Hypnoz is a project of Dmitry Zubov, a musician from Moscow suburb town Fryazino, which endowed the lovers of post-industrial music with such names as Hum and Staruha Mha. His first composition was recorded in 1993, and during its existence Hypnoz has released one CD on the Moscow label Insofar Vapour Bulk, which gathered tracks from different periods, a couple of very limited CD-Rs, and participated on the compilation "Iznutri" by the Ewers Tonkunst label with a fragment of a composition from this album. Aside from Hypnoz Dmitry plays in several other projects: Zuboff Sex Shop (post-punk / new-wave), Circle Of Iron Tape (harsh noise), BRZB (electronics, with Alexey Borisov), etc.

The basis of most of the tracks for "Breath of Earth" was recorded by Dmitry together with Evgeny Voronovsky (Cisfinitum) during their joint night psychedelic sessions, and this is evidently felt in their mood. Stylistically this can be called tranquil electronic ambient with a remarkable experimental touch – but who thinks about it while recording? Slowly twisting sound helixes, drawing inside the astral subspaces, pulsating rhythms, cosmic sounds of old analogue synthesizers, – all this produces an appropriate effect on the listener's mind, and there's nothing more to demand from music.

ÜL was formed in 2006 by Argentinians Alan Courtis (Reynols), Fernando Perales and Charly Zaragoza. They have performed live many times in Argentina and released two albums: "Astropecuario" on the Scottish label Pjorn Records and "II" on the Argentinian Facon Records. This is their third disk containing material recorded in 2007. The goal of ÜL is the exploration of timbric possibilities of electric guitars in their own way, combining elements of noise, drone music and free atonal improvisation. Their compositions immerse the listener into an abstract world of electromagnetic interaction between acoustic and electronic medium. A world glutted with raw sounds of string vibrations, droney feedback resonances, acute work of limiting amplifiers and layering echoes of effects.

III. NEW ITEMS IN MAILORDER CATALOGUE

CD-R/CD

Arcana -- "Cantar de Procella" -- CD -- €13
1997 Cold Meat Industry, CMI.55
Arcana's followup to their one year old debut album. They continue their mixture of so-called industrial elements and rather classical and medieval influences, and this one will no doubt be as critically acclaimed as their debut. [label info]

Arcana -- "Inner Pale Sun" -- CD -- €13
2002 Cold Meat Industry, cmi121
The last album by Arcana, from 2.5 years ago, had the ominous title "The Last Embrace". This, however, turned out to be untrue, since Peter Pettersson now returns with a new full-length record, "Inner Pale Sun". This follows after a couple of eventful years where focus had shifted towards his other project Sophia, a period that has been crowned by the recent birth of Pettersson's daughter. The absence seems not to have had any major effect on Arcana though; the strings flow as gently as ever, the rolling drums and the sonority of the chimes accentuate the various moods spelled out by the music, while the voice of the female companion take the compositions to even more celestial spheres. This albums stands as a magnificent proof that Arcana are back in a leading position among the host of bands on the romantic/ethereal fringe of the darkwave scene. [press-release]

Arcana -- "...The Last Embrace" -- CD -- €13
2000 Cold Meat Industry, CMI.79
Never before did Ida's voice resound so crisp and clear, never before did Peter croon so elegantly, but yet again Arcana surpass expectations with this shimmering eulogy for a past era; an age marked by the polar opposites of belligerence and spirituality, the two streaks also always present in the music of Arcana. So kiss the earth, sharpen your lance, and bliss out to the latest offering from this marvel duo. [press-release]

Beyond Sensory Experience -- "No Lights In Our Eyes" -- CD -- €13
2008 Cold Meat Industry, cmi182
After months of long Nordic nights, intense recording sessions and creative outbursts Beyond Sensory Experience release No Lights In Our Eyes on which they further develop their characteristic and much commended sound. The examination of life that began on Pursuit Of Pleasure and The Dull Routine Of Existence advances and now focuses on death and the subconscious sides of life. Musically, No Lights In Our Eyes ranges from coldest minimalism to the darkest orchestral eruptions, becoming an addictive stimulus for your inward eyes. Expect first class dark atmospheres with a distinctive BSE twist. [press-release]

Brighter Death Now -- "May All Be Dead" -- CD -- €13
1999 Cold Meat Industry, CMI.67
May All Be Dead sets a new standard for cultural terrorism, as well as marking a new milestone in the Industrial history. It is not a follow-up to any previous album, as the concept for this album arised already in 1996. The music has been in a state of deconstruction ever since, and the album was realized in an atmosphere of Violence, Anarchy, Chaos and Love. Cover is designed as a tribute to the erector of Brighter Death Now, Roger Karmanik's teen-idols CRASS. [label info]
[mp3]   [mp3]

Brighter Death Now -- "Necrose Evangelicum" -- 2 CD -- €20
2008 Cold Meat Industry, cmi179
Recorded during 1995 – that most creative of years for Brighter Death Now, which also produced the much harsher album Innerwar, as well as the final part of the epic “Great Death” trilogy – Necrose Evangelicum was immediately received as a new milestone in the genre of “sacred-death-industrial.” In fact, the album had the most favorable reception of any BDN record, and has generally been considered the most easily accessible of BDN’s work. In order to once more make this groundbreaking album available, we have gone back and digitally restored, remastered and remixed the tracks to give them the facelift they so richly deserve. This new edition of Necrose Evangelicum is presented in a beautiful foilprinted digipak together with a “live” CD recorded during the same era. Actually the “live” CD is the recording of a rehearsal for a concert in Vaasa, Finland, which ended up never taking place! The permission of the organizers ran out, and the evening came to an end, before BDN had an opportunity to take the stage. [label info]

Contrastate -- "A Live Coal under the Ashes" -- CD -- €13
1992/2008 Tesco Organisation, TESCO 010
1992 saw the release of "A live coal under the ashes" which was inspired by the events leading up to the changes across Eastern and Central Europe during 1989. This release marked the change conceptually in which the group's ideas became more specific and more focused on contemporary political issues. "A live coal…" was critically acclaimed not just for the music, but also for the artwork and packaging: - a CD placed in the middle of a 12 inch clear vinyl record. After many years of unavailabity Tesco can finally present a rerelease with remastered tracks and a new yet unreleased track called: "Death follows the one eyed cow." An album full of ambient atmospheres, drones, percussion, suitable dark narrations and some steady muted rhythms. These are intense, highly charged recordings with a powerful mystic and ritual feeling. A masterpiece of sound poetry. Comes in nice Digipak. [label info]

Coph Nia -- "Shape Shifter" -- CD -- €13
2003 Cold Meat Industry, cmi122
The second full length album displays familiar streaks while simultaneously pointing out new directions. The pitch-black darkness is eased by moments of sacral ambience, while at times a grand piano and screeching choirs augment the goings-on. [label info]
[mp3]   [mp3]

Coph Nia -- "That Which Remains" -- CD -- €13
2000 Cold Meat Industry, CMI.85
After operating in seclusion for five years, debutants COPH NIA display a sound firmly rooted in the introspective nord-ambient tradition. Think Lustmord meet Sephiroth meet Raison d'etre, all spiced up with moments of delicate polyphony that harken back to goth icons like Dead Can Dance. "That Which Remains" - the result of two years of hard labour - spans topics ranging from death and darkness to passion and reverence, yet a main theme is discernible: the strong belief in the power of the will, both a sword and a shield in the aware individual's perpetual quest for illumination in a secular world about to collapse. [label info]

Damage, Angie -- "Nicotine Tongue" -- mCD -- €7
2007 Intuition Records, INT27001, (ltd. 500)
First release on Intuition label. Four cold melancholic pop hymns which bring to mind the new wave/post-punk 's golden days. The music is comparable to some Joy Division, earliest New Order, The Cure, Clan Of Xymox, early 4AD music. Rough post-punk guitars, cold new waveish keyboards and sensual female vocals. The party can't be started unless you put on this EP! Amazing debut from this very promising act! First 500 copies come in elegant digipack. [label info]

Dawn & Dusk Entwined -- "Septentrion" -- CD -- €13
2007 Cold Meat Industry, cmi178
Dawn & Dusk Entwined begins the collaboration with CMI with an album which is most appropriate dedicated to the Nordic world, imaginary, beauty, not related to the runic current but to the french litterary notion of "Septentrion". Nature as a living entity, apart from any human exploitation, or only seen through the respectful eyes of some simple hosts conscious of their tiny place amidst the timeless natural cycles and power. It's close to a heathen view of the world and confers to the old European beliefs and conscience. You will hear the reflection of the vastness, mysteries, and timelessness of this universe in a journey through these manifold aspects, and through the power and beauty of the unique mixture of progressive-industrial, martial beats, dark ambient, and neo-folk as calls, avoiding usual cliches. This will undoubtfully appeal to fans of all these styles alike! A very strong album! [press-release]

Desiderii Marginis -- "Songs over Ruins" -- CD -- €13
1997 Cold Meat Industry, CMI.56
The tune of a little bell overlaid by strange voices seemingly far away. Melodic atmospheric ambient sounds, one piece with straight rythms, the other very slow and quiet like musical description of a tree without its leaves, haveing cold and waiting for spring that never comes... [label info]

Foundation Hope released its debut album A Call To All Redeemers on the French Divine Comedy Records in January 2006. After summer 2006, two tracks will appear on the Book-cd compilation Pere Lachaise. Before the debut, two promo’s were made, respectively titled Broken Sounds Set To Despairing Melodies and The Forsaken Playgrounds. Both are sold out. The musical influences of Foundation Hope are many, from dark-ambient to abstract noise and post-rock. The aim was and will be, trying to find an individual and somewhat original sound, instead of the sound of common dark-ambient Lustmord epigones. [label info]

Foundation Hope -- "Tunes for the Wounded" -- CD -- €13
2008 Cold Meat Industry, cmi177
‘Tunes for the wounded’ can be considered a lament. It is a defamatory accusation to the world and it’s suffering. Foundation hope lodges complaints through gritty ambient-industrial structures, broken sounds and despairing moods. Always without losing touch with the beautiful and melodic. Always with that tiny bright spark of hope, overshadowed by doubt and cynicism. This successor to ‘The faded reveries’ is a little more harsh. Incorporated are distorted guitar drones, tape-decks, broken strings and noisy outbursts. Firmly rooted in reality, this is tears dropping slowly, a herd crawling through mud and blood, and a call to a redeemer who isn’t there. [label info]

Genocide Organ -- "Remember" -- 2 CD -- €22
1997/2007 Tesco Organisation, TESCO 067
The 10th birthday of "Remember" sees the re-release, containing an extra of 50 minutes live material. Total Time: 139min.! All material was remastered for this release by Propergol and the artwork is completely overworked. It gives an oversight on G.O. performances from the beginning until the year 2000. Powerful, provocative and subversive, just different! [label info]

:Golgatha: -- "Tales of Transgression and Sacrifice" -- CD -- €13
2007 Cold Meat Industry, cmi176
The French philosopher Georges Bataille serves as the inspiration for the new and third fulltime album of the German ritual-folk-band :Golgatha:. Founded in 2004 by Christoph Donarski and S. Marleni, :Golgatha: began in the dark realms of ambient-drones and continually developed their use of acoustic instruments to create a unique mixture organic and electronic elements. After two acclaimed albums on the subject of heroism, ‘Tales of Transgression & Sacrifice’ marks a certain change of course in the music of :Golgatha: – in a psychonautic trip from ritual-drumming via multi-textured soundscapes up to catchy folk-songs this album appears even more sensual, erotic and fascinating than before. [label info]

Ierophania -- "Post-Military, Chapter 2: Localization of Fear" -- CD-R -- €7
2008 UFA-Muzak, UFA21, (ltd. 113)
Noir Martial / Power Ambient. The project of military ritual chanson and occult blessing from Rostovs-on-Don have spread out on a bloody altar of the Great Black Mother the special mercury medicine. The effect constant of "restless presence" has given amazing result in an image of a new album: on trails of infinite war and through furnaces of true faith, to the greater acceptance Nigredo and incessant nervous pressure. It is a very serious album up to extreme limits. And it is necessary to listen to it standing, Without tears, without hysterics, without splits, having compressed in a fist all "human". Having washed, having dressed in clean clothes and having understood that the road back already no. The history already no. Through severe industrial form of steel sculptures of the past accept the fear as a duty, in blood now there is more IEROPHANIA. The group which to the full expressing "the mystery of Russian soul". Light dies away, everyone leave… 10 tracks, 67 minutes, 6x panel envelope with the texts, made from a rough cardboard drawn by a cord. [press-release]

Nakamura, Takeshi -- "Eros, Grotesque, Nonsense" -- CD-R -- €7
2005 Nocharizma, nchr006
Something like glitch / ambient taken to the level of complete abstraction. Instead of definite rhythms - only crackling splinters of rhythmic patterns, instead of melodies - shifting atonal drones and bleeps. All this is made in very correct Japanese way, pleasantly listenable and not straining your mind.

Ordo Equilibrio -- "The Triumph of Light.... And Thy Thirteen Shadows of Love" -- CD -- €13

Po.No.(i)Za. -- "Evil Irons of the Black Producers" -- 2 CD-R -- €10
2008 Operator Produkzion, OPERPRODUKT30, (ltd. 52)
The newest insanity from Russian project Po.No.(i)Za. happened to be more clear and even "holed" in sound, comparing to "Dokumentazion". But there's not less schizophrenia, and what makes us glad, the aesthetics of the project have become much more nostalgic. 60-s, "Moscow says and shows", Soviet movies, science and technology and even some completely unexpected here military touch. "KVN" TV-set, registered in a psychiatric dispensary, versus radio-gramophone "Yunost", fueled with lysergine. Each of 2 disks comes with the galleries of photo-works by the author. 52 copies in vinyl boxes with full-colour glossy cover. [press-release]

Post Scriptvm -- "Marginal Existence" -- CD -- €13
2005 Hermetique, H-CD04, (ltd. 500)
A sound work on its own. An extremely dark one. Some sort of contemplative mirror of a sick society. It is without artifice that this American project hailing from New-York (Brooklyn) unveils us a neat and unhealthy piece of sound work of an incredible intrinsic maturity. A now mad and rabid, now suffocating atmosphere. The thread seems uncertain and lures the listener into a cruel maze with no exit. Here each sound is disembodied, jammed and torn out. Is this reality or is it fiction? On edge. Existence is a painful last resort. A desperate move. In search of one's own body, of one's own destiny. The journey is a dangerous and solitary one. Putrefied flesh, fleshless and revengeful spectres. Clockwork is irremediably running towards its last turn. Paralyzing. Like a trepan, Post-Scriptvm goes deeply into the unutterable side of our mind and of our sensitivity. A journey with no safe return guarantee and a possible dead end as an outlet in a pitiless and disjointed pipe dream like scenery. In the heart of the senses and of the emotion. The search for the past, for history and for existence lies in the fact of digging the earth among rubble and muddy bones in order to rebuild this macabre and moribund puzzle of our human life ad infinitum. A unique masterpiece incarnating an open-heart operative field, a brain surgery of the last chance during which a general anaesthesia is proscribed. Mastered by Jerome Nougaillon (Propergol), it comes in special envelope with inserts and is limited to 500 copies. [label info]

Raison d'Etre -- "Prospectus I" -- CD -- €13
1993 Cold Meat Industry, CMI.18
A stunning blend of the modern 'soft' gothic sound and the timeless chants of Catholic rituals. It it at once a beautiful sound, yet also filled with melancholy. Nine movements in samples, loops, slow powerful drums, orchestrations, bells, keyboards, chants, echoes, sustained notes... feeling like the inside of a factory or a haunted monastery. Another one to sit alone in the dark with. [label info]

Gainsbourg and The Pixies) to the present time (Don't Save The Museum recorded in 2006). Atmospheric keyboards, acoustic or distorted guitar, expressive male and heavenly female voice, excellent lyrics. Their extraordinary songs are full of beauty and melancholies. An impressive ethereal new wave with a specific French influence. [label info]

ROME -- "Masse Mensch Material" -- CD -- €13
2008 Cold Meat Industry, cmi181
New wine from the orchards of Rome! After two successful albums, Nera and Confessions d’un Voleur d’Ames, ROME blesses us with its 12-track-knock-out Masse Mensch Material -which holds more than one musical surprise! ROME’s particular brand of post-industrial folk, combined with new-wave song-writing and neo-classical arrangements, takes on a new and poppy twist. But these outstanding songs have way too much depth to be dismissed as mere pop music. This third album is of a more subtle darkness and probably ROME’s best work to date. A work of art of extreme sincerity, Masse Mensch Material revolves around the themes of love, faith and endurance. ROME has created a fascinating world of contradictions which each song lays out with clarity and with all the cruelty and kindness intact. Within a very short period of time and at a terrifying pace, workaholic mastermind Jerome Reuter has carved his own path and created and established a dominion of his own, with its own codes and values. Through its bitter sweet melodies of exquisite sadness and rebellion, its haunting lyrics, mesmerizing vocals and recordings of unmatched production and sound, ROME has become the new face of dark romanticism. Jerome’s voice echoes pride and death of a time and place long forgotten. A voice which becomes the axis that breaks one’s consciousness into some kind of tender submission. Let yourself be buried in the shade of this masterpiece, in the beauty of desperation! Come out under the stars! ROME is the light! Exclusive 4-panel embossed digipak with 16-pages booklet including ALL lyrics! [press-release]

Sonne Hagal -- "Jordansfrost" -- CD -- €13
2008 Luftschutz Entertainment, Luftschutz 011
SONNE HAGAL's second full-time album once more bestows the listener with a journey into the unknown realms of poetry, mysteries and enthralling melodies. Closely connected to Europa's folk-music tradition and the Northern mysteries, the band develops song structures that reach from simple traditional arrangements to complex compositions. The songs, performed in German and English, reveal rediscovered poems as well as self-written lyrics. The atmosphere of the songs varies from intimate, quiet parts to fresher, light-hearted and lively sounds up to heavy distorted parts supported by real or electronic drums. Each song unfolds its own universe, interconnected by the central idea of "Jordansfrost": the constant changing between light and darkness, the seasons or even life and death themselves. A number of well-known international artists supports the band in their intention to create more than just music: a whole philosophy. Amongst others you'll find: Of The Wand And The Moon (DK), In Gowan Ring (US), Waldteufel (US), Ernte (GER), Lux Interna (US), Darkwood (GER) and Black Sun Productions (CH). The cover artwork uses exclusive paintings by Fabrice/Divine Comedy Records (FR) and underlines the depth and beauty of these 45 minutes of German Darkfolk. Special Digipak comes in three different artworks. [label info]

From 2001 comes this long out-of-stock milestone, finally available again, this time in a jewelcase, and without the 3" bonus CDS which was included in the first edition. But no tears, be happy to have it available again! Comparisons for this ARCANA side-project with DER BLUTHARSCH and even IN SLAUGHTER NATIVES are legitimate, as Sophia paint a similar sort of epic frescos. These are the solemn and sonorous melodies belted out by the pipers and drummers while the army retract from a hard day's work at the battlefield, saving the kingdom from legions of infidels… [label info]

The Translucent Communion - a reflection of the hollow and imaginary archetype of our civilization, a blackened view on the humanity falling into a perfect nothingness of technocratic illusions, a refined and well designed disharmony for our next generation. 6 tracks that arise from the shadows, then spread and sweep across a barren, wind swept landscape, creating a sound so thick and texturally deep it swallows the earth like a venomous fog. Comparisons to Raison D'Etre, Lustmord and Bad Sector are reference points, but only hint at the massive potential of Vestigial. Presented in a lavishly designed 6-panel, partially varnished digipak. Vorodeev + Tak_Otozh -- "Live a Tandem" -- CD-R -- €7
2008 Nocharizma
The recording of a concert performed by Alex Vorodeev (Nocharizma label) and Max "Tak_Otozh" Shevtsov at "Tandem" club on 25.11.2006. During almost 40 minutes Max recites his belles-lettres in a form of short stories (in Russian language), and Alex plays some calm and abstract collage from electronic and acoustic sounds, sometimes also processing Max's voice by looping and spreading it over the audio space, but not actually destroying the sense of texts. For those who love the combination of spoken word and music, and contemporary prose.

Vorodeyev, A. -- "Nanoday EP" -- CD-R -- €5
2005 Nocharizma, nchr003
Four tracks combining the stylistics of glitch / ambient / post-idm / experimental. Quiet abstract music, partly resembling the recordings of Fennesz in it's approach, yet more peculiar.

Vorodeyev, Al. -- "Coldcrear EP" -- CD-R -- €5
2005 Nocharizma, nchr004
Three collage tracks made in vein of experimental / ambient / minimal. Second track sontains obvious hints on a well-known composition by Burzum.

ZR 19.84 -- "Nihil: Un Petit Rien" -- CD-R -- €7
2008 UFA-Muzak, UFA22, (ltd. 141)
Martial Industrial / Noir Folk. Italian "partisan" Rickardo Z. has given exclusively for ours label a completely delightful material of historical music and noisy rhythms. It in a maximum degree the symphony of regeneration and reanimation from ashes of ambassador-military occupation. You stand in the middle of the destroyed city, the death silence, crursh by a sound of broken patephone, plate stammers and hisses, you slowly get a pistol and shoot to yourselves in a head. World Depression. NIHIL. The style, which he presents, is original and practically there are no frameworks and paints in registration of a grandiose picture of post-modern militarism and surrealistic-romantic futurism. Dark predatory ambient, disappearing and from time to time shown noise, decadent noir folk, crushing by marches and weapon martial. All latent becomes obvious. Fascinative music! 10 tracks, 66 minutes, non-standard envelope 15х15 centimeters. [press-release]

V/A -- "Cold Meat Industry Live In Australia" -- DVD -- €20
2007 Cold Meat Industry, cmi170
February 2006 saw Melbourne, Australia play host to 3 of the longest running and most influential acts from Sweden’s cult ambient industrial record label Cold Meat Industry. To seal the deal, collaborative and side projects and some high calibre Australian supports contributed to Australia’s premier Cold Meat Industry Festival, brought to you by Family Friendly and Heartland Records. Two nights of mayhem, drunkeness and antics. Two evenings of hallucinatory industrial rhythms, beautiful, haunting ambience, monstrous rumbling, clanking steel and dark orchestral scores. Two shows of droning death industrial nightmares, harsh noise and abrasive power electronics topped only by pigtails and balloons. After all; what is a party without balloons? Not only did Family Friendly have the foresight to bring such long overdue acts to the land of sunburn, marsupials and beer, they also had the foresight to record events as they unfolded. For the artists this means posterity. For you it means you get to either re-live it (if you were fortunate enough to be there) or live it through the eyes and ears of others if you weren’t. You could use it as an expensive drink coaster but we’d suggest that would be silly. It’s too good to get wet... Featuring: Manticle, Shinjuku Thief, Brighter Death Now, Bocksholm, raison d'etre, Isomer, Frozen Faces, Atomine Elektrine, Deutsch Nepal. [press-release]

Anenzephalia -- "s/t" -- CD -- €13
2001 Death Factory, DEATH-011, (ltd. 2000)
Anenzephalia are a wellknown cult band in the underground industrial scene in Germany, Europe and the World. With obscure limited edition releases on labels such as Tesco and RRRecords and with a close relation to their label mates Genocide Organ, they, or he, or whoever really is the core of this mysterious band, have made a mark in the annals of German industrial music. This is not just another Anenzephalia live recording, since this was a special, and may we add a very odd occasion: In Slaughter Natives and Mortiis(!) opening up for Anenzephalia!! We who were there recall an almost religious experience, an intense show with throbbing electronics setting up the scene for B. Moloch's chilling voice. Now, five years later, this legendary live set sees the light again with this release, and hopefully gets the attention it deserves. Digipak. [press release]

Anenzephalia -- "Ephemeral Dawn" -- CD -- €13
Tesco Organisation, Tesco 026
Released 1996 in a ltd. ed. of 750 and sold out since 10 years! That time released in a postercover and available now again in a Digipak with booklet. Brilliand brain numbing power-electronics. Anenzephalia -- "Noehaem" -- CD -- €13
Tesco Organisation, TESCO057
"Noehaem" is dark sounds from a nihilistic nowhere, consisting of intense rhythmic structures mixed with well-designed noise layers and sick noise terror. Definitely another step ahead for the project after the highly acclaimed 10" "Die Sender Mussen Schweigen" on Loki. Recommended for those into the searing aural barrages from Brighter Death Now. Atrium Carceri -- "Ptahil" -- CD -- €13
2007 Cold Meat Industry, cmi168
The fourth album from composer Simon Heath (Sweden) ventures beyond the vestiges of your mortality, granting a fleeting glance at the world beyond the veil. As ever, Simon has reinvented the genre as well as himself with a unique ambience created from his ever-increasingly complex and obscure techniques of mental dissolution and musical innovation. Atrium Carceri emerges from the vapours with yet another stunning release entitled Ptahil (fetahil). The obsidian citadel stands stoic, its forceful gaze forever over streets running rampant with the councils bidders, while the citadel of glass attracts the mindless reincarnates grasping at anything physical while their memories slowly burn away in the womb of their eternal home. The comforts of quiet lives forever washed away by a miasmic tidal wave of necrotic flesh, sagging, protean forms and the chill of the grave. This is a place where steel rusts and is forgotten, where flesh and the fleeting forms it inhabits are forever changed. Ptahil sees all, and forgets naught. Let your mind be stripped to the pulpy, undulating core with this darkened voyage into domains both dreadful and serenely beautiful. [press-release]

Coph Nia -- "The Dark Illuminati" -- CD -- €13
2007 Cold Meat Industry, cmi163
The Thelemic Warlord is back; and after years of silence and solitude Aldenon once again presents us with a true masterpiece - "The Dark Illuminati - A Celestial Tragedy in two acts". This is an epic saga of eight illuminating pieces trying to penetrate the core of the Darkest Light. Aldenon's characteristic growling coupled with Linus's bombastic drums and Karin's serene voice come together in a tapestry of ritualistic, penetrating and sinister ambiance. Included are three timeless classics in new and improved formats... Choirs, strings and intricate orchestrations bring about an unforgettable tale that won't leave any listener untouched; possibly giving rise to more questions, than it poses answers. So what is it? The Dark Illuminati - The Dark Enlightened.... A global elite attempting to enforce a world government? An organization controlling world affairs? The New World Order? Or a Secret Few, merely seeking to preserve the Dark Light....? Well... The Stage is set. The Music begins to play. But the Script has been lost. [press-release]

Darkwood -- "Flammende Welt" -- CD -- €13
2001 Heidenvolk, HV 04
"Flammende Welt" is the third album by the German band Darkwood. After leading us into a neo-classical soundscape and battlefield atmosphere on their album "Heimat & Jugend", they now close the circle to "In the Fields" and present a heroic acoustic album with German and English vocals and an omnipresent touch of melancholy. Martial tunes and samples complete the historical tale on the Folk of Destiny. [label info]

Darkwood -- "Notwendfeuer" -- CD -- €13
Heidenvolk, HV 10
Darkwood proved to be one of the most prolific and outstanding German neofolk bands. This upcoming studio album is certainly the most forceful recording so far. It combines martial acoustic songs and dark folk tunes, using acoustic sources like guitars, classical instruments, organic drums, and distorted basses. The 10 tracks dedicated to Youth & Fire are the perfect soundtrack for Winter Solstice. They shall evoke the burning need for a great change, forcing hands into hands. The standards already high after "Flammende Welt" and "Herbstgewölk" are even set higher now. [press release]

Desiderii Marginis -- "Deadbeat" -- CD -- €13
2001 Cold Meat Industry, CMI.86
Mjölby: hick town, epicentre of Swedish counter-culture, a power-plant transmitting anti-art currents over the national grid. Home of the legendary deathseekers Brighter Death Now, of the infamous scatologist Raison d'Etre, and not least of the decadence afficionado Desiderii Marginis. 'Deadbeat' is Desiderii Marginis' magnum opus, a bewitching tale from a midwintery Sweden veiled in darkness, firmly maintaining their ranking among the upper crust of the Mjölby avantgarde. Listening to Desiderii Marginis is like travelling in time, back to the days when you first discovered CMI and instantly became enchanted. By watching and learning from old mages like Raison d'etre and Morthound, Johan Levin has aggregated different styles, but eventually the music is still distinguished by his highly personal touch. Close your eyes, and find yourself moved to desolate windswept forests - where mist lingers around leafless branches, moonbeams just barely break through, and distant howls both entice and frighten. These are emotions so familiar and so novel at the same time, evoked by classic CMI material that both looks back and points forward. [label info]

Desiderii Marginis -- "Seven Sorrows" -- CD -- €13
2007 Cold Meat Industry, cmi173
Seven Sorrows is the sixth album by the renowned swedish dark-ambient project Desiderii Marginis, and a most eagerly awaited follower to the highly acclaimed album of 2005, That Which Is Tragic And Timeless. With the material on Seven Sorrows Johan Levin, the mind behind Desiderii Marginis, has dug deeper than ever before within the creative depths and so ventures even further into the darklands of dispair and solitude, deeper into the vibrant shadows of the human mind. Since the very debute in 1993, Desiderii Marginis has, with every new offering, refined and reinvented the trademark sound, and this release is no exception to the rule. Strummed guitars and dulcimers blend seamlessly with soaring strings, raging drones, the sound of twisted metal and spoken word. Diverse sources, yet tamed to an intriguing and alluring whole that slowly spin it’s web around the helpless listener and drags them into the vortex of dreamlike darkness. First 2000 copies in a 6-panel digipak, artwork photos taken by the exceptional photographer Birthe Klementowski. [press-release]

Desiderii Marginis -- "Strife" -- CD -- €13
2004 Cold Meat Industry, cmi131
’Strife’ is, as the name implies, a sort of reflection over the rather pityful human desire to engage in all kinds of conflict. Everywhere and always. There is admittedly a healthy aspect of conflict or competition – the clash of ideas, ideologies, opinions and the like. But often strife takes the form of mere pointless destruction for no purpose. That particular lack of meaning is what this album is all about. ’War is a continuation of politics’ von Clausewitz wrote in the 1830’s. But if there’s no political visions to realize, no higher goal to pursue, no new beginning, no rebirth, then what? Guns go silent only to discover that nothing has really been accomplished. Old structures of injustice remain, recent conflicts are added to old ones. Does this sound depressing? I think it is. The music on this album is not intended to sound like the blazing guns of a world at war. It is what it is simply because these kind of thoughts went through my head as the music was made. I have had no ambition to address any particular issue, I’m definitely not trying to promote, or badmouth, any political or ideological points of view. Politics are firmly rooted in the present. Strife itself is eternal. The music is, as always, a strictly personal way to deal with and express the ever present madness of man. Nothing changes, everything is new... [label info]

Desiderii Marginis -- "That Which Is Tragic And Timeless" -- CD -- €13
2005 Cold Meat Industry, cmi146
Desiderii Marginis was formed in 1993 and is the spawn and emotional outlet of Johan Levin, who is also the sole member. The musical hallmark of this act can best be described as eerie dark-ambient, often on an almost epical scale, sadness in it's splendor. These things are also the subject matter of Desiderii Marginis' songs in general - 'That which is tragic and timeless'. The american painter Mark Rothko once said that art should deal primarily with 'that which is tragic and timeless'. For this release Desiderii Marginis decided to pick up this idea - not as a dogma or rule, but rather like a distant echo, encapsulating and encompassing everything that I have ever tried to accomplish in terms of music. Epic sounds of solitude - music as comfort and refuge, as a mirror of all the shortcomings and flaws that constitutes the human nature. The ordinary world is explored, mapped and claimed. Still, the landmarks of our inner continents are remarkably few, and they remain unnamned. But the journey goes on… [press-release]

Die Form -- "Exhuman" -- CD + DVD -- €16
2006 Trisol, TRI 280 CD
Whatever you may call their artistic accomplishment - be it Dark Electro, Neo Classic or Avant-garde - DIE FORM play in a league of their own. Having been pioneers of dark electronic music for 25 years they are still one step ahead of anyone else. "ExHuman" manages to captivate us by a raw, almost tangible directness that can be felt especially in songs such as "Neo Futura RMX" where impelling dance beats sound like whippings, or "Chaos Theory" which is very likely to become (thanks to its post-industrial rhythms) the band's new club hit along with "Nox ExHumana RMX". However, "ExHuman" is not only meant to be a club album but holds a variety of other styles: songs with soundtrack-like elegance and profoundness such as "Pendulum/Dismember" take turns with Dark Ambient sounds as represented in "Electroid" and "New Erotica". "ExHuman" is spheric, sombre, complex and -as usual- very innovative. The isolation of the creational process, nightshifts, the bleak, cold and sterile atmosphere, in short, all the familiar yet strange elements which are so typical for DIE FORM do also unfold on this album. DVD incl. video clips by Philippe Fichot. [label info]

Genocide Organ -- ": In-Konflikt :" -- CD -- €13
2004 Tesco Organisation, Tesco 060
Finally a new album by Genocide Organ! It's been near five years since "The truth will make you free" was released in 1999. Now 11 new tracks which reflect the development of the band during this time, a blend mixture from industrial to power electronics to dark depressive ambient noise outbursts for which Genocide Organ is known. Presented in a digipak with booklet and ltd. num. edition LP with inlet. Genocide Organ don't reflect a concrete event of whatever nature, this an abstract questioning of everything with anything, a call to action, which ends in a waste of energy... a call for a movement which is a waste of time... a nihilistic pessimistic worldview which leads somewhere... we all fill just space and are part of IN-KONFLIKTS. [label info]

Graumahd -- "Cheru" -- CD -- €13

In Slaughter Natives -- "Resurrection" -- CD -- €13
2004 Cold Meat Industry, cmi135
One of the very first outbursts on Cold Meat Industry were In Slaughter Natives, and still to this day they are one of the most renowned and well-respected acts on the label and the industrial scene today. Since the birth of J. Havukainen's brainchild back in 1988, the accumulated brilliance and overall excitement of every In Slaughter Natives release have far surpassed what any other band, man or woman can possibly accomplish over the extent of a lifetime; and this time is no different. We are awestruck by the bombastic mayhem and the classical agony of hell's philharmonic orchestra coming to visit, and we bow our heads in reverence to the frantic growls of the king himself grinning from his place in your living room sofa. This is pure brilliance; a masterpiece which proves that all these lonely years of everlasting anticipation have been worth the wait; In Slaughter Natives are back and still an untamed force to be reckoned with. This is the soundtrack to the rising apocalypse, the mad laughter of the heretic burned at the stake; this is the return of a king. [press-release]

Lustmord -- "Metavoid" -- CD -- €13
Nextera, ERA 2008-2
Originally released in 2001 and being out of print for some years this is the seventh Lustmord release, and the first since 1994's "The Place Where The Black Stars Hang". "Metavoid" presents the logical development of that unmistakable Lustmord sound, and pushes further into new depths which raised global interest in Lustmord's originality as the musician and sound engineer. "The human mind is, and will forever remain, incapable of comprehending the many depths and layers that encompass the universe within which we live. We construct ever changing theoretical and semiotic perspectives in an attempt to map and decode the unknown, but meaning remains incomprehensible. Through endless corridors of silence and dread, deeper than vacuum, beyond infinity and the realm of measurement, ideographic patterns do not emerge. Our role is insignificant, and is futile at best. The sum of knowledge is nothingness. Outside the narrow confines of our intellect, larger forces are at play, and some things may best remain unknown." [label info]

Mortart -- "Abuse" -- CD-R -- €7
Imbecil Records 009, ltd. 77
Classical death industrial from the south of Russia. Dark soundscapes and factory atmosphere, vague blows, low frequencies. The album is recorded in old school manner, without any computers, only tapes, field recordings, metal percussion, etc.

Mortart -- "All Sounds Is Beauty" -- CD-R -- €7
Imbecil Records 014, (ltd. 47)
Frank lo fi true industrial / death ambient for the most abnormal fans. Rumble of factory iron, insane shouts like "My father is Elvis Prestley!", tape noise, feedback. Horrible! Hand-made sleeve with serigraphy and photo of a corpse gnawed by rats.

Mortart -- "Klinik" -- CD-R -- €7
Imbecil Records 011, (ltd. 40)
Probably the most abstract Mortart album - 2 tracks of minimalistic ambient extracted from manipulations with electronic devices.

Mortart -- "Light Of Darkness" -- CD-R -- €7
Imbecil Records 004, (ltd. 44)
The project of Alexander Selivanov, owner of Imbecil Records, hailing from Rostov, South of Russia. Quite unknown for me before, this label releasing various CDR editions from the depths of russian underground. Very elitist one, because the edition size is just 44 copies - one of them I got directly from the owner. Musically, the material is very close to isolationist/ritual dark ambient, sometimes it moves into the gothic-influenced terrain (the author prefers to be labelled "death-industrial"). Four parts are not divided from each other, induces monotonous lullabies in the noisy environments of abandoned places - sometimes this foggy dream turns to delirium. Very well executed artwork, disc packed in black A5 folder with golden scripture. Recommended for fans of Cold Meat Industry related stuff. [Dmitry Vasilyev, "Independent Electronic Music"]

MZ.412 -- "Infernal Affairs" -- CD -- €13
2006 Cold Meat Industry, cmi161
After 7 years of hard work MZ.412 finally deliver their swan-song "Infernal Affairs". After the prelude "Domine Rex Inferum" this is the ultimate new album of MZ.412, nothing but pure bombastic evil manifested in explicit sounds; and it is terrifyingly beautiful! As always, based on the dark arts, the sound is classic MZ.412 taken to the extreme and beyond. Whatever dark fetishism you're into, it's all here; from abysmal ambient parts, heavy pounding industrial dance hits, to grand orchestral maneuvers. The Swedish Legion returns to dominate the scene once again, with an album that clearly defines what true black industrial music is all about.... After inventing the style that degenerated an entire genre in the early 90's, they show once again that they are here to lead the way for future generations.... Yes, you may think you've heard it before - but never ever this powerful! No, we're not here to convince you - We're telling you! MZ.412 are the original home for members of many wellknown projects in the electronic scene. The CD comes in an extremely dark and very MZ-stylished embossed 6-panel digipak. Release date: 6.6.6. Novy Svet -- "Faccia a Faccia" -- CD -- €13
2006 The Nekofutschata Musick Cabaret, neko 17
Unavailable for some years, "Faccia a Faccia", NOVY SVET's second album, stands out as a classic from the late 90's post-industrial explosion. First issued by the now defunct british WSD label, here's this influential album now in new artwork and with a different ghost track from the same sessions. Foggy music and scratched melodies make up this CD that once was named the best release to commit suicide to. In other words: just beautiful. [label info]

Nový Svet -- "Fin. Finito. Infinito" -- CD -- €13
Nekofutschata, Neko 16
Even within the enigmatic discography of NOVY SVET the album FIN. FINITO. INFINITO takes a special place. The original 12" coming in an edition of 77 copies only offered nothing more than the title in embossed red letters - the rest was all blackness. The group's comments to this major work summed up to complete silence, which opened space for a mass of partly obscure interpretations. For sure this album was conceived as a good-bye, finding a climax in the suicidal title track. Rare example of a cult item coming up to the listener's expectations for the first time on digital format. [label info]

Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio -- "Apocalips" -- CD -- €13
2006 Cold Meat Industry, cmi141
We are certainly living in apocalyptic times, there is finality in the air, the world seemingly heading toward ever more upheavals of epic proportions - and what soundtrack could be more fitting to these times of ours than the new Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio album Apocalips? Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio continue their march amongst seeming polarities - of creation and destruction, of dark and light, of joy and sorrow, of sex and war- toward the Coniunctio Oppositorum, the conjunction of opposites. Their seventh full-length album thus far, the eagerly awaited Apocalips, true to the ethos of The Order of Roses and Balance, is an opus of decadent beauty, of shining darkness, of fierce eroticism, of dreams, of blood, sperm and fire. Despite these familiar themes, Apocalips is also more grippingly personal and melancholic than previous records - perhaps reflecting the personal apocalypses of its creator, Tomas Pettersson. Having refined their sound to yet again new levels of clarity and completeness, Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio continue in their tradition of sound, the instruments ranging from drifting acoustic guitars, piercing percussions, lush pianos and strings to the fittingly decadent samples (including the ever-present Saloon Kitty) and above all the deep voice of Tomas Pettersson, delivering his poetic diatribes and evocations via spoken word, and even more than on previous works, via singing. Regain Records, RR0311-043

Raison d'Être -- "The Empty Hollow Unfolds" -- CD -- €13
2000 Cold Meat Industry, CMI.78
This is a grim travelogue from the land where the sun never rises; grievous keyboard overlayed by factory noises and the trademark chanting monks turns this into some of the most unsettling listening since of Lustmord's 'Paradise Disowned'. [label info]

Raison d'Etre -- "In Sadness, Silence and Solitude" -- CD -- €13
Cold Meat Industry, cmi157
Mammoth stone walls stretching high into the unknown, dank cellars stewn with bones and ashes. A chill in the lonely night wind disturbed by the utterance of arcane phrases. This is music guaranteed to at least bring about thoughts of mysticism, if it doesn't produce mystical states outright. This defines the term hauntingly beautiful. The long deleted 'In Sadness, Silence an Solitude', the fourth fullength album of Raison d'etre and first released in 1997, is yet another astonishing piece of dark ambiental chants mixed with industrial elements and deep droones. Now, 'In Sadness, Silence an Solitude' has carefully been re-mastered for maximun fidelity. In addition, the original artwork has splendidly been re-worked and recent live versions of two original album tracks has been added to extend the already great experience with more than 16 minutes. This album is dark yet ultimately beautiful to the point of being indescribable, which one must hear to fully comprehend. [label info]

Raison d'Être -- "Requiem For Abandoned Souls" -- CD -- €13
2005 Cold Meat Industry, cmi128
One of the persons in the extended CMI family that doesn't need a particulary long introduction is Peter Andersson. His Raison d'Etre was one of the first acts to be featured on CMI, and over the last ten years he has kept refining their signature sound over an extensive discography. Three years since the previous album, the new offering 'Requiem for Abandoned Souls' is a kind of climax, a career peak that all previous albums have pointed up to, where the music sets a perfect backdrop for the theme as spelled out by the album title. The key to understanding Andersson's vision for this album lies in the track titles; read separately, or taken together as a poem. The toll of a church bell escorts the listener on an existential voyage through the world according to Raison d'Etre, a bleak place populated by shadowy souls abandoned of all hope. But don't let that scare you away, because this remarkably beautiful collection of songs is a true remedy in this age of chaos; when the outside withers away, the inside fills with emptiness, and there's nothing left to believe in. ROME -- "Confessions d'un Voleur d'Ames" -- CD -- €13
2007 Cold Meat Industry, cmi172
Only a few months after the release of its first full-length album NERA, ROME is back yet again to show that it's here to stay. CONFESSIONS D'UN VOLEUR D'AMES is a call from a world where love and despair are locked in an embrace. A black craving in the fangs of war, the joys of stealth in a riot of blossoms. This second album is much calmer and rather more personal than NERA. These confessions are often dark and poetic, sometimes brutal, but most of all intimate. Again you will find traces of all kinds of genres of obscure music; ambient, neo-classical, dark wave, apocalyptic folk, martial industrial. ROME couldn't care less about boundaries of genres. However, the tone is less militant, the main themes being treachery and sacrifice, temperance and composure. With a distinctive slice of military suicide pop fiddled into their sound, ROME has established itself as one of the most lively and interesting "martial" folk acts up and about. These confessions prove that ROME has become a force to be reckoned with. [label info]

ROME -- "Nera" -- CD -- €13
2006 Cold Meat Industry, cmi164
ROME was founded in 2005 as a main output for the songs of Jerome Reuter, Luxembourg. Long time since a debut album was so eagerly awaited as by ROME, and Nera, which is the title of this brilliant piece, is "black" indeed. The atmosphere weighs heavy on the soul - a burden of flowers. However, ROME manages to include warmth and affection in its cold world of steel. The main characters in this language of lurking are defeated men - not unschooled by pain - in seedy places. ROME songs are full of citations, abstractions and ideals. The marching and counter-marching of doubtful armies luring our love away, with licit grace, icy and bitter irony. Gentle phantasms of desire. The reversal of sympathies. The aspects of eternity, spiritual hunger, treachery and corruption, shame and honour - being more than mere traps for the unsophisticated. These are some of Nera's interlocking themes in a world scorched by the wastefulness and cruelty of war. Nera is the meticulous patience of rage. Get it now and make it your friend, before it devours you. Presented in another beautifully debossed 4-panel digipak. [label info]

Sonne Hagal -- "Nidar" -- mCD -- €11
Grünwald
Sonne Hagal are working with the ambivalence of good and bad, light and shadow, live and death... overworking and interpret poems of William Blake. A blend mixture of fragile, atmospheric to folkish danceble tracks and their known manner, supported by Andreas Ritter (Forseti), Kim Larsen (Of The Wand And The Moon) and Matt Howden (Sieben). [press-release]

Spiritual Front -- "Armageddon Gigolo" -- CD -- €13
Trisol, TRI272CD
With fervent ballads combining "Mafia-folk", Nick Cave and Ennio Morricone - refined with a shot of Rock'n'Roll-Spirit - the Italian project SPIRITUAL FRONT along with their likeable singer Simone Salvatori have nestled cozily among different styles of music. What once started as a mixture of acoustic pop and free-style folk has soon turned out to be a charismatic live act and is just about to astonish the music business with their highly exceptional vision of Suicide Pop. Supported by the musicians of the Ennio Morricone Orchestra, the new album skillfully combines Western and Gangster film atmosphere and the aura of great entertainers which melt into a genuine, post-modern mixture. The result is music for the anarchistic youth of the future inspired by the spirit of the past. Vibrating guitar riffs, pointed piano chords, devoted strings and a subtle acoustic guitar support expressive English vocals which bewail the grievances of Machismo who is caught between an overwhelming drive for freedom and a romantic desire for eternity. This album definitely is a straight tip for all Bad Boys & Girls out there, for anarchistic rebels - and machos with a tender heart. Love and suffer with SPRITUAL FRONT. The limited first edition comes with a luxurious packaging: a 6-pages digipak with a 16-pages booklet. [label info]

Sturmpercht -- "Sürm ins Leben Wild Hinein!" -- CD -- €20
2007 Percht, Percht02, (ltd. 500)
Due to many requests for a digital version of the first Sturmpercht LP, we decided to rerelease this obscure pearl of Alpine-Folkmusic on CD now. The CD is limited to 500 copies and it comes in the same wooden artwork than the LP-version (only smaller: 15 x 16cm) and it's digitally remastered. This album is pure weird Alpine-Folk music with martial drinking-songs, alpine battle-hymns and strange fairie-tales out from the deepest Austrian and Bavarian forests, all embedded in a breath of black Monty Python humour.
