The project Kshatriy appeared on the Russian post-industrial scene in 2004 and up to present has participated in several compilations, as well as released some solo and collaboration recordings on limited edition CDRs. Muzyka Voln presents the project’s first "professional" compact disk with the album "Slepok Sonzaniya" (meaning "a mould of consciousness" in Russian).
This work is based on the concept of consciousness of a warrior, a galactic warrior of light, bringing to world pure knowledge, infinite silence, perfect balance, a moment of power and might, a flight of freedom, love, serenity, joy, light, unified time, eternal life, simplicity and bliss.
The music of the project can be described as fractal dark drone ambient with lots of patterns, woven from various sonic fibres: synthesized drones, processed field recordings, acoustic echoes and rhythmic loops. Calm and profound, filled with resilience and hidden power, like an endless ocean of tranquility, energy and beauty.

"How recycling of old musical recordings from tapes, vinyl and old musical waste can lead to an intriguing album." The art of recycling adapted to music that is exactly what the musical project Bionulor does. With loops from classical music the Polish musician recreates his own pieces. Most pieces on the self-titled debut album are based on minimal samples of just one or a few notes. Most samples seem to originate from piano songs, but there are also some stringed instruments appearing. In a way not uncommon to William Basinski we hear the loops fade in and out slowly changing their character during the progression. Though, the technique used here is not so much based on degradation and/or disintegration of sound. No, instead Bionulor uses a digital processing technique. In the pieces we hear soft filters and pitching to alter the sound. In several pieces the same source sounds are used but rendered with different effects delivering diverse results. Sometimes it sounds a little bit too easy, but as a whole there is enough variation on the album to keep you listening. The 20 years anthology of creative work from the french composer, consisting of only previously unreleased material. Fantastic soundscapes, drawing images without any visual similarities and presenting the best ever sense of acousmatic music... Bernard Donzel-Gargand is the unique musician and composer. He is a celebrity in Annecy but unfortunately less known abroad, especially because he published just one CD of fabulous works on Plate Lunch in 2001. Before discovering electroacoustic music in 1978, he participated in the free jazz movement and improvised music. Since that time, he is the author of acousmatic music, works for animation, dance and interactive contemporary art. In 1981, he founded the Collectif & Cie studio, together with Philippe Blanchard, Alain Basso, Philippe Moenne-Loccoz, and Peter Ernrooth, amongst others. Later on, with Philippe Blanchard he founded Studio Forum and the yearly festival "Le Bruit de la Neige". Bernard was born in 1955 and composing the music since 70s, he knew personally Pierre Schaeffer and received some prizes at GMEB concours in Bourges. He influenced Blanchard a lot, and his music was perfect example for many other young musicians in Annecy. But his musical career was not so active, because Bernard prefers to work alone in his studio rather than promote his music for publicity. But his works can be compared with the best electroacoustic music coming from France, and his name should be mentioned with celebrities like Michel Chion, Xavier Garcia, Bernard Parmegiani, Luc Ferrari and Francois Bayle. Jason Kahn's work includes sound installation, performance and composition. He was born in New York in 1960, grew up in Los Angeles and relocated to Europe in 1990. He currently lives in Zürich. He has given concerts and exhibited sound installations throughout Europe, North and South America, Japan, Mexico, Korea, Israel, Turkey, Russia, Lebanon, Egypt, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Australia. Kahn performs both solo and in collaborations, using percussion, analog synthesizer or computer in different combinations. He composes for electronics, acoustic instruments and environmental recordings. For larger groups of directed improvisation he has devised a system of graphical scores. Kahn creates his sound installations for specific spaces. The focus of these primarily non-visual works lies in the perception of space through sound... Richard Francis has been releasing works on CD/vinyl, performing solo and in collaboration as a touring artist since 1996. He uses field recordings of natural and electronic sounds and a signal generator to compose layered sound works of textural and tonal detail. He has released solo and collaborative works on a number of labels worldwide and runs his own label CMR through which he currently releases limited edition lathe cut records by New Zealand artists. In performance he uses a computer and electronics and has toured Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, Canada, USA and Europe. Industrial. Ur were born in early 2005 as a collaboration between Federico Esposito, Mauro Sciaccaluga and Andrea Ferraris. They made their live debut at the Afe-Party in November 2005, recently they also opened for Eugene Chadbourne and Wolf Eyes during their italian tours. There is a strong dramatic feeling in their powerful sound, where everything seems to reproduce a sort of wedding between the modernity of the media and the primordial instincts of the performers. Following their self-released "Baptism & Birthday", "Triadic Memories" was released on Afe in April 2006. An Ur CD entitled "Trieb" was released in 2008 on Topheth Prophet in Israel... Craig Hilton was born in 1972, he has been playing the guitar since he was 10. His first experimentations in sound began as a teenager with a guitar and a 4 track tape recorder. His first release was a collaboration with Yannick Franck (Belgium) entitled "Amatra". A second collaboration happened with Maurizio Bianchi (Italy) entitled "PU94" which is being re-released in late 2008. Xiphoid Dementia is Egan Budd's noise project based in Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Budd has been active in the noise underground since about 2002 and creates a powerful sort of ambient-noise music. His latest release is a numbered, limited edition CD titled "Might Is Blight" and therein begins a bleak journey through the possible end times of life as we know it, the ruination of Earth, and the death of illusion. This noise artist has in his artistic grasp the means of creating sound structures that are metaphors for such ideas even though to find those places requires certain lengths to be gone to... What Budd has accomplished here is impressive, not too many noise artists are attempting something so ambitious, a hybrid style of composing that incorporates modern classical avant garde, droning electronic noise and atmospheric ambience to create a strong, cinematic music... A strange project that for a moment united Peter Andersson (raison d'etre) and Johanna Rosenqvist (ex-Institut, Koeff) in the distant 1992. Cataclyst's music combines the melancholic beauty of early raison d'etre and Necrophorus, harsh industrial rhythms of Institut and tribal-elements of another undeservingly forgotten project of Peter - Svasti-Ayanam... What differs this product from other works of Swedish industrial scene masters is the atmosphere of remote fairy worlds in which you smoothly sink into while listening to "Monuments of a Rubicund Age". Peter and Johanna have woven an infinite labyrinth of mirages, walking through which will be a pleasant surprise for both the fans of ambient / experimental / industrial and more conservative gothic lovers. The first edition of the album was published by Peter's own label Yantra Atmospheres in 1999 and was limited to 100 copies. Lirim Cajani's project Institut should be well established now, having played a lot around Europe over the years. This newly recorded effort, the first CD without earlier member Johanna Rosenqvist, is a solid tribute to the struggle of the little man. The sound is more up-front live-centered, almost totally devoid of rhythms throughout and with a lot of anguished and hateful vocals. Deep in the forests of Sweden we found a lumberjack (but he's ok...) and a transylvanian songbird... - together they are Stormfågel. The act itself may be new but the main character in the band, mr lumberjack himself, Andreas Neidhardt has been lurking around for a good 10-15 years in various lesser successfull constallations. This time he manage to surpass himself and created something charming and different. A mixture between folk, martial and neoclassical music! - Strange? and what about adding a very unique and personal female voice in Hungarian to this?! Not heavenly, but hellish and folkish.... Their sound whispers of atmospheres from the past. Romantic, melancholic and decadent, at time even with a bombastic touch. Stormfеgel, Swedish born Andreas Neidhardt and Hungarian vocalist Eva Mag, are back to bless us with a surprisingly phenomenal new work! The music of Stormfagel combines ethnic sounding neofolk compositions sung in Hungarian by Eva, with martial tinged orchestral selections sung by Andreas and Eva together, and their new album, "Ett Berg Av Fasa", impregnates with a beautiful blend of their very special mixture of Swedish / Hungarian martial neofolk orchestrations. The strong and confident voice of Eva Mag sings across the music, in Swedish and in Hungarian as traditional chants, which works extraordinary well with the dark romantic orchestral strings and ritualistic martial drummings, the violins, the bells, keyfiddle and woodwinds.
