent two years, using synthesis of classical composition, industrial aesthetics and tonal noise layers. Listening to Cisfinitum music, everyone can feel physically the exclusive aloofness and impartiality preceding the heterogeneity and time collaps. Long transitions between initial states, sudden dynamic outbursts and again desolate spaces where apprehensions are the only way to think. This album is notable not only by background contents but by sounding too: the deliberately reduced quality is remained in the past, agressive alienation changed to the introspective one. The atmosphere of sci-fi cinema of the 70-80s is back - cold, dark, mysterious but nevertheless open-minded and reality engaged. For those of you who like to use CD-ROM for anything labelled with "compact disc" logo, the nice surprise is waiting. [label info]

Cold Fusion -- "Report" -- CD -- €10
2005/2007 Rage In Eden, RAGE 56

Cold Fusion -- "Simmetria" -- CD -- €10
2007 War Office Propaganda / Rage In Eden, WOP37
Symmetry perceived as some kind of balance and harmony. Symmetry between surrounding world and its "mirror reflection", which sticks in our minds. Symmetry of left and right side, day and night, birth and death. Symmetry of buildings, objects, bodies. biquitous symmetry. Brand new album of Cold Fusion reflets ist theme - dynamic, marching atmosphere from one side, melancholy and reverie from another. Illusory lack of symmetry or rather its confirmation? 11 tracks, 44.30 minutes comes in nice digipack designed by Michal Karcz. [press-release]

Contagious Orgasm -- "Spill Drop" -- CD -- €13
2003 Waystyx Records, WR09, (ltd. 410)
New step on the way of Hiroshi Hashimoto creative evolution, one of the most controversive Japanese musician, presenting dense stream of sound, explosing by traditional for Contagious Orgasm flashes of sexual obsession, ritualism and culture permeate. Mature and complicated work. It's a mirror, in which crystall depths everyone of us will see his real matter - purest drop of human prejudices, fears and drawbacks essence. On one hand you can find microglitches, clicks, subtle melodies and controlled rhythmic clicks'n'cuts. And on the other hand more experimental sounds: from rough field recordings, noisy frequencies and distorted voices to sinewaves and continuous glitches. As always on Waystyx Records, exclusive design, consisting of transparent heavy polyethelen and strip of technical ribbon with red landmark. [press-release]

Drahomira Song Orchestra -- "The Return Of 120 Magicians" -- CD -- €13
2005 Waystyx, WR19, (ltd. 100)
DSO is the musical offshot of mysterious Institut Drahomira, known for its cinematographic, literary, political and criminal activity, which nevertheless comes beyond our interest. This ensemble was formed in the mid 80's, but the name wasn't mentioned anywhere until the end 90's, when some works was published by labels like Vacuum and Flesh Eating Ants Records. The overall number of albums recorded since then, is near thirty! But most of them are still unreleased and waiting for the lucky moment to see the daylight, as the official website says. They are looking for interested labels, offering their material for a prominent release. One of the first voices around, that was Moscow based label Waystyx, recently interested in analogue soundings and old-school recording techniques quite common for the 80's/90's underground scene. "The Return of 120 Magicians" is an unique, really peculiar album, which can't be compared with anything else. It could be described as mysterious combination of collage recording technique and analogue electronica, the boiling mix of avantgarde, surrealism, nostalgia and grim humour. Musicwise, the structure of tracks is dispersed between several patterns and fragments, repeated sounds that are varied in details, they are swirling around and above you, creating hypnotizing and haunting atmosphere which will overwhelm you since the very beginning. Retro aesthetics, electronic permutations of analogue sources, reviving samples and percussive stringed sounds - all these components are doing the excellent job together, so we must say this one is one of the best albums of the year. [Dmitry Vasilyev, "Independent Electronic Music"]

Exotoendo -- "Push Kara" -- CD -- €12
Athanor, ATNR 008
Exotoendo "Push Kara" has impressed all our distributors and customers for its ritual sound qualities somewhere between Lustmord and the Bonpos ritual. Once again, a must have for the dark ambiant/ritual lovers. This is also the second CD of this french project after one on Old Europa Cafe. One hour of ambiant ritual music recorded in an old industrial vat, which has been since destroyed. Push Kara is inspired by the Tibetan Book of the Dead, however the music is not only an interpretation of the Bardo-Thodol but is also the reflection of a reality: the essence expressed in the Bardo. Push Kara express the 6 states between life/death/rebirth, as explained in the booklet. Abundant and pure sound (which reflects the atmosphere of the strange place where it was recorded) with a few voices, percussions, pipes, violin and singing bowls. [label info]

Halo Manash -- "Am Kha Astrie" -- CD -- €10
2008 Aural Hypnox, [AH10], (ltd. 1000)
As the apex of Spring heralds awakenings, Halo Manash emerges from Winter and hibernation ~ Treefaced. Horns spiral skyward and antlers ascend. A tripartite trunk arises – a pillar that splits all worlds... Am Kha Astrie, a work of heliotropic, elemental ambient, is an opening, an awakening, a summoning, a crossing of thresholds. After their previous oneiric and minimal album, Am Kha Astrie sees Halo Manash re-integrate a more diverse instrumentation and a multiplicity of soundsources to create their work, which consists of seven interrelated tracks. Am Kha Astrie is a complete work in itself, but can also be viewed as the second facet of a tripartite series of works that are part of one holistic creation... Archaic elemental drums, bones and spiraling animal horns merge with various metal percussions, chimes, wind-instruments, voices and a multitude of other instruments to create a deep, earthly and yet celestially-bound opus. Am Kha Astrie is a massive and sometimes ominous work, a primal experience of coming-into-being, with all the terror, ecstasy and divine awe that it implies... Comes in a hand finished cardboard booklet, in an edition of 1000 copies. [press-release]

Halo Manash -- "Language of Red Goats" -- CD -- €10
2008 Aural Hypnox, [AH09], (ltd. 920)
Guided by nether nectars and dream herbs, oneiric visions and the light of lunar tides, Halo Manash Language of Red Goats aims to be a cartography of cavernous elemental realms and regions, sources and springs that run deep and thick with the fluids of life, death and dream. What was seeded at the Thin Veils has been gathered at Harvest time, and is offered to the seeker as a libation and guide into the ever-liminal, shrouded spaces, for dream-vigils and awakenings. Language of Red Goats is a complete work in itself, but can also be viewed as the first facet of a tripartite series of works that are part of one holistic creation – three faces of the same being. More akin to a primitive fieldrecording in the realm of oneirotropic exploration, than an actual album, the work consists of one lengthy tripartite soundscape. Utilizing only gongs, bells, metal bowls and wind instruments, as well as flocks of birds, the work is in contrast to earlier more refined works that feature a wide multiplicity of instruments and soundsources. Language of Red Goats is a bare, primitive and sometimes raw aural landscape, and yet nonetheless achieves a rare subliminal intensity and an edge of otherwordly luminosity. Comes in a hand finished cardboard booklet, in an edition of 920 copies. [press-release]

The Human Voice -- "Exit Lines" -- CD -- €12
2008 Eibon Records, Voi077
Dark ambient/post rock. NORTHAUNT mastermind Harleif Langas gives voice to a less dark and oppressive journey with "Exit lines", and explores the thin boundary between ambient (not necessarily dark....) music and spacious post-rock. Deep drones and sparse melodic guitar lines, "skeletal" structures and subtle noises. Appealing to both the Constellation-freaks and the courageous (and open minded) dark ambient travellers. Digisleeve. [press-release]

Jarl -- "Akatisi / Somnolens" -- CD -- €10
2005 Tantric Harmonies, TANTRA X21, (ltd. 499)
Solo release of Erik Jarl - one half of Swedish power-electronic duet IRM. Static sound fields and repetative patterns somewhere between dark ambient and noise, smooth pleasant timbres, calm atmosphere. Mastered by Peter Andersson.

Kaaos in Eccentris / Liddikoatight & Leif Elggren -- "No-One Takes One Too Free / Trapezoid" -- 7" -- €6
2004 Some Place Else, SPE7SP04031
Kaaos in Eccentris - on this session Mockingwyrd, Ovro, Niko Skorpio and Ibrahim Terzic - create an oddly trance-inducing, almost groovy piece that limps forward powered by the combination of hypnotic bass and crackling rhythms. Liddikoatight is a new Japanese band with Kouhei Matsunaga among others. Leif Elggren, from Sweden, has worked with sound and performance art since 1980 and has a long list of releases, books and live-performances under his belt. For this record, Liddikoatight and Leif Elggren collaborated via telepathy. Mix of the results form the track Trapezoid. [label info]

Kriminaaliset Metsänhaltijat -- "s/t" -- CD-R -- €13
2008 Triangle, TR-36, (ltd. 16)
One more forgotten work of this project, a collection of live recordings. Radical. Utterly unpleasant noise flow, rattle and metal clank. [label info]

Lopez, Francisco & Roden, Steve -- "Le Chemin du Paradis" -- CD -- €10
2002 Fario, Fario cd05
Split/collaboration of two electroacoustic musicians working with processing of field recordings into music. Collaboration track opens the CD with unsteady contours and distant sounds. Then comes solo composition of Steve Roden - slowly unfolding spiral of melodic drone. Sleeve notes say: "headphones recommended". Besides this it can be also recommended to listen this album on high volume and good apparatus otherwise you have a chance to miss Francisco López' track recorded with extremely low signal level.

Luminous -- "Links" -- CD -- €10
2008 Tara Records, TARA 004
Time for some sub-aquatic bubbling abstract electronics and dark ambient sound worlds from Links. 'Luminous' Two 30 minute tracks take you on a sonic journey and really give you the sense that your lost in a different space and time, like floating around in some liquid metal dreamscape. With the sound of drones creating a feeling of amnesia. Very absorbing stuff. I'd like to listen to this whilst locked in a cupboard and become a total void. Housed in a red clamshell case on Tara Records. [Norman Records]

Merzbow -- "Scene / Early Computer Works" -- 2 CD -- €33
2005 Waystyx, WR12, (ltd. 100)
Another recording made by prolific noise monster Masami Akita, which was released in two editions. The first one is single album "Scene", which is quite mundane and nothing new to someone who isn't into Merzbow work too much. I'd say that the only distinctive feature is the cover with heavily cliched Fujiyama look. This one is limited to 500 copies. The second variant has more goals to mention, it's housed in very impressively designed plastic box together with poster and bonus-CD entitled "Early Computer Works". It's quite controversial and special hearing, in comparison with previous albums, it makes a great difference. At this point, I can remember some "loud" releases by Domizil like RM74 "Instabil" and some recent RLW works. This album sounds not so expressive and chaotic as usually, it makes me think about a huge metallic carcass closed in small space. It crawls and shakes, trying to find the way out, raising the pressure and exertion, but without much success. Well, thank to this bonus-CD the boxset is worth to have, but quite hard to find because the edition size is only 100 copies. [Dmitry Vasilyev, "Independent Electronic Music"]

Metaorganism -- "I:Baphomet" -- CD-R -- €6
2008 Some Place Else, SPECDR08048
Metaorganism was conceived — or discovered — in Kuuskulma studio while conducting various experiments with sinewaves, oscillators and feedback. Metaorganism is based on — or communicates through — a network of digital and analog devices transmitting information to each other, back and forth. In the system, a minor change in a supposedly insignificant parameter may unexpectedly change the overall course of the sound. Everything affects everything — as above, so below... At some point of its development, the system will reach a state of balance where it seems to become self-reliant — independent, evolving — and in a sense a communicating entity which becomes conscious of itself. The Manifestation occurs, through sound. A series of recording sessions were held, with the attempt to experiment with the system to serve certain 'hermetic' purposes, to influence the nature of Manifestation, ie. what exactly is invoked in/through the sound. I:Baphomet is the first in what is being planned as a series of Metaorganism audio documents. [press-release]

Matt varnished digipack, as usualy beautifully designed by Michal Karcz. [press-release]

Muslimgauze vs. Species Of Fishes -- "s/t" -- CD -- €10
2007 Tourette 003
Bryn [Jones] took 2 different albums of Species of Fishes to create this album. Because this is a remix, we get some different sounds than usual for a Muslimgauze release, which is nice! There are still occasional Arabic voices, and overall this release has a pleasant sound to it overall, not as 'challenging' as some Muslimgauze can be, but there are still spots that make you take hold, like, wow, what an ear piercing first song! This looped whistle gets into your head and makes the world a different place. Dubby sounds on track 2 with the trademark dropouts of Muslimgauze. There are other tracks with sharp sounds, but they aren't distorted like on some other releases - just the sharp without the static. This is a cool release for Muslimgauze. Some are take it or leave it, but this one is worth hearing. [EAR/Rational] Previously released in 1999 on Species Of Fishes (FCD 01). The original tracks from Species Of Fishes albums "Songs Of A Dumb World" and "Trip Trap" were used for this remix project. All remixes, summer/autumn 1998.

N|B|K -- "Miasma of Civilisation" -- CD-R -- €7
2006 Sickcore, SC 006, (ltd. 50)
Radioactive catacomb noise and ambient compositions with overhuman track titles like "Thistle", "Godworm" and "Woodland Belt". Misanthropical sick sound. Really interesting work. O Paradis -- "Pequenas Canciones De Amor" -- CD -- €11
2008 Tourette, tourette 005
Sixth full-length release from our favourite Catalonian troubadour, with a somewhat more light-hearted and poppy spirit than their previous CD. 17 tracks of the stripped-down, lugubrious Latin pop which is the trademark sound of the band Pure Mediterranean sunshine. Also features a cover of Bob Dylan's "It Ain't Me, Babe". File next to Spiritual Front, Division S, Mushroom's Patience etc. Digipak. [Cold Spring]

Objekt4 vs. Kenji Siratori -- "Mind Corpse" -- 3"CD-R -- €5
2007 Mask of the Slave Records, MS-013, (ltd. 100)
A great collaboration 3" between the Stockholm based Objekt4 & the Japanese cyberpunk writer Kenji Siratori. Objekt4 returned to Mask of the Slave Records with this great stuff, after several releases with other labels in the industrial/experimental scene. Kenji Siratori: a Japanese cyberpunk writer who is currently bombarding the internet with wave upon wave of highly experimental, uncompromising, progressive, intense prose. His is a writing style that not only breaks with tradition, it severs all cords, and can only really be compared to the kind of experimental writing techniques employed by the Surrealists, William Burroughs and Antonin Artaud. Embracing the image mayhem of the digital age, his relentless prose is nonsensical and extreme, avant-garde and confused, with precedence given to twisted imagery, pace and experimentation over linear narrative and character development. With unparalleled stylistic terrorism, he unleashes his literary attack. An unprovoked assault on the senses. Blood Electric (Creation Books) was acclaimed by David Bowie. [press-release]

Oophoi -- "Hymns to a Silent Sky" -- CD -- €11
2005 Nextera, ERA 2038-2
An album of epic, deep, evocative space music that stretches out in front of you in its own infinite universe of sounds. The music is deeply connected with the mysteries of the sky: clouds moving slowly, delicate and dramatic colors merging together beyond the horizon line, winds carrying voices and sounds from distant times. A remarkable work full of poetry. [label info]

Oöphoi & Tau Ceti -- "Subterranea" -- CD -- €11
2003 Nextera, ERA 2029-2
After their acclaimed debut CD release "Celestial geometries" released in 2001 on Amplexus, considered as one of the best space albums ever, italian sound sculptors Oцphoi and Tau Ceti are back with the long awaited second CD "Subterranea", inspired by a book about the myth of Agharti, the hidden realm located in central Asia. Vast sonic explorations with synths, flutes, stones and shells, ranging from subtle and mysterious atmospheres to highly dynamic passages, describe this out of reach underworld. The last part of the long suite "The chamber of eternity" features the unique sound of the tibetan singing bowls of Klaus Wiese. After the outer space adventures of their first CD, "Subterranea" deals with the inner space. [press-release]

The Oratory of Divine Love -- "Purgatorio" -- CD -- €11
2006 Waystyx, WR29, (ltd. 225)
The name of The Oratory of Divine Love isn't probably widely known, but researches of experimental music of course know the man behind it - John D. Gore - by his underground label Cohort Records (which released among other interesting artists discs of Bad Sector and Troum) and main project 'kirchenkampf'. By this time The Oratory of Divine Love has only released one CD-R on Belgian label EE Tapes and here with the effort of Russian label Waystyx the second full-length was born. The project's concept reflects John's interest in Christianity and radionoise, all compositions are being recorded always live using only radio passed through effect-chains as the sound source. This CD presents one long track with deeply reverberated surreal atmosphere, sucking your attention and immersing in real trance. Within these reverberations sonic events constantly flow and change like a picture of a dream, processed to full unrecognizability fragments of ether neighbour with low frequency radio drones, smooth waves synchronize with brain activity and slow down rational perceprion towards irrational. It's worth to mention very stylish artwork done by Waystyx - double sleeve made of black-oil-sodden paper (what a smell!), golden serigraphy and embossed album title on the cover.

Ovro -- "Revisited" -- CD -- €10
2008 Some Place Else, SPECD08047, (ltd. 1000)
The wondergirl of Finnish dark ambient soundscapes is back with a new album. Revisited is based on field recordings made during Ovro’s tour in Russia in 2006, subsequently processed and treated in the studio. Revisited is a powerful aural travelogue. It will lull the listener to a state of receptive trance, and then starts working on the subconscious mind. Let yourself go, lose yourself in the sound, expect lucid dreams, out-of-body experiences, alien apparitions and a shower of sound massaging your body throughout. CD is packed in beautiful 4-panel digisleeve. Edition of 1000 copies. Revisited is loosely related to Estraier, a 2006 EP of which only a handful of copies were given out. Compared to Estraier, Revisited is extended, mutated and more elaborate throughout. While the beginning is similar, the paths taken turn out somewhat different and thus the outcome is all new. 2004 Some Place Else, SPE7SP03028, (ltd. 300)
Reptiljan is Niko Skorpio in his most energetic to date, creating sparkling electronica wherein everything from noise to breaks and glitch to exreme metal meet and explode. On this 7", Pangrenade looks for the point where grindcore and noise become one through violent digital treatments. On the other side, Ibrahim Terzic examines the beauty within the ugly. Yuck Brij shows Terzic pushing his unique style a few steps further with mind-piercing screeches, manifold rhythms and mutating melodies. Those who witnessed his amazing gig at Avanto Festival, Finland know that this cannot be missed! [label info]

Sadkarma -- "Solis E.P." -- CD-R -- €6
2005 Onyxia, onyx004
SadKarma is the phenomenon of the experience of pleasure, through the perception of balance and proportion of stimulus. It involves the cognition of a balanced form and structure that elicits attraction and appeal towards a person or an inanimate object. SadKarma is the bedlam of organic ambience with decoration & fluctuation in its purest form. The frames of the music bear fragments from certain eras of artists like Swans and Coil but the painting itself has drifting textures far more beautiful. [press-release]

Well thought-out compositions in death industrial vein, eerie samples and dismal atmosphere. When recording this album musicians used such instruments as cleaver, mallet, knives, grinder and hand saw. The release is packed in exclusive black paper case with red bond and booklet.

Skorpio, Niko -- "Half Born in Half Light" -- CD -- €10
2008 Some Place Else, SPECD08049, (ltd. 1000)
Half Born in Half Light is based on the foundations of psychedelic ambient soundscapes and darkly majestic bass drone, over which tribal rhythms and magickal vocal invocations build grotesque alien monoliths whose angles mock the euclidean mathematics of conventional composition. Niko Skorpio is not restricted to one particular genre, but draws on many sources. This makes the music colourful and diverse, yet it remains coherent and has the artist’s unique fingerprints all over (this time literally in the cover as well). If we are to give it a label, let’s call it HERMETIC FUSION MUSICK. CD comes with gorgeously designed 12-panel leaflet with art, photos, liner notes etc. Edition of 1000 copies. [press-release]

Skorpio, Niko -- "Psilocybe Necrophila" -- CD -- €10
2009 Some Place Else, SPECD09052, (ltd. 418)
Niko Skorpio's new album is called Psilocybe Necrophila, referring to a psychoactive mushroom that grows on decomposing flesh. Although recorded mostly in 2007, parallel to last year's acclaimed Half Born in Half Light, it is quite a different trip. The basis of this work was Niko Skorpio's old cassette tape collection from the 1980's. Containing mostly heavy metal demos and live bootlegs, the dozens of kilometres of obsolete tape were sacrificed on the altar of creation. Does consciousness survive decomposition? Magnetic tape — as a symbol of DNA — was deconstructed, cut, mangled, eaten and torn apart by a number of malfunctioning cassette players. These emerging mutations were captured, processed and reconstructed, over and over until a new form began to take shape. Carefully chosen and prepared additional ingredients were then introduced to this primal tissue in order to impregnate it with a new kind of energy. Metaphorically speaking, soul was injected into the golem. As is common with Niko Skorpio's works, the album works thematically on many levels. On the immediate surface it reflects a surreal journey to the deepest chasms of inner space, where — quite unexpectedly — one may find herself in wholly unfamiliar surroundings. And what's more, one may not find herself alone anymore, but instead, communicating with something unknown. And it always gets the darkest just before dawn. But whatever happens, eventually the dawn comes. In the end we return to where it all began, but affected, observing that things will never be the same again. Some call Psilocybe Necrophila a "death album". Skorpio agrees and adds: "It can be perceived as symbolising the process of death and reincarnation. Besides, it is likely to remain the last 'conventional' album from me in the foreseeable future, so calling it a 'death album' has certain appeal." [press-release]

T.A.C. -- "Waiting for the Twilight" -- CD -- €14
2002 Small Voices, SVR02001
This is the first issue of Small Voices. We are very proud to present the return of T.A.C. after five years from their last release "Apotropaismo". After a long time of hibernating sleep, this unforgetted experienced italian band is back in a magnificent body-form, with a new upsetting sonic paradox... T.A.C. has created a virtual drome where never heard acoustic waves collapse into boundless technoid cages, wrapping dehumanized scared voices from the atavistic twilight of dying future! The shining (master)mind of the S.B. restrained this symptons in form of luminouses distant experiences in an alien urban dimension. A tribernetic shaman will transfer you in a world of visions, combining sicked chants with electronical sounds, destructured (un)human female voices with unbelieveble acoustics soundscapes... Image a sort of cross between Coil, Matmos, a sort of post-modern obscure evolution of trip-hop and future hyper electronics music...! A swirling interplay that aims at sweeping away old musical categories, anyhow doomed to strain and break under their own burden. They pursue a declared commitment: to explore the depths of the human nature and to stimulate the listeners' imagination. [press-release]

Theodor Bastard -- "Pustota" -- CD -- €8
2004/2006 Fulldozer Records, FD 21 CD
Updated 2006 version of "Pustota" with several bonus tracks and new artwork - 6page digipack. The album "Pustota" incorporated rythms of trip-hop, mysticism of gothic music and melodies of the Orient. It's the result of more than two years' work over arrangements and sound of the compositions. Despite the fact it's the six work in the band's discography, it's also the first one to be recorded by the live concert line-up. It sets a new system of coordinates for the band. "Pustota" is far from being an "easy listening". Being experimental in the full sense of this word, the album doesn't shock the listener with sound terror. It reveals new unknown sides of modern music to him. The base of the band's sound may be called the voice of its vocalist - Yana Veva. Post-rock in the space of "Pustota" is literally clashed face to face with Near Eastern melodies and sad songs in five languages. The musicians invited their friends for the work over this album, those that seemed congenial to them - Alexander Parshkov (GRAND VINIOLLES), Boris Bardash (OLE LUKKOYE), Nikolai Nebogatov (SPIES BOYS), Anjela Manukian (VOLGA), Mila Fedorova (KLEVER). Vazhes -- "Seid" -- CD -- €10
2009 Vegvisir music, o:007
Ritual noise / Folk. Many centuries ago noiades, the shamans of ancient Sami, have put seids (seita) on their current places. The centuries have gone, Sami went to the North under pressure of other peoples, wars passed by one by one, but seids still stand on their places. The true harmony never disappears. One can try to forget or destroy it, but nothing can replace it - there are only poor and paltry attempts of replacement to something different which has nothing in common with the natural way of living. Saids can be destroyed, everything connected with the traditional culture can be destroyed, we can forget and refuse everything thinking that it should be this way. But by doing so, a man undoubtedly opposes himself to Nature, instead of being an integral and harmonic part of it as it is in the traditional culture. By breaking the connections with Nature, according to the same law of natural harmony, a man will disappear himself... "Seid" is the debut album of Vazhes, a project by ethnographer Sergey Gabbasov. The album consists of 4 tracks, two of them "Seid" and "Krishna" are recorded by Vazhes, one is a collaboration between Vazhes and Fanum, and another one is created by Vazhes and Akpan. The album is dedicated to the struggle between chaotic and destructive world of contemporary people and eternal natural harmonic principles, embodied in traditional cultures... The beginning - existence and sound of the North - vibrations of stones, Northern lights, spirits of anchestors and crunch of ice. Silence frozen over the icy rocky spaces. Here and there seids, ancient like the North itsels, stand towards the sky. White stillness. Then, suddenly, Hindu kirtan and aggressive heat of radical religious fundamentalists. Struggle to death and Exodus. From ice and tundra to desert and top of the world. Roaring wind among the blinding white peaks promising oblivion. And drying wind taking away the last water and life. And finally, the raging summer storm over the forest swamps of the Ural and Kama river... Thunder and lightnings in the sky, the eternal forest and purifying water streams which feed the rivers and give birth to life... A way from North to South and back to North... Away from the dirt and thoughtless insanity of the modern world! [press-release]

Watermann, John -- "To Be Taken Seriously It Has To Be Long" -- 3"CD -- €20
2006 Waystyx, WR22, (ltd. 100)
John Watermann (1935 - 2002) was the master of collage music, one of the most original and talented musicians from pre-digital electronic underground scene. He started his career in Germany as experimental movie maker and photographer, became interested in music since mid 60s when he tried to involve background sound in his video works. In the 70s, he moved to Australia, where he was living until passed away. For many years he collected odd studio gear, able to record something only in 80s. Releasing a number of tape albums on his own Nightshift Records imprint, he used various denominations like Spinal Machine and Total Disease, illustrating also his automated language writings. The most ingenious work was released on 3 LPs, later re-released on double CD by Walter Ulbricht Schallfolien in Germany. During 90s, his works were released by various european and american labels, as well as interesting collaborations with Merzbow etc. Highly surrealistic and humorous, they implemented collage technique into environmental recordings and noise ambience. But many early materials remains unavailable due to very limited print. To correct this situation, Moscow-based Waystyx label started the series of re-releases, the first one is tape-single with two pieces from 1988-1989. Despite the short duration (just 9 minutes long), this little gem can be endlessly inspiring, and I just wonder if you change your mind about the traditional song structure after listening to. How is it possible to elaborate whole avantgarde piece out of single song bar without any additional arrangements? Carefully stripping down the structure, Watermann resolves a puzzle within the song, but it remains really the same. He succeed to put his absolute experience packed into sampled bits, supposedly random but not anyhow either. He succeed the maximum emotional output and bring you to ecstasy! Zoat-Aon -- "The Triplex Bestial" -- CD -- €10
2006 Aural Hypnox, [AH07], (ltd. 1000)
By the careful adjustment and manipulation of both modern and archaic mediums is created a highly dynamic work of aural alchemy depicting the trance and dream of a carnal totem standing between Heaven and Earth, where the unearthly sound of starlight's serpentine arteries winding together with the blackened branches above mingles with the oneiric hisses and crackles of necromantic phantoms and slithering roots below. A barbarous, sonic paradox suggesting the subtle arousal of the ancestry in flesh, a work both soothing and threatening to the intuitive mind. [press-release]
